I absolutely love this gym, especially now that new girl Rhianna has been working there. She lights up the place every time she walks in, and you can tell how much of a people person she really is. All the members feel so comfortable with and gravitate towards her.
I was feeling a little hesitant and self-conscious when I first started my weight loss journey, but the Holyoke staff and especially Rhianna as well, have done a great job encouraging me and keeping me motivated! Definitely couldnโt have done it alone! ๐

I like the gym and it's very clean but they really need to do something about the showers in the women's locker room. There is no monitoring the temperature of the water in the showers.You turn on the faucet and you automatically get scalded unless somebody else is in another shower at the same time. That is the one and only time that you can control the temperature. I should not come out of a shower beat red because I can't even control the temperature to make it colder. I've been told three times that this has been looked at and the temperature has been up to code by a plumber. Well unless that plumber wants to be scalded because I'm not the only one who has complained about this.

There was a Mall gun shooting today(7/25/25) at Holyoke Mall. Where shots were fired, Planet fitness Staff during the incident was very rapid in responding with the shooting. Making sure everybody is safe! Following standard protocol while law enforcement operate in the hot zone. Thanks to the PF staff who offered us a ride to safely evacuate us away from the scene since our car keys were locked up in the locker room. Kudos! and I(we) appreciate all the things youโve done to keep everybody safe before anything else!

It was clean, staff was professional ,minimal "lunks" at the weights. Good selection of equipment. 5-7 is busy but you can get your workout in plan options.
Watch the late fee after you give your credit account info. Is my only complaint.

Itโs a very bright happy place. Itโs really nice because thereโs an entrance outside of the mall itself, itโs a very clean. They have some free weights elliptical machines. What else do you need and a place to do crunches. The showers are clean. Locker rooms are clean to see as a steam room. But thatโs a 6 foot six man with arthritis.

I've been going here a few years now. The staff are professional and helpful. There is plenty of cardio equipment and lots of variety. We recently got 2 new pieces of equipment, 1 for legs and 1 for chest. The leg machine was one I was hoping for so I was very excited about this. Also this location is very clean.
We could use more incline benches. They fill up fast. But aside from that I highly recommend this location.

The gym is alright maybe would want a smith machine that goes straight up and down and not all tilted but other then that got a lot of equipments. The personal trainer there is really super knowledgeable and knows what he is talking about. Highly recommend anyone this personal trainer due to how well he explains and fixes forms and teaches compared to some other planet fitness Iโve been too.

My fiancรฉ got a black card membership this January 2024. They "bait and switched" us, when we were signing up in January they told us he could sign up and I could go as a guest with him to all areas of the gym as long as I am with him. We went several times in January to the massage chairs and hydromassage chairs.
Today, it was my fiancรฉs birthday and they didn't let us go together because I am his guest. This wasn't explained when he first signed up. I own a business and I do not believe in bait and switch tactics that get people to sign up, pay the annual membership fee, be explained that you can use all parts of the gym with you and your guest, and then be told no you can't.
My fiancรฉ wanted to go for his birthday to relax a little, and we couldn't go together so he said no, disappointedly. We will be speaking with a manager on Monday. Completely unacceptable.

Good gym. Lots of equipment. Locker rooms and trainer available. Black card members get use of massage chairs, tanning beds and hydro massage tables. I've been going to the one in Chicopee for over 5 years but lately some of the day staff there have become very rude, judgemental and no help with basic questions. The current Chicopee trainer is rude and was condescending to me when I asked for a session and help. He and the female worker with him were basically clowning on me which was very hurtful. He said if he found time he would try to help me but never did and I see him constantly standing around doing nothing unless you are a hot girl then he jumps to help. Very disappointed because the previous trainer helped me lose over 60 pounds and was very kind and helpful. I tried this location to see how it was and was very impressed.

Joined yesterday and demanded a refund today. This gym allows a "regular" to hang around, apparently drunk, harassing women and telling the vilest, filthiest, most hate-filled "jokes" about minorities. I was shocked, horrified, and literally sick at what I was hearing. I spoke to the staff, who basically shrugged and then allowed him to leave without a word. The women being harassed said it goes on every day with that man, and they just ignore it. I refused to ignore it, and demanded my money back ($200 for a pre-paid year). I should have believed the reviews. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!

Iโve been to dozens of planet fitnesses and this is by far the cleanest and well maintained location. It is newer so that helps. Equipment is usually in good working order. Plus it has a standalone dual cable machine which not many have. Bathrooms have automatic toilets and sinks, and usually no foul odors.

The staff always greets me with a smile and is friendly and helpful. I have been very impressed by the cleanliness of the gym. I often see employees cleaning the machines, floors and refilling the disinfectant spray bottles. I fell comfortable working out especially during this scary pandemic.
I love the variety of machines and the fact that there are numerous machines alike so there is very little waiting.

I am a hard-core work out veteran. I love the staff here and they are very helpful!! I needed assistance with a hydro massage ( best thing in the world) and they immediately assisted me and not in a omg I gotta help more like a " no problem, let's see what we can do " typeof attitude. Very positive for my type of energy. I love working out with good staff vibes and three of the staff that I have met so far two women ( one being the manager) and a male with dreads great people!!!

I canceled my membership in person with my husband in January. They were still charging me but not him. They refuse to give me back my money despite me signing the cancellation form that I did not get a copy of. I havenโt been there since feb 2000. It was their screw up but refuse to reimburse me.
