This place was okay... Bowling was fun. The staff was nice. But the main reason I came (rollerskating) wasn't open until 8pm on Sunday. Also, there was no food. I didn't bother asking staff abt it because they didn't have a menu up and their fridges were empty. I'd still come back.

It's alright a little run down and parking is kinda tricky. It's in an okay part of the city but not the best or safest. The staff seem nice but at one point I was having an issue with the bowling lane and getting my balls to come back and the person working couldn't fix it and under their breath I heard them say "I got too much heart burn I shouldn't even be working"

I grew up at the shake and bake and went from 2000-2010 it’s nothing like it now, I bought my 6 year old daughter skating there for her birthday all the way from owingsmills with 7 other and more people on the way to pull up to an abandoned like building I though Was closed then get in after ordering the tickets online and was told we can’t skate because someone had rented the whole rink out. The manager had apologized and offered a free he of bowling, the only issue I had was it was a set time to receive the free he wich means we had to wait around. I had to call all my daughters party invites and tell them it’s canceled, and cold not make up for my daughters part be all my money was already used on tickets that I can use until next week that I doubt were going to used because nobody’s parents gonna support me with these type of games going on. The said they’ll just send her gifts to school. So now I’m just holding on tickets

I was worried at first due to the location of the facility. However, security was thorough. People mostly bring their own skates, but rental skates are available. Music is decent, and the place is a clean and affordable place for skating. Baltimore needs more social spaces like this one!

I love love the Bake but bring earplugs!! The music at adult skate is good but it's so LOUD and deafening 😅 my poor ears. It would be perfect if they could turn the music just like 20 decibels down

I’m so glad they have kept this place up as long as they have. I love the bowling playing pool rollerskating it’s such a great place the last time I went skating they just need to clean the floor but I spoke to someone that when they said they clean the floor, so I’m excited to go back!

Skating Floor still not clean. Guess they done know that it should be cleaned. And that the better the floor is taken care of the longer it will last.

And they wanted to charge me $50 to bring in my daughter cupcakes but had no food

This is not the shake and bake that I used to know!! I attended Shake & Bake's Soul Bowl event that they have on the first Saturday for every month (2 hours of bowling for $30 21 and over!! Talk about a deal!) and it was a truly great experience. There was great music and the staff were so amazing and helpful. The facilities have been seriously upgraded! My family had an absolute ball! This will definitely be a regular occurrence for me.

I hosted a birthday party here for my daughter last week and it was a good time. Our party had the skate rink to ourselves. Not sure if that is normal or we just got lucky, but it made for a great experience. We had little kids all the way up to adults and the new and experienced skaters alike had a good time. We did have to bring our own catered food and all, but the price I paid for the venue, skates for up to 20 guests, and the dj was reasonable. We also had to pay to rent walkers for the little skaters. The place was clean and staff was helpful and courteous. I would book this venue for a party again and we plan to go back and check out family skate night.

I originally started coming to this location when I was a child. Was a much different scene. Since the remodeling, I was still nervous to visit because of my past biased ideas of the location. But wonderfully to my surprise it is a nice establishment. I've been coming on Sundays mostly for "old people night," and I have fallen in love. The music and the energy of the people are amazing. I have met so many new people since coming. Will be here every sunday!

I love this place. The entrance/lobby can be a bit confusing at first, if the doors are closed hit the buzzer to be let in and turn right for the skate rink. There’ll be an admissions window where you can also pay for rental skates. Haven’t been bowling yet, but I’m guessing you turn left from the lobby for that.

Thursday and Sunday are the adult nights with different vibes.

Thursday they turn the main lights off and the disco balls on, age range can center around 40-50, music is slower/groovier, a small group will gather in the center to line dance.

Sunday the age range centers around 20-30 with faster music, dynamic skaters with effortless spins and transitions, I didn’t see a single pair of rented skates on the floor.

Wednesdays and Saturdays have the much younger crowds centered around middle school age who will inevitably play WHO CAN GO THE FASTEST, as kids do. Still found plenty of room to skate, and there were much younger toddlers practicing in the center as well. The attendants are often on the floor and are thoughtful to help out anyone who’s having trouble or working on a new skill.

Friday is much more chill, not very many people at all, maybe not even passing 15 people on the floor- which was perfect for practicing.

All in all this is a fantastic facility that has fun events like “Opera Night” where there’s live Opera singers in the lobby and admission to the skating rink is free.

Lockers are available for 2 quarters every time you want to lock them. There’s a cafeteria area off to the side where you can take a skate break and buy canned drinks I think, never purchased one myself but I’d eat my own snacks in there or chat for a break.

I recently went bowling at Shake and Bake with my work group. I really enjoyed myself and so did the rest of the group. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They were also helpful and made sure we were comfortable. One of the staff even volunteered to take a group picture of us when she saw that we needed help. I will definitely go back again!

Waited all day on a Friday for the only section available 7-10 all to be turned down at the door because of a private event. Only wanted to go to this location because they play better music. Website should have been updated i know this is a location where blacks people attend but some of us actually go based off of website for places that’s closed because of events. I didn’t get there till 7:30 to celebrate with a few friends and family for my daughter birthday. So now I’m back home because everything is not closing soon. Couldn’t go to any other ring because they close at 9. Thanks for ruining a 7 year olds birthday.

Besides being in a terrible crime ridden area, this was fun. I took my 6yr old with me. We had fun learning how to skate. The staff at the rink was very unprofessional and rude. We ended up leaving after a while and went downstairs to bowling area. Had a blast. My daughter beat me 61-78. Great place for some family fun!!!

I love going to Shake n Bake. Every Thursday night is Adult night and it's a great time to come out, relax and have fun. It's truly a family atmosphere, where you can come to learn how to skate, to just skate, and to meet friendly people. I prefer this location over other roller skating locations!
