I visited Weigh Better U this weekend while in town for work. My friend has been a regular for the past few years and I was so excited to work out with her. The community at this gym is incredible - everyone is so friendly and Sam is simply the best. He was curious about me, my interests, my fitness experience, and built me a custom workout for that morning. The vibes in the gym are high, with great music, cheerful “regulars,” and a convenient location. Check out the smoothies and açaí bowls upstairs for post-workout recovery.

I’ve been doing personal training with Sam for the past year and it’s been such a great experience. When I first started going I wasn’t used to a gym environment and his small studio helped me build confidence and learn how to use different machines. Sam will always meet you where you’re at and push you to be stronger and try new things. I look forward to my training days because not only is Sam kind and helpful, he’s created an amazing community at the studio and I look forward to being there and cheering on my friends/having them cheer me on. When I’m traveling for work, Sam will plan workouts for me around the equipment I will have available at my hotel so I can keep up with my progress. If you’re looking for a welcoming place to help you get started with strength training and meet your personal goals , this is for you!

I have been wanting a personal trainer for YEARS, but I've never been able to afford it. When a friend told me about Weigh Better U's introductory offer, I jumped at the chance, and I'm SO glad I did! I've now been working with Sam for 4 months, and it is easily one of the best decisions I have EVER made!

Sam is one of the kindest humans I have ever met. He is relentlessly positive, supportive, and encouraging, and his studio is such a welcoming environment. I never feel anxious or uncomfortable. Sam is incredibly patient: he never gets annoyed when I ask him to show me how to perform an exercise that he's already taught me three other times. He is deeply understanding and flexible. Is a weight too heavy? He works with you to find the right weight that's challenging but not uncomfortable. Do you need to reschedule for another day? No sweat. Are you running late? Totally fine! As a teacher with an ever-changing schedule after school, I really appreciate that.

Sam supports me in and out of the studio. He checks in with me on my "off" days to see if I've gone to the gym. He writes me workout plans to complete based on the machines I have at my gym and the equipment I have at my house. When you're at the studio, fist bumps and hugs and cheers are aplenty. He tells me he's proud of me, which means more than he knows. I genuinely feel that Sam cares about me, not just as a client, but as a human. And he is that way with EVERY SINGLE ONE of his clients. He's truly the best.

As for my results: I've only been working with him for four months, but I have seen progress. It's slow, but it's steady, which is what matters, because I'm looking to build a lifestyle and make sustainable changes. I'm up in muscle mass, down in body fat percentage, and down about 5 pounds (and that's excluding the weight I've gained from building muscle!). My energy is higher, my BMR is higher, my resting heart rate is down, and today I put on a pair of pants that I haven't attempted to try on in two years. My eating habits are better and I'm exercising consistently, week to week. I'm starting to like what I see in the mirror for the first time in...maybe forever? It's an amazing feeling! And it's all thanks to Sam.

Me and my family took a CPR/first aid/AED training course from Sam and he was amazing! His knowledge of all the areas we wanted to learn about was spot on. Sam’s gym is so welcoming! From the moment you walk through the doors you are greeted by the most contagious smile by Sam himself! He has a variety of classes to choose from and the times of the classes are very intentional to work with your schedule. You get a great workout as well as good company. Sam is the very best! He pushes me but is so very supportive. He always makes sure to modify any exercise that I can’t do due to knee injury. I have a gym right in my building, steps away and I still get in my car and drive here because Sam is so amazing! If it wasn’t for him I would be doing nothing!

I always have such a great time at weighbetteru!
Love the different workouts we get to do every class and I got to meet some amazing new people! Attending the class has truly changed my life..especially my mental health.
