Fitness and Fuel is a personal training gym that provides a holistic approach to health and fitness by focusing on two of the pillars of good health: exercise and nutrition.
We provide training, food education, and healthy prepared food options to allow you to achieve the best possible results. When you first come in, we will find out what style of training is best for you, perform an assessment, and set you on the path to results. After that we will support your efforts with inspiration, fitness challenges, food education, and healthy tasty food!
Our programs are designed to help you achieve your fitness goals, while educating you on the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. We also provide mobility and injury prevention modalities

I joined Fitness and Fuel a few months ago and couldn't be more pleased. I had no idea what to expect since I had never joined a gym like this before, but any expectations I had were exceeded. Before joining Fitness and Fuel, I often felt intimidated by strength training. The myriad of gym equipments seemed overwhelming, and I lacked the confidence and knowledge to explore workout routines on my own. So I decided to try out for a small group training at F&F, hoping to take my own fitness more seriously, see real results, and to have a program tailored to my goals of losing weight and feeling more fit and happier with my body.
Almost a year later, I can safely say this place has transformed how I see fitness. The program was thoughtfully structured—gradually building in complexity and challenge—so I grew stronger each week without ever feeling rushed or discouraged. More importantly, I’ve learned to see working out not as a chore, but as a time to relax, decompress, and a way to process my emotions as I was going through grad school and relationship problems.
My favorite part about the gym are the wonderful trainer team. They are incredibly kind, patient, and non-judgmental (and fun to chat with!). They not only taught me proper form and technique, but also gave me practical nutrition advice and answered every fitness question I had. Through some tough times in my personal life, this gym became a safe and welcoming space where I could push myself in a healthy way, surrounded by other hardworking and supportive people where I felt truly motivated to become more resilient and comfortable in my skin.
While I’ve recently “graduated” to continue my workouts independently, I’ll always be grateful for what I gained here—not just strength, but confidence, consistency, and a genuine love for training. I highly recommend Fitness and Fuel to anyone looking for guidance, encouragement, and a community that will inspire you to become the best version of yourself. Big love <33

Awesome experience at Fitness and Fuel. Mack and Jack were both incredibly friendly and down to earth. No ego, just solid guys who genuinely want to help. I’ve been lifting for a while, and they still gave me some great pointers that improved my form and efficiency right away. It’s rare to find trainers who can work with experienced lifters without being pushy or assuming you know nothing.
The vibe in the gym is super welcoming, and you can tell they’ve built a community of people who are serious but supportive. The staff even reach out via email afterwards to check-in and see how you are feeling, which shows the level of commitment and service they offer.
Definitely recommend checking it out whether you’re just starting out or have been training for a while!

When I first came to Fitness and Fuel, I was skeptical as I always am when investing in something like personal training. When I have had personal training before, I’ve often found it expensive, I haven’t seen the results I was hoping for.
The Fitness and Fuel experience couldn’t be more different (in a good way) from the above. Working out at Fitness and Fuel has been life changing for me in a good way.
First, Jack is incredibly thorough and skilled. The first session with Jack is an interview and fitness assessment that covers all areas of your fitness (and related) history; I was amazed at the level of thoroughness. He is a physical therapist as well as a trainer, and so he is extremely attuned to past injuries and injury prevention.
Second, I really appreciate how Jack and his amazing team help to individualize your program, and tailor your workout to your goals. Jack has helped me both with my workouts at the gym but also for programming workouts in between, and tailors the "in between" workouts to the fitness equipment available to me at home. Also, with respect to goals, I wanted to increase general fitness and become stronger. I have always played sports and done individual fitness (strength, running, cycling, swimming, etc), but since starting to work out at FF I am the fittest I have ever been.
Third, Jack and his team do a great job tailoring the workouts and the gym at large to a diverse audience. Each class has an array of prior weight training experience, men and women, and a wide range of ages including people as old as their 70s-80s. The environment is incredibly inclusive, welcoming, and fun, and there is great camaraderie among those training despite having different experience, goals, and programs.
Overall, training at FF has been incredibly positive for me and I recommend it to anyone who is considering it.

