I am blown away at how great Goldfish is! My daughter was in a different program for 2years and cried the whole time during class, for days before and days after from fear, but switching to Goldfish has made a world of difference. The program is geared towards kids- she laughs and plays, sings songs, and talks about swim with so much excitement now. I wish we made the switch years ago! I am so grateful we found this swim school.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Goldfish Swim School! As a family of water lovers, water safety is a top priority for us — and my son’s growth, skill level, and sense of water safety have improved tremendously in just a short time attending weekly lessons here.

One of the things I love most is that their curriculum was created by parents, for parents — and it truly shows. The lessons are structured yet playful, so kids learn through fun while building real confidence in the water.

The warm pool and fun, tropical atmosphere make every visit feel exciting and comfortable — it’s perfect for kids to feel safe and eager to learn. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, with convenient changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.

The swim coaches — Tari-Anna, Mickey, Austin, and Neem — are fantastic. My son looks forward to seeing them every week, and they give me peace of mind with their respectful, caring, and encouraging approach.

I also appreciate the thoughtful extras — kids receive small prizes at the end of each class, there are family swim times to enjoy the pool together, and fun events throughout the year that help build a sense of community.

There’s nothing like knowing you’ve found a place that prioritizes your child’s comfort, safety, and growth — all while making it fun for the whole family. I wholeheartedly recommend Goldfish Swim School to any family looking for a trusted, welcoming swim program that makes learning to swim a joy!

Our 2 girls had a great experience. They both went into the program very limited in their abilities and came out like pros. I am most impressed and comfortable knowing that if they ever were in danger in the water that they would be able to get themselves to safety.

The facility is always clean, family friendly, and they have a great staff that is always happy to help.

My son loves going to Goldfish! We'd previously taken him to lessons at a local gym, where the facility and program weren't as well thought out for small children. Goldfish is clearly designed with kids in mind (both the program and the facility itself) and it is making all the difference in my son's comfort and progress.

I started here with my 7 month old about a month ago. I cannot said enough good things about the place. My daughter’s instructor Michael is very attentive- makes swimming lessons for a new mom and her baby- easy fun and safe ! Shout out to Michael at goldfish in Rockland ! We look forward to our weekly swimming lessons. Highly encourage if you are thinking of starting!

Can't cancel subscription online or through the phone. You have to go in to sign a paper. Online Portal conveniently skips that feature despite the inevitable forfeiture of make up classes and etc (fair). Making it difficult for people to cancel on purpose in way too annoying and absolutely unnecessary.

Overall classes are fun and instructors are great, facilities are great. My son in particular ended up with irritated/red eyes for 1-2 days after classes and thats why we stopped taking him in.

The swim school came up on Instagram and I was familiar with the name because I had a relative that sent her son there. When they called me, I assumed it was only one school and one location, which was located in Brighton. The company took the payment for for three weeks and scheduled him for Sundays. when that Sunday came, we didn’t go because I realized that I would have to Uber from Braintree to Brighton and it just wasn’t worth the cost for me. I Received the text message stating that they missed me. The number they text me from wasn’t a number I could call back so I googled them to grab their phone number when I saw that they had multiple locations including one close to my house in Braintree. At this point, I’m no longer assuming that I scheduled his lesson at Brighton I’m thinking a closer location must’ve been who called me. I just didn’t know which location it is so I went back into my emails and I saw that it was the Rockland location. Again not something that called mentioned on the phone because I would’ve never thought that I was going to Brighton for his swim lessons. We live in Braintree, Rockland is closer to me than Brighton so it wouldn’t have been an issue. The issue came when I asked to transfer him to one even closer which was the Braintree location. Since they aren’t affiliated the associate said they could drop him for the last class and then I could call the Braintree location to pay again. So there was no courtesy or accountability because the last class for the month is a week away technically I could cancel that at no cost. I honestly feel like because they aren’t affiliated they should disclose location when you reach out to folks. It’s misleading honestly.

We have attended Goldfish for many years with both boys and have been happy with all their progress. All of the staff is fantastic but I have to give a shout out to Michael M. He was so patient with my youngest despite all the tears at the start. He’s great keeping the littles entertained, interested and laughing. Now when my youngest hears it’s swim class, he is beaming that he gets to see “My friend Michael!!”
And thanks to Michael/Goldfish, I was finally able to enjoy my own pool this summer with the confidence my son has built!

Both of my children have taken lessons here. The colorful surroundings and warm water make this a welcoming environment to swim in. The small class sizes (1-4 kids, max!) and compassionate teachers keep us coming back week after week. The feedback we get directly from the instructors after every session is so encouraging and helpful watching our kids learn to swim. I highly recommend!

My husband and I could not be more grateful for the Goldfish swim in Rockland. I was nervous when bringing my two young boys for the first time as they have never done swim lessons before. As soon as you walk through the doors you instantly get a welcoming feeling. They building is beautiful and bright and all of the staff are very friendly as well. I love the set up to watch both of my boys swim from outside the glass to give them a little independence but still seeing us to ensure they are on and safe.

My oldest son immediately fell in love with the swim lessons. He loves being able to interact with other kids his age and he is having a blast with all of the swim teachers learning new things.

