Old, outdated equipment that goes out of order with regularity. Absolutely repulsive locker rooms, wouldn’t shower in there if you paid me. Have to wait for equipment every visit, and I usually go at the least busy time. Staff is friendly and keeps equipment clean, but that’s not enough to warrant any additional stars here. Have been to many PF locations, this one is near the bottom for sure.

Been going here for 6 months. The gym is what it is, the men’s locker room is consistently disgusting. There are liquids stuck to the shower walls that are there visit after visit, the handicapped shower is the smallest one of the showers and the bench in it is mildew and gross. The changing room is equipped with a broken folding chair and stickers that have been on the walls for months. There is a piece of scotch tape that is eye height, half stuck, for weeks. Dudes are gross, I get it, but more and extra effort needs to be put into cleanliness. It doesn’t matter if it when the place opens or closes, these issues are there. This is not a staffing issue, or revenue ($172 million in 2024) this is a management issue and a lack of pride that has trickled down to employees. Also there has been a dead fly stuck to the changing room wall for at least 30 days. Fix this and start caring, period.

Regarding the planet fitness reply:
I don’t work for you, I’m a customer, you need to contact the manager and tell them to clean the place. Your canned response is a disappointment at best.

Gym area was laid out oddly but was fairly clean. The issue is the showers and locker rooms which were filthy. Used q-tips littered the floor and the shower curtains and walls were full of mold and mildew

Good gym. Friendly staff, Clean air that's not too dry. I have asthma so that's important to me. Good price aside from the random annual fee but I'm used to it. I wish they had heavier kettlebells, I can lift 45 lbs and it seems they end in 30 lbs. It's too light. Overall chill gym.

I wanted to add a comment about the staff at this Gym, they are attentive and really make a commitment to making members feel appreciated and listened too. One of the young men working commented " I do my best", and from what I see he absolutely does. This is a franchise Gym it's not a business that he will have stock in his entire life, at least in theory. His hard work and dedication has not gone un-noticed at least by me. Thank you.

Deceptive business practices !

0 stars if I could! Cancelled my membership and was told specifically in person that I would not be charged another month of fees and I get my email confirmation later that day after leaving and surprise surprise I am getting charged another month. I called to speak to the person and ask for a manager and no one would admit it was them and “that person” misspoke. Gym is dirty and smells, cleaning is not enforced and I would not return regardless of being charged another month, not setting another foot in it.

The staff is awful here. They do not correct members who talk on their phones in the workout area. They do not refill the paper towels. Many times, I let the staff know, and the interaction is as follows. Three staff members standing at the counter chatting, throwing paper balls into the trash, and staring at their phones. I mention that there are no paper towels in one or two dispensors, and they stare at me like a holographic.

With an influx of new members, the gym is often crowded, and the staff will not train or teach new members proper gym edic. Weights left all over, never out back in the same location, no wiping off of used equipment, the buildings roof is always leaking which the staff then responds with further public safety hazards by putting unmarked buckets on the wet floors around the gym.

People slamming weights and no staff say anything.

Laziest generation I have seen, and no accountability. Shameful that management can not train their staff or hold members accountable for misusing the gym space that other members pay to use.

This place is poorly managed and the employees might as well not even be there. Employees are always talking or on there phone behind the counter. Bathrooms are absolutely foul and i doubt they get cleaned on a even a weekly basis. You are much better off driving to gardner location as the employees there are friendly and the location is always kept spotless!

I love this gym, so much to do to keep yourself in shape. Love the renovations but still not happy with the 30 minute work out area. Love to do this workout but not possible to do alone. Some of the machines do not face the start and stop light so you don't know when to begin and stop. Was hoping this would have changed by turning macinnes.

