Great teacher, the class is challenging but you can adapt to your level. Cardio focused with an option to run, walk, or bike for a few minutes at a time. Intervals with strength training in between. Great full body workout to train your aerobic capacity

Do you hate working out and have absolutely no motivation to ever do it on your own, despite knowing you really should? Then join Cardio High! They only host classes led by a trainer so you can just come, turn off your brain, go hard for an hour, and leave feeling proud that you are improving your health and getting into the best shape of your life.
The classes only allow a maximum of 8 clients so everyone receives lots of personal attention from the trainer. Each trainer is very knowledgeable and will make sure you have good form handling the dumbbells during strength training. You can wear a Polar heart rate monitor and keep an eye on the big TV mounted on the wall that shows everyone's heart rates and calories burned. Pushing yourself to get as much yellow and red zone as you can will build endurance and burn more calories.
If you have an injury, come to one of Mark's classes where he will guide you through physical therapy exercises that can strengthen shoulders, knees, elbows, etc.

I am not a gym person, but Cardio High is the one gym I've consistently attended over the past 5 yrs. The owner is very knowledgeable about injury prevention and he modifies workouts for anyone nursing an injury. I've used it for cross-training when I was training for a half-marathon and the difference in my cardio strength was amazing! The instructors are equally as knowledgeable and it's a fun, non-judgmental atmosphere. It's a fantastic workout for anyone looking to build strength, increase their cardio performance, or just stay in shape. Love it here!

Awesome high intensity workout that offers a good balance btw strength training and cardio. The low impact aspect (bands, TRX straps and the unique treadmills) works without detracting from the intensity, as the included heart rate monitor shows you whether you are pushing hard enough. I regularly burn 600-700 calories in an hour. Their treadmills are the best I have ever run on - the motor-less curved design allows you to run full-tilt without any fear of being thrown off. Great coaches and trainers who each have their own style but all are good. Perfect workout for high school athletes to build their fitness both during the season and in the off season - I bring my 14 year old daughter who plays squash and runs cross country. Added bonus is that the folks who do it are nice, so there's a solid community feel. Also, they have showers and towels if you need to go directly before or after work. I am in the best shape of my life thanks to Cardio High.

Highly recommend CH -- great workout including proper stretching and warm-up to avoid injuries, perfect mix of cardio conditioning and floor exercises mixing dynamic movement, balance and light weight training. Great instructors coaching your best effort (and spinning some pretty good tunes). Small class sizes of adults creates a very collegial community.

I started Cardio High a little over 3 months ago and dropped 20+ pounds. - It really works.
The instructors are all positive, knowledgeable and not overenthusiastic. I appreciate the individual attention I have received, with advice (and special exercises) on sports injuries and how to reach my goals. Its an adult workout space - I could not recommend it more.

My review will be centered around 3 main areas:
1 - The location
2 - The training
3 - The Trainers
1 - Location: This is welcoming clean studio, small enough to feel getting a personalized training, but big enough to work out.
2 - Training: it is by far the hardest and most challenging training I've had in a very long time, and I have trained extensively competitively. It is an amazing workout, no flashy outfits or super sophisticated equipment, but all the necessary to ensure all your muscles (even those you ignored you have), are working out. The icing on the cake is that you do not end up sore, limping the next day
2 - Trainers: At the image of the studio and the training, the trainers are excellent, humble (even if they are really good), providing explanations about all exercises and what muscles are working, very convivial atmosphere.
Definitely a great place for training

I started going to Cardio High three months ago, and I love it. Within a couple of weeks, I could already notice a difference in my body and so could my family/friends. The workout goes by really quickly because you are doing a new block every four minutes, or sometimes every two minutes, and then also within each block there is a lot of variety. Sometimes the exercise changes every 20 seconds, sometimes every 45 seconds, etc. This keeps things interesting and it makes it do-able to keep going without dying on one particular exercise, but by the end you have an amazing all-body work-out. The trainers are all fantastic; they know each client and tailor exercises if you need any modifications. They each have their own style, so you can get some variety throughout the week, but they all make sure that everyone has proper form. Also, I like the mix of people - everyone from college athletes to empty nesters. It is such a welcoming community, which gives even more motivation to keep at it. Finally, I love that the classes are small and that you are welcome to go inside early to stretch or stay after to stretch.