As for my youngest son he started the first few swim lessons very scared. He cried through the first few sessions. His swim instructor was so patient so kind and truly has gone above and beyond for him to feel safe. I shared with his instructor he is currently going through a screening for autism and it can be more challenging for her to be able to communicate with him.

My youngest son has gone from being scared to beyond excited happy when we walk through the doors of goldfish swim. He sees his instructor and shakes with excitement!!! He is so confident now. He is learning so many new things and his instructor is gently challenging him and truly working with him and understands his needs. At home he is now pretending to be at swim lessons when taking a tubby. He does it all!! From sitting on the side wall splashing kicking with his feet to going on his tummy and kicking his legs and laughing.

This is all because of the wonderful school the wonderful staff. I am so incredibly happy I chose this swim school and truly recommend it to everyone I speak to. THANK YOU GOLDFISH SWIM!!!!!!!!!

Goldfish does a great job with building individual relationships with the children to create an emotionally safe environment, which then allows them to try daring new things. Also when a supervisor noticed my child was very nervous, they gave her the one to one support she needed to feel safe. She basically got a couple of private lessons with all of that support and after 5 sessions she became very excited for swim class.

Definitely will recommend to family and friends.

We have been everywhere for swim - 3 years of private and group swim lessons at the Y and two years before that at a well recommended backyard program… and Goldfish is what did it! They let you wear whatever goggles you want (other programs don’t allow nose goggles) and they are really patient and the owner Bill is super helpful. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

My daughter has been going here for 2 years and can safely swim unassisted thanks to goldfish. My son’s first lesson recently went very well. He did jump off of the stairs prematurely while the teacher was with another child. The staff responded quickly and made sure my son had more supervision while he was waiting his turn. I knew he was safe and in good hands! The staff made an adjustment in teacher - one that had a bit more experience - and also brought over a second lifeguard to accommodated his needs. Excellent job on part of the gold fish staff in Rockland. The staff is young but they are extremely responsible and attentive to the kids.

Goldfish swim school has been amazing for my son. The teachers are great and have a great rapport with the kids. My four year old did one of their jump start clinics and in four sessions he went from not being able to swim to being able to swim on his own (albeit slowly!) We were thrilled and his teacher was the perfect mix of tough but supportive. Thank you so much!!!

My son had taken swimming lessons at three different locations, all different companies and was not learning how to swim. After reading some reviews online, I decided to try goldfish. Within no time my son was developing skills! He became more comfortable around water, learned to float and even began swimming independently. I needed him to learn for safety purposes but now he has developed a love of swimming and wants to continue to learn more! The staff is amazing! Friendly and patient and provide an amazing aquatic education! Cannot say enough good things about this location!

We really appreciate the opportunity to take our son to swim lessons during the pandemic, and to continue activities that feel normal and are important to his development. The operation at Goldfish feels like a well-oiled machine: the instructions for crowd flow are very clear and easy to follow and the class sizes are smaller which allows us to keep our 6' distance.

Goldfish has always stood out as being one of the cleanest pools on the south shore! We have attended lessons on and off for the past 2 years and have always been happy (we took breaks in the summer). Despite this, I was reluctant to continue swim lessons once covid hit. I came in for a trial class and saw that goldfish is doing everything they can to keep the facility clean and safe. I love that they have signs on the changing room doors so that staff knows which ones have been used and need to be cleaned! I also see staff disinfecting seats the second a parent stands up. With this being said, we understand that during these times everything you do (especially indoors) is a risk. I commend Goldfish for their open communication with parents regarding ANY covid-related incidents at their facility. We are at a point that doing any sort of activity is risking exposure and I for one would rather be somewhere that is open, honest and responsive. Thank you Goldfish for saving our sanity and allowing our kids to participate in fun activities while assuring parents that everything that can be done, will be done, to ensure their safety!

We just started classes for my 5 month old son. What an amazing experience and place! The facility is spotless. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the pool was nice and warm so both myself and my little guy were comfortable. Our instructor is fabulous and she went over why we were doing each of the “activities” we did through the class and how that activity and movement would teach my son how to swim and be safe in the water. She also was very attentive and gave everyone one on one instruction. I love that you can easily see the entire pool without being in the actual pool area, so my husband and mom can come and watch too if they want. I can’t wait to see how our little guy progresses. Learning how to be safe and swim in water is so important— we love Goldfish!

Goldfish swim school is a absolutely horrible place. They think it is okay if a child pukes in a lane and to let everyone else stay in the pool that is not in that lane. When clearly WATER FLOWS. All of the pool water would be contaminated after that and you child might be swimming in puke water now. Also they treat their staff very poorly. The managers do not respect the privacy of the employees when they call out, they are very rude when employees are actually sick and need time to get better, they DO NOT give breaks to the young employees that are standing for FOUR HOURS in a 90 degree pool room. They have let multiple people pass out but they blame it on the employees for being dehydrated when they were not given any kind of break. The managers are biased towards some employees and treat others unfairly. Over all I would not send your child to a swim school like this I suggest going to the YMCA they also have much more to offer and is an actual good establishment.
