Root to Rise is such a warm and welcoming environment. Jen and Anne are both wonderful pilates instructors and provide encouragement, personalized instruction and modifications when needed. I always look forward to my workouts here!

I couldn’t recommend root to rise more! I love coming here and look forward to every class. Jen and Anne are both amazing instructors (so knowledgeable and nice) and the studio is new/ super clean. I’ve noticed such a change since starting classes here! The best Pilates studio!!!

Root to Rise Pilates is a wonderful addition to Southborough. The studio offers an intimate, welcoming setting that allows for truly personalized attention. Anne is a fantastic instructor—patient, engaging, and always attentive to each person’s needs! I’ve only taken classes with her so far, but I’m sure the other instructors are wonderful as well. With a great variety of class options, it’s the perfect place to stay consistent and stay motivated on your fitness journey.

The studio is beautiful and very clean. I am just starting out with reformer Pilates and Jen made it so easy to understand while also challenging me! The group class is small so you still get the individualized attention and establish a nice connection with the other members. Definitely recommend this studio for anyone looking for Pilates in town!

It has been so great working with Anne these past few months in private sessions. Finding a form of movement that works for me after spine surgery was daunting, so I was nervous about giving Pilates a try. Anne has the knowledge, experience, compassion, and intuition to work my limitations so I can gradually grow stronger and more confident with movement. She can tell when I need to pull back, but gently encourages me to try new forms of movement when it makes sense. She's also just a lovely person to chat and interact with. I'm very happy I found Root to Rise!

I have benefited greatly from private (one-on-one) sessions with Jen. She uses Pilates equipment (Reformer and Tower) and props and modifications to improve my strength, balance and flexibility.
Her background in exercise sciences (BS) and 22 years experience with Pilates Apparatus no doubt contributes to the diversity of exercises she uses in her instruction to fit the needs and level of her students. Her background in yoga (Yoga Alliance 200RYT certification) adds to her toolbox.
Most importantly, Jen is a great motivator, she encourages me to work hard to reach my goal to be stronger, more flexible and healthier.

I have been working on the reformer with Jen for 2 years. She does a great job of explaining the form of each exercise, and is able to correct any misalignment so that I always get the optimal benefit of each exercise. Every class is different - she comes with a prepared set of exercises for every session - so that I never get bored.

Jennifer is terrific and pays particular attention to what I can and cannot do on the reformer. She customizes my workout so I get what is needed with compromising my new hip and new knee. I rally enjoy the attention to detail and her willingness to go the extra mile!!

I have been going to Jen's home pilates studio for close to 2 years. I have seen huge changes in my body tone as well as my flexibility and strength. Jen is an expert in pilates reformer work. She continues to challenge me with every training session..... something I look forward to each week. Her studio is very private and she takes every opportunity to keep it sanitary and well ventilated. I look forward to each training session with a smile :)
