Had big expectations but left under impressed. Itβs November 6th, and the lobby is still advertising Octobers Hell Week offering. The lobby was dirty, floors were not swept, windows were smudged with finger prints. Treadmills #7-#13 are set on uneven ground, making them slanted. (Horrible for skeletal muscular function) the rubber floor was βbubbledβ up on several locations making it a tripping hazard. The resistance bands on the rowers need to be replaced, they do not recoil as quickly as other studios. Internal studio mirrors were dirty. Dumb bell handles are dark black and rusty
Overall, this studio is clearly struggling

This place is horrible. I canceled my membership in May they still charging me every month 179$. Every time I call no one help . The reason I canceled my membership because they put wrong information in my account I wasnβt able to pick up any schedule through my app. I called two week every single day to fix so I can start picking up classes no one knew how to fix that problem. So I end up canceling membership. They said they have 30 day policy meaning I have to pay one more month even I just signed up and I was canceling due to their mistake. Still they charge my card for June 179$. I called to make sure they took my card off. In July again they charged my card 179$. Be careful before signing up theyβre organizing is not good at all. The workout they do we can easily do it on our own at home or gym. Worse service ever in Burlington MA orange theory.

I started orange theory earlier this month and love it. My first class was with Emily who was great at showing me the ropes and making sure I had the movements down. Only down side is if you work later I to the evening like I do you may be limited to early morning work outs - thankfully BG carries enough energy for everyone and gets your day started the right way.

Subject: Unpleasant Experience at Orange Theory Burlington
I recently had a disappointing experience at Orange Theory in Burlington, MA, and I feel compelled to share my feedback. My wife, who is a member, convinced me to join her for a free trial class at the Burlington location. Unfortunately, my encounter with the front desk, particularly with Sarah Michaela, left me with a negative impression.
Upon explaining our situation, Sarah was unyielding in her refusal to let me join the free trial class because it wasn't my wife's home office location. Despite expressing our willingness to travel 15 miles for this experience, Sarah showed a lack of consideration and empathy. Her demeanor was not only rude but also unprofessional, leaving us feeling unwelcome.
I believe that customer service is a vital aspect of any business, and the interaction with Sarah fell short of the expected standards. I suggest that Orange Theory in Burlington invest in additional training for front desk employees, specifically focusing on customer empathy and communication skills.
I hope that this feedback contributes to the improvement of customer experiences at Orange Theory in Burlington.

I was charged to put my membership on freeze since Iβm traveling internationally and when I called to extend the freeze they want to charge me again. I wasnβt even told I will be charged for the freeze in the first place.
When I asked to cancel my membership they want to charge me a full month before they cancel.
I was trying to explain I am traveling oversees for a family medical emergency and Iβm not going to be back until end of the year.
I just donβt get the logic!
I have been a long term member of orange theory but looking at this exploitation I am not going back!

Taking temperature at the door, social distance + dividers + mask. They are making it safe to workout and take care of ourselves. The entire staff is full of kindness and incredibly engaged in making sure you are getting the most out of the workout and safely. Under $15 per class and much lower when you go for the unlimited month. Iβm averaging over 500 calories burned in a hour workout. πͺπΌ

I decided a few weeks in the OrangeTheory was not for me, I completed my 12 classes and submitted cancellation paperwork. The staff was friendly, and the instructors did a good job giving attention to everyone in the class. The online reservation process was easy, and itβs nice to know thereβs a spot waiting for you in class. Ultimately I just donβt enjoy treadmills or the rowing machine which make up about 75% of the class

Each time i come to this fitness center the staff was friendly ind and helpful. The staff was on top of there game. They give a very nice informative tour and a good intro to the happenings at the center. As far as the trainer sadly it was her last night at this location but gave it 100% regardless was kind and funny they other trainers seamed great. The work out was great intense and clear, I got a great work out and was given good information felt supported by the staff and it was a all around spectacular environment. Would 100% come back prices are a bit high but the quality of personnel and equipment are fantastic.

Coaches are great, all different styles and personalities but all knowledgeable, helpful, supportive, energetic, and motivating. The community of members is engaged and fun, not judgmental or needlessly competitive. I gotta bump this up to five stars. I love the workouts and the coaches really coach--when I walk out of there I am DONE. They're also really good about checking form on weight exercises. And somehow (is there a sports psychologist in the back office?) they're able to keep it fresh and keep the intensity dialed up over time. AND I've been at it for months and haven't aggravated any old injuries, which is usually the way it goes for me at the gym. Great work, OT Burlington!

