Convenient location. Nice, simple studio space. The styles of various instructors varies a lot, but that’s arguably a good thing! Very beginner friendly. Plus, the studio room is pleasantly small, so classes are capped and don’t feel cramped even when “full”. So far, feeling free to practice at my pace and be myself in every class.
Also, the new member intro membership deal is an excellent no-risk way to try out all the offerings. Very much appreciate its existence and encourage folks to try it out. I’ve been on the fence about where (and whether) to go anywhere regularly and that deal has set me up for success in a way that (in my experience) drop ins and class passes have not. I plan on continuing after my trial is up.

YOTV has been wonderful. I have been a member now for 2 months and have been going to classes regularly.
I have been attending the 5:30pm Monday Vinyana Yoga class and 5:30 Thursday Mat Pilates Class with Emma as the teacher. She is an amazing teacher who meets all members where they at in their yoga and Pilates experience!

Studio is in a great location and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The yin-restorative class was perfect after a stressful week and the vinyasa class had a good mix of stretching, cardio/breathing and muscle control movements. Will definitely be going back.

I absolutely love this studio! The classes are thoughtfully designed and offer such a beautiful variety. The Yin classes have helped me slow down and deeply release tension, while the Vinyasa and Slow Flow classes give me just the right mix of movement, strength, and mindfulness. The Pilates mat classes are an amazing bonus—I feel stronger and more connected to my body every week.
The instructors are welcoming, knowledgeable, and create such a calm, supportive environment. No matter your level, you’ll feel comfortable and challenged in the best way. The studio itself is warm, inviting, and always leaves me feeling grounded and refreshed after class.
If you’re looking for a place to nurture both body and mind, I can’t recommend this studio enough!

Loved my time here, teachers are great and the community is wonderful. Unfortunately I had to go away for a month so I took my credit card information off file to take a break. The owners still charged me somehow, I reached out to try to get a refund but I guess I missed that I was supposed to email that I was ending my membership. They were not forgiving that I didn’t notice this fine print in the contract I signed and refused to refund me or offer any other solutions like credit towards my next month. Nothing. Unfortunately in this economy it’s not easy to lose $100, so I filed a dispute on my credit card to try to get the money back. I felt it was unfair they somehow still had my credit card information after taking it off the file on their app. Now I am banned from the studio because of the credit card dispute they “needed to protect themselves.” Unfortunately the owners who I had never met in my months of going to this yoga studio, are not forgiving for making a small mistake. I would be still going here if it weren’t for this issue.

I signed up for an intro package in April '25 and was immediatedly taken with the yoga room in Florence MA and the quality of instructors/instruction. The instructors are well coached/trained and the classes have a valley vibe that is both familiar and appealing. Classes are small and work really well in what is a fantastic space for yoga. At some point, hopefully, will check out their studio on Martha's Vinyard as well. Looking forward to staying connected with this studio for a long time.

Beautiful locally owned yoga studio with a range of classes. Inclusive and supportive, this yoga studio is for everyone. It's located in an old elementary school that has been renovated for a variety of businesses, and the windows look out onto the mill River and trees surrounding it. It's a beautiful space to be and practice.

I joined this studio when they opened. As a community champion I like to support small businesses. Knowing that this one is operated by an old Townie friend makes me happy. YOTV, where would I be without you. If you are kind and looking for a place to rest in peace, join us. They are welcoming and friendly. Just like a neighborhood yoga studio should be. Thank you Lora, Marc, Teachers, and Students.