Fitness & Fuel (F&F) offers elements to my health and lifestyle that I cannot provide on my own: tailored and dynamic workout plans, encouragement and accountability. Above all, they have transformed my fitness journey into a joyful and community-oriented experience. This was a monumental shift from my previous approach of trying to "coach" myself into going to the gym, on a run/ride or to a one-size-fits-all class. My only regret is that I did not find F & F sooner!
The tailored aspect of the plans is one of the highest value-adds for me. Without a background in training and fitness, all I had before joining F&F were my preferences and (often incorrect!) beliefs about what I needed from a fitness POV and how to achieve it. F&F trainers bring expertise, experience, encouragement and the 1:1 attention needed to tailor and adapt dynamic fitness plans. These plans have helped me to grow stronger, faster and move better without being overwhelming. The progress I have achieved, even in the face of persistent injury, has been amazing, and far exceeded my expectations of the progress I could make. I also did not expect to look forward to sessions as much as I do (which turns out to be one of the magic ingredients in their approach!).
F&F trainers support each client's progress towards their individualized goals (which you can define yourself!) and provide support that keep you accountable and on track with these without being overwhelming. The trainers tailor personalized plans to make sure that each session makes impact for you in the short and long term. They help you visualize the growth you are making and adjust as needed (and in the moment) to meet you where you are when you come on a particular day.
This review is not only a hearty endorsement of F&F, specifically, but it is a review of individualized fitness generally. If you are looking to invest in your health or meet fitness goals, Fitness & Fuel offers one of the best options in the Boston area!

After doing the exact same workout for over 10 years, I knew it was time for a change. Fitness and Fuel - and especially Jack Losey - came highly recommended from a friend. I started 1.5 years ago and haven't looked back. I have a regular day/time that I work out at their gym and they give me a home workout that I can do in my complex's gym on an alternate day. Both workouts change every 4 weeks. I never would have thought that 2 solid, well-thought out, workouts per week could be so impactful. In addition, I have continued hiking, biking and Peloton, so I'm usually doing something at least 5 days per week. My strength and flexibility have both improved and my stamina for aerobic exercise has greatly increased as well. As a 66 year-old male, I'm very pleased with the results.

Even though I don’t think of myself as a gym person, I always leave Finess and Fuel feeling positive and motivated. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive and the workouts are individualized and optimally challenging. The overall vibe is welcoming and encouraging. I started at Fitness and Fuel four months ago at a time in my life when I knew I needed to make some changes to prioritize my health. I travel constantly for work and have really struggled with consistency in working out. I felt I had deprioritized fitness in my very busy life. This gym is so lovely - the trainers are all knowledgable, approachable, and very encouraging - and the results I've seen in such a short time astound me. With the full body workout each session, I've shed much of my extra weight and I have built muscle noticeable enough that my friends are even commenting on it. Most notably, it's given me a confidence I didn't realize I was lacking. My work life has felt easier, and I notice myself approaching my goals with the knowledge that I am capable and strong. I joined Fitness & Fuel because I wanted to work on strength training as a woman in my 40s. I hadn't gone to a gym in years and didn't know where to start. That's where Fitness & Fuel comes into play and has been a game changer for me. F&F provides tailored programs based on your individual goals, taking into account any previous injuries or issues. They also continue to adapt your program based on your evolving needs and interests, which is really cool.
F&F is a really welcoming, inclusive, and friendly place where there are all shapes, sizes, and ages of people. You start to see the same group of people so I feel like I'm building a little community there, which is fun. Each person in the small group training has their own goals and program so there is no pressure or comparison to others since we are all doing our own thing while being supported by a personal trainer.
The trainers are super qualified, supportive, and friendly. They meet you were you are at and create a really positive environment.
Based on my goals and schedule, I go to F&F twice a week, which I have found to be a really great cadence. The great thing is that they have really flexible and realistic policies so you can always update your schedule and membership as needed.
Honestly, I can't say enough great things about F&F. 10/10. No notes.

