Prepare for Performance (PFP) and the owner, Julian, were introduced to me by my physical therapist. I had a knee injury and my therapist suggested that I work with a personal trainer to help me strengthen my core to improve my overall recovery. Julian and his team are excellent — caring, compassionate, professional and super knowledgeable. They create special workouts to meet your individual needs. I started my journey nearly 2 months ago and my workouts are different every time! The gym itself is well equipped and super clean. Sign up with any of the trainers at PFP and thank me later!! I absolutely love this place and this team. Feeling stronger every day!

Recently joined PFP and love it! It's especially great for me because it takes the thinking and planning out of the equation. The schedule is straightforward and consistent, the trainers (Aubrey, Jason, and Julian) are just amazing. So personable, knowledgeable and supportive. I just show up and get to work. I love the small group size because it really feels like a personal training session but without the pressure of being the sole focus! The workouts are also well designed. They target muscles that I know I'd miss if I were working out on my own. I'm relieved to have found PFP because I keep reading about how important it is to maintain muscle mass as you get older to prevent injuries and optimize your quality of life down the road.

I’ve been a member at several gyms different gyms in the area (big box, CrossFit, boot camps) and PFP has been the best fit for my fitness goals and schedule. The workouts are varied and challenging with focus on upper/lower body weight training with cardio mixed in.
The training staff is excellent; Julian, Aubrey, Jason, Joe, Evan and Craig are all knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely supportive. The class times and online booking also are quite convenient and makes planning my week very straightforward.
PFP has created a great gym dynamic where you are part of a fitness community, not just another face in the crowd. The seasonal get-togethers as well as charitable drives and initiatives are much appreciated.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a gym that offers smart programming, great people, and a motivating atmosphere.

One of the few gyms in the area that truly focuses on weightlifting rather than HIIT. I really enjoy these classes—they’ve helped me get back into lifting in a supportive, motivating environment. It’s great because you get the benefits of personal training without the pressure of one-on-one sessions, so you can learn proper form and feel confident while training.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! What really sets it apart is the dedication they show not just to athletes, but to people of all ages and fitness levels. The attention to detail in every session makes such a difference—you can tell they truly care about helping each person move better and get stronger. Julian, in particular, is incredibly knowledgeable about sports performance and takes the time to explain things in a way that’s easy to understand and apply. Whether you’re an athlete looking to elevate your game or just someone who wants to improve overall health, this is the place to be!

I’ve been a member at PFP for over two years now, and it has truly been life-changing. I’ve consistently been able to meet my fitness goals while actually enjoying the process. The workouts are always challenging, fun, and effective—and I love the variety that keeps me motivated. The camaraderie here is something special; the team and the other members make every session something I look forward to.
One of the biggest wins for me has been staying injury-free while training three (or more) times a week. The coaches really focus on form, safety, and building strength the right way, and it shows in my results. I can’t recommend PFP highly enough for anyone looking for a supportive, motivating, and results-driven fitness community.

PFP is FANTASTIC and such a welcoming place for young athletes! My daughter (rising 8th grader) joined the youth athlete summer training program end of June. She plays club soccer and basketball and wanted to start prepping for High School -- leveling up on her strength, speed and agility. Even though you get a week trial period, after her first class she was like ... YEP, sign me up! She loves it so much and has seen some major improvements in just a few weeks! She's so motivated to get in her multiple trainings throughout the week and was really missing the classes during the weeks she had sports camps. The facility is super clean, the trainers (Joe and Evan) are awesome, ensuring proper form and creating new workouts every day. The owner Julian is extremely knowledgeable, personable and responsive and offers great advice and coaching. Love the weekly blog emails he sends members which provide an abundance of education on health, fitness and training tips. The class sign-up in their app is also super simple and we love that the classes are kept to a small group size for that personal attention. Highly recommend PFP for any youth athletes and / or adults looking for a more personalized functional fitness training experience and community!

