Iβve been taking Gentle Flow yoga with Lisa B. for a year and a half. Lisa is wonderful, sheβs enthusiastic about teaching and helping everyone in her class. And sheβs got a great sense of humor.
Iβve been working with Kristen, a personal trainer for almost a year. Kristen listens to my needs, my limitations and designs workouts accordingly.
I love the positive community spirit at the Hockomock Y.

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. The staff were aggressive and unkind, and I felt disrespected the entire time. As someone coming from a different country, I expected to be treated with the same respect as anyone else, but instead, I felt singled out and even yelled at. This place does not make people from different backgrounds feel welcome. Instead of being supportive, the staff created an uncomfortable and unfriendly atmosphere. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for kindness, respect, or community. especially there is a woman there called Molly.

My daughter goes to the Y camp as a junior camper and loves it. She has a structured well planned day full of activities and water play to keep her cool. She has made close friends and loves her counselors. It makes going to work for me an easy task knowing she is well cared for and having fun!

I had a very disappointing experience at this YMCA. Some of the staff were rude and unhelpful, especially at the front desk. I came expecting a welcoming environment but didnβt feel respected or supported. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves staff training.

My daily schedule changes constantly so I have only tried a few group exercise programs. The instructor and other participants were very encouraging since I was new to the program. Generally, I spend most of my time in the exercise equipment room. I like the variety of equipment and there is always something available to try even when it is very busy

There's something at the Y for everyone in our family and it's a great opportunity for the kids to try out new sports/activities. There is plenty of workout equipment, a nice variety of group exercise classes and kids programs, and it's always super clean.

I love the Hockomock Area YMCA, which I say stands for "Your Mindful Community Association"! The Franklin facilities could use an update, but it is mostly functional and pleasant as is. The newly renovated N. Attleboro branch is GORGEOUS!!!
The staff and fellow members I've met are FANTASTIC, and some of us have become life-long friends.

The inclusive and fun environment you provide is truly outstanding, and I am continually impressed by the positive atmosphere that permeates every aspect of the camp.
One of the most heartwarming sights for me as a parent is seeing my childβs face light up with a smile every day when I come to pick her up. It is evident that she feels happy, safe, and engaged, which is a testament to the fantastic program you run.
I would also like to commend your incredible staff and camp counselors. Their caring, polite, and attentive nature has not gone unnoticed. Each staff member seems genuinely invested in the well-being and enjoyment of the campers, and their dedication makes a significant difference. Even during the structured chaos that is afternoon pickup

We are so happy we found this camp for our son several years ago. Teen Village, part of Camp Elmwood at the North Attleboro YMCA, has our kiddos side by side with typicals, allowing them a true, social, joyous summer camp experience. I canβt say enough positive things about my sonβs amazing summer days at Teen Village!

I can't say enough positive things about the YMCA; I only wish that I had discovered the wonderful programs they offer there many years ago. They provide so many services: a wide selection of fitness classes with quality teachers; a safe and convenient place to swim, play pickleball, or work out in the gym; and an impressive array of social services. I have also been impressed by the friendliness of everyone who works there. The people at the front desk are also surprisingly knowledgeable and efficient. They can answer all of your questions, or refer you to someone who can.
I started going to classes at the North Attleboro Y last year, because they offered the classes I wanted at a convenient time. After years of attending yoga classes at a wide variety of studios, it was becoming increasingly difficult (particularly following Covid) to find the type of classes I wanted. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the teachers, and I was delighted to find thatβwith my membership- I could attend classes at all 3 Hockomock locations. I routinely use the on-line calendars to check and compare what is being offered at each location.
In regards to social programs, the Y makes an outstanding contribution to the local community through their summer camp and after-school programs, special fitness programs for those fighting cancer or other challenging diseases, and an astounding array of community outreach programs such as food and housing assistance, and distribution of school supplies.
Equally important is the emphasis that the Y places on social responsibility and βgiving back.β Every time I enter the yoga studio and see this quote, it nearly brings tears to my eyes:
βOur Y welcomes everyone regardless of ability to pay.β While I do not personally need to seek financial assistance at this point in my life, I remember well the experience of raising 4 young children with no car available and no money to spare. It heartens me to know that the Yβs extensive programs do so much to improve the lives of so many people in our communities.

The lady at the front desk was friendly, place is pretty clean. However, the day pass is $15!! This gym is a beginners facility, with little equipment and low energy. B fit in Norton is also $15 for a day pass and is a much bigger establishment and environment. Sad I wasted money to go here.

The hockomock ymca summer camp I would have to say the staff who takes care of the campers is excellent! However when it comes to the financial part itβs really unfortunate how much the staff harassed me about making payments 3-4 weeks In advance before my child even started camp and then I was told that she canβt attend unless I pay weeks ahead and that if she doesnβt come the money that I paid wonβt be refunded smh. I definitely go back in forth if I want to send my child to the ymca for camp or continue my membership. I always thought the ymca value itβs members and main core is to support families not make things difficult for them. Iβve never had to pay for camp a month in advance always a deposit to hold the spot and then payment the first week when my child started camp. Honestly with the inflation rate going up and cost of living increasing they should be a little more understanding especially with these high childcare fees for summer camp and to be harassed about making payments before a child even starts is ridiculous! The ymca Camp donβt even provide water, snacks, lunch nor breakfast but the price for camp is $1500 for 8 weeks and only 3days.

We have enrolled our kids karate class, officially it should be third week of the class and we are yet to see the instructor or class.
first week: we were told he/she is off there will be class next week
Second week: the reception have no idea about the class and then they said an email went out that today's class is cancelled ( i have heard this story before for swim class) but no email what soever I called the director his last name is heus i think and left a VM did not get a call back
Third week: again there is no karate class and an email was sent today's class is cancelled per receptionist and there is no one accountable i could speak to about it available since it is after 4
the course is paid off for a 7 week and 3 classes already cancelled hats off to them for pulling this off.
Staff is irresponsible and unaccountable. they do not care about the parents and kids time and the effort it take to get the kids to ymca to have their classes.
on top of that they are shameless of their unaccountability and would not give their supervisor information or director contact info to resolve.
if anyone reading this, i would suggest you to save your time from this branch in particular

Not "a Place For all". Highly Suggest if you are a parent of a disabled child you never send your children here. Don't follow EEC or ADA laws or regs despite claims of doing so. They are as irresponsible now just at they were 20 years ago when a child drown on their property in their care when I went to their camp as a child. If I could give them a zero I would.

I completely agree with what James Bush has said previously. He always talks about how great of workouts he has and how much fun goes along with them. He couldnβt be happier with his Hockomock YMCA. Completely recommend coming here.
He also skips chest day. He has the chest of an eel.
Hey guys Iβm back with your daily James Bush update. How could we forget that he skips tri/bi day. Kids got arms of linguini.
So new information has surfaced that James Bush may or may not even go to the YMCA but actually just sits outside the door and stares at people walk in.

Iβm gonna have to agree with James bush on this one, the only problem is that he skips leg day all the time.
Hey guys itβs me again just wanted to update you that James bush does in fact skip chest day also, his max bench is in fact 75
Just adding to what I previously said previously, I have just been informed that James bush does in fact not have a membership to the Y, he also enjoys longs walks on the beach with his 4 cats/his uncle
