I can’t say enough good things about Healthy Baller, and Wesley Wang and Matt Boyd in particular. Thanks to their knowledge, facilities and passion for what they do, our daughter was able to successfully return to play following ACL surgery, commit to play for a top program in her sport and have an immediate impact on the field her freshman year of college.
Being able to work with a physical therapist and strength and conditioning coach in one location enabled her to complete her rehab in an optimal manner with experts coordinating her care and progression all throughout the process. Having the turf space to focus on sport specific activities, change of direction, deceleration, sprints, etc. was also extremely beneficial for her return to the field as a strong and confident player. The environment at Healthy Baller also provided a boost mentally during a tough period as she was able to rehab and work out among other student-athletes her age while receiving constant positive energy and encouragement from Matt and Wesley.
Even after she returned to play in high school, she continued to work with Healthy Baller until she departed for college and arrived there with strength and speed levels that put her ahead of most of her freshman teammates. We are extremely grateful to Healthy Baller, and recommend them to any student-athlete who is returning from injury or looking to improve strength and performance on the field.

After her ACL tear, Wesley, Alyssa, & Pete did an excellent job working as a team to get our daughter back to playing soccer. They were great at answering any question we had, setting expectations, communicating effectively with her surgeon, and provided the added bonus of wonderful companionship through the whole ACL recovery process. Sophia looked forward to her sessions and developed trust quickly.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Wesley Wang guide both of our daughters through ACL injuries—one as a high school athlete, the other with an ACL injury just before starting her college soccer career. His expertise in getting them (and all of his athletes) back to full strength and speed is unmatched. The time he puts in to learn and perfect his craft as an ACL injury expert is incredible and he is always building on his vast knowledge. But his impact goes far beyond the physical.
He has worked to rebuild their confidence, encouraged them on the hardest most tedious rehab days, and became not just their PT but their coach, mentor, and friend. Even when my daughter was away at college he checked in on her progress, encouraging her, making sure she knew she had someone in her court who could understand her challenges and would never let her down.
Thanks to Wes’s skill, dedication, and genuine care, they didn’t just return to soccer—they came back more resilient than ever. We are so grateful for the way Wes has been there for them in every sense. He’s simply the best!

I have trusted Alyssa Dudek to help my two high school athletes get back to playing the sports they love and I cannot say enough about her. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the body and injuries and yet completely approachable, positive and patient. Alyssa’s approach to physical therapy is completely holistic - she focuses on the body but never forgets the mental component - which is so critical especially when athletes are recovering from major surgery. Healthy Baller has been a big part of my children’s athletic journey over the past 6 years. I have three kids, all of whom play lacrosse. What sets Healthy Baller apart is how individualized their approach is. Each of my kids have different strengths, goals, and personalities. The coaches take the time to understand and bring out the best in each of them. My son trains with Jon Custodio, and my girls work with both Maddy Zarchin and Shelby Mercer. These coaches are knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly invested in their athletes. I’ve been training at HB all the way since I was in 5th grade and I owe so much of my athleticism to the trainers and the programs they set up for me. Having played 4 different varisty sports during highschool so far as a Junior I need to be able to keep my body at peak performance during each season whether that’s speed, agility, strength, or even how to recover without losing muscle.That’s exactly what this place does for me. I have been working with Matthew Pulleng and recently finished Physical Therapy with Wesley Wang after fracturing my foot who both have cared for me not just as an athlete but as a person too. We are so ecstatic we found Maddy Zarchin at Healthy Baller. Our daugther (11) who swims competitively is in her top shape thanks to Maddy. Her swim looks the strongest and less prone to injuries. She has fully transformed our daughter to a well rounded athlete.
Outside the gym what we love about working with Maddy is that she is very responsive. She has all the answers to our questions about injuries, muscle pains, movement, flexibility,…basically everything! She remembers the swim meet schedules so she can adjust the training accordingly as well as the intensity leading to the meets.
It's very impressive how Maddy has transformed the challenging and difficult training sessions into something that my daughter looks forward to every week. We are confident that our daughter will take this lesson of hard work and apply it to other areas in her life.
We really got lucky with Maddy and we are looking forward to continue working with her for a very long time.

Can’t say enough positive things about Coach Maddy and Healthy Ballers. Super thankful to their level of attention and detail. And coach maddy cares for our kids as much as we do in terms of their health and fitness. I was worried that the workouts may be too tough and our kids may not want to go back. And honestly the workouts are tough. But coach Maddy does such a good job, our kids have not missed any workouts since starting in the summer. Both of my daughters train at this location. My youngest is a pre-professional dancer who had knee pain. She went in for physical training with Gary Loggins, who was AWESOME! He was amazing to work with, very kind, flexible, and patient, and strengthened her body to the point that she no longer has the pain. Additionally, my oldest daughter is a D1 recruited lacrosse player who has been working with Matt Boyd for years. He has done an amazing job helping her add muscle and get stronger WHILE improving her speed and agility. The entire HB team is great. As an adult, I'm jealous of my kids every time they get to train here.