Love PFP!!! I joined back in 2023 after my friend Val suggested I try it out. I was disillusioned with other gyms and recovering from shoulder injuries. Working closely with Julian, he came up with a plan that allowed me to rehab my shoulder and gain strength back. Small group personal training is so beneficial at PFP. The coaches are all very knowledgeable and work quickly to give you alternatives. The emphasis is on functional fitness and not just “add some more weight “. The members are great too! Lots of camaraderie and support. Check it out!!💪🏻💕

Great gym with wonderful instructors. A really good option for people who want to be pushed to exercise more and done in a way that doesn’t only revolve around seeing how many plates you’re moving.
Jun 2025 Update: Mid 40's. I broke my ankle (fibula) in a fall while at a ski resort, and I was in a cast for 10 weeks. I had substantial weakness coming from loss of activity, and pretty general pain especially in morning / weight emphasis on recovering leg. I did a couple of months of PT but progress was slow. Maybe 2 more months after trying to manage myself / cycling / light jogging, I finally came back to to PFP.
It's been helpful get back into strength training. I know I'm getting older and healing takes longer, but I didn't want an injury to lead to reduced activity and an a surrender to a slower life. I enjoy having a training program that is total body focused and not "what I can do easily" focused. I feel at least as strong as I was before the injury, but I took the injury as a wakeup to continue training and hopefully prevent further / subsequent injuries in the future.
The team at PFP is good about making sure my form is correct, that I'm pushing out of my comfort zone, and I'm appreciating the improvements in movement that I've experienced in my 2 months back.

My name is Deborah, and I am 68 years young. I have been coming to Julian’s gym from its inception in 2017.
I have been working out for 30 years at various gyms. My biggest goal was to continue to stay in the best possible condition as I aged. With the help of Julian and his staff and encouragement I was able to meet that goal.
The biggest change is my eating habit. Julian provides help with best eating practices, which in turn helps with your work out program and meeting your desired goal. Additionally, I have firmed up and gained strength. Which when you get older is important to your overall health.
I would recommend training with PFP. The classes are great, meet new people, there is also private training and PT. You are never pushed into something that you cannot do. You are encouraged to try, but there are usually alternatives. You are encouraged to push yourself and you may be surprised at what you can accomplish. Something worth doing is never easy.
PFP is like a family. His team will work closely with you to make you the person you envision. This change does not take place over night. You must be consistent. It takes six months to make to form a habit. It requires a commitment of 3 to 4 hours a week. Go to the gym instead of sitting in front of the TV for those 4 hours.

Prepare for performance is all around fantastic!! I love that I can show up to my workouts and know that by the end of the week I will have gotten a full body workout including cardio. All I have to do is show up and give it my best. Julian (the mastermind behind it all) the owner is very knowledgeable and puts so much effort in creating unique daily workouts. I’m always amazed by the combination of workouts he puts together and how it targets different parts of my body! Lastly, if I have any aches or pains Julian will give me tips on how to help and if he can’t solve it he has great recommendations on who can help. You can tell it’s his passion and he cares about us.
All the trainers are great but I mostly work with Aubrey who is exceptional!! She is a joy to see first thing in the morning! She has great energy, very sweet and knowledgeable. She is quick to fix my form and also there to make sure I am pushing myself. She is just a lovely human! Lastly, the people in my classes are a great group of people. Great atmosphere all around.
Youth athlete group training: My 8 year old son, “likes that there are many different drills and you never know what you are going do except that day.”
I love that at a young age he is learning proper form, working on speed, agility and most importantly having fun while doing it all. He is building strength and power to help him on the soccer field and in the pool! The trainers are also encouraging and energetic!!

