Was a member here for several years- however from 2020 on more and more equipment was broken, damaged or sticky. Not worth it now the gym equipment has been moved into a smaller space.

Awful what happens to a place when the new management has no idea how to run a business. This went from a near 5 Star Gym Experience to a lesson in how to ruin a business overnight. Good thing Tom and Golds aren’t tied to this disaster.

Can someone please explain to me how this is "family" fitness yet no kids are allowed in locker rooms and showers?
I have never seen this type of discrimination against children in any other sports facilities: YMCA, lifetime, equinox, etc. You have family in your name yet management loses their cool on children in sight. Yeah, there are kids, who are part of your families and paying customers. Not so sorry they need to use a shower after being in the pool. And your three "family changing rooms" are not enough for 20+ kids taking swimming classes.

Read the contract you’re locked in for a year, and once a year you pay an extra $40 for “maintenance” while everything is so dirty and bad condition. Better gyms out there for much cheaper

Respectfully the gym is not great. The locker room always stinks, and is dirty. The equipment and machines all feel like they are crammed together now, no organization what so ever. All the equipment is either old, dirty and rusty, or missing. The equipment needs to be replaced, the new pickleball renovation was heartbreaking. Some of the equipment looks like it had been used by a dog for a chew toy. This gym has so much potential its time they upgraded the fitness machines and equipment.

It's the worst gym ever! Once they give up the Gold Gym name, this gym has gone downhill. I was a member for a long time. The gym equipment is old and not kept up with, and now Tom is no longer there, and his nephew is running the place, which is even worse. You can find a better gym to go to. Also, watch out for the maintenance fee! For what the equipment is never fixed.

I’ve been a loyal member of 24/7 Family Fitness for years, but I’m truly heartbroken and frustrated by the recent changes. This used to be a place where families and individuals could focus on their health and fitness, but that’s no longer the case. The owner has shifted all his time and money into catering to pickleball, leaving the long-time members who supported this gym with outdated machines and a filthy locker room.

The so-called men's & women's locker room “remodel” was a joke—only the floors were redone, and the steam room and sauna have been out of service for months. We couldn’t use them during the useless remodeling process, and now we’ve gone through the entire summer and are entering fall with still no repairs. The steam room and sauna were essential parts of the gym for many of us, and it's shameful that they’ve been neglected for so long.

It’s clear that the focus is now on profiting from pickleball rather than taking care of the day-one members who helped build this community. What a shame. This place is no longer about fitness or families; it’s about squeezing out money. I expected better after all these years, but sadly, I no longer feel valued here.

remodel is a huge disappointment. never gave new or existing clients a heads up on the changes like knocking down the basketball gym or taking a full size open space gym and cramming it into a small exercise room upstairs. started coming here in 2011 now i have to go and find a new gym to call home!

Unfortunately had to edit my review as the place decided to be sudden changes and cancel classes but not refunding money for people that paid in full as fast as canceling classes. Very unfortunate. However, WOW is down the street with plenty of classes and better management.

I'm quite disappointed that they removed the basketball court, as it was the most utilized feature of the gym facility. It was not only a great way to stay active but also brought a sense of community to the members. Its absence has left a noticeable gap in the overall appeal of the gym.

The reason I am giving this facility 5 stars is due to the fact that they are open 24 hours. It is extremely to run a business 24/7. This gives the Massachusetts a community to stay healthy 24/7. The basketball floors are not wood floors and can get slippery so 3 out of 5 for basketball court. I do believe they are in need of repairs but it is still suitable to play the sport. The machines work fine and they also have a boxing room.

Probably the best gym in Massachusetts to be honest. Between 4-7 is when the most people will be here. Has a basketball gym pool sonna core room pool and locker rooms. Seeing the same people everyday makes you want to improve and push yourself to the limits.