I started at Cardio High about a year and a half after having my twins, and have really enjoyed the workouts and getting back into the gym. The classes allow you to go at your own pace, yet the High Intensity Interval Training helps you stay on track and pushes you to reach your personal goals. Between the Cardio and strength training, I finish every workout feeling accomplished.

I've only been exercising for a year and found Cardio High about 6 months ago. I noticed a difference after just a few weeks. I've lost weight, gained muscle mass, and improved my cardio health. The trainers are great - knowledgeable, motivating, supportive, and always willing to modify the workouts to meet the needs of their clients. I especially appreciate the strength-building exercises since I'd never walk into a gym and pick up weights on my own. I always leave feeling like I've worked hard and had fun! I highly recommend a visit for anyone looking to start exercising or to change up their routine.

I have been a regular at Cardio High for the last 14 months. What began as a βbreakβ from running (due to injury) has become a permanent addition to my program. This is a very solid workout with the right blend of cardio and strength, but there really is so much more...
While HIIT has been around for a while, it is the fluid workouts and supportive instructors (who guide you as needed and truly accommodate everyone) that create an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere (all while working hard β make no mistake about that!).

CardioHigh offers great all round workouts at a reasonable price. The workouts are low impact, great for those with joint problems, and include cardio + resistance/weight training. The atmosphere is also great -- everyone feels welcome whether you are already a seasoned HIIT exerciser or just getting into HIIT training for the first time. CardioHIgh provides heart monitors which are really motivating. There is never any pressure to purchase more classes and there is no financial commitment -- you pay as you go (multi -pack classes also offered at a discount), a welcome change from most gyms/fitness centers. Sign up for classes is easy.

Mark and the others do a great job getting my heart rate up while the low intensity prevents injury. The warm up before , and the cool down after lets allow me to get ready for a great workout. No pressure. I'd recommend Cardio High to everyone.

Cardio High offers a great workout with a personal touch. Mark Goodman and the other trainers do a great job of making sure everyone is able to do the exercises in a way that works well for them while still targeting the same high intensity cardio. I love that there's so much variety; it keeps it from every getting boring.

Initially when a friend invited me to Cardio High I was intimidated. She caught me one afternoon, last minute and I gave in and met her at the studio. I have been hooked ever since! I started classes in January and, in conjunction with Weight Watchers, have lost 22 pounds. The workout is great for anyone, beginners, seasoned runners, etc because you work at your own pace and can continue to challenge yourself by increasing weight or speed. An hour may sound daunting if you are just getting back into working out, but the mix of strength and cardio keep it moving along. Great workout for your whole body!

I cannot say enough about Cardio High. The workout is truly like nothing else I have ever done. It is challenging, dynamic, and fun. The staff knows many of the clients and have a wonderful commitment to the community. They always find ways to make your workout more fun, more safe, and more perfect for YOU. And, they are focused on keeping clients injury-free.

I can't say enough good about the place, the program, Mark and Derric as well as Kelly. The workouts are great, and the trainers are committed, motivated and able to tailor exercises seamlessly to make sure each person is working toward their body's potential without exacerbating current aches and pains or creating new injuries. Because of the smaller class sizes, it has also become a great community! It is like the Cheers of Auburndale (a healthier version of course)!

I highly recommend Cardio High. I have tried all sorts of ways to work out from gyms to videos to running but I always eventually get board and lazy. The small group classes here are motivating, fun and convenient (class times, parking, no equipment needed...) and the trainers make a real effort to keep changing things up from exercises, to format, to special competitions, to tailoring to individual ability (easy to challenging). I have been going for almost a year now, 3 days a week (usually), and I am not looking for anywhere else.

