On 08/10/2025 at approximately 01:40 PM I was standing next to a machine I had full intent to use when another member came from across the room and plopped their stuff down without acknowledging me. I addressed this respectfully before she took a seat and said to her that I'm getting on this for just one set. Her response was that I can do it when she is done. I addressed this poor social behavior, and I was told I was making a big deal about it. I attempted to follow protocol by asking staff to address this behavior, this staff in turn enlisted a manager. Some other member (who did not witness the exchange) then started being verbally abusive by telling the staff that if I was a mature adult I would have just used another machine. The manager backed them up and said that since I wasn't using it yet, she can go ahead and use it. This contraindicates basic gym etiquette as well as principles of first come first serve, communication, intent, and quite frankly, simple respect. Anytime I have ever seen someone that close to a machine I always ask if they have intent to use it. I called the manager after leaving the gym to have an objective conversation and was told waiting for a machine is an expectation, and she was also a female, as if that meant I have to wait longer to use machines if any female approaches? To all prospective members - be wary as basic gym etiquette doesn't seem to be a thing, and expecting respect seems to get you gaslit. This is very concerning that this kind of behavior goes unchecked this day and age. Both members were very inappropriate, disrespectful, and were not held accountable by staff who presented as wanting to curry favor with females. What should also be considered is that when I called another planet fitness and explained the situation to them, the staff said they would have told the other member to be more considerate. So, clearly, this toxic culture is a West Springfield problem.

Clean & friendly workout environment. Everyone just kinda keeps to themselves. I like no small talk at 5am for me. Also, they take the SilverSneakers program thru my insurance, which is a plus. I like that the equipment isn't on top of each other. You have space to move around. It definitely doesn't get unbearable crowded.

Great gym overall, but it seems every week at least 3x weekly there is no hot water to shower. Please find a good plumber or something. When you sweat after a workout a nice hot shower always feels great. Update 3 days later and still no hot water! This is ridiculous, obviously the management doesn't seem to care unless this place is going out of business? Next year I'm definitely going somewhere else as I come from work to work out and like to take a shower after a sweaty workout, but not here as I've told them every single time. I give up as the management doesn't care, so I'm going to have to write corporate and ask them for a refund or reduced rate. After all showers are included last I looked.

I came into planet fitness on today as I always do I only do 3 things maybe when I'm there i have a black card membership when I walked to the desk, I asked a young man, could he cut on the hydro bed for me and could he let it run twice So I would not have to walk back to the front to tell him to turn it on again for me, he said, okay, looking towards the other young lady to see was it all right to do so Because I was asking i guess i am not to ask questions but he said, yes, I can do that. Just sit there, wait for it to cool down and I'll restart it. I said, fine, okay, no problem. So I go back to the back in a very good mood, and when I entered I got on the bed no one was in the room with me but me I was on number 1. Two others came in shortly after One got on 2 and the other got on 3, so now it was full, Mine's had finished. And I was sitting there waiting for him to start it again as i was told When another customer entered when she entered the lady asked her who had finished Oh, were you on 2 or 3? Because she was standing cleaning hers off and she said, one with a frown on her face i because I was still on it I said, oh, I'm sorry. I said you want me to clean it for you. And she act like she didn't understand English but she nodded for me not to clean it, and she laid down and and continue to press the button it didn't work I asked her, would she like me to tell them at the front to restart it for her? But she had a little frown on her face, so I just went and ask if he can start another bed for me. And I also explained to him what was going on? I did not see the lady at the front desk. I did not see her again when I went back into the room. I was in the room by myself again. I notice a older gentleman dressed in dress pants with a sweater hat. Fully dress with his outside clothing on walking back-and-forth peeping in the room looking at me didn't no why because he has been following me all day but No one else came in the room while I was on the bed I was in there until I finished when I was finishing Then the lady was walking back to the room we were passing each other up in the hall I asked her, did they fix the problem for her She had another frown on her face. So my assumption was she didn't want to talk so i stopped back in at the front desk to check in with the young man to make sure it wasn't any issue because I know that they're trying to build a case because I have had problems with them in the pass for the rudeness and nasty behavior from the employees I got ready to leave, and the same older man that's has been flowing me was walking on the back of my heels like he wanted to trip me or something so I immediately asked him, was he okay Because he have been following me all day today and is everything all right He said, keep living how I'm living my answer to him was I'm gonna keep living with God because God takes care of me I am very aware that I'm being monitored and watched. I'm very aware that my phone has been hacked and tracked in the state of Massachusetts by law enforcement and I be followed by local city workers, and citizens and law enforcement for nothing, I have not committed any crimes and I have not harmed anybody i am very aware that my name and character has been ruined throughout the state But thank you all who are monitoring me. I just wanted to put it on record because I don't want any more lies told on me like I have said something out of the way to the Older lady or anyone because I definitely respect my elders. This is my way of documenting what went on thank you to all law enforcement city workers and citizens that have been taking time out of their busy schedule to monitor what I got going on.Thank you.Oh, you make me feel very safe praying and asking god to reveal the truth of what's going on, because I have not committed any crimes in this state but definitely keep watching God always reveals the truth yall stay blessed 😊

