I can’t say enough about Magnitude! After going through multiple knee surgeries, I struggled with strength, mobility, and confidence. Our middle schooler has been at Magnitude for about a year. He really enjoys it. Most middle school boys do not exactly exude enthusiasm most of the time and he is not different, so it's a little hard to say exactly how he feels, but he is always happy to go and speaks highly of his coaches and his experience there. It is his choice to participate and he has wanted to continue to go twice a week consistently for the past year. I also had the chance to take a few classes myself and found the environment to be very welcoming, positive and supportive.

Really appreciate the personalization. Everyone is different, and the coaches really tailor exercises for the individual for all ages and abilities. Somehow they keep track of what you’ve done in past sessions so you keep progressing. The best part for me is there’s like 5 minutes of cardio at the end. Other group classes I’ve been to have half the class dedicated to cardio but I love the strength and power exercises more! It gets my heart rate going so that’s good.

I started at Magnitude to support a friend who was a coach there. I really hadn’t intended to join since I already had another gym membership. I took my first class with Jenny and immediately was impressed with the Mike Boyle philosophy of the training and how knowledgeable the coaches were. Needless to say, I left that day as a founding member and cancelled my other gym membership! The coaches really know the clients and I find every workout to be challenging and specific to whatever I have going on in terms of work schedule or injury. I have been lifting consistently since 2016 and I have truly learned so much since I started here! I love to know the “why” behind certain movements and my questions are always answered by the coaches! Magnitude gave me my life back! I struggled with back pain after having kids. I couldn’t run after my kids at the playground and I never knew when the pain would land me on the couch unable to stand to cook dinner. After countless PT sessions I decided to commit to strength and mobility training. I was intimidated to start but EVERYONE at Magnitude was supportive and welcoming. They met me where I was at and believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. It’s been a year and a half! I joined magnitude about 2 months ago, and it has already helped me immensely. After having 3 kids in 5 years I felt like my strength needed some major improvement. I also played tennis in college and missed the formal strength coaching I had 15+ years ago. Not only do I feel much stronger, but I was surprised by how much it has helped my stamina in tennis matches and running as well. Another year gone by and Magnitude is still my gym of choice for functional strength training! I’ve been a founding member since Magnitude opened in 2021 and only took a short hiatus when I had a baby last year. During my pregnancy I was able to continue comfortably and most importantly, safely strength train in the gym. The workouts are tailored to a variety of fitness levels; where both options/modifications as well as advancements/challenges are offered. The coaches really listen and care about each individual member, and you can feel that personalization every time you walk into the gym. I felt especially welcomed when I was returning to fitness postpartum and was encouraged to set new goals! While my routines and priorities have shifted as a new mom, what hasn’t shifted is my commitment to making time for myself at the gym. If you are looking for a place to keep you coming back for more, Magnitude is it!!

I’ve been a member for about 3 months and can’t say enough good things about Magnitude. The small group classes allow for a lot of personalized instruction such as correcting form on exercises. And if you’re not quite ready for a certain exercise or you’re dealing with injuries, the coaches will provide tailored exercises for you (which they’ve done for me). Speaking of the coaches - they are all amazing. They take their time to get to know all members, like their goals and injury history. Lastly, the space and vibe are great - the good music and positive energy from the coaches make it much easier to show up for their early morning classes! I would highly recommend Magnitude to anybody considering a membership.

It was a huge step out of our comfort zone to start working out at a gym, but couldn’t be more excited and happier that my husband and I have the Magnitude family now. I’ve been coming 3x per week since the gym opened, and I love it! Great workouts and an encouraging & positive atmosphere. All of the coaches are really knowledge and I can count on them to correct my form and help me make adjustments when needed. Plus, since the class sizes are smaller, you get to know your coach well, which helps to keep me accountable. I’m already seeing results with mobility and strength, and looking forward to more to come!

