I can confidently say that, without a doubt, Ryan elevated my life through the fitness program he crafted for me. Ryan is honest, realistic, and genuinely passionate about individualizing a routine for you, and he is truly results driven. I went from 155 working out on my own for two years without ever being able to gain any muscle to 192 within a year of working with Ryan. I’ve never felt better, and if I could give 6 stars, I would. I’ve been working with Ryan for the past few months, and it’s time for a Google Review! After a few years of working out (almost) exclusively in my home gym, I started working with Ryan to turn up the volume on my strength training.

Working with Ryan: as a credentialed fitness professional and business owner myself, I started working with Ryan because of his reputation as an effective, deeply competent trainer who gets good results. And it’s been working! I look forward to my workouts, get a good sweat.

Some specifics: he’s patient, encourages you to trust yourself and really tune into your own body. (I have no doubt he’s as great with complete beginners as those beginning again). His programming is solid and specific to your needs. It’s also easy to schedule with him, tech-friendly (love those google calendar invites!), human hospitality - text reminders come from the real person!

Let’s talk about the space: AnkFit in Newtonville is a pleasure to get hard work done in. Bright, open, good mirrors, a really strong collection of high quality weights, contraptions, mobility and flexibility tools, and the occasional welcome torture device (I’m looking at you PSO-Rite psoas/hip flexor release tool). The music coming out of the Sonos is great.

The place is *spotless* and deep cleaned and literally every thing has a proper place – I can’t underscore how pleasant that makes things.

Amenities: clean towels (I sweat!), multiple bathrooms and showers with good hair care products I sadly don’t have an excuse to use because I live down the street.) Good water for water bottles or a sip from the cold bubbler. Coffee. (Even while you work out.)

BONUS: any opportunity to hang out with Meghan, the VP of Snorts and Snarfles (Ryan's French Bulldog).

Ryan is amazing! After my car accident, I couldn’t do a lot I was afraid to go back to the gym and afraid that I couldn’t do what I love Ryan helped me get my confidence back and was there every step of the way showing me exercises that would help my pain, but also help me with my recovery. Ryan helped me gain my confidence back in so many ways and also taught me how to over come fear after being in something dramatizing like my accident. I still continue to learn more everyday from him and I’m happy I wasn’t afraid to get back up. I really recommend Ryan if you’re looking for someone that listens to you and helps you succeed not only in your weight loss goals, but helps you succeed in what you want. Thanks Ryan! The gym and working out can be so intimidating.
