I like that this gym attracts men, women, and people of all different racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. at $15/month for basic membership, this gym seems to be the least expensive one around.
I especially appreciate the rowing machine and the stretching cage upstairs in addition to the strength machines that I use - including new machines for bench press and hack squat . Often friendly staff at the front desk. Would be nice to have a water refill station, have put in requests.

Depending on the time it's great! When you can get to the equipment you want it's very convenient. Besides that, no bottle filling station, just a water fountain. Front desk area usually smells like urine (just this location). I've been to a few Planet Fitness in a few states now. I've never seen so many naked old men in the locker room then I have in this location as well. All in all that's not stopping me from coming back so yeah 😂

I usually use a rowing machine because it's a good full body workout. I went to this PF because it was located near another stop that I needed to make, but not my normal gym. They only had 2 rowing machines and 1 wasn't working. You get what you pay for.

The staff is very friendly and the equipment for the most part is functional and easy to modify for my purposes. The manager helped me update my account and now I plan to resume a healthy regimen close to home. So glad that Planet Fitness Waltham made it through the pandemic!

I have been a black Card member with planet fitness for years and I have been going to the Waltham location for about 90 days now and I am sad to say that it’s very disappointing to see and hear inappropriate conversations by one specific employee, I believe her name is Dina. She is consistently speaking loudly about politics etc. I’ve never seen her cleaning. I always see the other young men scrubbing the machines and the floors, etc., and I’ve given it quite some time to see if maybe it was an off day or something to that effect unfortunately, it’s been that way every time I have gone in for my workout. She’s typically there early in the morning I’ve actually had to coordinate my workout to purposely avoid her as it’s just a complete interruption to what I’m going there to accomplish. There is a young man there I believe his name is Jorge Who has been delightful, always explaining how the machines work and extremely informative with any questions or concerns I may have. I’ve never seen him not cleaning or scrubbing, or climbing machines to get in and out of the cracks and crevices that are difficult to reach. Within the time that I’ve given this particular location it’s sad to say that I’ve seen a minimum of three managers come and go. It’s pleasant when you have the same faces and same camaraderie when you are working on a regiment and try to keep a steady consistent flow. If it was not for this woman, Dina, who’s very loudmouthed, very inappropriate and quite frankly simply lazy. I would have to say it would be a five star review. And I will be sharing this with other members Within my office building as well as my community.

For the money planet fitness is absolutely the best without any doubt. It's not the best gym, that's not what I'm saying. But for what you get for your money you cannot beat it! This company is a scam. I cancelled my membership 3-11-2025. They told me that I gonna be charged 3-17-2025 for last time. I asked why? They told me there is a fee for the cancellation and the we are in March.
I told them we are in March but I am canceling my membership before march 17th. It shouldn’t be charged for me. They told me there is charge.

Planet Fitness Waltham is a great local gym. I have been going there for 20 years. The staff are very friendly and they have been making some nice upgrades (newer equipment and machines, updated televisions) that really make the value unbeatable. Nice club that should satisfy all your workout needs if you are on a budget. They have a lot of machines and options for different types of workouts, and in most cases the gym isn't too crowded. The staff is very helpful and responsive to questions--Alpha is by far the friendliest person I've ever met at an athletic club. My only complaints are the free weight section can get a little crowded during peak use times, and the locker room only has one stall.

Needs to be updated. Just start over. Small gym. Only 2 stalls in women's room. See thru shower doors. Old machines. Lifting and weight machines too close together. Dirty floor, old shipped paint rusted equipment. Chalky dirty walls. "relaxation room" is open with no closed roof or door. So much for relaxation. This has got to be the worst gym I have ever been too. For the money I spend every year I expect more.

I gave up on going to this location in Porter Square.

The gym had 2 broken step mills for months, I ended up going to the Waltham location instead! More room to work out and the staff seems to care a bit more. Cambridge is like a teenage party when you walk in, people sitting on the front desk and on their phones, not to mention the broken lockers, doors have fallen off, all the doors needed was to be tightened and now they are all falling off.

After months of 2 broken stepmills, they were fixed just in time for my fairwell workout when I went 8n to cancel my membership...

I used to really like this location 3 years ago. Things change
