Love this gym! Love everything about it, most of all the community and the coaches! They could be offering any fitness program, and I would still be happy to go here. You don't have to be an advanced athlete to get the best benefits of the workout.

Love this gym, my second home. Coaches are the best and are always excited for your fitness. Come try it out, you can be at any level, thatβs the best part of CrossFit!

Jasmine taught an awesome trial class! I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in trying CrossFit! I felt safe performing my deadlifts and learned a lot about protecting my lower back! The rest of the workout was just hard enough that I felt comfortable doing the exercises and I had fun throughout the entire experience! Thank you!

Best CrossFit gym ever! Wonderful and supportive coaches and community. They have taken Covid protocols very seriously since the beginning and it has made me feel safe to keep going there throughout the pandemic. Super inclusive to all athletes, fitness levels, ability levels, etc.

Great community of people. Coaches provide a lot of 1:1 attention and workouts are tailored more towards a broader audience rather than elite games level athletes

Absolutely spectacular. I've been a proud member of this gym for 7 years and have gotten fitter and happier than I had imagined. Great coaches and great community. No doubt the first gym you should try if you're a first time crossfitter or experienced athlete.

Very pleased with my overall experience the last few years here, and would recommend highly. I have been given support and space to grow as an athlete and transform how I view fitness in a way I never imagined. Such a wonderful community of loving, positive, and welcoming individuals whom have taught me so much, both inside and outside of the gym. Total absolute beginners will find an safe and supportive environment to grow and learn, and advanced athletes will find the push that they need. With everyone else in between cheering you on along the way.

I came for the fitness and stayed for the community. I had some reservations at first - my first experience with CrossFit was not for me, it felt exclusive and competitive and gendered, and I assumed all boxes were like this. My husband and I attended a community class on a Saturday and immediately fell in love with it. I'm pretty sure we signed up for fundamentals (the small group intro to crossfit classes) that same day.
We are still friends with the other people in our fundamentals ~2 years later, which I think is such a testiment to the community here. JP Crossfit is a place where I can challenge myself physically or mentally and I have a family to support me and make it fun. They help to bring me up when I'm down and celebrate my victories - both in gym life and my personal life. I typically attend the 6am classes, and collegues think I'm disciplined, where really what gets me up every morning is getting to see my people. The coaches and the other members care SO much.
My husband and I have talked a few times of moving from our apartment, and we always come back to, "But the gym!" We don't want to live anywhere we can't get there easily. It's a truly special place. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to just come say hi one weekend!

I've been a consistent 4-5x/week member for 6.5 years. Exceptional, individualized, detail-oriented coaching. A warm fitness community that balances connection among members and a healthy competitive spirit towards self improvement. I am in the best health of my adult life in my early 40s thanks to the coaches and community of JP Crossfit.

It's been almost 4 years since I joined JPCF, and I never thought I'd develop the level of body awareness, strength, and balance that I have nowβall because of the attentive and thoughtful coaches who meet everyone where we are, and help us achieve goals we didn't even know were possible. The sense of mutual support and safety fills the community of fellow athletes, at the gym and beyond. I'm so so grateful for this super inclusive, generous, and rigorous space of fitness and community!

JP CrossFit is the best! It offers a welcoming community and thoughtful programming developed by expert coaches who happily offer modifications to suit a wide range of ability levels. Located just steps from the MBTA Orange Line (Forest Hills), there's also street parking and a small lot behind the building. The trial class is FREE - I only wish I'd tried it sooner!

JPCF is by far the best gym Iβve ever been a part of. I was really nervous to try CrossFit for the first time, but they walked me through everything I needed to know so that can be successful in this sport. The coaches here are incredible, theyβre professional and really know their stuff. They meet me where Iβm at physically, but also know when to push me to levels I never thought I could reach as an athlete. Theyβve created an amazing environment and welcoming culture and it truly feels like an extended family. If youβre looking for an inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly,
supportive community, this is exactly where youβll find that. I couldnβt speak more highly of this place.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about JP CrossFit. I started at the gym as someone who never thought of herself as an athlete and was welcomed with open arms by the coaches and the community. They meet you where you are and help you find challenging but appropriate scales to complete each workout. The coaches take the time to get to know each athlete and learn what you need to stay motivated and continue to improve.

I started going to JP CrossFit's community classes years ago and finally became a member in 2019. They're a great gym and provide a welcoming environment for novices and competition-level athletes alike. They're a valuable asset to the community and I look forward to the day they can safely reopen.

Great community and very insightful coaches. I am new to CrossFit and they made me feel right at home. They push you without belittling you. At the end of the day, the important part is feeling good about yourself and that is definitely a focus at JPCF.

JP Crossfit has fantastic coaches and a great community. It is the perfect balance of pushing to push yourself while caring about you as a person. I feel like everyone is welcomed for who they are and not pushed into some sort of mold of who they "should" be.

The JPCrossfit staff creates the right balance of community, personalization, encouragement, and shared fitness knowledge. The staff has shown me and other athletes from beginner to advanced that we can do far more than we imagined. This all done in a safe, honest and supportive way.

If you're looking to get into cross fit, this is the place to be. All their instructors are extremely knowledgeable and do an amazing job leading classes.
If you're looking at these reviews right now debating weather or not to enroll in a membership here, take advantage of their free introduction classes to see if its right for you.
Classes are small and personal. Never exceeding 12 people, you wont be lost in the crowd. The instructors are good about singling each person out multiple times during any given class to make sure their form is correct and the weight they are using is appropriate.

The fundamentals classes are fantastic. The class size is perfect - big enough that there's some sort of community building, and small enough that the participants get a lot of individualized attention from the coaches as we learn to lift. The coaches are also really good at identifying those who need extra help with a certain lift and giving them that extra help.
I really appreciate that the class is structured in a way that mimics the normal Crossfit workouts so that we both get a feel for what that'll be like after the Fundamentals class, and so that we feel like we're actually in a CF class and not an intro class. Introducing us to the different abbreviations, lingo, and the different flavors of WOD's that we'll see is really helpful, and I'm sure will help when we advance to the "real" classes. Some intro classes in other gyms feel like you're being coddled - this one challenges me during the cardio and lifting (without feeling like I can't do it/it's useless for me to try) and is always pushing me in the right ways (emphasizing technique over weight is something I was worried about, and very pleased with - I'm really grateful that the coaches are so meticulous about technique while recognizing that some lifts will be easier with some weight and not the PVC).
I came into this super out of shape. Like, can't walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded out of shape. And I'm able to do them. I left the classes feeling really fantastic, and really empowered to get stronger, and actually excited to see how I can advance.
It's really clear that every workout in the Fundamentals class is designed to make our transition to the real classes as smooth as possible.

I've been to a lot of crossfit boxes. This one is good, small class size, very good community of members and support. Limitations in the size of the space and surrounding areas due to urban location (no prowler exercises possible, running limited to sidewalk). Good box overall.
