Not clean. Locker rooms and bathroom smell terrible. Cardio machines always out of order.

Old broken equipment. Often several machines are out of order. I was looking for a place to run in inclement weather but I have had a treadmill skip under my feet and donβt feel safe running there. Switched to elliptical. The incline didnβt work on 4 different machines I tried. The numbers on the display changed but the base didnβt budge. The girl at the desk was unaware. Most bases on these machines are rusty so no real surprise. I gave up. It is a large warehouse type room with lots of weight machines and free weights.
I may return when the winter comes as I did purchase a year membership and there are some things I could do. I have belonged to 4 gyms over the years and this is by far the worst. You get what you pay for

Where do I begin.... the child care is the ONLY reason to go. The cardio machines are old and a lot have rust on them. There are a good number of machines that are always down. There aren't a lot of mirrors or room to move around. They do offer a lot of different classes which I have not taken advantage of yet but I do plan on doing so. There is no other way to enter to enter but thought the front door up very narrow stairs.

I was bullied off a machine today, by trainer (RYAN), who told me "trainers get preference to use all machines over regular members" and I then over heard him talking about me to the girl behind the desk. I asked to speak to the Manager (Naomi) whom wasn't grasping the issue of Ryan (her employee) intimidating and being outwardly aggressive towards me, glaring at me and saying "go ahead keep talking" as I explained the situation to her. I guess Naomi couldn't resolve the issue herself so she provided me with the phone number for the corporate customer service rep out in CA (Tamara) who asked me "well how long were you on the machine for" "were there any witnesses, because it's your word against his" - - as if I did something to warrant the attack and should also have to defend it? completely inappropriate.
Ive been going to this gym for a long time. I understand gym etiquette. and I am respectful of people everywhere in every aspect of my life. I politely told Ryan I was using the machine. But He saw me as someone he could scare away. It was wrong. Now I am left to wonder - if I were a man would he have treated me the same way? snapping the rope off the pully system I was using, throwing it on the ground at my feet after I said "hey I'm still using that" would he have spoken to me in such an aggressive way? I seriously doubt it. He saw me as a woman that he was much larger than, that he felt he could bully anyway he pleased.
Some of my friends have said "ugh you should stop going there". But I have been a member of this gym for 10+ years - through many name, owner and management changes. I will not be a victim of the new employees. I want to be heard, I want someone from this company who gets that this incident was extremely wrong to contact me.... please tell me someone in the Blast corporation gets it.

I joined 2ish weeks ago it's the worst gym I have ever gone to, they are way overcrowded and today 6 treadmills were broken so I couldn't do my cardio and then I went to the weight section and you have to wait for machines to be free, i would rather pay more and have the machines work and not be over crowded the only benefit is baby sitting but my baby is too young so I can't comment on that part yet

I joined as a memeber here in early September when i first moved down to the cape. The first thing that popped out to me was that the person behind the desk greeted me with a smile even though he had never seen me before. That really made me feel welcome. I also noticed how much equipment there was and how nice the machines were. I then noticed that people from all different walks of life work out here and how genuinely nice they are. NO gym-timidation here whatsoever. Stephanie McGee is the General Manager here and I have nothing but great things to say about her. Shes amiable and fun but at the same time she is hardworking and she certainly knows her stuff.

I have been a member for three years. I love all the instructors here they are aweseome. I have made alot of friends over the last three years. I was so excited when Toni one of the instructors` put a team together last year to run the Spartan Race in November. It was awesome to go out there as a team and represent the gym. I have come a long since i joined I did a 5k run, tough mudder, and a spartan race all in one year. I look forward to doing more events as a team in the coming year.

The gym itself is overall fine. The way they do business is not okay, however. ABC financial handles all the membership stuff so that the gym itself can just not be liable for monetary issues. I signed up for a one year membership and then it auto renewed with no notice. I had to pay the $50 for a one year membership and didnβt get a refund because it wasnβt cancelled within 30 days of their agreement terms. Very disappointing.

I have been a member for around four years and have been welcomed by everyone in the gym from the moment I entered. I've met tons of great members and great staff over the years. The gym has everything I need for equipment in order to get a workout that I can feel more than satisfied with. I highly reccommend anyone atleast check the gym out - it is the first gym I've joined and I have not needed to go anywhere else.

One the cleanest and most friendly facility that I have stepped in. Great machines, awesome classes, the most polite staff. This place can be seen as a home away from home. You really get the bang for your buck here!

Lots of equipment and clean bathrooms make it a good gym for the money. Employees need to be more helpful to members who are not using equipment correctly, so they don't get hurt.

Blast Fitness is a great and cheap place to get a good workout! You will be encouraged by the people around you, and will never have a bad workout with the wide variety of weights and machines.

Total incompetence! Do not use them for training. They cannot meet their commitment to you and will not refund you money. They are impossible to find someone to talk to to resolve any problems. Steer clear of this gym!

It looks like 28 Blast fitness gyms were bought up in December of 2015 so my review is for the State of the staff and equipment now. Price for membership was given to me upfront not hidden, cardio equipment is always clean, and a lot of the times I'm there, there is someone cleaning them. I have not really used the weight side much, but it all looks new.

I don't know what everybody else is talking about. The staff was friendly and the area was clean for the most part. It's nice and cool on the inside and the area was plenty large for everyone (although I assume I went on off-hours). If you plan on taking a shower there afterwards, however, don't forget to bring your own soap and shampoo. Best of all, it's fairly cheap!

The gym has come a long way over the last year - cleaner, better management, less broken equipment, friendlier staff but it still needs to be cleaner. If they would simply clean it well daily - especially the locker rooms (showers have dirt rings in bottom and sides) - this place could move up a star

I mean, its not "filthy" like some people have stated, at least thats not what I experienced. I normally am at the Plymouth location, which has newer equipment and is a little bigger, but thats because Plymouth serves a larger population than Mashpee.
Theres enough there to work up a sweat. It would be nice if they had what I was used to with regards to equipment, but thats being a little picky I think.

This gym is SOOO dirty. Poorly mismanaged and the staff is rude. The equipment is always broken. It's not worth spending the $10 a month.

Great price, but one of the worst gyms Iv'e been to. Switch for sauna now replaced with pliers and light inside never works. Two matching rows of 8 TV, but only 3 channels come in if you can find a machine with working TV controls. Staff got tired of putting up out of order signs and now moved machines to back room. Staff tells us they complain to corporate all the time. We all need to let them know how we feel. The squicky wheel gets the greese.

I have been a member of wow for about three years and I find in very frustrating. The staff if friendly and the weight equipment is ok. However the condition of the facility is extreemly poor and the "TREAD MILLS" suck! Any week you go in their, at least 30 to 40% tread mills are off line. If you ask the staff when they will be repaired or replaced it is either i don't know or months.... I just wish they would keep the place clean and communicate with their members