Perfect if you want a decent gym open 24/7. However it is a bit old and members have no re-racking etiquette. So you’re going to have to really search to get the right plates. Very heavy on machines. Also, no water fountains so bring water or fill up at the sinks. I still give it 5 stars because it really was an unbeatable price for the amenities.

If you are a non-nonsense lifter looking for a broad array of equipment, this place is ideal.

Now, I am not a member, but have occasionally visited the gym numerous times over, oh, maybe a decade. The review is given from an "outsider perspective."

While this gym offers (apparently) many different fitness offerings, I have always appreciated it for being a bit of an "old school weights gym."

I have been a competitor in both strength and bodybuilding competition for decades. I bring that experience to my assessment of any gym. My interests therefore, are not based on high degrees of customer service and amenities, but rather based on the basic ability to conduct a decently wide range of weights exercises. For those purposes, this gym scores well.

They have power racks and deadlift platforms and competent set-ups for powerlifting, Oly, and CrossFit-style training (rubber plates, boxes, etc.). Yet where they shine is weights, weights, weights. A wide range of machines from hyper-specified to "what I'd expect," and lots of HEAVY weight.

Honestly, this gym feels (in the best possible way) like an older school vibe. It makes you want to "get intense" and just work.

I have often said that you can tell a hard working gym based on the clutter. NOT being unorganized or sloppy, but rather just having lots and lots of "stuff" all over the place. This usually means a gym where people work, where there's lots of options, and the members are dedicated to the task at hand. This place feels that way.

Now, if you need a pristine locker room, well, you may be a little too fragile for this place. While things generally seem clean enough, there is a lot of wear and tear, older carpets, and you can tell it is not refreshed often. If these things interrupt your ability to train hard well, you won't appreciate it. If you're someone comfortable with giving up a little bit of tidiness in exchange for an aggressive gym mood, well, you won't be bothered in the slightest.

I am not a member, but here and there come down from Boston to train. This is one of the few 24-hour gyms left, and my schedule is sometimes off what city gym hours offer. I also like the no-pretense, nothing faux-fancy vibe. And I ALWAYS prefer to support mom-and-pop gyms, especially when hey are preserving that olds chill "weights palace" vibe, which they do here unapologetically.

I come. I train. I feel good. It would be easy to nitpick, but somewhat pointless to cast an overly-critical eye on what is a "get what you get" place of simplicity yet options. I am glad this place stays open. Worth the trip out of your way if you're just looking to train, need late hours, and don't get all flustered by working-class lifting spaces that aren't trying to be fake posh. This gym is just consistently being what they are: a place to train with a range of options, generous hours, and tons of space, especially for those with a "lifter's mentality" who are comfortable self-structuring and doing their own thing.

I called to book swimming lessons for my kids. A staff member said he would take my information and I will get a call back from the instructor Wyatt. It took almost a month of calling every other day before I lost my cool because I never got a call back. The worst part is that the manager was definitely not helpful AT ALL. When I explained that Wyatt never returned my calls, he didn’t care at all and didn’t apologize. He was also very unfriendly as well. I think it’s very odd that the manager doesn’t hold his staff accountable for their actions and I also think it’s odd for the swimming instructor Wyatt to not return calls. I had a couple of other moms who were going to have swimming lessons with Wyatt but after telling them my story, they helped me find another place for children swimming lessons that we all go to now and ALL of the staff there are extremely friendly and professional!

The staff here are super friendly and more than welcome to help you with any questions! Alex and Matt are awesome people to talk to Matt is definitely a knowledgeable trainer

I gave a 4 star out of 5 only because some of the Equipment here could be a little outdated some do need to be replaced.
I do wish we had equipment that were newer and a bit more modern to todays world. Otherwise it’s overall a great gym! Love it!

Gym membership is the best deal your going to get $15-$25 depending on the plan you choose!

