I recently have moved states and needed to cancel my membership since I did not have an Anytime close to my new city. I went in and management told me I must email them with proof of the move and I would pay a 50 dollar fee. I emailed them the same day and then called the next and was told it would take 2 to 3 days to confirm the cancellation. Not only have I not heard back after multiple email follow ups, they have not cancelled the service and have continued to charge me twice already in the span of two weeks.

Wanted to change gyms. This location was close to my house. I called to get info. The guy who answered the phone wasn't very friendly and did not want to be open about membership prices. i came in looking for a gym membership after looking at other places like planet fitness, i liked this location because they have all the appropriate equipment i need without it being too crowded. the trainer emily offered me a tour and thoroughly explained the types of memberships to me. she was incredibly kind and welcoming, she seemed to really care about what my goals were. i plan on bringing my friends to sign up because the atmosphere of the gym seems better than others i have been to.

Ive been going here for a few years now. Location is perfect and the gym is never crazy busy and I have not had issues with workout routines. I started having a personal trainer and found it to be very effective. Zoë has definitely made a positive impact in attaining my goals and I have been able to target areas that were weaker points for me. I used to get pain in certain areas or burnout in other muscle groups during workouts and found thats not happening anymore which is fantastic. Highly recommend her and, honestly, the staff are all friendly!

The manager Geoff is nothing more than a theif I paid my membership in full for the year and was banned without a refund. This was the second year I paid in full I didn't really use this gym during the first year since I had a membership at lifetime. I visited this club maybe a total of 100 times during the first year most of which was to train core and use the cardio equipment. I believe that Geoff thought I would be doing the same thing going forward an easy $495 for him. as the first year was coming to an end Geoff started bothering me about renewing my membership I found out later that he was we trying to meet some sort of sales goal. He even had me pose with him for a picture holding his sales record. After renewing for the second year I began training at this club full time since it is very close to my house. shortly after Geoff began making comments about how much time I spend at the gym. Geoff was very snide some of the comments he made to me were “don’t you think there’s something better you can be doing with your time” “you’re here like 6 hours a day” I even asked Geoff if he had a problem with the amount of time I spend at the gym he responded with “you’re a member”. Geoff is a wolf masquerading as a sheep. I’ve met many slimey characters in my life and Geoff is up there with the worst. There were several times Geoff called me into his office inturpting my workout to tell me that people had been complaining about how I was intimidating to them I'm fairly confident that those complaints were made up since I rarely spoke to anyone. geoff spoke with me several times about my backpack and attachment bag being in the way which it was not I am very aware of my surroundings and had my belongings been in the way of another member I would have moved them but this was never the case. Geoff also spoke with me multiple times about the amount of noise created when I set the weight stack down at the end of a set. I have never in my 5+ years of training had anyone say anything about this I know now that this was nothing more than posturing so he could ban me without recourse. Geoff made every second I spent at this club extremely uncomfortable lurking around the gym with his beady eyes watching my every move. Geoff is really only interested in talking to you if he thinks there is a possibility you will purchase a training session. It is nearly impossible to notify geoff of broken equipment and when you do the odds of it getting fixed are zero. The only bench in the gym a MAXX BENCH which is a nice piece equipment if it wasn't broken drops down every time you sit on it. There are not enough weight plates to accommodate the amount of equipment in this gym. Several times I had to wait for someone to finish with the plate I wanted so I could continue my workout. I told Geoff several time that he needed to get more plates and was met with a passive aggressive attitude every time. There are a total of 3 incline benches in this gym and only one of them is usable. The other two are very cheaply made the seats do not adjust properly and the wheels are full of sand that gets everywhere when you move them. this is not only a irritating but a safety hazard there were many times i slipped and almost fell on the sand. I spoke with several other memebers who are experienced lifters they also told me that Geoff had been bothering them. Effectively I paid $495 for a 3 month gym membership. Stay far away for this place if you plan on actually using the gym. EDIT: after leaving several voicemails with Geoff and anytime corporate office I received a call back. Geoff offered to issue me a refund less 30% of the $495 I paid for the year only if I removed the review of my experience at this club. I will not be removing my review. Hopefully this review serves as a testament to the scam Geoff is running at this location and prevents others from falling victim.