Short Review: Orangetheory Burlington is a great place to go if you want to be sure you are getting the most out of 60min workout. Staff is great, the gym is clean, and the other members are nice and supportive.
Long form review: I will start by saying I am a 32yr old male who never seriously worked out before joining OTF. I was nervous walking into a class with other people but after 4-5 classes the nerves go away. The classes are structured so that people of any fitness level can walk in start working at a pace that works for them.
My first day at OTF Burlington was in June 2016. As I write this I have been going for over a little over a year. I started with 2x times a week for a few months. I now go 5x times a week and have been for last 5-6 months.
The Orangetheory format is something that works well for me. Each class is a little different but you know you will get ~30min on the treadmill and ~30min of floor/weight exercises. You might be a little lost during the first class as you need to listen for instructions from the coaches. Donβt let that get to you, it only takes 2 or so classes to get the hang of things. The workouts are all about getting your heart rate up. This gives you some flexibility in how you go through the workouts. If you arenβt a strong runner and work up a sweat power walking on hills that is perfectly fine. I personally started off power walking then moved on to jogging.
All the coaches at OTF Burlington are great. You can tell they legitimately enjoy their jobs and want to help you improve yourself. The best part in my mind is they take the time learn peopleβs names to help motivate you throughout the class.
I have lost weight going to OTF Burlington, which was my original goal. However, after a few weeks the weight loss stopped being my driving factor. My goal became to see how well I could push myself and improve at the different elements of a OTF workout. I am happy to say I have improved in all areas, and I am still motivated to keep going.

Orangetheory Burlington is great! Everyone is really friendly - the trainers, the front desk staff, the other members. The workouts are always different, so you don't get bored, but they are very easy to follow. I really like getting the email at the end of each session with my heart rate data and time spent in each zone. Classes are really easy to schedule (you can use your online account, the app, or they'll do it for you at the front desk), and I've never had issues getting into classes during peak hours. Overall a great studio with great people!

Since I joined OTF, I lost 30 pounds.
Coaches- I like the variety of coaches. They all have different personalities and expertise but still motivates us to strive for better and improve our form on the tread, rower and floor. The trainers (and Andrea in the front desk) all have helped me PR on the treadmill to run longer, faster and get higher wattage on the rower.
Workouts- I love that the workouts are challenging and are things that I would NEVER do on my own if I was to work out at my local gym. It's great that I am pushed to run hills and do sprints on the treadmill, because, who really goes to the gym and has the self discipline to do so? On the floor, I like learning new compound workouts like suit case squats, renegade rows and utilizing multiple muscles.
I also love incorporating different equipment that I don't always have access to at my local gym (ab dolley, TRX, bench, rower). The calves stretcher and foam rollers available are an added bonus!
Technology- I love being able to see my performance during and after class and knowing when I need to push a little bit harder to get myself into the target zone. If I were to work out on my own, I'm sure I would mostly be in the green and probably coast along.
Cooling/Stretching It's great the warm ups and cool downs are rushed! It's great that the new stretch routines are based on the muscle groups used for that class.
Professionalism: All Staff (both trainer and front desk) are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable! It's not a random person of the street teaching a group class but they know the science and technology! They are available before and after class to help out and answer questions and are actually involved in other events (races, rowing clinics)
Cleanliness: I can't say this about most gyms but this one is ACTUALLY CLEAN and the equipment actually functions or gets fixed right away if it doesn't. From the machines to the showers, everything is immaculate. I've seen trainers rerack weights when they are not in proper place and I've seen the front desk staff help maintain the lobby and shower facilities.