I’m glad I chose Healthy Baller for PT when I had a knee injury. They have a nice clean environment and space to give me the attention I needed. I worked with Gary for Physical Therapy on my knee during my marathon training. He is very professional and did a great job at helping me understand how my body was affected by the injury and working out the muscles around the injury. He was personable and took the time to explain the impact of the exercises and a simple plan I could do at home. On race day I was able to go through the routine and run with minimal pain and discomfort than I was before. I’m thankful for his expertise!

I've had the privilege of training with Matt, Chris, Wes, and Wesley since I was first going into high school. Now in my junior year of college, I can confidently say that the team at HB has prepared me for anything I do at school or on the field. Beyond that, I've built some of the best relationships with the staff who truly feel like family. The environment and culture they've created is unmatched, and it's somewhere I always want to be when I'm home on breaks. Healthy Baller is truly one of a kind. Kristine aka Sweezey is the best!!! I came to her 6 months after my ACL/meniscus surgery. I really wish I had started with her straight away. She always encouraged me and pushed to where I needed to be, even when I was exhausted from a long day at work or from chasing after a toddler all day. Sweezey is so knowledgeable and patient! What I really liked was the variety of exercises she had me do from session to session - I never knew what to expect! She made our sessions fun yet challenging and I actually enjoyed spending 2 nights a week at PT!

Before I started working with Kristine Sweezey I was scared I was never going to be back to 100 percent from my patellar tendon rupture. She got to know me very quickly, asking me questions about how I like to receive care before helping me create a plan that is tailored to me. She comes in with a smile on her face and pushes you to get better every single session. I can honestly say I felt better walking out of every single session with Kristine than when I came in. It was a tough time mentally dealing with such a traumatic injury but she makes me look forward to recovery each week working with someone that truly cares about her patients. I’m lucky to have worked with Kristine since day one of my recovery, someone that takes the time to learn how their patients like to work and is incredibly knowledgeable at her craft. I’ve only been working with Jon Custodio at the Rockville location for a few months now, but I’ve already seen some major improvements in my strength, endurance, and speed. Even my coaches have made comments about the changes they have seen in me both on and off the tennis court. I started at Healthy Baller three years ago for physical therapy after a knee replacement. I progressed and continued my strength & conditioning training with Jon Custodio. Jon motivates me and plans workouts for me that keep me excited and continues to improve my strength and overall wellbeing. Jon asks me what my goals are and is helping me to reach them! Being in my 60’s I want to stay strong and want to continue with my activities without injury, like playing pickle ball and keeping up with grandkids! Jon is knowledgeable in the right exercises for me that continue to make me stronger without injury! Matthew Pulleng has been working with our 17 year old son for about a year. The work Matthew has done has been nothing short of transformational. Our son has lost almost 30 lbs and has gone from not being able to do basic exercises to almost benching his weight/box jumps/weight sleds/ battle ropes, etc. It always amazing to see the changes as he puts the work in the gym. My 10-year-old daughter is a Level 7 gymnast and started working with Matthew Pulleng about 9 months ago to improve her power and dynamics. She's seen a huge change at practice--her tumbling is higher, her run on vault is so much faster, and she's much less prone to injury when she has a short landing or turns an ankle. She also absolutely loves her sessions with Matthew. He makes conditioning and strength training fun, and constantly challenges her to improve. He's also just an incredibly kind, supportive, and wonderful person to have in my daughter's corner. And he's really invested in her--he has attended several of her meets to watch and cheer her on, and after seeing in person the dynamics of the events she performs, he went back and retooled her training to be as helpful as possible to her gymnastics. Healthy Baller is the absolute best facility with the best highly trained staff. As a very active adult, I was devastated by a serious knee injury. After hunting for a PT facility, I settled on Healthy Baller and Dr. Kristine Sweezey. She is thoughtful and thorough in her evaluation of progress and made each session feel more like a solid workout. How many people can say they didn't want PT to end? I probably stayed in PT a little longer than I should have just to continue working with Kristine.
I have now moved to the training side of Healthy Baller and love every session with Jon Custodio. He crafts a new workout each time and pushes me to be my best. Jon is fun, engaging and extremely focused on doing the exercises with the right form. I workout with Jon twice a week and am devastated if I have to miss a session. I am stronger, faster and even more confident post-knee injury. I now have my high school son working out with Jon as well.
Their focus may be on youth athletes, but as an active, athletic adult I feel at home at Healthy Baller. It feels like family at Healthy Baller.

