I would not recommend joining this club. Cancellation process is a joke. You have to mail in a letter requesting your membership to be cancelled. No other option, only snail mail. But they will respond to your request via EMAIL 7-10 days after receiving your letter. No one was helpful and it has been a frustrating process.

My wife and I have been going to this gym for 4 years now. Even though there are a couple of gyms closer to us, we always prefer working out here. Never gets too busy, solid variety of machines, clean equipment and facility make for great workouts.
I also have to give a shoutout to one of the trainers, Rob. He really helped me out when I broke a glass water bottle on the floor. Thanks Rob, you rock!

It's an okay gym. Cleaner than others, but the AC is non-existent. I tend to sweat there the most out of the other gyms I go to. The owner is kinda rude. I had my headphones on and did not hear it when I slammed the weight once. She came right away and said that I would be responsible for paying for the repair. I was like, no problem, they are easy to fix! The leg press machine and Olympic cages are dangerously close to each other and make racking and unracking very difficult and annoying.

Had a membership at this gym from 2020-2021. Was on auto-pay with my credit card. When card expired, payment wouldn't go through for last 2 months. ZERO emails, phone calls, or mailings or any sort of communication from them. First notice I had that there was a problem was the collection service calling. We had a terrible experience with this gym when we wanted to cancel our membership during the pandemic.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, I wanted to cancel my gym membership, anytime fitness Farmington charged me a cancellation fee of $50 (which is totally acceptable) and also an additional $370 for the remaining months on the membership, even though I was informing them well in advance and agreed to pay the cancellation fees.
Bottom line: Read the fine print, don't trust the gym employees when they say if you happen to move from this place and need to cancel "we will take care of it". They are highly unprofessional and will expect you to show up and use their services even during a global pandemic! And if you don't wish to do so, they will charge you anyway!!

Do not go to this location. I came in what seems to be 3 years or longer ago and I signed up for a membership. The person who helped me, Didn’t tell me or disclose to me that I was signing a two year contract. They just told me the price month by month which indicated a month to month but nope. They silently trapped me into a contract. And from what the other poor reviews I see, Sounds like they have experienced similar or same incidents. I have repeatedly reached out to find out how much longer on my contract and no one replies. It is covid so I am not going into this gym currently, Every time I email or call no one replies. This place used to be a great gym before the owner changed. Now it is all about money here. I had a contract for 2 years of which I used it for a year and a half, due to personal reasons I requested if I can transfer my contract in my wife's name so she can continue the membership while I pay for it, they deny. Also I cannot use my insurer's "gympass" option to continue rest of my membership. And here is the worst thing - They charged me during COVID-19 pandemic when the gym was shut down!

I had rated this gym 5 star before but now its not even worth 1 star! Its all about money here. Once you are a member, there is no cancellation any soon.

TL;DR: Great place but HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CONTRACT setup by this location's owner.
As per the place, great new equipments and very clean. I love going to this gym. BUT, the contract they set up is horrible for any customer. It traps you for that period and is not flexible at all. As in my case, I am moving to NYC where there is no Anytime fitness nearby. So I asked the person in charge to cancel my membership, but as per my contract she said, I can but will have to pay hefty fee. They said that they will waive like 300 for cancellation fee but I still have to pay the rest of the gym membership fee for my contract period which was another 300. I am just unhappy that I am paying for a service that I don't get to use at all. To minimize my loss, I asked if I can switch out my pay for 30 per month by health insurance program, BUT, as per contract, I am stuck paying the original 45 per month.

The equipment and the gym itself are excellent. There are 2 power racks, a smith machine, dumbbells up to 100lbs, and various other equipment and machines.

The only thing that is not perfect are the shower rooms. There is little space to place clothes, there is no soap dispenser (none other than foam hand soap), and the water pressure is weak. If someone prefers to shower right after they work out, as I do, then the shower rooms are less than ideal.

If, however, a gym alone is what is desired, then this gym has all the equipment required for a good workout.

Kahn, the owner corrected the problem and made everything right. Explained to me that the manager was still being trained on how their new Prime Healthways membership works and made a mistake. He took full responsibility of the issue and said he'd be providing better training to his staff.
I was contacted multiple time within 30 minutes after posting this review.
I'll leave the original review below as I believe this whole situation helps show merit and customer care on the owners part.

Have had an account with them for about 8 months. All of a sudden my keypad stopped working. I was told it was because I used the Rochester gym. Which I used once one when this one was closed due to a power outage.

I've been here twice to get the issue fixed. This second time the employee made support call in which they had to delete my account and reopen a new one. After doing so I was then told that to register that my old key fob would no longer be active and that they will have to give me a new one which will cost me 25 dollars.

Told the employee that that makes no sense as it's not like I lost my key fob or even canceled my membership.

Was told that these, in actuality, 99 cent key fobs cost 100 dollars and that he's only charging me 25.

Took time out of my day twice while also being at the gym at 11pm with no way to get in just to be told I have to buy a new key fob due to a problem I had no control over.

I'd recommend powerhouse, crunch, or LA fitness over this gym any day. They fix THEIR own issues with an importance of having satisfied customer.

Please avoid this fitness chain entirely if you can. I was a member for over 5 years with different anytime fitness locations and over a year or so with this location in particular and I wanted to cancel my membership.
I still paid 75 bucks as a "Cancellation charge" I was assured my membership is cancelled and then I was sneakily charged 40$ every month for 7 months straight after cancellation.It still hasn't stopped.
They all turn into scamsters when you want to cancel your membership due to personal reasons. In my case even after doing the time.

They restart the cancellation conversations over and over again too .I have some email conversations that i can show as proof that the conversation for cancellation was done 7 months ago.Thats' past us.Done.

I went up to meet them in the office during a time when we knew the manager was supposed to be present for this location twice and then i had a phone conversation and then eventually an email conversation. This was in december of 2018. I didn't check my accounts but I trusted them to cancel it and for this to smoothly get it over with.
I still strongly recommend to stay away from the fitness center at this location 22078 Farmington Rd, Farmington, MI 48336 unless this has a new owner or something now.I have lost money for the last 6 months.

This is a location specific problem but amidst some other good anytime fitness centers in the neighborhood,this one has been a very bad experience for me.
