I can’t say enough good things about this place! The small group training format is perfect—the trainers are excellent, knowledgeable, and really encouraging. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming, especially Sean and Brad, which makes the whole experience enjoyable.

Normally I’ve struggled to stick with workouts—I’ve tried spin, Pilates, and other classes in the past, but I always had to really push myself to go and give it my all. This is the first place where I genuinely want to show up. The workouts are challenging but fun, and I actually look forward to coming in.

If you’re looking for a supportive, motivating environment that makes fitness feel less like a chore and more like something you can truly enjoy, this iS it!

I joined Synergy in May 2024 and I have noticed lots of positive changes since then. My energy level has improved. I feel stronger and my balance has improved significantly. I am an amputee and this has helped me so much by improving my strength and balance. The team is wonderful. Everyone is so nice. They helped me make modifications to exercises when I was unable to do certain ones. I’m at the point now where I just go with the flow and make modifications as needed. I feel great after every workout and it has improved my quality of life. The classes are small and you get a lot of one on one attention. It’s a really fun vibe. I highly recommend Synergy PFT!

I've been going to Synergy for years now and really appreciate everything about the place. All of the trainers at Synergy are great - each has their own style, but all are professional, friendly, supportive, with a good sense of humor, and just the right kind of benevolent force to keep us going through difficult exercises. I found that small group work is the best. Big gyms are intimidating and you feel small and alone - you are left to your own devices and if you are not a professional athlete, it's hard to know what to do. Classes at big gyms are usually huge and you never get the individual attention you need. Small groups at Synergy (3-6 people, depending on the time of the day you exercise) + excellent trainers = success, at least for me personally. Brad, Sean, Matt (and all the previous trainers), thank you for keeping me in shape and for making it a pleasant place to do the difficult work of maintaining that shape :-).

I've been going to Synergy for several years now, and continue to enjoy it. I recently had a knee injury, and the instructors are always engaged, offering modifications to accommodate those with injuries or limitations. The workouts are a great full body experience, exercising upper body, lower body, and core. I highly recommend this studio! Synergy has been a part of my life since 2013, and over the years, Sean, Brad, and my Synergy friends have become my wellness and exercise family. The impact of Synergy on my fitness and overall well-being has been undeniably positive.

Twelve years later, I am 17 pounds leaner, my body fat percentage has dropped by 5%, my plank time has nearly quintupled (peaking at 9 minutes 8 seconds), and I can now do as many push-ups as my age! 😊

I’ve been going to Synergy for about 7 months now. I highly, highly recommend this place! Each class gives you a full body workout, which is exactly what I was looking for. Brad, Sean and Matthew are simply amazing. They help you during the session to get the most out of it. They correct your form, suggest modifications and tell you how to breathe (which I never knew how to do correctly and it makes a huge difference when you do it right). Classes are small, instructors know everyone by name. There was a time or two when I was the only person and it really felt like a 1x1 session. Even if the class is full and everyone is at a different ability level, it never affects you as each instructor knows/sees what your level is and makes appropriate suggestions. Every workout is unique, which, in my opinion, helps with not getting bored. They offer virtual classes as well. I would recommend everyone to try at least three classes with each of the instructors to really see for yourself how great this place is. Glad I found it!

Great gym! The classes go by so fast and it’s always a great workout, something different every time so it keeps it exciting and interesting. I have been a Synergy client for the past 5 years. It's the only fitness program I have ever stuck with because it's fun, the staff is great, and the program really works. It's a great, non-judgemental gym for people with all levels of fitness. You get what feels like personal training every time you come to Synergy. The instructors are all friendly and super helpful, if there's an exercise that's to difficult for you, they will teach you how to make adjustments, they don't want you leaving there hurt and feeling like you can't do it. I've been going twice a week for 6 months and I've seen a real difference in my stamina, some weight loss and I've lost a few inches on my waist. Thank you Synergy!

