Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with any dance center wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Treated my daughter horribly, laughed and giggled with co workers at the fact that my two year old couldn’t comprehend at what she was being asked to do. I took my daughter immediately out of the the class as she was crying. Touched and grabbed my daughter multiple times by her arms and hands to sit down when needed. Teaching discipline is one thing and continuing to forcibly make a child follow a command is another.

The owner did not have the decency to refund us the same day will not answer our voicemail or calls. Inappropriate young teachers who do not qualify to teach little children especially toddlers.

I just had my sons Nerf birthday party there. It was such an amazing time! It was his first class party and I wanted a venue where parents who chose to stay would be able to sit and relax while the kids had fun. CPAM was the perfect place for that! Their HUGE lobby had lots of seating options and a nice toy area for the little kiddos who weren’t interested in the Nerf part. I’m that same area I was also able setup a long table for pizza, cake, presents, AND a fun piñata! The studio space for the Nerf Blasters was AMAZING! It was spacious, the kids had plenty of space to run around, and I could even play music. I would HIGHLY recommend this place! My son is still talking about what a great time he had.

We were thrilled to find a place where both of our children could take classes despite their different interests in performing arts! Our oldest takes voice and acting classes and participates in theater productions, while our younger child dances. Over the years, as we saw the talent developed by kids in the program, our daughters were inspired to deepen their studies. Our girls’ love and appreciation for performing arts has grown and blossomed here! It’s a lot of goodness under one roof, with great instruction, amazing performances, and reasonable prices!

I apologize for our tardiness (+ much more) on Aug 22. I know i was advised to not worry about it, but i at the very least I wanted to thank you + the CPAM team for taking care of Jace that day. Without skipping a beat, Mr Morrobel jumped up + stopped the show as soon as he was notified that Jace was on the premises. The team switched the show, so that Jace could quickly get ready + perform. And THEN, it was the best 42 seconds! That would not have been possible had you + your team not acted swiftly + kindly. I can’t say enough great things about this studio. We came to CPAM two and a half years ago when my daughter was 2 1/2 and was welcomed by everyone. Norah has grown so much, not only as a dancer but as a person and we owe that to the many talented dance teachers, other dancers and their families. Norah has built friendships that will last a lifetime. We are so happy that we chose this studio.

My son had a great experience at CPAM for the 5day acting camp this summer ! When I would pick him up he would tell me how much fun he had and how nice everyone was and the fun things they did. This is the first time my son did anything like this and I was so impressed he remembered all his lines/songs and did a great job! My son now feels more confident and proud of himself for trying new things and can’t wait to continue acting classes this fall with CPAM

My daughter has been at Center for the Performing Arts Dance and Acting school since she was three years old! She absolutely loves everything about this studio as do my husband and I. She started out as a little ballerina and now she is on the level 5 competition dance team. Seeing her grow every single year brings a smile to our faces and tears to our eyes. She had never acted before and decided just this year she was going to try out for the studio production of Twisted, a journey through Oz. The poise, confidence, and elegance the students gain from the wonderful instructors is unmatched. CPAM is a family.

Our 3 kids have been at the Center for Performing Arts for more than 5 years taking ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, theatre and more. We could not be happier to be part of the CPAM family. The kids have opportunities to join the competition teams, perform special routines like solos and duets, perform for the American Academy of Ballet, dance with special guest teachers, try out for Joffrey Ballet School, join theatre performances, and more. Theatre performances are twice per year and performed at the theatre in-house. Summer camps include all of the above including mini-theatre performances. Training with Michelle, the kids become well-rounded dancers, and their skills clearly progress year after year. Highly recommended!