After calling in and requesting to cancel my membership I am told that I have to be there in person or go through the hassle of sending them a certified mail requesting to cancel. The people at this Physical Theraphy are Top notch. They are very kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. This is my 2nd knee operation in four years the first procedure was botched which required a do over. I was referred to them by a close friend who also was treated there and she had nothing but good things to say about them also. They took there time with me and wanted to know about me and what previously went wrong they also searched out all of my Doctors notes so they could see for themselves what the problem areas were. I am eight weeks out from the Surgery and for the first time in years I feel Hope I feel like I am on the right track to recovery. Everyone who I have worked with there are true professionals. It starts with Kim the lead person as well as James and Nicole also they work well as a Team. They have been flexible with my schedule and the facility has everything right there. A Pool all the state of the arts equipment, a gym and a full boxing ring. OMG EVEN a Barber Shop lol they have thought about everything. I strongly recommend them if your looking for a Clean, well staffed and knowledgeable training facility. Especially if your looking for a Rehab / PT... Thank you all for all the help you have provided me. They make you feel like your part of the family. Thank you once again.

I've seen literally 3 people get hurt and need surgery because of the conditions of the basketball court. I know your wondering, if the court is so bad why play. It is because you do not notice how bad it is until you steps on certain place on the court. The gym smells and the bathrooms are gross. They do not fix anything or upgrade anything. This gym is basically a cash grab. The people behind the desk are great though.

This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. This place wrongfully charged me $20 for a clerical error which was their fault. For over 2 months I have been calling, emailing, and going into the gym to try and find the owner Tom who never seems to be available. Even the employees have no idea where he is and when he will be in. He apparently is the only one that can help me with this. Yes, it is just $20 but its the principal of the situation. This has gone on long enough for a gym that is over priced and dirty. Get it together 24/7. This is just sad.

By far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Many reviews here note the dirty facilities and broken machines, all of which are true. What really stuck out to me was the horrific owner Tom and his lack of basic human decency.

Last year for work I had to move and cancel my membership, but at the same time had my identity stolen and had to replace all my cards. I went to the gym in person and cleared my balance as well as paid a cancellation fee with my new card. I hadn’t had any communication with the gym and by all accounts though I’m all set.

Now fast forward to 3 weeks ago, about 7 months later, I got a collections letter from an agency via the gym. Apparently in their policy they also charge an extra month ($30) post-cancellation and they were trying to charge my old card and obviously couldn’t.
When I called several times over the last 3 weeks, every time I’m told I need to speak with Tom directly and they’ll have him call me when he’s in. Of course, he hasn’t called back and he probably doesn’t plan to.

Also, the collections letter was for $150 somehow even though I was only supposed to pay 1 additional month. Unfortunately, I think it’s probably easier and less of a headache to just pay this off than to have to deal with this owner. I’ve learned an expensive lesson to read the reviews before I sign my name on any contract. Stay away at all costs.

I just filed my complaint with the BBB and found out im far from the first. Check out the FOX 17 article on their scams. I've been driving 3-6 hours back and forth to get out of my membership because I moved out of state. I provided proof of moving, and was told theres was literally nothing for me to sign while I was there and that the receptionist had to wait for the owner to get back from vacation to see what to do. Bosses who leave with neglegent untrained employees are asking for law suits, and here we are. Now they are saying I have to take time off of work to drive over there again or they will charge me another entire year contract on top of refusing to let me out of the first contract. Again even though I moved states and hours away and provided proof.. The pool is advertised as salt water but is harsh chlorine. The shakes are disgusting. The equipment is outdated. No trainers in sight. No spotters. Over priced and under developed classes. They are thieves and scammers. Someone please file with the BBB on that pool alone because everyone's so angry about the contract scams but in still upset about the salt water pool scam Haha. But seriously go anywhere else. The owner Tom Martini is never available. I dont think I'll get to speak to the man until I have him served court papers.