I can't say enough amazing things about Prepare for Performance, its owner, Julian, and the fantastic staff there. I am currently recovering from a shoulder injury, specifically a torn AC joint, and after extensive physical therapy, I reached a point where I needed to transition to a gym that could help rehabilitate my injury through personalized training. I wanted professional guidance to ensure I wouldn't reinjure myself.
Although I am quite familiar with the gym and lifting weights, my job as a nurse in a busy ICU is quite physical, which increases my risk of reinjury without proper conditioning. I didn't feel comfortable returning to the gym to work on regaining my upper body strength and conditioning alone. That’s when I found Julian and Prepare for Performance.
During our phone conversation, I found him to be highly professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, patient and understanding. He answered all my questions clearly and encouraged me to come to the gym for a one-on-one consultation, which then transitioned into a trial. Since that first visit, I've been fully committed to my recovery by working with Julian and his team, and I haven’t looked back.
I have been a member for just over two months, and to say my strength and range of motion have improved significantly is an understatement. When I first started with the team, my strength and range of motion were limited, and I could barely lift more than 5 pounds. But now I can do full-body pushups, overhead presses, lateral raises, planks (high to low), bear crawls, sled pushes, and band-assisted pull-ups—the whole shebang. None of this would have been possible on my own in such a short time. Julian curates fantastic group personal training programs every month that encompasses not just power, strength, agility, and mobility but also weightlifting with correct form and technique, isolating muscle groups and enabling you to focus on progressive overload.
The small group setting allows trainers to walk through and correct form while motivating you to push yourself harder than you would alone.
The trainers, Aubrey, Joe, Craig, and Evan, are always hands-on, carefully monitoring my form to ensure I execute every exercise with proper technique, which is especially important when recovering from an injury. They’ve been flexible with my progress as well, adjusting my workouts as my shoulder improves and keeping me challenged without pushing me too hard too soon. They listen to me, and I listen to my body.
The atmosphere here is supportive and positive. Everyone, from the staff to the other clients, creates a motivating environment that makes you want to show up. I never feel judged, and the trainers are always available to answer questions or provide guidance if I need it.
Thanks to their help, I’m finally seeing real progress. I’ve regained strength and mobility in my shoulder that I honestly thought would have taken longer. I still have a ways to go, but I feel confident in my recovery, and I have the team to thank.
I have been a member of Equinox and Lifetime, and neither of those could ever offer me the value, training expertise, and commitment to my success that I have received as a member of Prepared for Performance for such a short time.
If you’re dealing with an injury and need personalized, expert care to get you back to full strength, this gym is the place to go.

In October 2023, Julian from Preper for Performance found us. I was looking for someone on Facebook to help my 8-year-old son improve his fitness and develop his motor skills. As an overweight child, he always avoided certain types of games at the playground and lacked self-confidence. I wanted to help him build his self-esteem and learn to love himself. We knew that the only long-term solution was for him to develop a love for regular exercise. We were thrilled with the Prepare for Performance classes, and Julian, Craig, and Joe were a great help to him. A few months ago, we switched my 6-year-old son from MyGym classes to Prepare for Performance classes as well. They always enjoy going to the workouts, and it's a joy to see the happiness on their faces after the sessions. As a parent, I am very satisfied with the guys. They conduct very professional classes, and I always felt confident turning to them. Even when my older son had a cast on his leg, he received expert and careful training. They also provided a lot of support during his recovery after the cast was removed. We are grateful to you guys and warmly recommend the Prepare for Performance athletic training classes to everyone.

After a frustrating search for an in-person gym that offered personalized attention and injury prevention, I finally found Prepare for Performance (PFP). From the first class, the positive and knowledgeable trainers impressed me. They not only push me to reach my strength goals but also demonstrate proper form to help me prevent injuries. The wide variety of equipment, including kettlebells, TRX, bands, and a variety of free weights, and weighted balls keep the workouts interesting, and the small class sizes ensure trainers can offer personalized modifications for every exercise. The format and monthly programming work all muscle groups, and I see clear progress from week to week. PFP's supportive community creates a positive environment that goes beyond physical fitness and helps me keep my mental health in check. I retired a year ago and started day 1 of retirement with a 6-week introductory program at Prepare for Performance -- after that introductory program, I immediately signed on for a full membership. This was one of the best decisions I could have made. I'm a fairly active older adult, but I was particularly looking to increase my strength and muscle mass -- PFP has proved to be ideal for this. Their classes are varied, with each day of the week offering a different workout and the overall schedule updated every month. Each daily workout focuses on strength, power, and conditioning -- they are challenging, and Julian puts a great deal of effort into ensuring that these workouts are inventive and get results. I'm a regular attendee of the 11 AM class, and trainer Aubrey is fantastic -- she is engaged with everyone in the class, is attentive to everyone's form, and offers modifications as necessary for individual situations. She radiates positive energy. Besides providing excellent workouts, PFP provides a supportive, relaxed, and encouraging environment. I've gotten to know the regulars who attend class, and there is a real sense of community among members -- attending PFP classes is one of the highlights of my day. I highly recommend PFP for anyone looking to improve their fitness in a professional, supportive, and welcoming environment.

