I miss this studio so much. I started coming to hope when jen first opened. She was so sweet and SO GENEROUS. The vibe was amazing. I had a routine and i went everyday mon through friday. Id do 2 to 3 hrs daily usually hip hop at 630 then flow at 730 and if i got there early enough and jen saw me waiting shed let me go in to the 530 class. This place healed my soul and my body at a time i really needed it. I gained a physical strength i never had before and i was in great shape. In between classes shed have apples and raw almonds with fruit infused water if you needed a little boost. I just loved it.
Im not sure what happened but the whole vibe went downhill. Jen wasnt Jen anymore. I heard so many things but i was always loyal and i kept going trying to support her through what i thought was a difficult time. Sadly HOPE nor Jen was ever the same and I miss it terribly. It would be nice if HOPE came back and became ehat it once was and if it did if ppl could just let her be herself and run her business while they mind their own.

Can't believe the negativity... oh wait I can believe it... because this is the ridiculous society we live in.. jealous, crazy hater Karen's that will complain and go to the internet in hopes to shame someone's name, reputation, and business because they had to wait, didn't get what they wanted when they wanted.
I started going to Hope when it opened. I love Jen the owner and have had nothing but great experiences there. There was a turn over of staff, but as a business owner myself, it comes with the territory. It's definitely not typical yoga, but it's meditation in movement and whatever you make of it. I loved it. I hope to get back to class soon.

Great fast paced classes, but often are over crowded, you can't see the instructor if you don't arrive early to get in line, and the classes start at least 10 minutes late every time because the crowd is constantly piling in. (this was before COVID)

I haven't gone here in a long while but I feel it important to share how this studio is. It is terrible when I went. Overpacked to the point you can not move. They have no rules (if they do they aren't followed.) Classes always start late and people come in late the whole class. It's a money hungry studio if you go to any other local places you will walk away feeling way more satisfied. Do not waste your time or money to support a terrible women who runs a terrible studio.

Be aware of her fraudulent advertising . She has Champagne parties at her place of business to lure you in to buy discounted classes and offer you a free 10 days pass if you show up. BUT SHE WILL NOT HONOR THEM .

Definitely my favorite place to go for yoga! Itβs not traditional yoga, but it really helps me stop worrying about everything else because of the high speed. Always in a better mood after leaving this place! Recommend it to everyone who wants to try a different kind of yoga.

I love this yoga studio!! Iβve been going here for 3 years and honestly itβs the best workout Iβve ever had! My two favorite instructors are Brittany & Julie! People may be put off about the fact that they use a mix loud of hip hop & rap for their playlist; but being apart of the younger generation I would not prefer it anyway else. After reading all these comments Iβve noticed that all the negative ones are coming from the older generation.. this is not a traditional yoga class! This kinda yoga has a new twist on it, and if you canβt take the heat stay out of the kitchen :) I am so sad that Buti will no longer be taught bc it was one of my fav classes!! This place not only helped me cope with situations in life; it set my mind straight & made me feel healthy and strong. Hope yoga for life !!!

I absolutely love Hope! If you are looking for traditional and boring, stay away. If you are looking for a place where you don't have to take yourself too seriously and be judged by yoga snobs, you'll love Hope! It's fast, loud, and a killer workout.

I wish I could give 0 stars. There are plenty of other places to do yoga, stay far away from Hope & esp from the owner of Hope!

It's close to the university, so I suppose if you're desperate it will have to do, but consider going further afield to find another studio.
It's dirty. The floor is disgusting and people wear their shoes in. The mat I had to rent smelled gross and looked brown with ingrained dirt. There are no props, so few modifications of poses are mentioned during class.
I went to a flow class, which had a quick pace. The instructor never looks up to see if the class is following her, or corrects students by voice. The place is too packed to walk around and do any hands on adjustment. The instructor doesn't ask new people's names (I assume the turnover is too high to get to know people.)
It was not a "peaceful" retreat from the world. Music continued through meditation or seated poses. Students pulled out phones to text during class. People answered their phones and walked out to have that conversation (and in again). I felt like I was in an office setting not a yoga class.
This is not my kind of yoga studio, and I've been to enough to be able to compare. The pricing isn't so inexpensive that it's worth it. I've been at different studios that offered $30 and $60/mon for student pricing. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a good yoga studio.

I should start off by saying that I enjoy yoga because it allows me to relax and unwind while getting a good workout in. This was not that kind of yoga. Firstly, the class started about 10 minutes late (it happens, I know, but it wasn't a great first impression). There was an intense and incredible amount of chatter before the class began by people around me, and people had their phones out through the whole class which I'd never seen in a yoga studio before. Secondly, the sequences were just too fast, and the instructor didn't offer any guidance on technique. I found myself looking around at others around me simply because I was worried someone might actually get hurt if they didn't really know what they were doing. These weren't basic movements. Lastly, the music was just too loud and the instructor had to shout the whole time. It was overall quite jarring and annoying. I definitely worked up a sweat, but if you're like me and really want to work on your yoga practice and leave de-stressed, this probably isn't the place for you.

I was not impressed with my experience. I found myself so distracted by the instructor's alignment, I wanted to go up and fix her. I'm glad I didn't have to pay (it was my first class). Won't be going back.

I love Hope! It is amazing and so are the instructors. I feel good every time I leave! Its the first time in a while I've felt good about myself and feel motivated to wake up and work out / stretch out.I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to work on yourself and feel good.

This is by far the worst yoga class that I've ever been to as well as the worst group fitness class. I do classes on ClassPass in NYC 5 times a week, with at least one of those classes each week being yoga.
What they teach here at Hope is not Yoga. They have created some mish mash of a HIIT class and Hot Yoga class and people seem to think they're getting a great workout because they are sweating profusely by the end. In reality, the hot room is what is making you sweat, the workout itself is poorly taught. I was wondering during the time that I was there whether or not the instructors are even certified yoga instructors as there was absolutely no flow and they pack people into the room so tightly that no one can even walk around to correct form. They don't even give the instructor a mic. Instead, she was screaming over the music which was nothing but annoying.
After having taken a couple spin classes across the street at LA Spin, I have to say that Dartmouth and New Bedford are ripe for the taking. If someone with real fitness experience were to come in and open studios that actually focused on proper form and alignment while also giving folks a great workout, I think that Hope and LA Spin would find themselves losing their corner of the market in this area.

I love Hope Yoga Studio. They offer a few different types of yoga. Flow is my favorite, it is more of a traditional slow paced yoga. They offer so many different classes per day, so it is convenient!