I don’t go to PF but my husband and daughter do. They only transferred to PF because the hours are better than our previous gym. The reason for 3 stars. However, they have complained way too many times of people going in, taking multiple machines at one time and to make matters worse, they take 15-20 minute breaks in between each rep and sit on the machines while they’re playing on social media. How is this allowed? GET IT TOGETHER PLANET FITNESS!!! There is no way anyone should be aloud to take over multiple machines. This is not their personal home gym. And to sit and look through your phone for 15 minutes or more while other people would just like to get their work out done and keep it moving. Some of us work, families, obligations, oh and a life!!! We don’t have 3, 4, 5 hours to be at the gym waiting for people who are just there playing around. We pay for our memberships just as they do. You need to have staff that will walk around and put a stop to this nonsense! Someone literally walked up to my husband to tell him he had to put his bag in a locker but you allow people to just chill on machines that other people would like to make use of, while they scroll through their phones??? And don’t even get me started with people who have to record themselves and get pissed of God forbid someone walks through their video. PF…you need better rules and regulations!!! All this crap about “We are not a gym” and sounding a lunk alarm. What you need to do is make sure your GYM is a place people can go in and get their work done, PERIOD!!!

I really liked this planet fitness in West Springfield. It was so spacious and they had so many treadmills , weights, racks and elliptical equipment. And I liked that they also had 3 different areas to workout separately to do a 30 minute workout, a specialty room for 360 members and a stretch area. I was greeted very nicely when I went in and when I left. And I tried the massage chair for the first time and that was so relaxing! The bathrooms & shower area were big and so clean.

It’s clean, even when it’s busy I seem to always find a station to workout on. People mind their business and just workout. I don’t typically get bothered by others. The staff seem friendly. That yearly fee takes away from the value some though. At the about $24 a month there’s great value in what Planet fitness offers. But that annual fee raises the cost when spread out.

Definitely had one of the... WORST workouts here. I mean, how am I supposed to do a chest day when ALL OF THE space here is taken by... treadmills. This location most likely only needs 15 max or even less at times. The staff are unknowledgeable when it comes to lifting and clearly are only there cause it's an easy paycheck. Even on the (okay quality) machines, there's just not enough of them to even have a workout in a mannered time. I DEFINTELY HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this location for lifting, as there's a more soulful gym not that far away!