In the golden afternoon light of western Massachusetts, the former schoolhouse at 140 Pine Street has traded multiplication tables for meditation mantras. Tall windows filter sunshine onto honey-colored floors where small feet once shuffled between desks. Now, jade rubber mats—aromatic with notes of freshly manufactured tires—anchor practitioners to earth as ceiling fans gently circulate the communal breath above.
The instructor—legs ensconced in leggings that captures autumn's full spectrum—moves through sequences with athletic precision. Her cues arrive with metronomic timing, an auditory compass guiding bodies through space. This isn't surprising given founder Lora Ksieniewicz's background developing therapeutic yoga sequences for Amherst College and UMass athletes, where her approach reduces injuries and improves recovery times.
The studio marries architectural history with yogic tradition. Converted blackboards that once displayed arithmetic now frame a space where internal equations are solved. High ceilings accommodate both inversions and expanded consciousness, while vintage light fixtures cast pools of warmth on practitioners discovering their edge.
Particularly striking is the studio's commitment to functional movement rather than performative flexibility. Teachers trained in the house's rigorous Yoga San Kalpa program approach poses as biomechanical tools rather than aesthetic achievements, cueing microscopic adjustments that transform sensation. One teacher explains this approach stems from deep anatomical study that makes sequences "safe, strong and healthy, using the poses as a way to access our minds and emotions."
The converted classroom creates unexpected synergies—disciplined attention once directed toward academic subjects now turns inward. Drop-in classes ($22) offer remarkable value compared to urban counterparts, particularly given the instructors' extensive training in both physical alignment and yoga's cultural lineage.
Beyond physical instruction, the space vibrates with intention. Unlike trendy urban studios where commerce sometimes overshadows practice, this Pioneer Valley sanctuary maintains an educational ethos. The collective philosophy that "yoga is for every body" manifests in careful modifications and generous props.
When class concludes, students roll through Florence's quiet streets past Victorian houses and converted mill buildings. Many stop at nearby cafés where conversations blend anatomical discoveries with valley gossip. The studio thus extends beyond its walls, becoming a nexus in this wellness-minded community that one local describes as "unique, with people who share values and commitment to self-care."
For travelers seeking authentic practice rather than performative wellness, this schoolhouse-turned-sanctuary offers rare intelligence. Here, in this corner of western Massachusetts where the Berkshires exhale their final mountainous breath, ancient traditions find contemporary expression through teachers who honor both innovation and lineage. The most profound education, it seems, often arrives long after the last school bell has faded into the valley's verdant hills.

I tried out this yoga studio through their new student pass. So glad I did - only wish I had discovered them sooner! I have been doing yoga for decades, so I think I recognize a talented and well-trained teacher. Every teacher I have encountered so far has been excellent. The space is intimate and friendly. I plan to join on an ongoing basis...

Yoga of the Valley has helped me reclaim my health, both physical and mental. I have never been to a yoga studio with a more welcoming and inclusive community. Not only are the staff sociable and kind, so are the other students. Every teacher makes and effort to know your name and remember any physical injury and not only ask about it, but suggest modifications. Anyone who has an interest in yoga should go to this studio, classes are very accessible while having options to extend/challenge your practice. Very thankful for this studio!

I recently joined YOTV after years away from any regular yoga practice. All of the teachers and students have been incredibly welcoming. Shortly after attending my first few classes, I jumped head first into the January 30 class challenge. This was exactly what I needed to shift my mindset back into healthy habits. I’ve noticed improvements in my mind, body, nutrition, and sleep! The classes are all structured to go at your own pace. If you want to try something new, the teachers are there to cue and guide you. But no one expects perfection and there is no pressure. Very grateful for YOTV and excited to continue my practice. Thank you!

Classes are inclusive, anatomically sound, and rooted in yoga philosophy, as others have said. Classes also vary and often have different areas of focus or purpose, which keeps things interesting. Owner is community oriented, and a kind human. Would recommend!

YOTV is a gem in the Pioneer Valley. Offering vinyasa and yin yoga that is anatomically sound, rooted in yoga philosophy and full of heart. Classes at YOTV TRULY work your body, heart and soul. Plus, I have been SO GLAD with their online transition during COVID-19. While I miss the studio, it's been great to have flexibility in practicing high-quality yoga whenever works for me with the "virtual all day" option. HIGHLY RECCOMEND! Plus, the community there is supportive and kind.

YOTV has been a place of deep restoration for me. As a non judgement center it allows me to be me on my mat. I don’t care what others are doing for the first time in my practice. The support and love abounds here and the vibes are positive. Join us on the mat your soul will thank you.
