Overall a decent gym with working equipment but has a homeless problem in the locker room. They take over the stalls and showers and are very messy. When I tried changing my gym which has to be done by them, not sure why I'm unable to on the website as this has been an issue for 3 years, they transfered me to the wrong gym after having to call 4x. I called the gym they put me at and it was corrected within minutes. Feels like retribution but can't prove that. All I know is that they threatened to terminate me and not the aggressive homeless man monopolizing the locker room.
I find it laughable that the owner tells the people complaining about rude, helpless management to call said rude and helpless management to complain about how rude they are 🤣🤣🤣 that's priceless

The facility is very clean. There are many bikes, treadmills, etc. Lots of workout machines and free weights. It can be tough to get on certain machines during peak hours as there are a lot of people there. It can be frustrating to want to use a certain machine, and be unable to because a person is sitting on it, not exercising, but texting. I don't mean an OMW quick text, but a 10 minute exchange. Very inconsiderate. The staff is not very involved. Primarily they stand behind the counter and talk to each other

I know gyms are smelly but this place reeked like vinegar and vomit and it was unbearable 😭 it’s also insanely dirty. Half of the paper towel dispensers didn’t have paper towel, none of the women’s rest rooms had toilet paper. I wanted to actually RUN on my treadmill but it shook so violently I couldn’t do it. I understand short staffing and all of that but I would at least enjoy a clean space. Maybe ive just been spoiled by other planet fitnesses. Not sure, but I will be going to a different one.

I used to love it here.. I get out of work handle my business and go on my way…now way too many kids sitting around one machine not using it just talking. They need to do a better job of telling people to use the machine and move on.. Which would work if the employees were existent, but they are not..Some of us work for a living and have busy lives and this is the only time we get to work out. It seems like people just come to the gym To be seen and socialize. I will be downgrading my black card, and if it doesn’t change, I will be canceling altogether and finding a better gym.

I have been trying to cancel for 2 years because I. O longer live in the state. They kept telling me I have to go into the store. 1400$ just to cancel a gym membership is not going to happen.
Congress passed a law saying the gyms need to cancel memberships. They can’t hold you for ransom🤣now they are telling me to send a certified letter.

I've been coming here for some time now and recently upgraded my membership. I can honestly say that Planet Fitness has provided me inspiration in my fitness journey. In the seasonal spirit of giving thanks, I am especially grateful for the night staff--Christian, David, and Brandon! They are welcoming, friendly, and professional, always willing to give pointers about exercising & healthy eating, and they keep this place clean! Clients range from beginner to expert, so there's lots of opportunity to meet new people and workout with a partner. And bringing a guest in for free is great. This is truly a judgment-free zone! I definitely recommend taking advantage of all the perks here. This is the perfect time of year to commit to a better you!

Maintenance in locker room is non existent. Area is cleaned 5 times a week. Think about how many people use the facilities a day and it is cleaned once a day and not cleaned on weekends. This place should be cleaned multiple times a day. Urinals break and remain down for weeks. Showerheads broken in handicap shower and again repair is non existent. There are no hooks in the changing stalls to hang clothes / towels. No benches in changing stalls, just a stool. Leg machine down for more than a week now. This complaint is not directed at the staff. They are not responsible for maintenance and the gentlemen who opens the gym M-F is excellent. Ownership needs to be held responsible. I have a black card membership and have frequented other PlanetFitness facilities. All of them are superior to the Fairhaven facility.

While the gym itself seems nice, my experience with the management at Planet Fitness Fairhaven was frustrating. I downgraded my membership from a black card to the standard $10 plan, but I was incorrectly charged twice for the annual fee.

Getting a refund for the duplicate charge proved difficult. The initial manager offered a 5-month membership extension which wouldn't work since I was moving. The new manager seemed helpful at first, but then became dismissive and blamed the previous manager, leaving the issue unresolved.

This billing error and the lack of resolution from management were very disappointing. If you're considering joining this gym, I recommend asking detailed questions about billing practices. Current members should be cautious and double-check their statements.

I went in to cancel my membership and the beginning of April after over a year of not going in and that was my bad for not going in and canceling sooner, but I had a rough pregnancy and a rough birth, and my baby was in the hospital for a long time so I couldn’t go in and so I finally went into cancel it, after I had sent two emails the month before asking for help on how to cancel because it was difficult for me to go in with the baby and I got no response both times, and I was asking to make sure that I wasn’t gonna be charged for that month because I literally hadn’t been in in forever And they told me I was gonna be charged for that because it was so close to the date. I let it slide. They told me it was all set. This was about April 14 now it is the end of May and I just checked my bank statement and I got charged again. I just called about it and the lady said she couldn’t help me because it wasn’t canceled and can’t prove that I came in to cancel, This place makes it impossible to cancel. I’m already paying for another gym membership elsewhere. I can’t keep paying for this. It better be done now. Beware if you ever need to cancel, they make it impossible!

I used to come here everyday of the week. I always liked this one the best and I think it is still good. However, this one the dartmouth one, and the fall river one all have broken showers in the mens locker room and its been that way for a while. Today only one shower out 3 were working. I went to the Wareham planet fitness They had nice stalls with seats to sit down and their showers were clean and hot and not broken. I don't understand what's going on in this area why the showers are all broken or cold. But please fix them. I've considered switching.