Prepare for Performance Gym has been a total game-changer for me. Their app is ridiculously easy to use, so I can book classes without any hassle. And if I ever need to cancel last minute, their policy is super fair and doesn’t hit my wallet hard. All the trainers are awesome - with a well deserved shout-out to Aubrey for being incredible at making sure I’m using the right form, so I get the most out of every workout and stay injury-free. PFP is a great way to get a work out in to stay fit for soccer and just about anything else. They work on improving all aspects of your body in order for you to get that shape you want to be at. I also really liked how I was able to get treatment on my ankle when I was injured, Julian was extremely helpful with that. Overall I would 100% recommend athletes, people, anything who wanted to be on top of their game or just stay in great shape they should all try pfp.

I have happily been going to the gym for a full year now and it is safe to say it is all because of the encouragement, structure, support, motivation, accountability, and community that Prepare for Performance has provided. You can see in my first review after 6 months I was very happy with the progress that had occurred and couldn’t believe that I had stuck it out for 6 months. The 2nd 6 months has been nothing short of awe inspiring. I was told by Julian, the owner, if I was consistent and kept showing up week after week that I would see the progress and reach the goals that seemed unattainable. He was right!
With PFPs constant dedication and ability to motivate and push me at the gym I am now a total of 80lbs down and counting and I have lost over 36 inches in the last 6 months. I am comfortably a size 2 in jeans, have visible muscle and even more energy. PFP has found a way to push me to my limits and help me explore what my body is capable of. I enjoy showing up, doing the workout, and feeling like a rock star when I leave. The best part of this journey has been the difference in my confidence and happiness. Shedding the weight, gaining the muscle, and growing my confidence has been life altering. I can’t say enough great things about my experience at Prepare for Performance. Every month having a check-in, discussing my foods and changes in my body, and acknowledging progress has been all part of the support and accountability that has brought so much success. The first year has been beyond my imagination, I look forward to continuing this journey and seeing what else my body can do and how strong it can get. I highly suggest that if you need to reset your fitness goals (big or small) or are looking for a boost in confidence call this gym. It was the best thing I could have done for myself!

I've been attending Prepare for Performance for over three months, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! I'm not a fan of large, crowded gyms as I often find them overwhelming. I prefer the small group classes with a dedicated trainer, which has significantly improved my form, conditioning, and overall strength. What sets them apart is the personalized advice, resources, and tips they provide to support your fitness journey. And the pricing, in my opinion, is quite reasonable for the value it has to offer.

I just completed my two-week trial at Prepare For Performance and signing up as a full member was a no brainer. Perfect for people (like me) who wander around larger gyms not quite knowing what to do and just settling on cardio. The small group setting is motivating, the trainers are friendly and the hour flys by. You get the feel of a class but with the 1:1 correction and attention of personal training - great combination. I love that each day's routine is different and that i'm trying exercises and equipment in ways I would have never thought to on my own. Highly recommend!

My teen daughter has been attending Prepare for Performance (PFP) since June 2022. Initially, we joined based on positive feedback from a referral and began with overall Strength & Conditioning training. We all were very impressed from the beginning with the training staff, equipment, and the ability to tailor programs to the sport(s) being played. In Summer 2023, my daughter has participated in Soccer Training with Christian. In her words, “Christian trains and prepares you for the position you intend to play, he spends a lot of time on technique, he’s great at incorporating multiple people (when available) to maximize training, as well as 1v1, and ultimately, he trains you hard.” My daughter typically trains 3-4 times a week and if she could, she’d train multiple times a day at PFP! And just as important, as a parent of a non-driving teen, Julian is the most flexible and accessible person anyone could work with when it comes to finding training times that work best for everyone’s schedules. We highly recommend Julian, Christian and PFP!

I have tried many different programs, classes, and gyms over the years -- and I can safely say that my time at Prepare for Performance is the most fun I've ever had in the gym.
Making strength training a habit is something I've wanted to do for a long time, but I have struggled to find my groove with it. (We all read about how important it is -- especially for women in their 40s and up.) I was having a hard time maintaining consistency with at-home video workouts, app-subscription programs for gym/home workouts, and large classes. I realized I needed to try something different.
Prepare for Performance takes the guesswork out of integrating strength training into my busy life. The workouts are thoughtfully and efficiently designed, modifiable to fit my body, and varied (never boring!). The small group training format brings the best of both worlds -- you get individualized attention from expert coaches *and* you feel an incredible sense of community working out with others. This is a truly welcoming and unique gym, and I am so grateful to have found it.

