Power Rowing is the Boston area's first dedicated indoor rowing studio, designed and taught by world-class rowers. We're here to give you a high intensity cardio workout that targets your entire body, but has low impact on your joints. Went there for a fundraiser for a trainer that has cancer. Knew some of the trainers there from Row House. Was fun and everyone was friendly and social. Seems like a really nice place to come for rowing classes, especially if you are a walkable distance

Despite the studio name sounding a little intimidating, I took the intro class and it was a great workout (not scary esp for someone that’s never taken a rowing class)! Had a mix of rowing intervals and an abs workout on the mat. Bryan was fun, friendly and motivated me to work harder. Warm, inviting studio. Definitely recommend!!!

First time rowing through class pass, have tried a couple other classes (spin, Bootcamps) but this was by far the best. The studio had some great music but you could still hear and focus compared to other deafening classes. Bryan was super welcoming, funny and personal, helping to set up machines and correct form as we went.

This class has been a game changer for me. I'm surprised how much I love rowing! Typically I like to run or take long walks with my dogs, but this is a great break from monotony of these exercises. It's an excellent workout with really awesome instructors who make you want to push yourself while having fun! Also, having ab work, TRX, weights, etc. incorporated in different classes prevents that monotony from creeping up again!

For someone who never really exercised before trying out Power Rowing, this has been such a great find! Bryan is an awesome instructor, and everyone in the studio is very nice and encouraging. I actually look forward to waking up early on the weekends now... it feels nice to knock out a workout first thing in the morning. I've tried both the intro to rowing class, as well as suspension and strength, and it's nice to be able to mix things up. I'm hoping to stay with Power Rowing for a while.

Power Rowing is a terrific workout that offers great results. I've been to about 5 classes and I'm hooked. If you've never rowed before, do not worry. The instructors make you feel very comfortable with the equipment before you start a class so you won't feel left behind or intimidated once the class begins. I really suggest starting with one of Bryan's classes. He is great at offering feedback and making the space comfortable for everyone. Plus, his sense of humor makes the workout a lot more enjoyable.

As a former football player with creaky knees, I was looking for a great workout that put minimal tension on my joints. I found that workout at Power Rowing. I joined Power Rowing 2 months ago and have attended 35 classes in that time. I’ve never been motivated to attend so many classes and stuck with a workout regimen, but the workout and communal atmosphere here is amazing. On average 8-10 classes a day so it can fit in any schedule. And it’s the best low impact workout I’ve ever done.

I came to Power Rowing with absolutely no rowing experience and immediately felt at ease when I walked through the door. Bryan, and all the instructors, really make an effort to get to know each person that comes in for class. They encourage everyone along the way to get the best and toughest workout they can but always know when to let you do your own thing. The workouts are a combo of mat exercises and intervals on the erg, which makes for a well-rounded workout where I feel all my muscles are engaged. I can't recommend this place enough!

The classes are great for all fitness levels. Don't put it off, it's easy to start. PowerRowing offers a free intro class and a two week special for $30.

PR exceeded all my expectations. I'm not athletic, but from the start, the instructor put me at ease. Bryan explained things, didn't mind repeating things for the n-th time, cheered us on, checked on us, encouraged us, engaged us in conversation, joked with us, and always fulfilled his promise to give us a work out. He was sensitive, knowing when to push us and when to pull back. In fact, even though we always met as a group, he knew each of our levels and capacities so well that I always felt like I was receiving the individual attention I needed. In just two weeks, I can feel the difference, in my muscles, posture, and overall energy level. I can't wait to get back from my summer vacation to resume.

I am a fitness instructor, so I usually get paid to exercise. It has to be a really great class for me to be willing to pay....and Power Rowing classes definitely qualify. This morning for example I took a class led by a woman training for the 2020 Olympics -- first, rowing with her makes me feel like a hero, and second, she gave me lots of great technique tips. Running in the winter sucks. This is a fabulous way to keep up -- and I promise you even to improve -- your cardio conditioning. The owner of the business is a great guy, and I promise after you try out the studio you will also be motivated to help his small locally-owned business succeed.

I've been to this studio more than 10 times and every single class has been really fun, and tough! I had zero rowing experience when I walked into the studio and Bryan was very friendly and an awesome teacher, so it was easy to get the hang of it even on the first day. As a runner with a bum knee, I was desperate to find something that would give me the same workout and the same "charge" that a good run does. I'd never enjoyed working out on the ergometer before, but joined PowerRowing on the recommendation of a friend, and am a total convert! The teachers are wonderful, the workout is tough but fun and the people--staff and other members--are really nice and welcoming.
