They are in the midst of converting to a crunch. Lockers are dirty, main room is dirty, and a fair amount of equipment needs repair. Hoping things improve with the Crunch refresh.

This gym has gone downhill fast over the last 5 years. Constantly dirty and the equipment isn't maintained very well. Some of the professional trainers reserve equipment and space for their clients even when they're not using it. I'm guessing they're financially strapped and can't afford to keep the place running at the level it was in the past. Time to find a new gym.

SCAMMERS!!!!! BEWARE BEFORE SIGNING UP!! FIND ANOTHER GYM IN ANN ARBOR!!!
Was a member of this gym for 1 year and found out when trying to cancel my membership the scam they are running. JOHN the manager is incredibly unprofessional. I am moving out of the state and requested to cancel my membership, however he states that they will not cancel without 60 days notice even if you are moving out of the state!! They claim that this is in the contract when you sign up, basically that they will scam you when you try to cancel. If you leave the state you will be charged for 2 extra months of membership that you of course cannot use.
l raised my concerns to the manager JOHN was extremely unprofessional hanging up on me when I alerted him to the scam they are running. When i called back literally 2 seconds later ASHLEY stood up for this unprofessional manager JOHN and claimed that he was not available and had left for the day. This type of behavior would be completely unacceptable in any other business.
BEWARE!! THERE ARE MANY OTHER GYMS IN ANN ARBOR THAT HAVE MUCH BETTER EQUIPMENT AND WILL NOT SCAM YOU THE WAY ARBOR FIT CLUB TRIES!!

The gym is large and not too busy. There is ample equipment, but it is older. They do have day care as well as free classes for members. The gym isn't really very clean, and it smells bad all the time. It is also pretty expensive.

The gym sucks that's the best way to put it. I signed up last December the exact date 12-16-16. I called on on 1-2-18 to see if my membership was over and I found out it was over on 12-16-17. I then told Larry I would like to cancel and told me that I would be charged for the months February and March although my contract for this gym ended in December. That's is absolutely ridiculous. He then told me I would have to cancel on the 10th month in order not to be charged for the months after my contract ended. When I signed up for this gym they never informed me of this rule. I'm so pissed that I would have told pay for this gym when I don't want to go to the gym anymore. When I asked Larry why I would be charged for the months after my contact he rudely responded "that's how it is". I think he should have a little more professionalism when talking to customer.

Been a member for about 10 years and seen the place under different management. Been disappointed the past 2 years that it is very dirty- the equipment and locker rooms. Seems like this should be a given to clean the equipment? Iβm not talking wiping down after workout- thereβs is layers of dirt, dust and grime on the base of the cardio equipment.
The classes and instructors are great, and nice they have childcare for drop in$5.
Could be a great place if clean and updated!

Good gym. I am getting annoyed by employee's not opening the place on time. That's a big problem and management can't seem to find a solution to the problem. I'm afraid if another gym opens in the near future (LA fitness) many people will leave due to this apperently unsolveable problem.

Used to be a Gold's Gym. Good amount of floor space. It's nice to not feel cramped while lifting weights.

Clean, no towels- no TV's, some machines have them built in, not all.
You have to give 60 days notice to cancel membership! What? rip off- beware, I have to pay for two extra months while injured

Has lots of extras like tanning and sauna. Nice weight equipment and LOTS of cardio equipment. Has all sorts of group classes. My girlfriend likes them a lot, but I have never gone to any myself so I cant say. Everything tends to be very clean. The overall mood of the gym is one of fitness, not meatheadness. I love it

Very poor customer service. I had asked to cancel my membership several months ago. I then received a bill stating I owed two additional months of membership dues. At the time I canceled my membership, I was told by one of their employees that I would not owe anything else. Two months later, I was told that it was in the fine print and in my contract, and that you have to give notice 60 days before canceling your membership. Total ripoff, making people pay for two months after you are done using their facility.

Poor customer service, it double charged me by mistake for four months, and takes forever to credit back my money! Manager is unreachable. It sucks.
Also, you need 18 months contract w. them if you join the membership. Which is not as flexible as other centers usually only 2 months contract.

Love this gym! The staff is always friendly and my son loved all the workers in the kid's area. We just moved and trying to find a gym that lives up to Arbor Fit is a challenge.