I started Fitness & Fuel a year ago. My mom got me the trial for my birthday and I fell in love with it from the beginning. For someone who has never really exercised or worked out, it was very hard for me physically and mentally but I felt so good afterwards for doing something to better myself.
Jack, Michaela, Evandro, and Sara are absolutely amazing. Not only are they wonderful humans, they are also incredible coaches. They support you, encourage you, and always root for you.
During my strategy session, I remember Jack telling me that everyone in the Fitness & Fuel community is so nice and it’s absolutely true. Everyone is friendly, always smiling (even during training) and happy to be there. F&F also organizes fun events that help people get to know each other and mingle. The programs are tailored to each individual and change every 4 weeks. I won’t lie, it’s still not easy but I love it and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else! I love Fitness & Fuel. Highly recommend!!! I never thought of myself as a gym-going person. I've been training with Jack and the team at Fitness & Fuel for over a year now. I initially approached Jack with the goal of losing weight and finding consistency in my strength training routine. One year later, I've reached my weight loss goals while simultaneously matching strength PRs that were achieved years ago when I was much heavier and that I never believed I would get to again without being at an unhealthy weight.
The monthly programs that Jack creates are extremely thoughtful and personalized. Each month's program cohesively complements each other month making it clear that Jack's training programs are strategically planned well beyond their four week durations. Jack also consistently asks for feedback on his programs and effectively weaves that feedback into his program creation each month. The diversity of exercises included in the programs has contributed significantly to helping me find consistency in my workouts. I tend to find very static programs monotonous so Jack's consistent inclusion of new lifts and movements keeps me focused and interested in completing each program.
In the weight room, Jack and his team find a great balance between intensity and instruction. Workouts are consistently fast paced, but, when needed, Jack effectively slows things down to work specifically on an exercise or technique - my form across almost all exercises has improved significantly since starting. I've had a chance to work with many personal trainers, none have been as effective as the team at Fitness & Fuel at making semi-private training sessions feel like full-private training sessions. Jack's ability to balance multiple clients in a semi-private setting and provide helpful, individualized feedback is second to none.
I can't speak highly enough about my experience at Fitness & Fuel. I wholeheartedly recommend Fitness & Fuel to anyone looking to reach their fitness goals.

Great gym run by great people. They tailor-make workout programs that perfectly fit each person and where they're at in their respective fitness journeys. I've been coming here for about five months now and have dropped 25 pounds, regained muscle I haven't had in years, and have been gradually feeling healthier than I have in a long time, and my programs have helped alleviate some of my chronic back and knee pain. Fantastic small group training! I've been to lots of classes (Barre, kick-boxing, HIIT, Yoga), gyms (FitCorp, Equinox, Mt Auburn Club) and done many "at home" routines over the years (P90X, etc). The classes at Fitness & Fuel are truly my favorite of them all. I look forward to going each time and walk away feeling great. The trainers are all deeply knowledgeable about exercising safely and they customize workouts to my needs and goals; all are encouraging and super friendly. Gym is super clean, bright and tidy. I've done my fair share of gyms/studios/personal training and F & F is top-notch! I did a lot of research before giving F & F a try and chose it mostly because the semi-private training option was just what I was looking for - highly focused but a better fit for my budget than 1:1 training would be.
It's been a fabulous experience! Jack, Michaela and Evandro deliver the highest quality training and create a friendly, light atmosphere where everyone is challenged but supported. I also LOVE that they make a point of educating me about technique and form. Every few weeks they give me a new workout program so I'm never bored. Also, I don't know how they do it, but it's super clean and always organized.
Of all the gyms in the Boston area, I'd pick this place any day - the people and atmosphere always leave me feeling so much better than when I walked in!

