We have a black card membership and it’s under my husbands name. I went to use the hydra bed and was told by the staff that I cannot use it. Only my husband can use it. All other planet fitness gym lets me use it. It’s my first and last time coming to this gym.

I love the convenience and the hours a most of the planet fitness locations but I've been giving a perfectly honest review this one is very uncomfortable with a lot of non-english-speaking people talking about you as you work out this includes stuff as well as other people exercising I'm not sure I will return to this location I probably will go to the next one down the line. Privacy and respect for fellow gym members is important to me. And I know there was at least two guys videoing women on the treadmills

I signed up about a month ago and I planned on just getting a single membership but I was told that if I became a black card member, I could bring a guest for free and we would have access to tanning, etc. I just went for the second time with my husband and I was told by the blonde mgr?, that he couldn’t go tanning and it was only for the card member. She was very rude. The first time I went and asked, very politely if I could tan and she abruptly told me to sign the paper for tanning. I followed her instructions, she never showed me how to use it or anything. I had a bad feeling after my first interaction with her and after today, I don’t want to go back.
She literally asked me if I wanted to cancel my membership. If she’s a manager there, it’s a problem for me if this is how she treats members, especially new ones.

Love that I can see when it’s busy. I really like the gym set up and certain machines they have that help me get my work out in. But the best part is the massage chair and hydro bed after a work out feels amazing, just what I need after a work out.

The gym is well equipped but not well maintained. There are only 4 stair master machines, one of which has been out of service for well over a year now. Another has been out of service for over a week leaving just 2 available. This is a very popular machine and there are many times I come in and have to wait 20-30 minutes until one becomes available, or I have to leave without working out at all because I have limited time to spend at the gym. I’ve inquired if they plan on replacing the broken machine, upgrading the machines (they are an older model with less capabilities), or adding more of them and removing one or two of the 30+ treadmills to accommodate. I was told they are waiting until they do a remodel in TWO YEARS. The current situation is not sustainable for that long for those who are coming in looking to use this particular machine. It is absolutely ridiculous and shows whoever is running this location has very little care for their customers or the maintenance of the gym. The location is convenient, but due to the lack of care from those who are in charge, I’m considering changing my home gym and driving the extra 15-20 minutes to the Taunton location where they have 8-10 upgraded stair machines that run smoothly, plus have higher speed and calorie counting capabilities.

After visiting a few locations this one seems to be the worst. The machines are old, outdated, and poorly maintained. Half the TV's and paper towel dispensers are broken. They're lunatics flexing and grunting in the mirror. If suggest trying a different location if you can.

The gym has just about everything you need regarding weights, cables and machines. My reason for 3 stars is in regard to the cardio equipment and stretching zone. I understand space is a luxury when it comes to the gym the stretching zone is a pretty small area especially at peak hours. I’ve been to a few other locations and they offer a stretching cage which is a pretty nice perk to have. I would also like to mention that there could be more variety in the cardio equipment. I’ve noticed at larger locations there are row machines as well as a few hand cardio machines.

If there is one thing you fix please, please, pleasseeee fix the stairmaster machines or at least put a time limit on machine use until
they are fixed. There are only four machines for stairmaster and two of them are currently not in service… one has been out of service for well over a month. It’s my preferred form or cardio while I workout and it sucks when someone is on it for 45 minutes plus during peak hours and you can’t even get a spot on it. Maybe subtract a couple elliptical or treadmills and invest in some other options? I think some row machines would be very much well received and at least double the amount of functioning stairmaster machines.

I will gladly update my review if these are taken into consideration by the ownership and addressed within the next few months.

The guy Riley who works their is super rude and unprofessional. Refuses to let you use the massage beds. Is extremely childish. He's the only one working and was in a back room while leaving myself and another guest sit there for over 5 minutes and then refused to allow her to use the tanning bed or me the massage bed. Everyone else that works there is extremely pleasant and polite. Every time he's there it's some sort of issue or ignorance.

