Worse planet fitness in the geographic area. The membership is far too large for the space or the number of machines available to consumers. During busy periods, in the morning and after work, it is not unusual to have to wait to us a cardio machine. Machines are too often out of order. I suspect the owners are making super profits due to the limited footprint, which determines the rent, as measured against the number of guests using the facility at any one time which causes the facility to be overcrowded.

And this "Judgement free zone " propaganda ummm there is a loud "lunk" alarm which goes off if you are too loud or drop weights... :/ smh . That is judging people whom want to grow beyond the "stay quiet and do as your told" concept.

Update: near impossible to stop membership during covid, very rude people then working. Will never use again because of their political bias as a company.
In the beginning; Few minor things that could be improved with equipment but otherwise it’s a great place to workout at. Staff is helpful. Really wish they had longer hours though!!! Just tried both massage chairs this week and loved it.

I have a complaint. I've been training at this gym for 9 months. I've always been treated well. I've never had any complaints about the staff. However, there's a new employee I have complaints about. I was doing squats without my sneakers (on my personal trainer's recommendation, so as not to hurt my back). She came over arrogantly and told me to put my shoes back on. In the 9 months I've been going to this gym, no one has ever called me out. I know the rules say you can't walk around the gym barefoot, but I don't walk around the gym. I just do my squats and put my shoes back on immediately. I don't do any other exercises without shoes. I understand that she might be concerned about safety, but countless people wear sandals and socks to the gym. What kind of safety is that? I take my shoes off precisely for the safety of my back. I see so many people doing things that really should be called out, and they don't. Meanwhile, she called me out when I was just trying to perform my exercises as instructed.

Tiny tiny location. They have a very small area for stretching/abs but it’s over run with additional equipment such as leg machines and barbells and dumbbells. You are literally on the person next to you. Saw one person doing lateral raises and another person laying down under them. If someone had dropped that weight it could’ve gone very wrong.

Have to wait for almost everything because they don’t multiple pieces of the same machines. Cables were constantly In use.
Massage chairs are old looking and very basic (not like other PFs we’ve been to).

Also, was told no trainer at this location and they do not have small group classes like other locations.
Given the size town it’s located, should be double the size.

This gym is getting worse rather improving. They made free for teens for summer now you cant even find equipment to train. They just dont care that it is too small and dont have capacity for that promotion. Also, they took out unilateral stretching mat and replaced it with tiny individual mats that you cant fit. Even though Mashpee Planet Fitness is far for me seems like it is the place to go from now on.

I have been working out at Planet Fitness for years and across multiple locations. They have always treated me well. If you are looking for a high end club loaded with pools, steam rooms, sauna, raquetball courts, etc....this is NOT it. However, if you want a mostly basic place to work out that is well maintained, clean, friendly and affordable, Planet Fitness is hard to beat.

I use the PF club in Falmouth and the PF club on Newbury Street in Boston. (I travel frequently between residences in East Falmouth and the West End of Boston.) Both clubs are a very good experience! The equipment and facilities are up-to-date and pretty comprehensive. Both sometimes have bottlenecks around a few selected machines and many machines that are less overloaded, but my exercise card is long enough so I can bypass and come back to a machine that I skipped. The overall process works well and the staff in both locations are fastidious and friendly. They keep the places clean and have a nice word for you as you walk by. There are plenty of lockers in both locations too. And showers look far better than the more gritty ones I've seen in clubs charging far more than PF does

A really great and convenient gym. It's not the biggest, but it's great for me! Plenty of aerobic equipment - bikes, treadmills, rowing, stairs, etc. Plenty of free weights and machines. Early morning staff is friendly and always says hello. Clean bathrooms and facility. No rooms for trainer led classes in this location.