I have been lucky enough to work with Wesley Wang and Taylor Blenckstone, and all I have to say are great things. Wesley is an incredible physical therapist who works hard with all his athletes and uses his thorough knowledge in physical therapy to make him an effective and successful physical therapist. He is also a genuinely kind person and I am so lucky to have worked with him. Taylor Blenckstone is a lacrosse trainer at healthy baller, and she has been wonderful too. She uses her skills and knowledge of the sport to teach myself and others to be better athletes in all areas of lacrosse. I have learned so much from her. Our sessions are productive but also super fun. I always have a great time with her because she has a superb attitude and relatability. She is an amazing part of the healthy Baller team. Dr. Kristine Sweezey has been fantastic doing physical therapy with my two kids who are competitive swimmers. She helped my daughter - who was doing PT for the first time - rehab tendinitis in both shoulders with sessions at Healthy Baller and easy to follow plans for home exercises. My kids love working with Kristine and she has taken great care and time to track how they're doing each week and adjusting session intensities due to their swim meet schedules. My daughter was able to return to swimming all four strokes at full intensity and had a successful summer swim season thanks to Kristine and super trainer Lee Sommers. I saw Kristine Sweezey from March 2020 to April 2021 to recover from my ACL replacement surgery and while the process of recovering from my injury was difficult, my experience at Healthy Baller was amazing. If I ever get injured again (which hopefully I don’t!), I would never consider going anywhere else or seeing anyone else for physical therapy. The environment was amazing and the people here were so understanding, kind, fun, and supportive. I was focused on getting back to running, but I would recommend coming here even if your main focus isn’t getting back to a sport because they really do a great job of supporting everyone no matter what their end goal is. I know so many people who have gone to Healthy Baller for various reasons and have all had the same great experience I did.
Additionally, every staff member here is amazing, but I’m biased towards Kristine who is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met (and probably will ever meet) - she was so caring and unconditionally supportive when my knee was bothering me or the exercise was tough, but she also kept pushing me to get stronger every time.

Dr. Sweezey is an amazing therapist. She will take the time to listen to your concerns and clarify any questions you will have. I have a torn labrum in my right hip which caused pain when taking steps. Through the direction of Dr. Sweezey, we were able to strengthen the surrounding muscles to improve not just the pain, but mobility and strength as well. Healthy Baller is not a patient mill. My kids have trained at HB in the past, but we had never used it for PT until my son broke his leg playing hockey. Our orthopedist recommended HB and we ended up working with Kristine Sweezey. Kristine was amazing -- very professional, and followed the directions of the ortho, while appropriately pushing my son in his rehab. Once the bone itself was healed, Kristine shifted her focus to muscle strengthening to ensure that the leg would not be prone to another fracture due to muscle weakness. She always stayed in touch with us as the parents, but most importantly, my son always knew what the plan was for his rehab, and what the collective goal was for getting him back on the ice, the field, the court, etc. Tough any way you slice it for a 14 year old athlete to be sidelined by a broken leg, but it was made so much easier by the PT, activity and exercises, mental support, and overall progress toward healing that was provided by Kristine at HB. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Healthy Ballers is an awesome place to rehab an injury! You are provided with one-on-one training and rehab, but even then so, other trainers and physical therapists that aren’t specifically working with you are also concerned with your progress. The one-on-one aspect was very beneficial to me because I am now finishing PT with a plethora of different exercises to
do on my own with training that lets me know I am doing them correctly. I had labrum surgery and went to Healthy Ballers for my PT, and they helped me recover quicker and more efficiently than I could have imagined. I would highly recommend Healthy Ballers to anyone looking for efficient, hands-on training and a great environment for recovery.

Healthy Baller definitely offers top notch coaching! The trainer I work with, Taylor Blenckstone, has been incredible. She’s so skilled, encouraging, motivating and has great enthusiasm. I came to Healthy Baller as an athlete looking to transition from soccer to lacrosse. After a long break from playing lacrosse, I knew I needed to get back up to speed quickly. Coach Molly has been an excellent coach. I have been training with her for about 10 months now and I can truly see the difference in my stamina, strength and running abilities. She was super kind and welcoming when I first started and now I am able to trust her. She is very understanding and helps push you to your limits and achieve things I didn’t think I could. Matt is the best strength and conditioning coach that I have had. I have been working with Matt for five plus years and have enjoyed every second at Healthy Baller. He has helped me reach and accomplish all of my personal goals. Matt cares for each and everyone of the athletes. For example, if I were to come into the gym with something bothering me, he would accommodate and modify the workout for me. Later, he would text me and check back in to see how I was feeling/doing. Dr. Alyssa Semones is fantastic! I went to her about some lingering knee pain that she was quickly able to correctly diagnosis. She got me on a regimen of PT and strength training exercises that got me back to 100%, unlike my previous PT.