My two daughters (both soccer players) have been going to Prepare for Performance all summer for performance and soccer training. We were particularly concerned about injury prevention, having seen several bad (ACL tear) injuries on both of their teams. The program is well thought-out and well-organized, based on sports science. I can see that both girls are stronger and faster than when they started. Christian's soccer training sessions are also great - technical and intense. PfP's scheduling app is also terrific - very easy to schedule sessions and make changes if needed. We really love PfP and plan to keep coming for training!

I’ve been going to Prepare for Performance for 6 months and I can safely say it was the best decision I made in 2022. Over the course of the last 6 months I have lost 35lbs, countless inches, and more than 2 dress sizes. My body composition is changing and I give them all the credit. My off-the scale victories have been just as great having more motivation, energy, and a more positive mindset.
Working with Christian the last 6 months has been a great experience. I came to the gym out of shape, very inflexible, I struggled to do most workouts and I genuinely did not want to be there. Christian has been patience, kind, encouraging and supportive throughout this journey. His ability to push and motivate me has built my confidence at the gym and every week I can see small positive changes and gains that have been accumulating into bigger wins. Most importantly I now look forward to gym days and dislike rest days!
From day one Julian, the owner, has been very supportive and easy to work with. He helped me come up with goals and a plan of action to achieve those goals. Any health, food, fitness question or concern I’ve had, has been addressed promptly with ease and lots of knowledge. It is apparent he loves what he does and loves to see his clients succeed. You are in no better hands on your fitness and health journey than with PFP. You will not regret working with Julian and Christian and the rest of his staff!

I found my “forever” gym in Prepare for Performance 2 ½ months ago and already I have increased my strength, changed 2 lbs of fat to muscle, and improved my eating habits. As a woman of a certain age (over 65) with osteopenia, L4 L5 issues, a recurring case of frozen shoulder, and experience with MANY personal trainers at gyms and at my home over the years, I was looking for a place that concentrated solely on strength training and had the expertise to make adjustments as needed. I found that at PFP with the owner, Julian, and one of the trainers, Christian. You can have the best equipment, the best trainers, the ideal location, the optimum schedule but in the end, it comes down to you. If you are not consistent, and if you don't make it a priority in your life, you won’t achieve your goals. At PFP, I am more motivated than I have ever been to put in the time, and I am finally seeing tangible results. I can’t wait to get to the gym and would go 6x a week if I could. My only regret is not finding the gym sooner. Here’s what I like about Prepare for Performance:
1. The small group adult training sessions: These are a hybrid format – mix of personal training in a group setting. The trainer demonstrates each exercise, and we go through them at our own pace. The trainer provides targeted help, corrects form, and advises each of us individually on the amount of weight we should be using. There are a variety of class times to choose from and that flexible scheduling is a plus.
2. The daily exercise plan: Each day, there is a set warm up and a series of exercises designed to increase power and strength, followed by a cardio section. These change monthly. This format helps you to continue to improve your form and over a month you can see real gains in your strength and power. There are a wide variety of exercises that work upper and lower body. You’ll never be bored, you’ll always be challenged, and you’ll work muscles you had forgotten you had.
3. Focus on functional strength training: This isn’t a typical gym with all the circuit machines. There are ropes, heavy sleds to push, free weights, kettle bells, TRX, medicine balls, etc. We push, pull, squat, lunge, do agility, balance, and power exercises – all the things we need to stay strong as we age.
4. Staff expertise: I trust the trainers. They know their business; they know how to adjust for injuries or chronic conditions, and they know when and how far to push. I can’t slack here. They will not let me get away with doing a set at the same weight if they know I am capable of more. They’ve also been good at identifying weak/problem areas and providing me with individualized exercises to address them.
5. Supportive community: I didn't know anyone when I joined but the gym engenders a community spirit where we support each other. You are only in competition with yourself – to do better than you did the day before and it’s okay that there are people who will lift more or do more chin ups. We cheer each other on and that’s what makes the hard work more bearable and fun and the goals attainable.