This is the best anytime fitness location around. It's super clean with a lot of nice and new equipment. The manager is always around to answer questions or hes tidying up the place. All the TVs work and have remotes. I've been to the Washington location, Macomb 1 and macomb 2 and the amenities, cleanliness and overall vibe is the best here. Geoff is great!

I am glad this gym is back up and running! We were very sad to receive an email in Feb during our vacation that our gym would be closed when we got home. The Romeo location is too small and busy and even worse now that they are renovating it. We moved to Powerhouse Gym and while they have a lot of machines, it is just not our environment and the area is just too busy. We've stuck it out for the last few months and I just decided to do a google search out of the blue yesterday and was so happy to see that this gym is open again! The gym is big, welcoming, and not full of bro's, bikini competitors, and instagram fit fluencers taking over all the machines or just congregating in front of the dumbells and mirror, like Powerhouse. Everyone is friendly and it isn't packed where you have to modify your workout because you can't get on machines. I just wish we would have received an email when the gym opened back up! Thank you for saving this gym!

Previously this Anytime Fitness location got new owners and disabled my gym access card. I came back after to use my account and it was disabled once the new owners took place. The sales manager asked me if I still would like to still be a member and then proceeded to ask what my rate was. He responded with “well this is a nice gym and unfortunately we are going to have to raise your rate $20”. 100% would never go back to this private owners anytime location. This Anytime Fitness location has all the points I need in a gym;

- Cleanliness, this gym is always freshly cleaned.
- Good equipment, this gym has enough racks and machines so that you never really have to wait.

-GREAT Management, Geoff is not only professional and approachable but he actually cares about you as a member. Geoff has made sure the environment is comfortable for everyone and he doesn’t tolerate inappropriate or disrespectful behavior. By doing this he has single-handedly created a positive, polite, safe and motivated gym culture. I’ve never experienced a better gym culture than the Anytime Fitness on 25 mile.

Give it a try, you won’t be able to go anywhere else. Ask for Geoff!!

Unfortunate but this locations manager is horrible. I tried to set up a new account and was told to meet someone there at 6:30 PM. I was there promptly at 6:30PM, tried calling with no luck or answer. I left a voicemail and sent an email. Someone did respond to the email saying they were not accepting new memberships at this time? Why was I then told to meet someone at 6:30PM? I waited outside in the cold for 20 minutes, finally when a man walked out I asked if anyone was in the office, he said no & good luck because this also happened to him when he first signed up. Once I responded to the email expressing my concern, all the owner replied was OK. Good luck with your goals. Do better

Absolutely love this gym. I’ve gone to Planet, Retro, Edge, and LA. And Anytime has been my absolute favorite. The gym has all the equipment that I need to be successful in my own fitness goals. The manager/owner is just great and really gets to know the members and what their goals are. He’s always cleaning everything up and making sure everything is in perfect condition. All the members are so friendly and helpful. You start recognizing one another because the crowd is usually the same people. (Depending on the time) I’ve never once been at a gym where other members fist bump for your hard work. As a women, I feel 100% comfortable and confident in this gym whereas other gyms I did not. My favorite gym!!

Great location! I’ve been to so many gyms (Lifetime, Retro, Edge, Crunch, Planet.. etc, you get the point!) and worked at a few, and this facility is great! The manager is the nicest and most understanding person ever, and he genuinely makes you feel super welcome in the facility. It’s also very evident that he cares about his gym, and he’s always cleaning up the area and making conversation with people. On top of that, the gym is always incredibly clean and there’s constantly people cleaning the equipment, floors, and restrooms. THE RUDEST

I called them several times to find out information. The phone is not attended to. When i finally got someone to answer the phone after 2 weeks. the guy did not take 20 seconds to talk to me. Treated me with total lack of respect. Cut me off and hanged up on me. I called back immediately and he did not even bother to answer and hanged up again. I am sorry i even considered joining this awful facility with even more awful people operating this business