This is actually my favorite PF so far that isn't my home gym. I did detour in Wareham on the way back from the Cape. Wareham has an average or median age of 50 years old. This place has cool people of all ranges and becomes a more happening hub spot and sorta sanctuary city for young people as the after hours progress from 5pm through after work and dinner prime time. I didn't see any kettlebells though they might have been hidden somewhere.

Sign up is difficult and shady. I went in to work out. I already had a guest account from working out with my buddy in Naples. They wanted me to start a new guest account, they wanted my all personal information, credit card and bank routing numbers?!

Sorry, but in these days of companies getting hacked. I don’t feel like a need to share that amount of information. When I was talking to the manager, I remembered that I belonged to planet fitness before and cancelling the automatic withdrawal on my bank account was designed to be impossible.

I had to cancel my membership recently due to an incident regarding a male member who sleeps around the gym on every occasion he is there...I have brought this to mngts attention 3 times in 6 months stating how inappropriate and unprofessional it is..Planet Fitness is not his bdrm it's a place of business the members should feel comfortable to go into the black card area and not see someone sleeping on the couch with no shoes on and sitting gym equipment ..my shock with all of this was when the fitness instructor straight faced asked me
"What about that bothered me? " So, it only took me 2 days to go over her response again in my head to then decide I could not be a member at a facility that has someone like her running the place Simply Unacceptable!

Complained about guests arriving 30 minutes before close. Considering some people don’t get out from work and ready until 7:30 that window is still open. For a judgment free zone it’s very unprofessional to talk amongst each other as well as with other male guests about females guests. I thought if you have a planet fitness membership you’re allowed to work out at any PF facility, but I overheard that we weren’t “regulars and shame on us,” yet we left the same exact time that your male guests did that you were complaining about us to.

It is truly unfortunate that I am left with no other option than to leave a 1 start review. I enjoyed my time at Planet Fitness, but I moved out of state and now they refuse to let me cancel my account. I have called multiple times. I am following COVID protocols (whether you believe in them or not is irrelevant), and cannot get a wet signature to cancel my account. They continue to bill me even thought they know I am no longer able to attend the gym. Terrible customer service. When I return to Maine, I will not be back. I would rather drive the extra time to YMCA Falmouth where they are reasonable.

I love this gym and the staff is friendly. I normally don’t write reviews but I feel compelled to write this one considering my concern with the well-being of the members that work out in this gym. I have witnessed way too often members in the lifting weights areas, breathing heavily and not wearing a mask at all. Considering that this gym is small and we are in an enclosed space, I feel concerned. Perhaps the staff should enforce the use of masks while lifting weights since they are breathing heavily while doing it. Currently I don’t see any concern with the gym staff.

I'd like to give a shout-out to the trainer at Planet Fitness in Falmouth, MA -- Renee. I walked in as a total beginner (age 61) and primarily joined to address some health problems I have -- doctor's suggestion. I made an appointment with the resident trainer (Renee) to get a personalized exercise program (offered free with membership) because I had no idea how to get started or how to use the equipment without worsening my recurring back and hip pain. Renee designed a program for me that took my health issues into consideration but was still challenging enough to make a difference. She also took time to demonstrate how to do each exercise & machine correctly for maximum benefit without injuries. As it turns out, the program is just right for me -- hard enough to cause a light sweat but still gentle enough to avoid getting hurt. Recently I asked Renee for a second exercise program. Now I switch back and forth between the two routines week by week to get a better workout and avoid boredom. I highly recommend Planet Fitness--Falmouth and their resident trainer, Renee. She is excellent at her job.

I have no issues with the staff. I feel that they are always pleasant and helpful when needed. Environment always feels inviting and upbeat. If you think its unpleasant here then give Wareham a shot. Much bigger, but not inviting, nor is it clean by any means. I have not experienced any extra charges, but will be sure to keep an eye out. My only complaints are that there is not enough room for stretching and so many people don’t wipe down equipment after use. A lot of times I can’t get onto mat in the back. It can also be a little tight in the gym sometimes, as it’s a little on the small side.