Editing my review to add my recent pregnancy/postpartum experience: I was able to continue on with Magnitude throughout my pregnancy, right up until the day I went into labor! Magnitude truly helped me get through my pregnancy and birth- My doctor, midwife, and pelvic floor specialist postpartum have all mentioned how helpful these workouts have been for my pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Many of the movements we already do are important leading up to and during pregnancy, and my coaches helped me modify anything needed along the way going above and beyond to help me stay active as long as possible. Now that I’m a few weeks postpartum, I’m looking forward to getting back!

So many amazing things to share, not sure where to start...The coaches are outstanding. They take the time to share their knowledge as to why we are doing the moves, the benefits of them, as well as providing alternatives where needed. They watch you and ensure proper form when performing moves. I greatly appreciate this. They are supportive of our goals.

I appreciate the consistency of the workouts from phase to phase. It's been great to see the physical changes over the past year and the strength gained.

They helped me get strong earlier in the year, in preparation for surgery where I would have to be inactive for 10 - 12 weeks. I had certain areas I wanted strengthen and they worked with me on that. It helped tremendously in my recovery. Once cleared to exercise again, they worked with me to build the strength back up over a few months starting with providing effective and efficient alternatives to certain moves.

I can't recommend them enough for all levels of fitness and ages!

I have been a member at Magnitude since it opened its doors. I have been to many other gyms in the area and as I got older I really wanted to focus more on strength training vs cardio. At Magnitude it’s strength training but training that has a purpose, meaning you aren’t just doing some random exercises just to do. Every exercise is done for a reason and the coaches always explain what that is. I like that it’s not a pounding on your body, like super, heavy lifting but more a process to get stronger through the weight training. There is also stretching and using the foam roller at the start of class to get your body warmed up, and the end of class ends with a short cardio session. The coaches are very smart and explain the why of each exercise and can also modify anything if you are injured. I would and have recommended others to try Magnitude and they have been happy with the results, as have I!

Magnitude Strength & Power is not your typical gym. I have shied away from gyms in the past feeling intimidated and also feeling lost- not knowing what to do. I need structure. At Magnitude Strength & Power you get to experience a personalized workout in a small group setting. The atmosphere is so positive and encouraging. I never thought I would look forward to a workout. Before I came to Magnitude I had very little range of motion in my right shoulder (even after physical therapy). Stephen has really worked with me and provided modifications and I am so happy to say I now have full range of motion and I am doing exercises I never dreamed I would be able to again. The whole staff is incredible in so many ways- extremely knowledgeable- but have also created an environment that is fun- positive -and never boring. I love the comradery within each class- cheering on each other and truly happy for others accomplishments. The owners of Magnitude Strength & Power have built a great experience and fitness framework on the South Shore that is unlike anything I have experienced before. The coaching environment is motivating without being intimidating and generates an inclusive atmosphere that welcomes people with many different fitness goals. Their personal attention in small groups is exceptional with a focus on building strength, flexibility, and better all-around health. My 11 yr old granddaughter came to this gym for a series of group classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She enjoyed it very much and made friends with other participants. The staff are all very helpful and gave her a lot of specialized attention since she has had several foot and knee operations. I have had two injuries since joining Magnitude, unrelated to fitness, one being a fractured finger, and I was able to continue my weekly workouts at Magnitude due to the amazing coaches finding unique and safe ways for me to modify while healing. This is not an ordinary gym or personal training experience. I started Magnitude about 3 weeks ago and am loving it! I have a torn rotator cuff and a torn labrum and have been doing PT for months. Although PT was working (slowly) going to Magnitude was a great way to take the next step in my recovery, and to be honest, I feel it is working better then PT thus far. Magnitude Strength & Power is absolutely amazing! The Owners are outstanding and very hands on. They have thought of every detail on how to work with their clients regardless of how young or old they are. They take time to reach out before each class to check in. If you miss a class, they also check in. It’s really nice to have this type of support and adds something extra that I haven’t seen at other gyms. At Magnitude, Strength & Power I feel like I belong. I appreciate the time and energy coaches put into teaching me proper form and helping me grow. I can see and feel progress knowing I can do more both in and outside the gym. Before I even arrive to class my coach sends me an email saying how much they’re looking forward to seeing me.