This place is amazing! I moved to Waltham 10 years ago and lived 2 blocks from Synergy. I wanted to start exercising regularly, so I came in and talked to Brad, the owner, and he was so informative and kind and didn’t give the “gym bro” vibe that I dread at all.

I started working out in the small group trainings that they offer and was astonished by how much I loved it!

You do 50 minute session where you spend 9 minute on each station and this makes time fly by so fast and makes you stronger without you even noticing! It’s crazy.

I wish I was still living in Waltham to come here because ever since I left I haven’t had the same fun relaxed experience at a gym.

I'm so glad I tried out their classes! Small group workouts are with 3-5 people and the routine is different every time ans is a good mix of cardio, upper and lower body. Instructors are very encouraging and they are not pushy, encourages people to go at their own pace etc. I felt I hit a bit of a plateau in my exercise but I'm feeling like I'm breaking through it with synergy classes. Highly recommend.

Great instructor lead fitness classes in a boutique setting. The gym is always very clean and the main trainers, Brad and Sean, are very supportive. They design workouts that apply for beginners to your experienced fitness lovers. I would highly recommend trying a 30 minute low impact class for beginners and their HIIT or 1 hour classes. Come to Synergy in Waltham!

The staff at Synergy are fantastic. I am a repeat customer for a few reasons. Mainly I love small group workouts and the community that it builds. The gym is great but I just struggled figuring out what I needed to do. Synergy eliminates the guess work. Age is no matter, physical limitations also no matter. The staff will help with alternative exercises and work with any limitations. They make the workouts challenging but fun. They also offer virtual if physically going in is a challenge. Don't want a group workout, they got that covered too. One on one personal training is always and option. I just love this place and the staff!

I love Synergy! It’s the perfect amount of people for a small workout where it is not too crowded. I started January 2023… I am way more toned and my clothes fit way better. I've been going to Synergy for several years now and this is THE best small group personal fitness training I've seen! Brad and Sean are knowledgeable on fitness and nutrition and have no problem offering other ways of targeting muscle groups-say... when your body doesn't like certain moves. Brad and Sean are friendly and easy going but that doesn't mean they let you off easy during the workout! They pay attention and make corrections when your form is a little off, but never to embarrass and we all want to exercise correctly so we don't injure ourselves. If you are new to working out, there is no need to feel intimidated (like big gyms), no need to feel nervous because Brad and Sean encourage people to go at their own pace until they start feeling comfortable (it does not effect the other clients, who you will also find helpful and welcoming). I cannot stress enough how great Synergy is! Give it a try, they always have deals! They also offer beginner sessions, and low impact sessions separate from the main sessions which is a great way to ease into it! Hope to see some new faces soon!! Thank you Brad and Sean for always keeping me motivated, even on the days I'm not!

Synergy is a great small group training gym. It's a diverse, down-to-earth group. Everyone is really friendly and the trainers are great. They make working out fun. You go for an hour and they lead you through a full body workout. All of the workouts are scalable - if you are in top shape, you just go faster and lift heavier weight, if you are a beginner you go slower with modifications and less weight. I've been a member of many gyms in the Boston area and this one is a gem! It's also very reasonably priced and they have a very generous new member special. Thanks Brad and Sean!

I joined Synergy in Waltham a year ago, and it is the one of the best decisions I've ever made. From day one, I felt embraced by the warm and welcoming sense of community that Synergy provides. Brad Bishop, and the trainers, Emilia and Sean, are extremely supportive, encouraging and motivating to every single person, regardless of age, size or fitness level. Before going to Synergy, I barely knew I had a core. Now, not only have I discovered my core but I engage it in everything I do from heavy lifting to climbing the stairs. Feeling physically stronger has made me feel mentally stronger. Over the past few months, Brad, Emilia and Sean have worked tirelessly to create and lead virtual workouts that provide an equivalent workout to being there in person. Synergy is a boutique fitness studio which effectively combines 3 key elements to ensure real, measurable results of its members: 1) devoted, knowledgeable, energetic and personable trainers who provide you with instructions, guidance and support every training session; 2) well-balanced training sessions consisting of cardio and strength training limited to only 5 people; and 3) very clean and positive workout environment filled with tons of encouragement and judgment-free atmosphere. I have been going to a gym for years. At 65 years of age joining a new gym can be intimidating since the majority of people are under 50.

