But men toilet stall / room door locks were broken. But whoever fixed them fixed them wrong.

The lock indicator / label has been inversed.

It shows open when someone is using the stall. But closed, when there is no one in the stall, and the door is open.

It has been like that for a couple months now.

Please fix!

Worst gym I can't wait to be able to afford another gym that is close to me. ABC finance the company thate handles their billing is terrible. Only the manger can push past due payments through. Sometimes they even can't. And if your payment doesn't go through you are slapped with a late fee. Often times the payment won't even come out on your billing day leading to late fees and a whole debacle. Planet fitness is so obvious with their need to profit of these late fees. They also can't keep a manager been through 3 since I joined. Yikes.

3/4 showers had broken shower faucets, missing shower heads, and shower curtain half hanging off the rod. I’ve been a member of PF since 1999, I’ve never seen such a run down facility. And the front desk person laughed at me as soon as I left the counter. I won’t be back.

Planet Fitness is a great gym for the price! They keep the equipment updated, with 20 treadmills, stair climbers, and plenty of lockers. It’s clean, has a friendly staff, and a no-judgment atmosphere. Even during busy hours, there’s usually an open machine. If you want a budget-friendly, well-equipped gym, this is a solid choice!

I’ve been to a number of Planet Fitnesses — and this one is quite well managed; however, since when did a gym become a disco? The music is too loud. Arrangement of machines also makes it a little cumbersome to get around.

The location is very convenient but there are several issues 1. They take forever to repair equipment and don’t seem to have any urgency to fix them 2. One of the men’s stalls has been locked from the inside for a while (I assume purposefully as it’s broken) and nothing has been done to fix it. 3. The men’s lockers smell like piss 4. The tiles in the bathroom are extremely slippery even when not wet and will cause someone to fall and hurt themselves. This planet fitness has a serious operational / cleanliness issue. I hope they get it together. The staff are really kind though which I appreciate.

There has been a lot of improvements & updates since the club opened. My only issue is the bright lights that are blinding in the massage chair area and the chairs need to be replaced. 7 & 8 are broken even while operable some functions are still stuck and the heat comes on while not selected.

This is a pretty good Planet Fitness. The staff does a pretty good job keeping paper towels and cleaning spray available along with good general housekeeping. The only thing I can really say is that it gets busy during peak hours and you may have to wait for a machine/weights or go do a different exercise.

I’m quite upset about a new policy “no jumping rope” allowed due to “space” there is clearly open space in the gym and I honestly only go to the gym to play jumping rope, finding out that I can’t jump rope after signing membership is really upsetting, as the last time I tried the gym they gave me a jumping rope and it was fine!

Closed this afternoon, [Easter] door locked and no explanation, even though the PF website says this location observes normal hours today despite the holiday.

[EDIT regarding PF's reply: It's not the customer's responsibility to investigate why PF was closed in the middle of the afternoon when the website's schedule said it was open all day for the holiday. That is something PF itself has an obligation to look into, along with offering due compensation to customers who weren't provided with advertised services and who wasted time traveling to PF only to find it closed.]

ADDENDUM: Once again, this PF location falsely advertised its holiday hours. The PF app says this location is open "regular hours" (5am-11pm) for today (Independence Day 2024). But when I showed up at 3pm, the doors were locked and a sign on the door announced they would close at 1pm. Furthermore, their phone recording just says "try your call again later", with no mention of being closed. So the only way to find out is to go there and see.

This club feels no responsibility to honor its advertised hours, and the franchise feels no responsibility to do anything about it.

One of the best planet fitness I have been to, there's a lot of equipment and it's never crowded. I had an awful experience one day, i always leave my belongings in a locker overnight with my lock on, I was not informed that the policy forbid to leave things overnight in the locker room.
My lock was cut down in half and my belongings were pit in a plastic bag. I take accountability for not educating myself before hand but I blame them for cutting my lock that i bought 15 bucks at a vending machine in the gym. I was not refunded but was told to buy another one. Besides all that it is a great gym to lock in and work out.