This gym is awful stay away from it . I applied to be a member back in 2016 and at the time I was told that I needed to provide a 30 day cancellation notice. Throughout the years I didn't attend the gym very much but did notice the folks that attended when it was first known as Gold Gym started to leave the gym I didn't understand why. In 2018 I attended the gym more and started to notice how dirty the pol was and poorly maintained it remained. I also noticed the gym had tons of dust and never seem to be cleaned so often. I brought this to the attention of the staff there and it remained that way . The owners Tom is never at the facility and is very hard to come in reach with . In December of 2018 I notified staff that I would be canceling my membership and was told I was all set. I never heard anything until I changed my account and called to confirm . Upon calling to confirm I was told that Tom the owner needed to get the bank approval. I found this weird as I didn't understand what they had to do with this . He didn't want me to know he was the owner and through it on the bank to make the decision if I could make sure the payments was stopped for February 1,2019. Now at this time I would be due for a new enrollment fee and I would also be paying into the membership. Tom contacted me informed me that he didn't have any doc stating that I canceled. I informed him that I did inform the young staff that was present and he said he was going to fire the person and get back to me. I never heard from Tom until I received an email that stated I owed the gym . I contacted Tom and he acted as if he had no knowledge and went ahead and never canceled the membership so I was billed the service fee along with the monthly fee as well . When speaking to him he was upset and said he was loyal to who was loyal to him he reference. He said that he has no proof and therefore I was to be charged, I informed him that this was unfair and didn't see this coming at all . He then informed me that I was to billed for march as well although he knew I was canceling and still spoke to him in January regarding this . I received another email today of him stating I owed a balance and after 200 I would be sent to collection . This gym is a rip off and total upset that the locals are leaving for cleaner and better gyms within the area. His goal is to charge folks for service fee and etc so he can remain in profit . Don't come to this gym you will be doing yourself a disservice by attending and notice the uncleanliness of the facility.

The worst gym membership experience ever. The staff is extremely unwilling to help and refuse to give any reliable information about payments, account and cancellation. They tell you one thing, assuring that everything is ok with the payments and cancellation and right after they'll sent you the letter saying that due to the error in their system your payments didn't go through on time and thus they didn't cancel the membership which resulted in $200 post factum charges. Multiple attempts to call and resolve the issue don't help, they just continue to give incorrect info and saying "I can't help you with this, call back tomorrow".

Worst Gym owner in the world he lied about my contract saying I could cancel for 60 then said you cant cancel. It was my fault for not reading but you would think you wouldn't have to be so cautious about a gym contract. I will never go to this gym again. PS the equipment is ok at best!

This is a popular fitness center. Open 24 hours/day. It has typical fitness equipment and classes. It also has a pool. Decent monthly fee.

The worst gym in the area by far ! The equipment is old. The basketball court needs to be redone. The pool is disgusting and the protein shakes are horrible. All in all very unclean and nasty gym. La fitness is right down the road a much better choice. By the way don't post your review online because according to the owner he will cancel your membership for your freedom of speech.

The owner is very unprofessional. He doesn't care about the members of his establishment.
My card recently was compromised and they continued to charge me 10$ extra for the past 4 months. I brought this to the attention of the owner, trying to resolve it and he started to yell and get in my face over the 40$ extra charges that had accumulated. Also told me that if I posted online about or problem he would cancel my membership. Horrible customer service, very unprofessional and very childish. It is his job to correctly facilitate issues properly not cause more distress.

Was great for 2 years until an employee named Emily of 2 months was hired and had the worst attitude. Apparently if a black male asks about policies her response is filled with disgusting customer service and she will threaten that you are not allowed to come back as you were already walking through the door to leave even though you pay your membership every month. She will also continuously say she doesn't know why you're challenging her when you are just wondering about policies and tell you she feels threatened. I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service that Emily who works the front desk has displayed and as a result I'm strongly considering canceling my membership.