I had a grade 2 almost grade 3 sprain in my MCL and meniscus. I was out for about 3 months but when I started training again I asked Julian to send me a program to do to strengthen my knee and get back to full fitness. I came to see Julian because I had a goal of being in the best physical shape of my life when I hit my 60th birthday (and that has been achieved). It was super important for me to find someone who understood how to train someone at my age, especially given that I was a bodybuilder back in my 20's & 30's and trying to train like that again would most likely cause injury. He did a very thorough initial assessment and identified areas that needed to be dealt with first to establish a good base and then we went from there. It's been almost a year, and I have seen the results big time in my strength, conditioning and physical appearance. Julian REALLY knows his stuff, I recommend him 1000%.

Before starting personal training at Prepare for Performance I had been suffering with chronic sports injuries for years. On top of that, in May 2022 I had to have surgery after an accident. Years of poor health had left me extremely weak, underweight, and injury prone. I tried a few times to get back into shape on my own, but I failed due to different injuries that kept coming up. I started personal training with Christian in December 2022 with the goal of becoming stronger and building muscle. At the start Christian and I discussed my goals and created a plan, and then we worked around injuries as they came up. After 3 months training at PFP I am extremely happy with the results. I have gained 12 pounds, my strength has drastically increased, and my body has become much less susceptible to injuries. After years of pain and hopelessness I finally feel athletic again. Without Christian and Julian’s guidance and support I would not have been able to come out of the hole I was in.

My daughter has been training with PFP for close to a year and she loves working with all the trainers. She plays competitive soccer and we not only wanted to improve her speed, strength, and power, but also train the non soccer muscles to prevent injury that is common with kids that just do soccer all year round. Julian starts all of his young athletes with an assessment to establish a benchmark and to focus on areas that need improvement and along with his team (Craig and Christian) closely monitor the young athletes progression. Classes are small, so they get individual attention and they are very good with making sure they have proper form and technique.
My daughter said she feels that her speed, strength, power, and balance have all improved and I see it when she's playing in games.
She also did soccer performance training with Christian during the winter to get her ready for the Spring season and my daughter really loved it and said the drills were challenging and Christian (who has a high level soccer background) customized each session to work on areas of her game that she wanted to improve.
Julian is very responsive and always gets back to us quickly if we have questions. We have tried several other performance gyms and the sessions either had too many kids, were the same exercises every week, or there was just too many other group sessions going on at the same time. It was also not as personal as PFP.
I highly recommend PFP.

Julian and the team at Prepare for Performance are amazing at getting results for their clients. We have two high school age athletes and wanted to help them get stronger, faster, and more agile. One of them was carrying an injury for a year, that was causing them to struggle in their sport. Julian designed a tailored program for our needs. Both kids have gotten so much stronger and more athletic, over the last year, and it is showing on the field. The injury has gone away and now they run faster and more powerfully then before the injury. The best part is that they really enjoy going and find it very rewarding. I never have to push them to go to their workouts. We are very grateful to Prepare for Performance for their hard work in helping our kids get more out of their competitive athletics. I started with Prepare for Performance back in April 2022 with their two week introductory program and it was the best decision I made for myself. The small group adult training hooked me in right away. I’ve been to other gyms and I’d never felt as supported as I have here, not only by the coaches but by the other members of the gym. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient and kind. They will work with your abilities – scale and modify the workouts if needed and push you when appropriate. Julian, the owner, is attentive and flexible and will work with you to ensure a positive experience. He checks in with us frequently to see how we are doing, offers advice so we can better achieve our goals, and it’s so evident he is 100% invested in this work and his clients. I get an adrenaline rush at every session, feel great and see a difference in my body composition. Even if it's hard, he makes it doable, and breaks it down so you fully understand how to do it and why it will benefit you. He is so compassionate, and CARES about you and your goals. He knows SO much, and every workout is designed for you and what you want to accomplish. He checks in with you all the time to see how you're feeling. He's getting his PhD which means he's so invested in what he does, he's so passionate about it. I've had many trainers in the past, but Julian is most definitely my last one. I can't imagine a better overall person, and a more knowledgable, caring, compassionate, FUN trainer. You will most definitely find yourself smiling, even during intense, hard workouts!

