Pretty new to this gym! Nice freindly staff for the most part. Noticing a lot of drug activity lately. You pull in the parking lot and it reaks of marijuana. I was getting changed in the locker room and for the third time could hear somebody sniffing drugs from what it sounded like anyway! I noticed a guy that was clearly under the influence of something! A male staff member entered the locker room and made him aware of the situation he shook his head. I dont understand who would come to the gym to do drugs. Smh! Going to try a different planet fitness.

First visit with my son. The staff when we arrived were nice. We were told they don't offer tours, but one guy explained to my son how to use the app and qr codes for demos. On the way OUT he had to use the restroom. He asked a guy at the front desk with a black shirt and side part where the restroom was. The guy told my son he had to scan his phone. I told the guy we already checked in before he got there and we already worked out my son just wanted to use the bathroom before we left. This guy told me "I need to know who is in MY gym". Isn't that why we check in upon arrival. I sarcastically asked him if we are required to check out to leave.
He told me he's just doing his job and needs to know who is in his gym nothing else. I doubt that.

New member here. This is a great location with tons of machines and treadmills. I haven't had to wait long if at all to use any machine I wanted.

The best part is that this location is open 24hr except on the weekends, they close at 9p.

Maintenance of facility and equipment can be spotty.Not unusual to see the same bottlecaps in the same places on the floor for several days in a row, and cup holders in the treadmills often have overnight trash in them. As I write this, the audio feed from the TVs to the treadmills has been borken for almost 4 weeks despite my reporting it several times.

** About the broken TV audio feed: I have reported it mulitple times over weeks to the front desk (just as you suggest.) So far, that's been an exercise in futility.

NOT a good experience for me. We were in town for Easter and I stopped in. I am a Black Card Member and was having a problem with a piece of equipment and stopped at the front desk twice for help and the bottom line is the manager (I assume because she was wearing a black shirt) was rude. I mean VERY rude. She argued with me, or tried to, when I mentioned the woman at the counter tried to help. The manager was short tempered and offended I couldn't understand why the machine wasn't working as expected. "Every location is different!!" was her explanation as she raised her voice to me. Ummmm not really, I've really noticed consistency at locations I have visited but anyway, she is just not a good representation of what Planet Fitness stands for. By the look of the reviews here, the owners DO care and aspire for good customer service so it's probably just her.

On a positive note, it's a large gym and looked and smelled clean.

Oh and one other note for the owners, every single Planet Fitness I have ever been to greets you as you walk in the door. Just a simple hello or welcome or good morning and that didn't happen here even though there were multiple people behind the counter. A welcome goes a long way to building and sustaining your brand and good customer service. You might want to consider implementing that.

Planet Fitness on Adams St. in Quincy is an amazing facility. The employees are friendly and respectful. This gym is kept so clean and the hours are suitable for all people. The amenities like tanning booths, massage chairs and hydromassage beds are an extra treat. The amount of equipment they offer is phenomenal. You will NOT be sorry if you become a member. Give it a try and I guarantee you return over and over again. I actual look forward to going to the gym.
I recently started working with the personal trainer, Bruno, and he is very knowledgeable & helpful. I’ve been learning quite a lot since I’ve enrolled in several of his classes. I’m repeating myself but it is so nice to walk in to a place of business and ALWAYS are greeted with a smile and respect. Did I mention how clean this facility is kept. Can’t find a single thing to complain about. Nothing!

I have been a member for over three months. I attend the unit every day and some staff do not treat people with politeness and professionalism.

This last time I was called to validate my entry once again after using the QR code. I asked what the problem was and the Coach in the yellow shirt turned the monitor to me and said in a cold and rude manner: Is this you?

Due to a mistake by the employees themselves, they swapped my photo with that of my wife, who is at the unit EVERY DAY.

The company's culture is non-judgmental and encourages sports. These were the characteristics that made me choose PF, but on the contrary, they made me feel like I was cheating and trying to take advantage by using someone else's account without even checking first.

The PF should reduce its marketing spending and invest in staff training.

The woman at the front desk with the locs told me I couldn’t workout there when I have a black card and can go to all locations , she gives correctional officer vibes, no sense of customer service , if you want your day to be spoiled when you’re just trying to better yourself, go here. I went to the Quincy gym yesterday to sign up, but I ended up having a very disappointing experience. The service was terrible from the beginning. The staff seemed completely inexperienced and didn't know how to proceed with the registration process, which caused a lot of confusion.

