Several years ago, I made the decision to join Lux Fitness and Wellness Club of Northborough, and I can say without hesitation that it was the best choice I ever made for my overall health and well‑being. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the professionalism, warmth, and dedication of the staff. The program, the atmosphere, and the personalized attention all combine to create an environment where results are not only possible but inevitable.
What sets Lux apart is the individualized approach. The trainers, along with the new owner Jassi, take the time to understand each client’s unique goals, challenges, and abilities. Age is never a barrier here — every client is treated with respect and care, and routines are tailored to fit personal needs. Jassi himself is compassionate, kind, and generous, and his commitment to helping each person succeed is evident in the effort he puts into every session.
In my own case, I faced a serious shoulder injury that could have led to replacement surgery. Instead, the team at Lux developed a targeted therapy program that strengthened my shoulder and restored my mobility. Through consistent, carefully designed exercises, I was able to avoid surgery and regain confidence in my body. That kind of outcome is life‑changing, and it speaks volumes about the expertise and dedication of the trainers.
Lux Fitness doesn’t stop at exercise. They emphasize nutrition, stamina, strength and overall wellness, offering sound advice that supports long‑term health. I can't say enough good things about LUX Fitness and Wellness Club and my personal trainer, Jassi! I came to him struggling with persistent lower back pain (due to anterior pelvic tilt) and chronic right shoulder pain. I am so lucky to have found Lux Fitness and Jassi. Working out with Jassi is significantly better than my past experiences with other personal trainers as well as physical therapists. Over the past year, I've appreciated how Jassi brings his vast knowledge and compassion to understanding my physical challenges. He applies a holistic approach - not limiting his analysis to a specific body part but connecting how the issue relates to overall body mechanics. He varies the workouts so they fit what I'm dealing with that day. He carefully watches what I'm doing, suggesting modifications so I get the maximum benefits from the exercises and don't injure myself in my attempt to get in-shape. The sessions are never monotonous, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated. I look forward to continuing to working out with Jassi, and aging with strength.

I met Jassi through a mutual friend of more than twenty years. They were gym buddies for a good span. My buddy said if I gave him the opportunity, Jassi would change my life. I took this with a grain of salt but was hoping for some points on form, new exercises and the like. Honestly I got both. Beyond being a generally delightful human being, Jassi provides a dynamic and engaging environment to improve your health. To qualify this, I mean to say his guidance is conducive to safe and consistent workouts. I historically have tightness in my right hip. He builds your workouts to rehabilitate your weak points in order to gain overall strength. There are some familiar routines and exercises but each session is unique and feels tailored to focus on my success. His expertise ensures I actually have fun with the workouts, feel motivated, and have appreciated the impact on my overall mental and physical health. We've only been at this for a month but I already feel and see the results. As an aside, he has clients that drive out of their way to see him. I drive an hour or more. We all have options closer but understand the difference and benefit of working with someone like Jassi. Worth the investment.

She is kind, knowledgeable and friendly I felt comfortable talking with her and by the time my consultation with her I felt confident that she could help me reach my get in shape and change my life style. Great place to workout. The studio is BEAUTIFUL and chic! It feel like a Spa. What I like is that my personal training sessions are private, me personally i don’t like working out at a gym. I have my own room reserved and a fitness coach waiting for me. the fitness coach corrects my form and shows me the proper exercise technique. This place is very clean and i recommend you to try it.

I have been a client for several months I lost 18 pounds, 5% of body fat and reduced my waist by 5.25 inches. I need to lose more and I will continue to follow Luisa's advise. She is great and committed to help me reach my goals. am very pleased with my results. The studio is fancy and very clean, excellent trainers. I am several weeks into my Lux personal training experience and already feel it’s one of the best investments I’ve made. Discipline and willpower have never been my strong suits with both exercise and food. Outgrowing my clothes has been downright miserable. After years of fits, starts and unsuccessful new year’s resolutions, I finally took the leap by signing up for personal training at Lux. I needed results. I met with owner Luisa, who patiently reviewed with me the entire detailed questionnaire I had completed. Luisa listened carefully to my background and needs before explaining the Lux system of exercise, nutrition and accountability. I can be quite scattered, so the accountability feature was a critical piece for me. Although I have not yet had my first reassessment, I am noticing progress with consistency, accountability and tracking. I have been trained by Luisa and now Justin. Both are incredibly motivating and push/encourage me, which is what I sorely need. Justin seems to sense at what point pushing will yield diminishing returns. He has been a terrific educator in explaining the purpose of various exercises and how tweaks in form can make a big difference in muscles worked. And he has highlighted the mind/muscle connection, which has raised my consciousness of the muscles being worked while I perform the exercises. I also have had several nutrition sessions with Luisa. While I am a work in progress, for the first time ever I am paying attention to portion control and am much more conscious with what I am putting in my mouth. And I have been consistently tracking my food intake – another first. Luisa carefully reviews my food log and annotates each page with suggestions. She is so passionate about the importance of nutrition in overall body transformation that, even for a food lover like me, she has managed to get me to think twice and avoid some of the goodies in which I would otherwise be indulging.

Lux isn’t your ordinary, run-of-the-mill fitness space. The gym occupies an entire farmhouse-like building. Upon entering, you find yourself in a space that feels at once immense and airy yet cozy. The massive vaulted ceiling creates openness to a “gym” divided into individual fitness spaces. At the same time, the gym has a cozy cottage-chic feel that is warm and welcoming. Upbeat music perfect for workouts injects the room with energy, further adding to the study in contrasts. Walking into the building is such a pleasant relaxing experience, which actually has helped me be ready to expend energy on the workouts.

DO NOT SPEND A DIME OF YOUR MONEY HERE.
These people have no idea what they are doing. They have you go on a ridiculous diet, just to lose weight. There is more to health and fitness than losing weight, they don't realize that.
They also do measurements on you, but don't even get the numbers right their just guessing. When they do a reassessment on you they claim you've lost weight and fat, but the numbers from the beginning weren't correct, so how can that be. And even if you did it's minimal.
Did a training session with Luisa, got injured under her direction. Red flag there. She comes off as nice at first but when something like this happens and you complain she turns on you.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE. There are better options around. Zero stars if I could.

Completed a 12 week session with Lux last week. I am very pleased with the results from their exercise and nutrition program. All the trainers I met were knowledgeable and friendly and very encouraging.