I’m a member since they opened in Central, and i’ve been robbed twice in the lockers room, a lot of 🐀in that place, they even cut the locks and nothing happens, management is not taking any responsibility and not helping in checking cameras. Nina is simply the best! It turned out that there were a lot of complicated outstanding billing issues on my account which had to be resolved ASAP. Nina is not only competent and knowledgeable in her managerial role, but she is also an extremely caring and thoughtful person who can think on the client's side. I’ve been attending this location for the past 5 months or so, the staff is super friendly and the machines are clean since there’s always staff members cleaning around but the bathrooms specifically the toilets need a lot of attention!!!Every time I’m here the toilets are dirty to the point that you have to pick the one in best shape but today I’m really frustrated because from 4 bathrooms only 1 is in “decent” shape, you can definitely tell that they haven’t been cleaned in several days because not only the toilets are dirty but also the toilet paper holders on the wall they are super dusty and seems like they were splashed by some liquid :/
I have talked to the staff about it but nothing has changed they always said that they clean between 12-6 am but tbh it doesn’t seem that way, hopefully you can do something about it because it’s very disappointing

I must say this is the cleanest planet fitness I've been too. It's also the best gym overall has everything to enjoy. I love them massage chairs and love tanning and just love whole place. I must say there's a gentleman that works there in mornings when I go in and he's an absolute sweetheart! I look forward to seeing him greet me w a friendly smile when I go in. His name is Daniel Wynter he's quick to help and does so happily he's great! He's a complete gentleman.
There's also a women who's there every morning also I'm apologize I did not get her name but I will. She's there in the early morning during the week when I go and she was absolutely helpful in showing me around and how to use everything. She's a good lady. I love going here!

MY ONLY ISSUE IS:
The 30 min room has too many equipment and I have random strangers rubbing up against me while I am working out. That is really creepy and uncomfortable.

Plus, this could be an injury waiting to happen. I've see people with dumbells in there clogging up an already crowded area.

People keep waking into each other or me.

Today the morning staff clipped my lock on one of the lockers in the front area, claiming it was there overnight, even though they saw me put my stuff in the locker when I entered the gym when it opened (and one of them opened the door for me). When we discussed what happened one of the guys apologized for what happened but I asked for reimbursement for my lock. He took my contact info but the other guy said I'm unlikely to get anything. When I turned away they started laughing at me. Unprofessional. I could use the contact info for the manager/management as it's not easy to find.

This past Sunday I was denied entry to the Central Square Cambridge Planet fitness location. I was told because my pants were not “workout pants”. I had on a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers.

As a black card member one of the benefits I enjoy is being able to drop into any location I want whenever I have time and feel like getting in a quick workout.

Having been a member of planet fitness off and on for 20 years this was the first time I have ever been denied entry for my attire or anything else. The Central Square location is a new location and I believe it opened 2 or 3 months ago and in that time I've visited there twice. As I recall the previous two times I visited the front desk staff were neither friendly nor welcoming but at the time I didn't think too much about it, I just got in and got out. It was only after the last experience that I recalled how unwelcoming the staff was on my prior two visits. .Neither time did anyone say hello or welcome when I entered the gym, both times they just kind of stood back quietly staring at me as I scanned in. I felt like I was at the airport going through a TSA checkpoint. It’s kind of awkward and then it’s over and forgotten.

But this last time takes the cake. The big man at the desk named Claudio decided to flex his authority and make an issue out of gym attire. The guy was acting like he was a club bouncer and he was looking for a fight. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told to take a card to the counter but there is no manager here. It was all, tough guy attitude. I’m twice his age and about a foot shorter so I guess he knew who to act like a tough guy with. It was all disrespectful and totally unnecessary .

After that nonsense. I started to wonder if it was just me or if anyone else has had terrible interactions with disrespectful staff at that planet fitness location or others.

I went to this location, in addition to two others. It did seem clean, and I liked how the Black Card area was laid out. I use a wheelchair and chose this location to try because the website claimed there was parking and it was accessible.

The only parking I found was a shot that opened up on Essex St. as I was looking for a different spot. I reached the "accessible" entrance to see a sign that told me to call for assistance. There was only one staff member present, who technically couldn't leave the front desk. He was nice enough to let us in that door and get me onto the lift.

When I exited the lift, I had to go through the 30-minute circuit area, which meant waiting for and weaving astound the purple using it. I don't particularly appreciate that I have to call to be let in each time and pray to the Parking Gods for a shot, but the gym had a much nicer layout than the one in West Roxbury.

I transferred my membership over to this location. One of the workers was very short with me and bordered on rude during this process. I asked him if there was only one scanner open and he snapped back that he was using the computer he was on. This location is now open and is all brand new. I was a member of BSC before this. The general footprint is the same, but they fully gutted and renovated the space to make more room for machines, circuits, and training areas for things like TRX. The Black card area is also super nice and all new. I’m thankful a gym is back in the property!