When I tried to make the payment through the gym's app, I was informed that I would need to provide a credit or debit card and the routing number. I asked if I could use a credit card from an account other than my bank account for the routing number, and they told me that was fine, since they only needed two forms of payment. However, after several attempts and even asking for help, the staff showed no willingness to resolve the issue. They were unwilling to help, which made the situation even more frustrating.

In the end, I was not able to sign up right away. I was only able to complete the registration at home, but I had to use the debit card and routing number from the same account, as I should have from the beginning.

Due to all the confusion and the completely unsatisfactory service, I decided to enroll in another gym. I would not recommend the Quincy gym to anyone looking for quality service and efficient customer service.

I used to be a black card member and my boyfriend still is. I loved the massage machines before I got a triple disc replacement in my neck last year..

One day I had to use the bathroom very badly because I needed surgery to remove something pressing on my bladder.

I was refused entry to just use the bathroom because my boyfriend went into a tanning booth too quickly to say I was with him and the staff insisted on looking up my account and ignorantly told me my account was cancelled so I couldn't use the bathroom.

This person got such a bad attitude they turned their computer screen around to show me my account was cancelled.. Seriously, I knew my account was cancelled. I cancelled it mostly because the staff are so rude!! I even spoke with the manager on duty who just backed up the rude employee saying I wasn't allowed to use the restroom without an active membership.

I left in horrible pain without being allowed to simply use the bathroom. I'll never return to this location ever again.

Staff was rude by not allowing me to bring in my front bicycle wheel. I expressed to them the front wheel had already been stolen when my bicycle was locked in the back of the planet fitness at 500 Neponset Ave. I had a police report filed and already had to replace it. The staff here have no humanity they want to discredit showing sympathy with corporate policies. My front bicycle wheel is in the staff closet not obstructing anything

At first I was a bit skeptical, because of the low prices. However, I came to like this gym. It’s big with multiple sections for dumbbells, smith machines, pull up bars, cardio machines, and an area for lighter dumbbells and mattresses. It’s also open 24 hours a few days per week. But note that it will get crowded and most times you have to wait for most of the dumbbells and sometimes even the pull-up bars. It is also not the place for serious lifters as the weights do not go up that high and there are no free barbells.

For a place advertised as a "no judgement zone" I was surprised to find Fox News plastered all over the gym. I just come here to workout, so I carried on and just turned the TV off when particularly hateful segments were on in front of me. The other day when I did this two other people started screaming insults at me. The staff didn't address the screaming but reiterated that the only people who could adjust the TVs were corporate; even they are not allowed to turn off/change the channel on hateful content. Planet Fitness advertises itself as a no-judgement gym, not sure why bigoted politics (or any news/politics at all) need to be blasted all over the gym.

The woman helping me sign up explained that as part of some “special offer,” I would be exempt from any cancellation or buyout fees at any point, despite the fact that both the contract and the Planet Fitness website said otherwise. I signed up according to this “special offer” anyways, and sure enough, it was nonexistent. When I cancelled my membership three months later in favor of a better gym, I had to incur the $58 buyout fee. My name’s Mike Depaolo I have been a member for nine years. I’m located centrally, between Quincy and Hingham I use it 5 to 6 days a week., in Quincy. Everybody is there to train use the machines work out and go home,.when I go to Hingham it’s more of a social thing for me. But on Friday I lost my earbud. Even though I’ve never, ever walked into a Planet Fitness I didn’t love, the one in Quincy deserves special recognition for how awesome and amazing the staff is! They really do go above and beyond for us gym rats and if they happen to read this review, they will know why I’m writing it ❤️❤️

In addition, this location recently invested in all new treadmills, a new weight rack/more dumbbells for the “abs” room, and three new rowing machines, which is literally the most effective machine for combo cardio-strength training.

Finally, the protein shakes are always stocked, the paper towels and spray cleaner are always aplenty, and the bathrooms are the only selfie-free zone 😎😜

Coming from the nearby inner city location as a member for years, this Planet Fitness near Quincy Center is certainly a fresh start where its facility is immaculate with most machines & equipment fully functional & needing no maintenance. The staff is friendly & professional as well as the members who are respectful & considerate. Really love how spread out & big this location is, which feels less stuffy with good air circulation throughout all the cardio & strength training areas.

With the recent upgrades & additional machines to the facility as of early October 2023, even more awesome!