Once the gyms re-opened, I tried returning several times only to find that face masks were not being enforced and no additional cleaning supplies or hand sanitizers were installed. I understand gyms were facing tough times and spoke to the manager about putting my membership on hold until I felt comfortable returning. The manager said that was not an option and that I'd have to pay for the remainder of my membership. I said that I wasn't interested in paying for something that I couldn't use and furthermore, wanted to return once I felt it was safe or they were able to enforce the face mask policy which they had posted on the door. The manager became angry, very unprofessional and actually hung-up on me! Now, they sent my account to a collection agency. Be aware of this location and how they treat their customers. They don't even deserve 1-star! Terrible customer service and no additional measures taken to ensure a healthy environment.

New to this gym and I already LOVE it! I was going to LA on Van Dyke and always felt like it was a show gym. This gym people come in, put in the work, are friendly and supportive and there’s a sense of community. Gary and Andy were super helpful to get set up. I love the personal private shower option. There’s literally everything you need at this gym and they can help you out if you need assistance with what to do or how to use something. Super excited I joined!

The gym itself is wonderful (clean, spacious and lots of equipment) but after deciding to workout at home/outdoors for a few months I decided to cancel my membership to save money. I tried calling the gym to talk to someone about canceling and was directed to an automated service that only provided an email address to get in touch with the gym. I emailed that day. A few days go by with no response so I email again, since this is the only way to apparently reach anyone. I get an email back with a phone number in it but nobody’s name. My boyfriend gave it a call since we share the membership together. The man who answered was extremely confused on how we even had his personal cell number and seemed irritated that we were even calling him. He said he would have the right person reach out to us. Two weeks later with zero response, my boyfriend called again and was still directed to a automated service. But instead of pressing 4 for “cancellations” he pressed 1 for ”new memberships” and we got through to someone immediately. After explaining the situation to Andrew, who was the only polite person in any of this, Andrew convinced us to freeze our account so at least we wouldn’t be charged for another month, but could potentially open the membership up again in the future. Sure, seemed great. A few days later $70 is taken out of my checking account from them because allegedly the billing cycle had already begun and there was no physical way for them to not charge us. (What??) So not only was I charged again for a membership I wasn’t using, my membership was frozen so I couldn’t even use the gym if I wanted to! Eventually someone contacted my boyfriend about canceling our membership permanently but didn’t show much concern for any of the trouble we went though to get a hold of them. He said that because we didn’t give them 30 days we had to pay for a month we never even got to use. If whoever is “in charge” here had a single clue about customer service, they would have answered my first email and helped me before I “had” to get charged. I was considering keeping my account frozen but because of this headache and mismanagement I’m so happy we’re done with this place. Like I said, the gym is very nice and clean, but if you think for any reason you might want to cancel, please beware.

Pleasantly surprised with this location. The size is ample, they have plenty of equipment (newer), it's nice and clean, there's turf, they have the newer water bottle filler (super helpful to refill bottles in a quick manner), CLEAN BATHROOMS/SHOWERS (huge plus at a gym i.m.o.), tvs, plenty of space and mirrors etc. Loved this location.

Love this gym. Joined about 2 months back and the staff/owner I interact with on a weekly basis are really friendly.
No wait time on the free weights considering the number of people going here. Budget friendly 👌

Don’t usually post reviews but such a terrible experience that you should be warned. First off they took much longer to open then advertised. And kept dragging me along claiming they’d open. Wasting my entire summer for training. Then i cancelled and 3 months they are saying I owe them money and they will report to the credit agencies.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
And yes I know a thing or 2 about business was an appliance manager for Best Buy for years. That’s not how to run a business

Such an amazing gym! I've been to many Anytime's, and this is by far the best. Great equipment that isn't available at other Anytime's and it's very spacious. It's nice to not be on top of the other members. My only complaint is that it isn't closer to my house! Definitely worth the drive though.
