The Nbpt Barre studio is such a motivating and encouraging place to exercise. I can’t believe the physical changes I’ve seen in myself since starting there 6 months ago, and the best part is I actually look forward to working out now! The instructors are so friendly and knowledgeable and Jenn, the studio manager, is the best.

I started at Pure Barre last June, and I love it! I had shoulder surgery the year before and, besides physical therapy, I had not worked out for over a year. I tried another studio prior to coming to Pure Barre, and I stopped going because I felt defeated. The instructors at Pure Barre, however, were encouraging and welcoming. Yesterday, I took my 80th class!

This studio is inconsistent about how they apply their “mandatory” sock policy. First time I attended, I was able a go bare foot (I don’t like socks when I work out, I get too hot). The second time I went, I was told “it was a board of health issue” Get your facts straight. Avoid avoid avoid!

I didn’t “find” the policy inconsistent. It WAS inconsistent. Please review any camera footage you may have. You were not present on July 4th. Instead of apologizing for terrible customer service, you doubled down and then had another customer comment that not wearing socks is disgusting. What’s that quote, when people show you who they are, believe them. I’m happy this review is posted so others can make an informed decision about their time and money. Good luck with your endeavors!

I'm confused by Mehgan's review of Pure Barre Newburyport. I have been a member since they opened 5-6 years ago. And the policy has always been to wear socks. And quite frankley, I would be grossed out by seeing sombody else's feet while I was doing some of the exercises. We do a lot of core work on the ground. The carpet has ridges on purpose to help your sticky socks stick!

Horrible customer service, very few classtimes and classes on weekends are always waitlisted. Really unforgiving cancelation policy, you're charged every 30 days so there is literally no way to avoid an additional charge when trying to cancel. Really unfriendly atmosphere in classes. Would highly NOT recommend

Went to this place for the first time today and it was a HORRIBLE experience. I have recently signed up for Pilates and wanted to check out Pure Barre as well to see if I would like it instead. The class itself was great and Krissy the instructor was wonderful. The manager ruined the entire experience with her pushy, insulting, and downright rude nature. Was told multiple times that we could be given a deal for a membership that day and when I had said MULTIPLE times that I needed to think about it, I was met with pushiness and insulting questions such as why wouldn’t I commit and was it a finical issue, and how committed am I really to working out. After about 15 minutes of this I finally mentioned that I have a membership at Pilates that is coming to an end in a month and that I would decide then if I wanted to switch to pure barre, I was met with more aggressiveness trying to convince me to pay for both places and when I said I couldn’t afford that I was told to go over to club Pilates and convince them to let me out my my membership so I could afford both places. Also this happened while the new manager sat there the entire time and let it happen. Talk about being unprofessional and already starting off on a bad foot with clients. I was considering starting a 4 class a month plan but definitely going somewhere else with less rude employees.