Had to cancel my membership after being a member for over 4 years because of an extremely rude and inconsiderate front desk person(I think he is the owner). Left with my daughter in tears. The facility needs an upgrade and so do their classes. Most of them are lead by retired amateurs. The pool is worn out and smells like mildew. All the extra cost classes are extremely overpriced for the quality you get (for example their TRX is $50 per class cash, the day I tried it we were jammed in a tiny room with a broken AC and very little to no personal attention or explanation of technique). When you are trying to work out in the women's only are and there is a class next door the noise is so loud that you can't hear your own headphones. With the variety of gyms and workout facilities nowadays look elsewhere for a more professional and positive experience. I'm glad I finally canceled.

Terrible staff communication. I finished my contract and requested my account be canceled, which I was assured would be taken care of. I haven't attended the gym since (over a year), and now they are trying to charge me hundreds of dollars saying my account was never canceled. Be warry of the paperwork, and make sure to ask for staff names for reference in case this happens to you too.

The most horrible experience I have ever had at a gym and I am a career athlete wrestling over 25 years and mixed martial arts for the last 5 years an employee of the gym screamed at me and called me a dipshit because I was kneeing the uppercut bag! When I curse back at him they kick me out the gym! Horrible gym I saw no sign that said I couldn't knee the uppercut bag! I had my children with me and was kicked out of the gym for cursing back at an employee who screamed curses at me horrible in addition I did not like how they treated the minority patrons they act like every black person that walk through the door was trying to steal gym time! Horrible experience!
Do NOT SPEND MONEY HERE! The equipment is old and dated the only perk to the gym is its 24 hours.
I'd give this place zero stars!

Poor customer service. Elusive owner. Unresponsive management. Disrespectful staff (not all but enough to make your experience suck). There's a cleaner, newer, more friendly gym around the corner. Only thing family about here are the related rude staff.

This gym is mediocre at best. The parking lot is complete sh** show, and I find it completely unacceptable that the owner thinks that it is ok. Lets take everyone's money and not plow to allow them to park at the gym. The gas meter is covered, which I will be reporting to the fire department as well. Learn to maintain the premises. The owner is extremely rude and has been for a while. I'm not sure if he is just miserable because everyone wants to terminate their memberships or what, but he needs to learn some people skills. The old gym on 138 was run 100 times better; he took on more than he could handle clearly.

Beware of their contract agreement. I had one year contract agreement for the whole family with this gym. The contract expired a few weeks ago and instead of having a staff contact me to renew the contract, they decided to continue to draw the monthly rate and pretended the expired contract is still in effect. I confronted this with the staff and got response as the contract state they do continue to draw payment even when the contract is up. Now, my question is what's the point for this time bounded contract agreement if they can execute the "keep silent" clause and draw money from my credit card indefinitely or until customer confrontation? I have been a member of a few gyms over the years and this is a first! To make matter worst. I decided to cancel the membership as the result of this confrontation and the staff responded as there needs to be 31 days in advance for contract cancellation. My initial response is what contract? The expired contract? The in effect "keep silent forever" until confrontation contract? Also, I asked for a physical list of billing inquiry they charged me for the duration of the contract, something any simple billing system can do. They were unable to produced that neither. Instead of trying to keep loyal customer or at least contract bound, they wanted those little extra money and dumped the big picture. How's that for a service oriented organization.

Updated: Now they are claiming I only cancelled myself out of the whole family membership. Charging me a different monthly price with no active contract and no agreement or any paper for the new monthly price. Again, STAY AWAY! you've been warned!!

The guy below me has no idea what he is talking about there are sales reps there at all times. I went to join at 9 pm and someone was there to help me out just fine. The customer service was amazing they actually talked to me like i was a person instead of being fake so they coule get into my wallet. The place is clean and i guess they just finished constuction on a rock climbing wall which is awesome. My kids love going to the new play room where the new rock climbing wall is. the equipment there is all new and not rusted like the other gyms in stoughton. They have a huge basketball court and an indoor track and a salt water pool what gym has a salt water pool these days. I love my membership there this was the best investment. The guy below me is obviously stupid and just likes to complain.
