This review is unsolicited, and as someone who doesn’t typically write reviews, I felt compelled to do so because Quincy Taekwondo has truly impressed us. From the moment we joined, it was clear that this is more than just a business—it’s a place that cares about its students, both athletically and personally.

As parents, finding an activity that’s both physically and mentally enriching—and that our child actually enjoys—is a challenge. We’ve tried other programs, but none have captivated our child’s interest like Quincy Taekwondo. What’s even more impressive is how much the staff cares about the whole student, not just their martial arts skills. After attending several days in a row, they suggested we take a day off to help maintain a healthy balance. This genuine concern for the well-being of their students over maximizing attendance shows they care more about long-term growth than pushing for profits.

The school offers classes for all ages, from 4-year-olds to adults, creating a welcoming, supportive, and energetic environment. We've seen firsthand how students grow in confidence, focus, and discipline. My child, who was once shy, easily distracted, and emotionally immature has become much more confident and engaged. It’s incredible to see them now excited about tournaments and achieving success that reflects their growth. The classes and instructors have made a profound impact for our child on both their physical and personal development.

One of the most refreshing aspects is their focus on enrichment rather than profit. They’re transparent with their recommendations, even when it means reducing their own potential revenue. For example, when it comes to gear and merchandise, they pass on savings from bulk orders to the students rather than marking up prices. They also don’t require you to buy everything from the school. They’re happy to give advice on what to look for if you decide to shop around for additional gear. This level of honesty and transparency is rare and much appreciated.

We find the school to be an excellent value compared to other schools, with flexible terms for those unsure about long-term commitments. The class schedule is flexible, with plenty of opportunities for students of all ages and skill levels. It’s no surprise that many students stay with Quincy Taekwondo for years, progressing from childhood through adulthood and multi generational. There are examples of students that are all related to each other, mother, father, sons, and daughters, etc. it's truly a family affair.

With a team of experienced and diverse martial artists, the school provides a rich learning environment for all students. They place a strong emphasis on tournament training, which builds not only martial arts skills but also confidence. At tournaments (which are optional), it’s clear that Quincy Taekwondo is highly respected—other schools recognize their professionalism and the large number of students and staff in attendance.

The school doesn’t just focus on martial arts; it’s about enriching students' lives in all areas—personal health, academic support, and even family activities. They go above and beyond to make students and families feel valued.

There are a lot of options available in the Quincy area and I'm sure they're also good, but the sense of comfort and assurance we get is something that we didn't feel as strongly when reviewing other schools either in person or through other trusted friends and family. Best place around! A very welcoming, family-oriented, professional environment. All of the instructors have been extremely kind, patient, and encouraging of my children from the beginning. Quincy Taekwondo is an amazing establishment and our family would like to thank each and everyone there for their dedication and hard work they put in every day.

We originally signed up our children to explore activities that they may enjoy after school but what we got in return here was nothing short of awesome.

Quincy Taekwondo helps our children build self confidence, respect peers/elders, be honest, and hold themselves accountable. Their instructors are caring, professional, and knowledgeable.

The school participates in competition which is an extra bonus for us. When our children goes to these competitions they are able to experience first hand how well they are doing not only compared to their peers at their own school but to peers at other establishments as well. During these competitions the instructors and staff from Quincy Taekwondo made sure all the students were taken care of and no one was left out.

Lastly, they always host events at the school or around the surrounding communities showing exceptional efforts by their students. When we are at these school events all the parents are participating and our kids have a blast.

My 2 kids started going to QT about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it in the beginning. At first, they were doing it for fun but as they went every weekend, the fun turned into determination to improve their techniques and reach the next level. It's true sometimes something's happen for a reason. Yes!! It was when, I went to enroll my son Adhit for taekwondo few years back, where I met Miss Lesely, who encouraged me to do taekwondo. I never thought I will ever do any martial arts in my life. But what should I say, her expertise teachings has put our minds at ease. My son, Adhit's journey from white belt to black belt, we could really see the difference the quality, the morals, the teachings are really remarkable. I would say not only Miss Lesley, but the other instructors Mr Kent , Miss Karen, Miss Su and Miss Kathy, each one of them are experts in Taekwondo. Seriously Love to be there! I have been with the instructors at this school for more than half of my life (I am 15, so this would be since I was 6 or 7). Quincy Taekwondo has been and continues to be a positive experience for my children. I like how they instruct kids in whole group and then divide them into smaller groups to work on specific skills whether it's a new form or a form that needs improvement. My nephew is a student here and it is amazing to see how much confidence he has gained since he started taekwondo over a year ago. He always looks forward to going to class all the time because he has made so many new friends here. Unlike seasonal sports, this is something he can do year round. The instructors not only teach taekwondo, but they also instill core values of determination, consistency, integrity, and respect. They welcome students young and old, of various physical levels with open arms. They work with each student individually especially if they need more practice or help. I am 55 years old and I have been attending taekwondo classes for a few years now. I have tight muscles and I am not very flexible. Because of this, I am not confident enough to go to classes where there are younger/more flexible people. However, at Quincy Taekwondo, I feel welcome. The staff treat me so kindly and Ms. Lesley even takes time out of her day every Friday for a stretching class for me to help loosen my muscles. I would like to personally thank Mr. Yee, Ms.