(If I could give 10 stars I would!!) I’ve tried everything when it comes to exercise. Cycling clases, group classes, online videos and the problem always was, that there’s no one there to tell me what was right or wrong. Either there were TOO many people in a class, or I did it by myself and didn’t really know what I was doing. Eventually I stopped exercising all together.
That changed when I started going to PFP. It has motivated me to keep going. The classes are small enough to have someone always coach you through the exercises you’re doing. Everyone is super welcoming, which is very important when you go to a new gym. The coaches are SO NICE, supportive and FUN! I actually LOVE going to the gym, it doesn’t feel like a chore. I’ve lost weight and feel stronger and healthier. I love PFP and I’m sure you will too!

I thoroughly enjoy the classes at Prepare for Performance. As an adult who continues to compete in sports, the classes are challenging and the trainers help you set up weights that make each workout difficult but not impossible. Julian also has friends he can refer you to for help with massage therapy and nutrition. The well balanced exercises and nutrition plan helped me gain a lot more muscle while dropping fat. I especially enjoy that the classes are capped, and small, but there are always enough people to push each other to finish the sets and have a great workout. I highly recommend this gym.

Julian (owner) and Christian (trainer) are both amazing trainers (they are the only ones I have worked with) They really pay attention to what your needs are and help you to do the correct workout for your goals to be met. You are able to work at your own pace and they never make you feel pressured, but they will let you know if they think you can do more. They are always encouraging and keep you feeling positive. I've only been working out with them for about 3 months and I already see and feel a difference in my body. Definitely recommend you giving Prepare For Performance a try.

This is hands down the best gym experience I have ever had. Julian makes personalized workouts that fit your individual needs, and he’s always there to make sure you know what you are doing and he’ll assist in anyway.
I started with Julian without any background in weight training, but I started seeing results after a short amount of time. I’ve got much stronger, my body got toned, and my posture has really improved.
Highly recommend

Throughout the lockdown, Julian kept me in phenomenal shape and helped me build muscle and cardiovascular strength. Through this, I was able to improve drastically on the soccer field, becoming quicker and stronger on and off the ball. His workouts were extremely impactful, as I saw improvements within a few weeks. When it comes to anything related to exercise, Julian is the person to go to!

Going to the gym has always been overwhelming for me. However, having coaches and physical trainers who clearly know their stuff has been really helpful. They help balance pushing yourself while also making sure you don't hurt yourself. The classes are full of friendly people who you will see again. It becomes a a friendly and encouraging environment.

My son trained at PFP over the past year. He gained tremendous strength and endurance through Julian’s and his staff’s phenomenal instruction and training. Entering the Army (ROTC) Reserve Officers’ Training Corps in college two weeks ago, he felt confident in his ability to keep pace with the physical challenges ahead of him. Julian is exceptionally competent and knowledgeable and only hires the best trainers in the field. Thank you, Julian and the PFP staff.

My son is a rising sophomore at churchhill and is crazy about soccer. I came across Julian as he is the junior varsity coach. My son went to some of the fitness training sessions at “Prepare for performance” and loved it. We also requested Julian to train My son with his soccer skills and Julian was fabulous. My son’s skill level and game sense has improved a lot over the last few months. He also guided us towards which teams/ clubs would be a good fit for my son. Julian’s dedication to soccer and fitness is commendable and I cannot express how grateful we are for all the work and time he has put in for my son.

I have been following PFP for a good while now. I just started working out with PFP, I’m working with Julian online with this special 3 month program I got the opportunity to join. One of the things that I like about working with Julian is that he establishes great communication and answers any and all of my questions and inquiries in such a timely manner. He is helping my achieve my, what feels like a life long goal right now and I couldn’t be happier.
I’m excited to seeing my new results and I will be sharing my progress and results more often as well as letting everyone know who they should reach out and work with. PFP is very good and I would not change a thing.

