I highly recommend Sisu Fitness! My husband and I have been doing semi-private personal training sessions with Anthony for over a year and it has become an integral part of our routine and fitness. Initially, I had a shoulder injury from before I started working with Anthony and he (along with my physical therapist) tailored my exercises to help rehabilitate my shoulder slowly. Anthony has a strong exercise science and PT background and understands how to push the body without injury, which I really appreciate. Slowly but surely, my shoulder healed and my strength has returned! I have continued working with Anthony during my pregnancy all the way up until 37 weeks. We have adjusted my workout program gradually as my pregnancy has progressed and I have been able to remain strong and mobile well into my third trimester, and Anthony helped me reach that goal! Along the way, we have become friends with Anthony and the other gym members and love being a part of this community. He also offers community yoga and meditation sessions, which are lovely. The gym itself is very clean and has state of the art equipment. I am a physician and my schedule is unpredictable, but Anthony is flexible around scheduling and make up sessions and fitting you in at different times, which has been essential. I would not hesitate to recommend joining Sisu Fitness!

I started working out at SISU fitness with Anthony a little over 6 months ago. My time at SISU has been transformative. As a physician I am keenly aware of the adverse impact of carrying extra weight and losing fitness over time. In addition to twice weekly workouts in the gym, Anthon'y daily support and reminders have helped me completely change my diet, lose over 20 pounds of body fat, and decrease my cholesterol by 50 points. Looking for an elite training site to improve your strength, balance, and flexibility? Look no further than Sisu Fitness run by Anthony DiPaolo. I’ve been attending Anthony’s center in Acton for several years now and have been immensely pleased with my improvement in strength, flexibility and especially balance which is critical to someone of my advancing years.

Anthony’s center is well-equipped with all the equipment larger fitness centers offer, and it provides so much more. He gives great care to each individual, constructing training sessions that are individually tailored to meet each person’s needs and limitations. If there are injuries or physical limitations, he takes these into account in planning carefully designed programs. Suggestions are made to continue the work of the program off-site.
Training can be hard work, so creating the proper environment can be essential in “lightening the load”. There is music [by request], adjustable lighting, served with a healthy diet of humor. I began with individual personal training then with Anthony's encouragement graduated to semi-private training. We encourage and support each other, borrowing from Anthony’s seemingly limitless enthusiasm and optimism.
Speaking of diet, Anthony is aware that proper diet is essential to a healthy body so participants are reminded to eat well and are supplied with suggestions on nourishing foods, in moderation, of course. The mind-body connection is stressed, and as a therapist, I can appreciate
the message that, as we are improving our physical health, we are improving our mental health as well.
Anthony DiPaolo is a superb trainer and more. There is a spiritual context at Sisu Fitness; a sense that by helping ourselves to stay fit we are helping those around us and, in a broader sense, the larger society.
There may be better ways to spend my time and money. I can’t think of any.

I began training with Anthony 8 years ago. After doing the same routine at the gym for years, I reached out to Anthony for help with weight training technique. I wanted to gain lean muscle but did not know how to do it on my own. Anthony tailored a workout to help me reach my goals. He takes care to teach overall heath, nutrition, injury prevention and proper weight training form.
I gained 16 pounds of muscle which I could never have done on my own and I feel better than ever.
The SISU facility is state of the art and Anthony makes every workout fun!

Sisu Fitness is the real deal. As a licensed mental health counselor, I really appreciate the holistic approach taken with clients, because I believe health is so much more than just physical. Throughout my own life, I’ve really struggled in my relationship with food. With Anthony’s personal training and guidance over the last 5 years, I’ve established a sustainable exercise routine and done a lot of healing around nutrition. I can honestly say I am so much healthier, stronger, and more confident, as a result. I am 54 and have always struggled with weight. However, I have worked with Anthony for many years and he has always been very supportive of my goals and my limitations. Most recent I worked with him Jan-May 2023 and I lost 14 lb by his advice doing intermittent fasting and low calories that I was comfortable with. With his exercise plan I built muscle and resistance while losing weight so I could climb 2 mountains over 1000 ft, have more energy. He is very good of keeping me accountable for achieving my goals with a positive attitude even when I slacked. I am still following his advice even when I’m not training with him. Anthony is a mentor across all aspects, nutrition, fitness and mental strength with a positive attitude.

Sisu Fitness is an amazing place to train! As a physical therapist and someone with chronic injuries I’m pretty picky about who I will work with. Anthony is awesome and can modify for anyone’s needs, and makes it fun to train! I’ve always shied away from training with someone as sometimes it can be more harmful than helpful, but Anthony is a huge inspiration for me and keeps me honest with my programs. I’ve never been stronger and couldn’t recommend Sisu more! I’ve actually recommended both friends and patients to see Anthony. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I have been working with Anthony at Sisu Fitness for nearly 6 months, and I feel stronger, healthier, and more athletic than I ever have, and I'm not an athlete or a gym guy. I started working with Anthony because I wanted to become stronger, but in prior attempts at the gym I would end up hurting myself, something minor, but it was always a setback. I wanted some personal attention so I wouldn't repeat this pattern. My workouts with Anthony are highly personalized, I spent hours emailing and talking with him before I touched any weights, he wanted to get to know me, my goals and my persona before we started so we could build a routine that works. He watched me move and stretch, measuring joint range of motions and finding where I was weak. He measured how much muscle and fat my body has so we could track that and see real improvements. When you workout with Anthony he's not just counting your reps, he's explaining what muscles you are working in that movement, telling you why it's so important to keep that specific muscle strong, and how keeping it strong prevents injury. He's watching your heart rate so he knows how hard you're working. He's playing the music you love, keeping you motivated, and encouraging you the whole way. This guy lives for this stuff and it shows.

I have been training with Anthony for about 2-3 years and I always feel more positive and motivated to become healthier after our sessions. My main goal while working with Anthony was to build muscle and lose body fat and feel better about my health. Anthony used a lot of great measurables to track my progress and mindset to also create a positive and healthy relationship with the food I eat and work out activities I would do. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a personal trainer to work with Anthony! I've been training with Sisu Fitness for about 10 months and can't say enough positives about it. Sisu Fitness does mainly semi-private training. I started with about 2 months of 1-on-1 sessions where Anthony (head trainer/owner) focused on my individual goals, lifting form, and basic strength. Once I was familiarized with the session formats, I graduated to the semi-private training sessions that consist of 2-3 people training in the gym at the same time. Group sessions are NOT classes. Anthony (head trainer/owner) continues to write individualized plans for every client for these group sessions. These sessions have helped build a sense of community for my exercise program. I look forward to seeing a rotation of about 4-5 other members during these session as we've built some comradery around each others' goals. It's a positive environment. As far as the training plans go, Anthony creates logically planned out routines. He blends smart and hard training perfectly. I come out of the gym feeling energized, not beat up or burnt out. When he recognizes some fatigue setting in, he prioritizes recovery. Long term, life changing results are what Sisu Fitness strives for, not quick fixes or confusing programs. Results wise, I've noticeably improved posture, seen some great strength gains, and gained confidence when it comes to being in a gym. I highly recommend Sisu Fitness if you are looking to make some positive and healthy life changes.

I have trained and worked out for many years. After 6 months with Anthony's programs and integrated approach to fitness, I've seen faster muscle gains and fitness results than at any other time.

As a trans identified person, it's always a leap for me to talk openly in training/gym settings. None of that phased Anthony who is concerned with finding a person's "why" and making an individually tailored, whole-life fitness approach for each client.

Hands down I recommend Anthony to all folks who want live a healthful and fit life.