TRY IT OUT! I have been going to OTF for about 2 years. I love the workouts because they are muscle & cardio combined. I love that you never get the same workout routine, so it is never boring. I love that the workouts are challenging (but easily modified!) I love the schedule! There are so many options (my one wish is for a Sat or Sunday afternoon option!) OTF offers a wide range of 60 minute HIIT classes with a mix of interval training on treadmills/rowers with strength training blocks mixed into the work out. Every single work out is different so Iβm never bored and Iβm always being challenged to the max. Strength training equipment includes free weights, body weight, TRX, ab roller, bench and weighted medicine balls.
You will wear a heart rate monitor that you can either borrow or purchase. I bought the wristband and prefer it to the monitor that wraps around your chest. (Be sure to charge it after each class.) Your gender, height, weight and activity level are entered into the system and heart rate will appear on a large TV for everyone to view. What was most eye opening to me was to think I was working hard, yet I wasnβt even close to the orange zone of 84%. This simple fact has now shown me that all of my work outs prior to OTF, and prior to wearing a heart rate monitor were absolute crap. To really understand what I mean, take a free class at OTF. You will push yourself in a way that will truly maximize your efforts and burn calories in a super efficient way. After the class, your final results will be up on the screen and it will be emailed to you for your review.
Intervals are usually 1-3 minutes that include a base, push or all out pace. For example, 3 minute push, followed by a one minute base, followed by a 2 minute push, followed by a one minute all out. Repeat. The trainer will guide you to what those speeds will be for you. Each day is either endurance, speed, power or all three. Another workout may be the above mentioned but at a 3.0 incline. What seems slightly insane becomes doable when they are completed in short intervals with time to recover allowing you to purposely go from the orange zone to green to orange again, hence the purpose of the interval. I also feel that the music is a big part of the work out as the trainer has the ability to speed up the songs to fit the work out. I love me some club music or even top 40.
All of the trainers that have taught my classes are different but they are each phenomenal in their own right and well-versed in Orangetheoryβs philosophy. They are all friendly, engaging, inspiring and motivational in a non-threatening manner. What I mean by that is I donβt need someone in my face yelling at me to push myself. I feel as if they respect you for being there, knowing you are about to bust your butt on a whole new level. Your heart rate is up on the screen so they know when to push you or have you back it down. Trust me, heart rate monitors donβt lie. This is the key to your weight loss and fitness success and what makes OTF different than the rest.
As you prepare to sign up for classes, note that the popular time slots do fill quickly but if you put yourself on the waitlist, anticipate that you will get into the class. You will be notified by email if you made it in as well as a follow up phone call from OTF to confirm you can attend. You can also sign up for several of the same class (day/time), weeks at a time. I do wish there were more classes on the weekends as the studio usually closes after a 11:30 am class but I imagine this is typical as the gym has been open for 6 months. Most classes are full with 24 peopleβ 12 on the treadmill and 12 on the rowers. Every class I take another person becomes a member. Classes held at 8:15 pm tend to be smaller but only run fall, winter and spring.
When I say IF I CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT, I mean it. Iβm 40, overweight, carrying almost five year old baby weight around and I might be slower than some, but I finish every single time. My best may be better or worse than another, but every class Iβm improving my times and recovery rate. There are people of all ages and fitness levels in the class and you have one hour to focus on yourself getting fitter, stronger and faster. Despite being a former college athlete, I have NEVER worked so hard in my life and I love every second of it. I feel so lucky to have found OTF-- life changer!

I love this class! It's challenging for whatever level of fitness you're at. They also have some later classes which is hard to find at other studio's and gyms.

Fantastic workout, great for those who loved doing sports during school! You never need to worry about figuring out what to do for your workout, it's all decided for you and the trainers coach you through each class. There is a great mix of cardio, strength and core training. With the heart rate monitors, it is really easy to see how hard you are working throughout the class, and you know when you can push yourself a little harder! Try out a class, it's definitely worth it!

These group fitness classes are absolutely amazing! I've been going to this studio since before the grand opening and I'm am just about addicted. I started going 2x a week and have upgraded to have an unlimited membership. The staff is energetic, knowledgeable, and a great fitness resource. The community this studio is building is one to be apart of- they welcome any and everyone!

Absolutely LOVE this place! As OTF became part of my life it was important for it to feel like something I wanted to go and do. New members are welcomed with support and encouragement. When I have questions any of the trainers are receptive and helpful, but more importantly passionate about my well being. I look forward to each workout since they are NEVER the same.Overall, such a great place! The coaching, the workouts, and the community- everything about this place is amazing.

Great classes! I've been going to this studio even before they officially opened and I'm pretty hooked. I've even upgraded my membership from 2x/week to unlimited. I used to drag myself to the gym but with OTF, I find myself looking forward to the workouts... even if there were times when I feel like I'm about to faint from pushing myself too hard. The trainers definitely encourage you to work hard but obviously to a limit. They constantly monitor our heart rate and make sure that if we're in the red zone (above 90%) for too long, they give us a little warming to slow down. They also point out if you are not working hard enough and in the blue zone too long (anything below 70%).

Great, Great Workout! Took a chance and purchased during pre-sale time and so glad I did! Far surpassed my expectations from the first time I walked through the door! Great staff and customer service too - all the teachers have been awesome and motivating and the front desk/owners are nothing but professional! Kudos to the Burlington team on a great workout and business! If only you'd open in Bedford.. ;-)

Great instructors. Great staff. Great exercise philosophy. I'm so excited that I finally took the leap and tried Orangetheory fitness. I'm a former Classpasser and gym-hopper and feel like I've tried it all (from Spin to Boxing to Crossfit) But in Orangetheory I've found something that delivers exactly the workout I'm looking for. What I like best is that you're surrounded by all types of people -- everything from people going to the gym for the first time in years to incredible athletes -- and everyone has the same goal: to achieve their personal best, whether it's via power walking or all-out sprinting. If you haven't tried it yet - definitely come in for the free class. I'm guessing you'll be hooked from the start like I was.

I am a huge fan of Orangetheory Fitness and am so happy they opened one in Burlington! The workouts are varied and the hour goes by super fast. The trainers are knowledgeable and friendly. The best part is those last few minutes when you can see your workout summary and feel amazing about what you accomplished!