I have been training with PFP for a little under a year and I cannot say enough great things about the staff, workouts, facilities, etc. I came to Julian wanting help practicing my high school timed run. As I continued to practice with Julian, I was finally able to hit the times I wanted. For that reason, I would 100% recommend PFP to friends and family. Julian goes above and beyond for his clients. He is always willing to help and makes time for me. He also will routinely check-in and see how a soccer game or tournament went. The list could go on, but I would say Julian and the PFP staff could help you achieve your goals big or small. If you are thinking of working with PFP, I would say at times it will be tough, but just know the PFP staff has you best interest. Also I would say the PFP staff will ensure that you hit whatever goals you want, so be very open with them about your goals. I would highly recommend you start working with PFP.
Thanks,
Ella Schwartz

I have been training with PFP on off days and I’m the off season for almost a year or two now. Over that time I’ve seen a huge impact in my agility, fitness, and strength in all areas. One unexpected change is the increased range of movement I’ve grown to have on the field. I recommend and send all my friends and family to pfp for whatever hell they need weather that be physical therapy, fitness or strength training. Any athlete that’s thinking about joining, stop thinking and get to work already every day you wait is a day you wasted.

Julian is an absolute professional in all aspects. I came to him with specific goals in mind. He did an initial assessment to see where I was at and immediately got to work. He is extremely knowledgeable and caters your workout plan specifically to your needs and abilities. His group classes are challenging but enjoyable. You’ll never find yourself doing the same workout more than once.
If you’re concerned about any injuries or limits you might have Julian is able to work around them while still getting the most out of your workout. Julian stays in constant communication with his members on any class changes or adjustments and makes sure to post the class schedule weekly. He is easy to reach my phone or email with any questions or concerns. Julian is genuinely interested in your progress and health.
The gym is kept extremely clean and organized which is comforting in the midst of a pandemic. If you are concerned about working out here don’t be. Face masks are required and the equipment is sanitized plenty of times through out your workout. The group sessions are no more than 5 or 6 people to ensure proper social distancing.
Whether you’re looking to increase strength, endurance or just feel better about yourself and be fit, Julian is your man. He caters to all age groups

Coach Julian has taken an approach during COVID that is safe but also effective. Prepare For Performance has been a great way to continue to workout throughout the pandemic and I have seen muscle gains and weight loss throughout my time. If you are new to fitness, Julian can provide an oversight of every move and lift that we do each day, or he can help push and coach you if you are more of an experienced fitness person. I recommend Prepare For Performance to anyone that is looking for a program that is designed for you daily, uses actual weights, and is client centered.

Love prepare for performance with Julian! Starting off, he asked my goals and what I hoped to gain out of this program. After having a detailed discussion he made me my own personal program that was challenging yet do-able. I only went twice a week but every week was more challenging and I could feel myself getting stronger. Also my body began to show results after the first couple weeks. Julian was there every step of the way making sure I was doing the correct exercises and having the proper form. He is professional yet has a warming, funny personality. He not only helps with workouts, he makes sure you are staying healthy by providing insights on what you should and should not eat, as well as Other helpful tips on his Instagram page. I would definitely recommend Prepare for Performance! I will continue to keep going there and I encourage others to do the same! The facility is spacious and always kept clean and the staff is friendly and great, making sure you have the best workout experience.

Prepare for Performance has been a great experience for me. I participate in the Group Adult Training sessions. Julian is a great athlete, coach, and trainer. He knows his audience (I'm a 44 year young male :o) and tailors his 1 hour group exercises to be challenging and well-rounded to cover your core, flexibility, strength, and cardio. Julian is also focused on providing you the resources you need to feel your best (apps, meal tips, home/travel exercises, etc). His group class times are offered many times each day (M-Sat) which provides great options for men/women working 9-5 or flexible schedules. The group classes are motivating, keep you accountable and the classes are usually small (2-3 people), so you get the personal attention that you want from a coach. I would highly recommend PFP!

My son has been training with Julian for about six months now. He's a great trainer and very knowledgeable. He looks at the needs of each client and personalizes the workout to those needs. My son has gained strength and speed and his agility and stamina have improved in this short amount of time. Julian will train the client on the proper way to workout to prevent injury. He knows a lot of people in the soccer world and is a great source for networking. He helped my son find a new club after wanting to leave his old one. It's been a great switch for him. Julian listens to the clients' needs and is flexible with his time. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a trainer.