Update I came in tonight to be hassled about adding a back up card I do not have nor do I need to provide. After explaining I don't have one everything is the same the woman working explained she'd be canceling my account. I am not asking her to do so or giving permission. My membership fee was withdrawn today giving me 30 days of membership and access to the massage chairs. I've been denied that privilege yet again and she's gone as far as freezing my account so I can not use it. This location is absolutely ridiculous and the staff are even worse. Since when do I pay $25 a month to not have access to everything everyday. The staff seem to pick and choose who they would like to be able to use the membership the customer pays for.

I have been a member of the Middleboro Planet Fitness since 2019. Never in my life until today. Did I come across such a rude and incompetent staff. The gym is disgusting. If you go into the tanning rooms they smell and there’s dirty paper towels, all over the floor the front desk staff is the rudest staff I’ve ever had to deal with! My daughter and I went in today to go into Tanning Only to be told that the young boy Riley running the front desk wouldn’t allow us to 10 because we weren’t a full 24 hours from the last time we tanned we were literally 45 minutes short. My response was are you kidding me? I looked at my daughter I said come on. We’ll go somewhere else. As I was walking out the door, I heard Riley mocking me , so I turned around and asked him if he had something to say to me. He started laughing at me and I asked him who his manager was. He pointed to a young girl who was standing next to him. I asked her name she said Sophia as she was laughing in my face. I told him I would never set foot in that gym again that I would be changing my home gym and filing complaint . She threatened to cancel my membership. I went to the taunton location only to find out she did in fact cancel my membership. !!! i’m sorry Sophie that you don’t like it when customers stand up to your rude employees. This is just the first step in many steps that I’m going to take to make sure that neither one of them have a job in customer service ever again.

Not bad for supplemental workouts involving machines or cardio. I have access to heavier dumbbells and Olympic bars at my work so I use this place for machines, cable and cardio stuff. Only real issue and the reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I'm sitting here waiting on a Sunday morning because whoever was supposed to open it is 54 minutes late and counting. Unacceptable.

I used to enjoy this gym. The company decided to let teenagers workout for free at all locations which is nice and all, except for the fact that there is not enough equipment now for the customers who are paying. I have been a member of planet fitness for over 20 years. My first home gym was the location in Plymouth on (101 Craver Road) which was formerly a World Gym. Eventually they moved to 84 Shops at 5 Way, Plymouth, MA 02360 and the commute from Middleboro especially during the summer was very time consuming. When the PF in Middleboro opened, I believe two or three years ago I switched locations as soon as possible, only because of the commute. The staff at both planet Fitness locations in Plymouth have always been very professional but unfortunately, I cannot say that about the Middleboro Planet.
Yesterday, August 14, 2021, During the middle of my work-out a Planet fitness staff member told me that her manager informed her to instruct me to leave the gym immediately. When I asked her what is the problem she said I don’t know, all I can tell you is that you need to leave now and the manager of the Middleboro Planet fitness will call you on Monday. I then asked her for the contact information for the regional planet Fitness Manager, she said she could not find it and proceed to call the Manager of the Middleboro Planet Fitness. While the staff member was speaking to the manager on the phone she was smiling, and I could hear the manager giggling. Very unprofessional.

I am a 69 year old woman Who is wearing a full face shield when walking into planet fitness I was told I had to wear a mask also so I purchased a mask The young lady was worse than Gestapo continued to hound me about keeping the mask over my nose while I'm still wearing a shield I told her I have a difficult time breathing and she continued so I told her call the police she stood dumbfounded didn't know what to do. I finally said let's get this over with and let me tan that's all I am here for. When looking around I see people  Huffing and puffing, Drinking and spewing sweat everywhere. When I get into the tanning area where I can take my mask off I have to clean everything before I can use it and supposedly clean it again after, real sanitation there and yet I am suspended for 2 months  Wearing a full face shield as well as a mask. Is there something wrong with this picture??

I love Planet Fitness in Middleboro. I primarily use the 30 minute express workout room and the massage chair or massage bed if a chair isn't available. I have been going to this gym since just about the time that they have opened the branch near my house and I will be cancelling my membership because the trainers there want to flex their authority and abuse it. They have lost this customer and I will never recommend PF to anyone. They will also lose everyone all of the law enforcement and first responders that go there. Thumbs up PF 👍