The team at Fitness and Fuel are ICONIC! I've been with them for about 6 months now and I've gained so much self confidence and strength. Jack has built an all star team with Michaela and Evandro and their positivity has built a positive and motivating Fitness and Fuel Community. It was my lucky day when I picked a 'winning ticket' for an individual training session at Fitness & Fuel! I met Michaela and Jack who encouraged me to 'come and see,' with no obligation. I have really enjoyed working out at Fitness and Fuel. Jack Losey (founder) and his team accomplished and seasoned trainers are very knowledgeable and above all have always been keen to help me meet my fitness goals. Jack writes out a program for me every few weeks that is progressively getting harder. The facility itself is phenomenal and Jack has paid a lot of attention to ensure it is well-ventilated. Fitness and Fuel’s friendly, comfortable and supportive atmosphere is not the only reason I enjoy being a member. The quality of training is excellent and sessions with Chris have changed my life and brought about a more positive attitude toward my overall health and fitness. COVID procedures are well observed, equipment sanitized, face coverings worn. Highly recommend the facility!

I always have a great workout with Fitness & Fuel! The schedule for online classes is really convenient and a great price. Most important, though, is that the training itself is great. The trainers always create fun, challenging workouts. I've been doing online classes regularly for months, and there's been something new to try every time.
There's also a real focus on form, which I find super useful. I don't have a whole lot of experience with strength and conditioning, but I never feel lost or out of my element. It's great to have someone knowledgeable to help make sure I'm getting the most out of every workout.
All in all, I can't recommend Fitness & Fuel enough! The owners are friendly and accommodating, the schedule is very convenient, and, best of all, I always get a really good workout!

I was hesitant to start a trainer but hadn't been meeting my fitness goals. All I can say is I waited too long. Starting with a Michaela was the the best decision I've made. She quickly corrected my form - increasing my gains and protecting me from injury. I had no idea I had been doing it wrong for years. And even better, she corrected it without the condescension of "I'm a trainer and I know best." She's supportive and always changing up the workouts to keep me from getting complacent. She alters exercises to avoid some lingering injuries while making sure I'm still getting the effects needed. Frankly, if it's ever crossed your mind to get a trainer Michaela (and Jack) at Fitness n' Fuel is the way to go.

I went to Jack to supplement my combat sports training and primarily to help lower my risk of injury and to the fix imbalances that my body has built up over time. I'm very happy to say that it has worked. Jack understands the wear and tear different sports have upon the body and works with you to get stronger, faster and more flexible. As a long time gym-goer, I am a stickler for a few things: cleanliness, atmosphere and quality of training and all are above expectation. It truly is a great place to train and grow.

I have been going to Fitness and Fuel for about 8 months and attended both their semi-private sessions and group classes. Fitness and Fuel is amazing and I highly recommend!! Jack and Michaela are fantastic trainers. They’re both very knowledgeable about fitness/nutrition. I have been working out at Fitness & Fuel for over 6 months now, both personal training and group classes. The facility is a clean, fun place to train and has brand new equipment. I cant say enough about the staff here. I have trained with both Jack and Michaela and they are both very knowledgeable, personable, and highly motivated. I appreciate that they listen, take the time to explain exercises and relate them to your goal, and help you work through modifications or injuries (in my case usually due to stiffness from sitting all day). I have always felt they are invested in helping me achieve my goals. I highly recommend!!!!

This is a brand spanking new facility with awesome personal attention by the owner, Jack. He is super friendly and knowledgeable and creates great programs tailored to your needs. He's been helping me with my flexibility using the FRC method, and he's even created a workout routine so my husband, my kids, and myself can all exercise together as a family. Had an initial semi-private training session at Fitness & Fuel with 3 clients with 1 trainer (Jack). I really enjoyed that format which allows you to train with just enough input and queues from the trainer. The space was welcoming, Jack was friendly and helped me train while protecting my sensitive lower back. I'll definitely return.
