Love this place! My kiddo boxes here and everyone is always so welcoming no matter what day. She’s grown so much since starting last spring. Happy I found this gym.

This is my favorite gym I’ve ever been a member of! Colleen, the owner, has done an amazing job of creating a welcoming yet challenging workout environment in all of the classes. In particular, I love her Boxing HIIT classes because I burn an insane amount of calories every time but have so much fun learning the routines and talking to her throughout the class. I cannot say enough great things about this place— plus, the price is amazing for what you get. Come get an amazing workout and support a local small business (and their adorable resident Yorkie, Brinkley!)

I can't say enough good things about this place. Colleen immediately knew my name and made me feel welcome. She really takes the time to encourage you and shows her appreciation to each person. They have a great variety of classes and are by far the most welcoming gym I've ever been to, both in the staff and the students/clientele.
I've taken just about every class they offer, and the instructors are super knowledgeable and take the time to teach and encourage each person no matter the experience, and the HIIT workouts are a blast as well! If you're looking for a good mix of technical knowledge, hard workouts, and an absolutely amazing community, this is the place!
Big shout out to Brinkley as well!!

Very friendly and clean gym. Extremely fair pricing for a martial arts gym.
Shane is an amazing coach and finds a way to push you to your max while having a good time.
Great places to start striking combat sports.

I was back in Boston a few months ago visiting my girlfriend’s family and was looking for a place to box while I was there. Turns out Boston’s Boxer Club was literally right down the street from her mom’s place. I ended up going three times, and Colleen was incredibly warm, inviting, and hospitable.
The gym isn’t huge, but it has everything you need to get in a solid boxing workout. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely be there regularly. I’ve been to a lot of boxing gyms, and this one holds its own. If you’re in the Jamaica Plain/Boston area and looking for a great place to box, I highly recommend checking it out.

Every coach I’ve met at Boston Boxing Club has been great. I've taken high-intensity conditioning classes with Justin, Colleen, and David, and they've all been as advertised: *high* intensity. But the coaches meet every student where they are—they'll push you, but they won’t leave you behind.
I recently took a boxing technique class with David. I actually signed up by mistake, thinking it was another conditioning session, and found myself in a technique class with students of various levels—but all more experienced than me. When it became clear that I couldn’t quite keep up with the combinations he was calling out, he modified for me on the spot—starting me back at the basics and building from there. By the end of the hour, my form was demonstrably better, and I left just wanting to practice more.
Also, if you ever imbibed in the building during its previous life as The Drinking Fountain, it’s a trip to be sweating it out in that space.

I’ve been going to Boston boxer club for 2 months now, regularly attending 3-4 classes a week and have a few good things to say
-From day 2, Colleen had memorized my name and greeted me when I entered making me feel welcome.
- as a gay out of shape guy, I’ve often felt uncomfortable or out of place with previous gyms/ trainers however Justin at Boston Boxer club made me feel instantly comfortable, met me at my level and assured me that I always deserve to feel welcome and safe in his gym. He’s become my favorite instructor and I love classes with him with the kickboxing HITT/ MITTs classes
-Mike teaches strength and fitness and kickboxing hit and is a consistent and kind trainer who knows how to put together new and challenging circuit trainings. After 2 months with Mike I feel a lot stronger and confident in myself.
-This is the first gym I have been to that has dogs- and they make the workout better. Bronco is always down for a post work out pet
-this gym is has classes that range from kids, teens and adults which gives it such a family feel and sense of community. I already am running into people from the gym within JP

This place is a joke!! I walked in one day to inquire about the place and there was not one person in site. It was completely empty not only was there nobody working out but there was no staff member available to greet me it was very unsettling. Everything happens for a reason cause I joined Ally’s Boxing Club on Washington St. which is not as close to my house as this location but Ally’s was exactly what I was looking for and I’ve been hooked ever since. Two thumbs down for Boston Boxing!!

I loved this class! I'm coming back from a broken ankle, and Justin modified any exercise during class to both protect the injury but also help my stability and strength improve. I was excited to see all sorts of people, bodies, and experience in class. It was a hard workout but I never felt overwhelmed or like I couldn't do it. Justin's passion for the neighborhood and his neighbors is clear too. Looking forward to being a regular.

If you want to go beyond a cardio workout to learn solid fighting technique in JP, this is the gym for you.
As a teacher, I can say that Coach Justin is an excellent instructor. He knows how to quickly read a room and tailor his approach to each individual student, based on their experience and skill level. Beginners get a firm grounding in the fundamentals; longtime fighters get the push they need to keep growing; and everyone feels supported, motivated, and cared for.
Go to become a powerful fighter. Stay for the warmth, community, and adorable dogs.

I drove past this gym for a couple of weeks, constantly slowing down and peeking into the windows, until I finally got the courage and decided to check it out! I have no regrets walking in that door. Even before walking in, I was greeted with big smiles and great energy! All the staff are very friendly and energetic no matter the time of day! The patience they have with beginners is also something that I commend them on!
David’s 5:00 a.m. Boxing Cardio and Bags class has taught me to love the mornings and to become more disciplined with getting into shape! There are so many classes you can join; however, from the conditioning, hard work, new techniques, and a good time, if you need a gym - this is the right one for you!

Amazing Workout Class with Incredible Staff!
Class: Strength and Conditioning with Coach Mike
I can’t say enough great things about this workout class! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is beyond friendly, making everyone feel comfortable and motivated no matter their fitness level.
The class itself was both challenging and fun, with a perfect balance of cardio and strength training. The instructor was energetic, knowledgeable, and took the time to ensure everyone had proper form while keeping the energy high. I left feeling stronger, more energized, and excited to come back for more!
What truly sets this place apart is the staff—they genuinely care about their members and go the extra mile to provide encouragement and support. If you’re looking for a workout that pushes you while feeling like part of a supportive community, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

This is the most value for money you get. Unlimited classes for 100$?? Others charge like 150 for 10 classes. The front desk is amazing. Justin, my coach is a very good man and knows what he is doing. They are gonna open up a smoothie place right next to it. I switched my Planet Fitness membership which is right infront of it to this one. There is a HIIT class at 9 AM which focuses on cardio and a technique class at 7 PM. Two amazing super friendly dogs you can pet anytime. Would recommend 100% to all of my friends.

Such a memorable experience!! From the wonderful smile of the lady at the desk , to the warmth of the members who were there. I felt a strong sense of community being here! For my first doing boxing using my class pass credits , I left feeling proud and confident all thanks to the other members who cheered each other as well as DAVID who was an EXCELLENT COACH. David was encouraging , patient , supportive and had a wonderful sense of humor making everyone feel good about themselves and comfortable ! If you’re interested in joining a boxing community - David is your guy!

I have been excited for this gym to open and finally was able to get my first work out in this week. Happy to report that it was a great experience. The trainer I worked with was very knowledgeable and made sure that I got a good workout while also teaching me proper Muay Thai skills. It seems like it will be a good place for both beginners and people with advanced Muay Thai skills. The owners are super friendly and welcoming too!