Classes hold no more that 5 people at a time.

Highly recommend! Over the years I’ve been a member of a few gyms and a couple smaller ones and neither kept me motivated like Synergy does! The trainers set up challenging, but manageable workouts and encourage each member to stretch their threshold to maximize the workout. I’m typically in twice a week and have improved my strength, stamina, muscle tone and confidence. Before I started going to synergy... working out felt like a chore. But synergy taught me that you can have a tough workout and burn fat while having fun! Each time I went in, I’d learn a new workout and the trainers would help me perfect my form and make sure I was doing it correctly, which I loved. The best part about synergy was how they tracked my progress by having an “assessment week”. The assessment week really made me feel like I was making a difference in my body and my overall health. On top of all that, everyone that works there is so friendly and good at what they do. It was great coming in a few times a week and always seeing their smiling faces and chatting with them! I signed up in January and did the new client special, and got a membership after I went to all my intro sessions. I love working out here! All the trainers are great, greet every client by name, and create an atmosphere you feel very comfortable in. The work outs are hard, but not over whelming. I have lost 6% of my body fat, and I feel so much stronger. The online scheduling is also very easy, I would recommend Synergy to anyone!

Synergy makes me actually look forward to working out! The personal trainers there know what they are doing and are friendly and motivating. The hour goes by SO FAST! The group training system works great – I have lost 8% body fat and 18 pounds since joining Synergy. I feel better about myself as my muscles strengthen and my pants aren’t so tight! (I can even do a pull-up now for the first time in my life!) Before I was very sporadic with working out and getting no results – but with the time slot commitment and the trainers guiding me on what to do – it’s so much easier to stay on track and get it done right!!

Going to Synergy is easily the best part of my day, and my week. The staff is amazing and makes you feel right at home. Joining Synergy I not only gained a support system, I gained a family. Brad, Sean, Linnea, and Emilia push you in a killer workout while accommodating to every individuals pace, goals, and lifestyle. I came to Synergy at the age of 54, NEVER having exercised regularly in my life. As a kid, I was weak and uncoordinated, and was always picked last for every team in gym class. Over the years, I grew more discouraged about everything my body couldn't do. To me, exercise was painful, frustrating, and humiliating. I knew I was never going to change my habits by myself, but I was afraid to join a gym. I pictured gyms as places where young, toned, beautiful people showed off their bodies and bench pressed 200 pounds! I'm grateful every day that I decided to try Synergy. The people who go to Synergy are all different ages and ability levels. The trainers tailor the routines so that they are right for each individual. I have found that the other clients are incredibly supportive as well. We cheer each other on, and even get a little friendly competition going sometimes. The most amazing thing to me is that I have stuck to it for over two years. I feel stronger, have fewer aches and pains that come with the aging process, and generally feel more confident about my ability to take on challenges.

I have been going to SynergyPFT for about two months now and I can't give them enough praise. I have tried diet and exercise on my own before, but never saw much of a change. After two months of classes with the amazing trainers at Synergy and I am down 22 POUNDS! Something I never thought would be possible. Everyone at Synergy motivates you and supports you 100%. They also have monthly challenges, nutrition work shops, motivation boards - the list goes on! I couldn't be happier with my choice to join SynergyPFT - I highly recommend you give them a shot.

I’ve been to a lot of gyms and used different trainers but this group is among the best. They have challenging workouts, are encouraging and truly care about their clients. It’s clean, convenient and well run. I would recommend it to anyone, especially thoughts working their way back into shape.

This place is fantastic. Very welcoming, great trainers, challenging workouts and reasonably priced. The staff seems to make it a point to get to know everyone and will cheer for your success. Convenient hours and plenty of parking. I look forward to every class - and I hate the gym!
