About the Club

My name is Mark Ferrara. To me fitness is more than a job, it’s a passion! I’m a huge advocate in leading by example and making this my lifestyle rather than a 9-5. As a young child growing up with weight problems I decided I had enough and needed to change. By 13 years old I began learning everything I could relating to health and fitness. I became fascinated with bodybuilding and creating the body into a work of art. I began lifting weights, doing cardio training, and cooking daily. I also spent time studying a few different styles of martial arts as well. 17 years later my passion is stronger than ever and continue to still learn more each day. My motivation to my workout lies in motivating others to look and feel their best.

I recently started training with Mark and recommend him as a trainer. I especially appreciate the quality and diversity of equipment available at his gym. He's built a facility accessible to all types of lifters [from beginners to advanced]. This straightforward, no-nonsense gym enables clients to focus on achieving a high-impact workout without waiting for equipment due to overcrowding.

Mark is a knowledgeable and personable individual who puts in maximum effort as a coach and mentor to help clients achieve their fitness goals. He is passionate about acquiring evidence-based knowledge relative to exercise physiology and training methods. Mark "checks the box" as a trainer who will try a given method, technique, or strategy before suggesting a client add it to their toolbox. Said differently, he won't ask you to perform a lift or technique he has not tried first. He stands behind his guidance and insights and backs up his recommendations.

Lastly, Mark took great care in building a lifting program that considered my physical limitations (hip replacement) and allowed me to continue to make significant gains while minimizing potential injury. This was one of the key factors that I believe sets Mark apart from most other trainers offering similar services.

My wife and I have been going to Mark since August. I'm 41. She's 42. Women start losing more muscle at age 40 and that's why I decided to go see if working out with Mark was a fit for me. Focused but fun, Mark puts you at ease and has you achieving goals and results you can’t imagine when you start out. I’ve known Mark for years now so when my son expressed an interest in working out I called him. My son took to him right away and often will say I can’t wait to tell Mark this or show him that, meaning at their next session. My son is only 9 so it takes a unique trainer to not only teach a young kid how to perform exercises correctly but also to keep his focus on what’s he’s doing.
