The equipment is well maintained, and the staff is friendly and attentive. A few classes a week are included with the membership, but the membership is *insanely* expensive for what is offered. Arbitrarily raised my rate after one year, and then again after another year, even though they were still offering my initial rate to new members. Excellent location for those in the East Arlington area, but I cannot recommend.

Joined around 5 months ago and have had nothing but great experiences at Arlington H&F -- I'll admit I was skeptical after reading some bad reviews but then I took into consideration that a majority of those were from years and years ago and I'm glad I disregarded them and went to see for myself. All of the staff greets you with a smile every time you enter and everyone here is super nice. The gym has everything you can ask for to get a great workout (sure there's no sauna or pool, but it's a gym not a spa). Definitely a great environment and I've never had to wait for a machine or piece of equipment. Two thumbs up!

A little basic but has everything you need, people are friendly, it's never crowded and it's in a convenient location (at least for me)

Decent gym, but for the price ($45/month) it's not worth it. No pool, no sauna, old equipment. They make it very difficult to cancel your membership, can't cancel over the phone or online, have to show up IN PERSON to sign a form, which was a pain in the ass as we moved an hour away. Would not recommend

Affordable gym with 2 squat racks, 3 bench press benches, plenty of dumbbells and more barbells. A couple rows of ellipticals.

Arlington Health and Fitness is a no-frills gym with all the equipment you need and a few classes (yoga, spinning). If you're looking for the latest TRX or cross-fit workout - look elsewhere. But, if you want a friendly, neighborhood gym where you won't have to wait for equipment or weights - this is it!

The good: friendly staff, plenty of equipment and good parking. The bad: very old equipment and the urinal was broken but not marked "out of order" and a horrible smell was coming from it. All in all, a good place but plenty of room for improvement.

Scam. They'll keep charging you after your "contract" is over and will not honor any free month agreements/promotions.

This gym is a SCAM. Owner (David) advertises a cheaper member price online and then more than DOUBLES it when you go into gym to sign up. Was told on the phone the enrollment fee was $50, then tried to sign up in person only to discover he wanted $199! He would not honor what the website price was promoting ($10.99/month) despite it still being advertised on their current website. That is down right illegal and unethical. How does this gym expect to have loyal clients with shady business practices?

Equipment/interior of the gym itself is standard. Has all the weights, machines, and core classes a basic member would need. Filthy bathrooms. Unavailable staff and owner to answer questions or concerns. You're better off at a Planet Fitness or buying a workout video at home. Do not join.

I can't believe the reviews I'm reading on here right now! I just had the exact same experience: incompetent staff, owners not willing do do what is right, outrageous cancellation policy, etc... I signed a 1 year contract and unwritten in the contract is that memberships automatically renew after that 1 YEAR CONTRACT expires. I haven't been to this gym for 4 months and am still paying fees thanks to their rediculous cancellation policy. Stay away from this "family owned gym."

The gym is outdated and routinely unclean, there is a very limited selection of cardio equipment, and the bathrooms are in shambles. The most frustrating aspect of this gym, however, is the absolutely wretched customer service. I cancelled my account over 2 months ago and despite 2 follow-up phone calls to confirm my cancellation (which I made for fear that the completely incompetent staff would screw something up) my account is still being billed. I clearly should have paid more attention to the previous reviewers note on their supposed cancellation policy (which I now believe is a complete fraud). I would strongly encourage anyone interested in signing up to seriously consider the alternative nearby locations.

A poor choice. Owner failed to respond to serious complaint about inappropriate touching in a yoga class. Rude staff. I strongly advise against this gym.