Was not impressed by this location at all. I came here today at 3:30 was greeted by one person while the rest of the employees were talking amongst themselves. I had a free day pass and told them it was my first time here and nobody offered me any guidance or a tour of the place. As I was leaving I was not even spoken to. I wanted to check out the gyms in the area I just recently moved to. This one is not it. The other reviews were very accurate about there being no hospitality. Potential wasted. Anyone looking for a better gym the one in East Wareham is so much nicer and welcoming.

I used to go here with my husband just after COVID let up. We them took a break for medical reasons. We are Seniors. Now that we've come back we are so unhappy with the workers behind the desk. They are rude and let you know they truly do not care if you ever come in again. There is no customer satisfaction or caring to try to keep the customer. I wrote a review about a week ago, Someone representing PF wrote back on here right away that they were sorry to hear about it, I should let the management know. The problem is, I did let the management know and they are who I had the problem with! At the end of their "rebuttal", they left no way of contacting them directly. No e-mail, address or phone #. Truth is they( the employees) are probably not taught they need to appreciate or be courteous to customers or they'll lose their job. . It's very difficult to get employees ( especially if underpaying them) . Today.. at planet fitness ,the employee wins. THEY are the ones cared about. NOT the CUSTOMERS. Such a shame.

Planet Fitness, in Fairhaven is very clean, in part due to respectful clientele who wipe machines down when they are finished. I receive no unrequested advice. Their is no push to upgrade my membership, or questions about my "experience so far ".
Young & Older, Fit and less so, are represented. And the encouraging eye candy is nice too.

Usually don’t have an issue I come work out and mind my business. Staff don’t enforce people to clean machines. Honestly staff is useless the gym would be the same without them they don’t refill tissue to clean machines. Have favorite customers they don’t bother asking to check in. Kicked me and my daughter out for wearing crocs but been wearing crocs for years and see people here wearing slides and even socks while using weights and we were not using weights I think Sam just pick on my daughter cus she is black because as long as I’ve been coming here never said nothing about it and looked at the policy and said nothing about crocs !

No one bothers you everyone is kind and respectful. It's clean and spacey. It's doesn't have many free weights but that's ok. I feel alot of people there are positive and give encouragement for those who struggle. Definitely not a toxic environment. The staff at the location in Fairhaven, MA are chill. They constantly keep the gym clean. Overall, the gym can get packed after 4pm when everyone usually gets out of work so I try to get there for 7:30pm when the crowd starts to die down.

My experience at this gym was excellent. I was at first stand off-ish due to the stigma that accompanies planet fitness. After meeting with the manger Nick petit and talking a few mins he told me about all the great things the gym has to offer at a fair price. Nick explained the different levels of membership and sold me on the best one. As it was the most money it was also the lowest yearly fee. Along with the tanning and the hydro Massage chair the value was well above what they wanted. I’ve been lifting almost 17 years and this gym carries everything I need to get the job done. Also I’d like to mention how clean and well maintained the gym is.

Worse place I've dealt with in a long time. Had an issue with membership which I cancelled and was assured I would no longer be charged. After being charged again, I was told by manager (who made the promise) there was nothing he could do and I should have read the contract. No! Contract was explained incorrectly. If you need to make your money off the fine print, you shouldn't be in business. $66 and I've never used facilities. All I was looking for was a lousy $10.

Best gym in the area, and I train at all of them, but this was always my HOME gym, place not only did this place changed my life but it saved my life,heck I went to this place so much they eventually gave me a job there, and if it wasnt for the Covid Pandemic hitting us I would still be working there, but 2020 happened, great gym,best machines and excellent staff, and they have Red Light Therapy! I canceled my membership in December and they decided to start billing me again this month. The facility was unclean the last time I went and with covid I couldn't enter the facility. I had called to cancel and told them I couldn't come in and they told me they canceled over the phone. Clearly not. Im disputing the charges with my bank and will never do business with them again.

OVER CROWDED!!! I live in Fairhaven and this is my "home" gym and i could not be more disappointed in the crowd-meter. There is not enough treadmills/cardio equipment at this location. I went to one of the Fall River locations today and it confirmed it, the Fairhaven location is too small!!!!!! I am beyond disappointed in this locations covid-19 adaptation!

I've gone two times already and I've been to many of the gyms but this gym is awesome I would say it's the best very clean safe environment especially at this time you have to make sure you maintain social distancing and wear a mask the whole time so it is a very safe place to be and every time you get off a machine or get on it you must clean it I like that I like to be a clean person and I don't want to get any germs viruses of sicknesses from touching dirty equipment and on top of that the staff was so friendly and very helpful!

They talk all about cleanliness but they do not follow their own mask policy. Go around 6:30PM and you will see what I’m talking about. Dude in his mid 20s enters without a mask and walks the entire place never wears one. A bunch of young kids walking the place with their masks on their chin. All I want to do is workout and not feel like I’m going to get this virus and give it to my love ones that are high risk. But I have been staying home because the club leaders won’t stand up and tell people they need a mask. I wouldn’t go there at night because no one has respect for each other. It’s getting to the point where someone needs to call the board of health on this zoo. At least check temps at the desk, do something. Were in the red and this isn’t helping anything

This location is great. The staff are always available, friendly and helpful. They have the hydro- massage beds and massage chairs. Their tanning beds and gym equipment are always in great condition and well taken care of. The facilities are clean, provide privacy and safe for showering/ changing. They have wifi, and provide t.v entertainment in workout areas. They have stretching areas, mats for yoga and floor exercise and an area that has equipment for people who need to keep up with physical therapy routines or have prior injuries. Best of all they keep the temperature comfortable and the drinks nice and cold!
