Giving a shout out to Woodshed Strength and Conditioning. Just joined after talking with my neighbor and how much she liked it and yes I do love it. Alicia is my one to one trainer and she is great. She puts me through my workouts with concerns on is the weight good for me and makes sure that I am executing the move correctly and knowing what muscle it is working.
All and all I am please with the support that Justin and his staff have shown to make sure I am getting the results I want.

I started here recently, and it has been a great experience so far. The onramping process they use is really great touch. You start with a set of one on one work to make sure you know the moves, lingo, and weights you will need for your first class. It makes sure you are safe, but also provides an excellent orientation so you know your way around the gym (if any of it is new) and how the classes work. It feels like the kind of place that can be whatever you need it to be. Everyone I have met so far has friendly but focused (nobody is stand offish, but they are there to work). This is my first month, but I expect I'll be going there for a while.

I am very lucky to have Woodshed so close to my home. Last month I started feeling ready to get back to being fit and thought of Woodshed because of how convenient the location was. It starts out with filling out some online info, and then getting a prompt response back from Justin. I loved that you were given the opportunity to come into the gym and check it out and talk with Justin about plans and goals before getting started. There are wonderful workout options for all levels and you can challenge yourself at any point. I love the group classes. I think Woodshed is great for anyone looking for a wonderful workout and great support to meet you where you are in your fitness journey!!

Phenomenal gym with amazing coaches. I can’t say enough good about this place. I’ve never been more comfortable in a gym setting. As someone who never lifted before Woodshed, I am beyond amazed by where I am now, just a year later, thanks to the tremendous support of the coaches and other clients. All the good feels Woodshed!

I joined the Woodshed a few months back. I was tired of getting injuries from my running and yoga practice, so decided to seek out some knowledgeable support. Justin and his team have been amazing! Already, I feel fitter and stronger than I have in a long while. At the outset, offered onboard training sessions give you the confidence to comfortably step into your first class. The trainers are kind, patient, super fun, and always willing to give you instruction on form, or space. The community is very supportive and friendly. They talk about the "Woodshed Family" and I can see that's what it is. Excited to be a part of it!

About a year ago, I was struggling and my typical outlets and ways of processing life's ups and downs just weren't working. I reached out to Justin at Woodshed and in our first meeting, he asked where I wanted to be in 3 months. I gave a very vague, albeit true, response: "I want to feel stronger, both emotionally and physically." Justin and the Woodshed team have helped me accomplish this tenfold. They are the total package: encouraging, challenging, knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. It is no exaggeration when I say that Woodshed has made my life better - so much gratitude to you!!

I have been coming to the Woodshed for over 9 years and cannot say enough good things about Justin and his team of coaches. The coaches have built a community of people who are strong, supportive, and inspirational. There are members of all ages and body types and they will work with you where you are at and not push you to the point of injury. I have gotten stronger physically and mentally through my years working with them. While most people will make excuses not to go to the gym, I get mad and feel out of sorts when I'm not able to get there.

I started at Woodshed almost 2 years ago. I tend to be more of a work-on-my-own kind of guy, but the group classes have been good for me. I’m in the over-60 age bracket and needed something to move my fitness forward, and Woodshed has been that thing for me. I’m certainly stronger, my conditioning is better, and I have found my balance to be better as well.
While I felt a little intimidated at the start compared to others, there was really no need to be; you’re working toward your own personal goals without respect to what anyone else is doing. There’s a lot of camaraderie; there’s a feeling of community.
Justin and his coaching team are always encouraging, and ready to offer alternatives to specific exercises if needed for specific physical limitations; when I broke my toe last winter, they offered suggestions to keep me physically engaged during the healing process.
I have been particularly impressed during the Covid 19 timeframe as Justin worked hard to keep us going, providing daily workouts and on-line classes. Now, with the recent reopening, he has done the prep work to keep us safe during the ongoing crisis while still providing options for those not ready to return. I think I even miss being able to do prowler pushes.
One last thing. I’m not the kind of person that typically gives anything 5 stars, but in this case it’s deserved.

I LOVE THIS GYM! The Woodshed is a great environment to workout in. If you are intimidated by joining, don't be! This gym works with beginners and experienced lifters. The coaches are kind and caring, and it is a very encouraging atmosphere and community. I used to spend so much time figuring out which workout I should do, but since I joined Woodshed I no longer have to think about it. The programming works - you will be addicted in no time!

Also, in this time of COVID, Justin has made the gym super clean and safe, with online coaching and Zoom classes that have kept me motivated and accountable. I don't know what I would have done without this!

I've been training with Justin and Woodshed Strength and Conditioning for several years. I've transitioned from group training to distance training due to changes in my schedule and training needs. The group classes are great. The training varies from week to week with a consistent pattern for building strength and working towards your goals. The workouts are fun and engaging.
The distance training I've been doing with Justin is tailored to my personal goals. I train Jiu Jitsu a few times a week and compete regularly. I've had planning sessions with Justin to discuss my goals so he can target the areas I'd like to work on. As an older athlete this targeted programming is essential to my continued development. Working with Justin is an investment in yourself.

Such a great community and terrific coaching staff...I NEVER thought I’d be excited to go to the gym at 5:45 am but it’s truly the highlight of my day. This place is awesome. When I first considered CrossFit, I was going to PT for a running injury. I asked the PT for recommendations, but instead they complained that over half their clients where there due to CrossFit injury's caused by the lack of training. A short time later I met the owner of the Woodshed and without me saying a word, he immediately starting talking about the importance of training in order to avoid injury - I was sold! I've been here for over two years now and have enjoyed every class. It is a close knit group that is still openly inviting to new-comers. There are always as many cheers for the newbie PR'ing with just the bar as there are for the guy benching 450. I have an number if friends who bounce around the other CrossFit gyms, but I have no intention of bouncing anywhere - this place is awesome!

I've been attending the 5:45 am strength and conditioning class for a couple of months, and it's been even better for me than I'd thought it would be. I'm stronger, but more importantly, I like myself better. There's a real community feel to the classes; a genuine supportive atmosphere. Just finishing my 6th year at the Woodshed, and that is a testament to Justin, his team of coaches, and the community he has created here. This is not your typical "weight gym", and the environment is designed to allow anyone to achieve their goals (which they will help you figure out), without feeling the need to keep up with anybody on the next platform. No one is screaming on their last rep (except maybe a few peers cheering you on) or throwing the bar down to make noise so you'll notice. Everyone supports each other and feels welcome, regardless of where you are when you start out. I always feel great about the rest of my day when I walk out the door after a workout!

As a relatively new member of the Woodshed and someone who is normally not really into the gym scene, I have found the whole atmosphere and approach of Woodshed fitness to be extremely refreshing. Justin and the other coaches are very knowledgeable and everyone is sweating and working hard, yet the atmosphere is very friendly, open, and laid back. There is no feel of exclusivity or intimidation. I feel very welcomed by the members in each group class, and they treat me as a member of the family just as they do people they have worked out with for years. Additionally, I have found the workouts to be a perfect level of difficulty, as you are encouraged to work hard but everything is adjusted just for you despite the group sessions. I have often thought "boy this last set is going to be tough" but never "how am I going to survive the next hour?" and thus I never dread my workout and am eager to come back again very soon!

Mid-50's and completely out of shape, I landed on the Woodshed's doorstep. I've been there for a year now and it's been transformative. When I started, I could barley air squat. Today, I unracked a bar with 105 lbs and squatted 5 times. Twice. The coaching and community make the work really enjoyable. I couldn't have landed at a better place.