I've taken many classes at various gyms/studios over the years and Cardio High is top notch for a variety of reasons:
1) Classes are offered frequently, including some 7:45 am classes that fit perfectly with my schedule (I have yet to see any area gym with classes at this time of day!). You can sign up ahead of time to secure your slot or often it's possible to drop in and snag a last-minute spot.
2) Parking, check-in, and equipment availability are so easy...after your first class you can show up moments before a class begins, enabling you to work out with maximum efficiency. I am in and out of a full body workout in 1 hour flat, from warmup to cool down--priceless.
3) The trainers are friendly, knowledgeable, and motivational. You can talk to them before, during and after class about your personal goals. They want you to succeed and the whole program feels very personalized because of the small class size and camaraderie that develops between the participants.
4) The workouts are accessible to all fitness levels and degrees of intensity. Movements can be modified or intensified according to the individual. The pace is swift and varied--you are led through a comprehensive full-body workout and you don't have to think too much or motivate yourself to do parts of a workout that you would avoid entirely if left to your own devices.
5) I have not worked out with heart rate monitors before and I have found them to be a valuable tool in customizing my workout program and charting my progress over time. Even when I work out without a heart monitor when I'm away from Cardio High, I now have an innate sense of my intensity/ability level which is helpful for my other workouts.
Great place! Check it out!

I tried Cardio High when it opened in the winter of 2015, and it's been part of my exercise routine ever since. The reasons I like it are: 1) I don't have to make any decisions. I show up, follow their program, and leave an hour later with a cardio buzz. 2) I am not sore the next day. The workouts are intense, but the warm-up, low-impact exercises, and post-workout stretches help prevent injuries and soreness. 3) The heart monitors are motivating and provide real-time feedback. 4) The studio is clean and well-run, and the clients and trainers are friendly. Try it! (But don't book up my favorite time slots.)

As part of the (gulp) 55+ crowd, I felt my fittest days were behind me. Despite taking exercise classes, running, and spinning, I was positive my fitness had plateaued and Iβd just have to learn to accept my middle-aged self. Cardio High has changed all that. Two months ago I started taking classes at Cardio High and Iβve already attained a new level of fitness and health. This studio offers a workout that I didnβt think was possibleβclasses that are challenging but doable, burning tons of calories, and that are actually fun. Throughout the hour the instructor guides the class through a mix of strength and cardio exercises, each lasting a maximum of 45 seconds. None of the exercises are repeated, removing the boredom factor I often find in other classes. Individually fitted heart-rate monitors even provide real-time feedback to help gauge workouts. Honestly, there is nothing not to love about this place: the classes are about 1/3rd the price of other small group classes; the studio is clean; and the instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. My only complaint? I didnβt start going here sooner!

A few years ago I would have considered myself a sporadic fitness enthusiast. At Cardio High the cardio and strength training are built in to one hour in a fun doable format. I now attend regularly (twice a week). Special note about Mark and team they have a keen interest to keep us pain and injury free. I've never see this type of attention in any other fitness program.

Cardio High has changed my whole attitude towards fitness and gym membership. Instead of dreading exercise classes and dragging myself to an anonymous gym, I'm excited about each class and feel a real sense of accomplishment and pride when I'm done. Cardio High has also helped me strengthens my core which helps me with my lower back issues. The instruction is fantastic -- programs can be tailored for me to meet my specific needs, and there is always someone there making sure my form is correct so I don't risk injuring myself.

Great new gym. I like the small group class format. I've probably done 10 workouts at this point and all have been really good. They make you work up a sweat, and the routines change a lot so you never get bored and feel like you're getting an full body workout. Just generally a healthy, friendly, non-judgmental environment. I highly recommend it.