My 9 year old daughter Aisling (AJ) started dancing at CPAM when she was 2.5 years old. My 4 year old daughter, Lily, started the same age as her sister. The teachers are amazing, dedicated and encourage and elevated their students confidence. We come to think of the teachers and students as part of our family. Both girls are on the dance team and absolutely love it! Because of AJ's extensive training through master summer camps, competitions, and recitals, she got accepted into the Joffery ballet summer camp this summer. This is my first year at CPAM and I love it. I am a senior who takes Ballet for adults. My teacher is Michelle and she is so gracious to her class. She always encourages and smiles and stops to answer any questions. She, herself is such a beautiful, graceful dancer. I love watching her demonstrate the steps. Her daughter takes the same class and I am so impressed by the love and respect they have for each other as family and as dancers. I also notice that the children who are taking other classes in other studios look so happy and comfortable. They have plenty of space to run around and play while they wait for their ride home. there is joy in the whole space. The other teachers that I have met are just as sweet and joyful. My class mates have taken dance there for years so I know my impressions are correct. I hope anyone reading this will stop in and see for themselves!

My 16 year old has been a dancer at the Center for Performing Arts Methuen since she was 3 years old, dancing competitively for the past 5 years. They offer dance, theatre, voice and acro for ages 2 and up. There are even several classes for adults. Monthly rates and costume fees are reasonably priced. Costumes and dances are always age appropriate.

I cannot say enough about the amazing instruction, support and encouragement of Michelle and her staff! She fosters an environment focused on personal growth and achievement.

She has always been diligent about cleanliness and there is currently a mask requirement at the studio to keep all students, teachers and families safe, which I love.

I would not recommend this facility at all. I had a birthday party here. Although I was happy with the amount of space for the party, that was where the good ended. I was told staff members would lead the girls in different games/activities, that they would have a mini dance lesson and that each child would leave with a certificate for a free dance class. What actually happened: one staff member was there doing what appeared to be organizing her back room, she did one dance with girls but she stood in a corner with her phone in her hand and didn't lead them in any way. The music came from her laptop and was riddled with commercials, she brought out a stick for limbo, but didn't say a word throughout and I had to tell the girls it was limbo time. When I told her I thought she was going to participate and have the girls participate in more things I was told "This is a hip hop party right, and they're hip hopping" There was no assistance provided in serving the food/drinks. Lastly, we never received our certificates for the free dance class. I had several people wanting to book this facility until they saw what happened to me.

I can't say enough about how wonderful the shower turned out at CPAM. I would have never thought a dance studio would be such a perfect place for a baby shower!!!!!!! We had approx. 60 people that attended. The kids were having a blast in the side room with the music where they could sing, dance, kick balls, hoola-hoop, and so much more, all the while in eye shot of parents if needed. There is a kitchen available where there is a fridge, sink, and stove (which we did not need to use). Also the kitchen has a counter to serve food from. The serving counter can be closed off for privacy. The big windows and the wall to wall mirror made the space feel even more open than it already is. Everyone was smiling and able to move around with ease.
In addition, the dance and acting school is located in the historic section of town, in the building that housed The Masonic Temple. The setting is fantastic!!!! The clock tower in the center of town is straight across the street and adds to the beautiful view out the large windows. As you walk through the back door you are welcomed with a long hallway and a old fireplace mantle made of amazing old wood (I wouldn't be surprised if this was the original mantle of a past working fireplace: so awesome:). I can't thank Michelle enough for suggesting the Center For Performing Arts Dance Studio & Acting School of Methuen MA for the location of Chanele's and Joe's baby shower. We are truly blessed. This is my daughter's 5th year at CPAM in Methuen MA. She started there when she was 3. My daughter couldn't be any happier there and as a parent I am so proud of how much she has learned over the years. The staff and instructors at CPAM are wonderful. They are experienced and proficient at what they do and are completely devoted to providing a top notch experience to their students. I plan on having my daughter continue her dance lessons at CPAM for many years to come and highly recommend the studio to anyone interested in high quality dance lessons.

This is my daughter's first year she is 13yrs old. My daughter loves it, she will be dancing again come fall and has chosen to do ballet also. I find the prices very reasonable and the staff is great. I would recommend for everyone to attend this dance studio.