Great gym. Gets busy, but plenty of machines. Biggest problem is the hours of operation. Before COVID they were open 24/7. Now they close at 11 on weekdays which is okay, but close at 7 on weekends which is an embarrassment to the industry. I realize that it’s a corporate decision, but it’s a really horrible one. I’m sure there’s a legitimate business reason for the reduced hours, but I know that myself as well as many others would greatly benefit from returning to the way it was before.

Although I truly enjoy going to this particular gym, I feel they don't do a good, regular job of fixing machines when they are broken. My sense is, the problem is up above and the ownership of this gym, does not allocate the proper workforce that is needed to maintain machines in a more efficient manner. The men's showers are so so... they have had one TV not working for three months or more. The staff itself is great, and are always helpful. They had been 24/5, but they have cut way back in hours.

It's a nice, big gym, but nobody wipes down the equipment here. The machines are right in front of the desk, so it's pretty easy to spot, but the staff doesn't enforce it at all. I don't like sitting in someone else's ball sweat while I work out, so I wipe down twice to compensate for the barbarians.

Disappointed by the appearance within the last few months. Bathrooms/ locker room have been dirty and several workout stations have been out of service. One ab station, and the only one like it on site has been out of services since before Thanksgiving. I inquired recently regarding the equipment and was informed that there are only a few maintenance persons so it would take while. It’s been a couple months! Posting review for visibility in hopes of expediting process. Now that it’s the new year gym has been crowded and would like to be able to have access to more equipment. Hope this helps get the improvements necessary to comply with the quality this gym once had.

It’s amazing how you pay for monthly membership and you can go to two different locations and one is absolutely spotless and set up for success and the other in Leominster you have a lazy staff that hangs behind the counter showers that are absolutely disgusting and not even supplying paper towels and sanitizer in the restrooms. The Townsend location is spot on but Leominster needs to get their act together and start taking care of their members especially when it comes to a clean and safe environment. I made a complaint within the app twice and never received any feedback I am hoping that this review will finally help make the Leominster location a cleaner and customer friendly environment.

Great value for the price. However, Monday morning, 6.26.23, the inside gym was as humid as it was outside. The doors were open letting the humid air inside. The thermostats read 71 degrees with probably just as much humidity. During this humid weather, the doors should at least be closed to not let in the humidity. Several other member I talked to also were concerned with the inside heat. Gyms I've been to have the temperature set in the mid-60s. Please consider the well-being of your members.

Staff is super friendly and they keep it clean. Spaced out well with a good variety of machines to target whatever you are working on any particular day. Locker rooms are spacious and clean with plenty of lockers. I also tan there so the black card is definitely worth it for me. I only wish they had a better set up for stretching instead of combining it with abs and glutes. When ita busy and alot of people are stretching it causes people to need to spread out and can sometimes black or limit access to some of the machines in that room. Overall it's a solid place to workout.

Multiple plumbing issues over the last few months from at least January 2023 to now causing gym closures! There were no credits or refunds for the members that have been inconvenienced multiple times with these closures. They were closed the 2nd to last time I went to work out 2pm on a Saturday and waited till 5pm that Saturday to send their members a communication email about their closure.Last time I tried to get a workout in was a Sunday around 11am and the staff walked around letting everyone know they had to close again due to the bathroom and plumbing issues.. No emails or communication to members about that closure. Extremely poor customer service. I canceled my membership due to these recent issues before the next billing cycle, and they are still trying to charge me for another month.

I have been going to this gym for a while but today i didnt know someones keys were in a locker and I had my lock cut by an employee but there was no note left notifying me so i thought someone stole my stuff and i was having a complete heart attack. I understand that i was fault because i should have looked better to see the key, but i had to pay for $5 to get a new lock. I am just nervous to use the lockers again cause i dont want this issue to happen again. However according to your policy on the wall it says that you guys arent responsible for any lost items in the lockers so thats why i was confused why this happened. In the future i will be more aware, ill leave my phone number on my new lock so you guys can call me if there are any issues. All i wish was that there was a note left to notify me cause i wouldnt have known unless i spoke to one of the employees