I recently had to stay in the area for business and made this PF location my primary location to workout. If it were possible to give less than 1 star I would. And, after reading other reviews on Google and other platforms about this location I feel as though I am justified in giving my opinion. There were lots of machines that were in need of some TLC. While some of the paper towel dispensers were working, the were many of them that were not feeding through the paper towels. I did inform at least 3 employees on my various visits there at the front desk. Instead of assuring me that they would look into these issues I received either a blank stare, or one worker even told me that it's not her job to repair the equipment. Also, when you have multiple employees working, instead of them standing around talking or browsing on their phones they should be actually working. I'm going to go out on the limb here and make the assumption that the manager of this location tends to only hire their friends/relatives and then doesn't have any expectation of them to do anything but show up for their shift and collect their weekly paycheck.

Very disappointed in the West Springfield location and management. I've been a loyal member for over 10 years. The place has become increasingly flthy. Workers standing on their phones or having 2-4 workers just standing at the desk instead of cleaning. Constantly no paper towels/ empty spray bottles. I've tried other gyms and always quit within the first month or two. The gym is usually not crowded but there are always people working out. I have never had to wait for a piece of equipment. A major focus of PF is a notion they call No Critics. Don't look for a scale...you won't find one at any PF gym. I live their website which is full of optional workouts and fitness advice. I would recommend getting the Black Card membership. It includes limitless massage chair or Hydro bed. I am getting older and a 10 minute massage after a good workout leaves me feeling invigorated for the rest of the day.

Во первых - персонал. Есть и хорошие люди, но вы можете попасть на смену с грубыми людьми. Их отношение к англоговорящим нормальное, но со мной они испытывали что-то вроде раздражения, почти закатывая глаза🙄
Далее, Взяла абонемент с контрактом на год. Если вы захотите закрыть его раньше чем через год, то они возьмут круглую сумму за это. 60 долларов на месте. Далее, спишется со счета за следующий месяц(в моем случае 25 долларов) Почему? При закрытии абонемента об этом не предупредили. (Девушка которая меня обслуживала была очень грубой, общалась с коллегой пока я пыталась разобраться в чем проблема.) И ко всему, сегодня списали не понятно за что ещё 15 долларов.
Если говорить о том, как проходят тренировки - места мало как и тренажёров. В отделе для растяжки и ABC вы должны заниматься между другими тренажерами . Отдельно выделенного места нет.
Из плюсов - чисто. При тебе протирают полы, туалеты чистые, есть душ. Но тренажеры никто не протирает, часто сталкивалась с липкостью. Может цена за это не такая уж и большая, но я заплатила сполна при закрытии абонемента🤦🏻‍♀️
В общем, решать вам.

If you're a truck driver, this is a good planet fitness to stop by. Lots of space and parking by skechers. Normally there is overnight parking at 24hr planet fitness but there were signs that said no overnight parking. Also thought the day there were police officers in the shopping center.

Signed up online with no issues, went to this location for the first time and was told another location from over 3 years ago was looking to collect which caught me off guard, I was told I could use the gym this time but would have to talk to the G.M about this collection issue, then I was told I actually had to pay another 20$ to use the gym which went towards nothing even though I have a membership, I then asked to

My membership and at first was told I could not do that, this was by the assistant manager, I then made myself clear that I wanted to cancel my membership and I’m not taking no for an answer, so I lost out on my initial start up cost and was not permitted to use the gym, they seem to like taking money and not actually offering a real service apparently.

Definitely crowded at certain hours. Appropriate clothing doesn't exist. Almost "clothing optional" at this place with the way the boys randomly remove their tanks and t's to compare and take pics in the furthest corners. Girls are wearing bikini sports bras that barely hold anything in. Don't get me started on the shorty shorts. And what's the age limit? I'm looking at a kid barely 12 getting on a machine! No parent in site.
And people are obnoxious and they don't know how to share! It's an awful vibe here. It's only getting 3 stars because they're relatively new and clean. Lots of "judgement" happening in this place. Not to mention the experience I had with one of the young trainers here. A pushy guy who felt it necessary not once, but twice felt it necessary to impart his knowledge in my direction in the 30-min room. I was very clear I wasn't interested after his first attempt but he kept at it until I shooed him away.
