This is a great gym. I’ve been going to this gym for 5 months consistently and here’s what I like: it’s clean, amenities (pool, sauna, steam room, variety of gym equipment, protein shake bar), and the people. The people who go to this gym have been kind and helpful. The protein shakes are SO good!! The staff have the best recommendations and are always willing to accommodate an order.

One of the best things about this gym though is the staff. I need to learn all their names but the girls who work the front desk are always kind, say hello, and are very helpful! Shoutout to Afnan who always has a smile and a kind greeting every time I come to the gym.

I had a very disappointing experience with this gym. When I tried to discontinue my membership, I was told I couldn’t use the gym for the remainder of the month I had already paid for. On top of that, I was charged a $100 cancellation fee because I canceled before completing a year. Their policies are unreasonable and feel like a way to scam people rather than support members. This gym is honestly not worth it. The prices are way too high — you pay $100 just to join, then a monthly fee after that. Even if you don’t go, they still charge you, and if you decide to cancel, you have to pay another $100!!!

On top of that, the equipment is old, the gym is small with no proper air conditioning, the music is extremely loud, and it’s always overcrowded and chaotic. Many people have complained, yet nothing ever changes. It feels like all they care about is taking your money, not improving the place or listening to feedback.

I used to come to this gym back when it was still fitness USA, it’s a great place with lots of potential. They offer classes, cycling, a pool, lots of machines and they keep up with them whenever something breaks. It’s also a clean space for the most part. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I hate to post anything negative because they really do their best. The only bad thing is that it’s always so hot in there. Sometimes it’s hotter inside than it is outside. I sweat before I start my work out. It rly ruins everything for me, my BP drops and I get so lightheaded bc there’s no air, but I haven’t been able to find another decent all women gym. For $60-80 per month, please turn up/on the AC, it’s very upsetting.

The women’s gym has some really nice amenities — the sauna, hot tub, pool, and tanning area make it feel more like a spa than a typical gym. The locker room is clean and comfortable, and the women-only environment is a big plus.

The downside is the equipment — much of it is old, worn out, and some machines don’t work at all. For the price of the membership, you’d expect better upkeep and newer machines. It’s a bit frustrating because the place has great potential.

So I’ve been a member for a while now (about 2 years) I love the atmosphere and the staff are always wonderful. i come to this gym almost every morning and I’ve seen this q-tip, and many more things like nails, dead bugs etc. sitting in the same spot for 3+ weeks. i love the energy this gym has but the cleanliness is 0/10. they have someone for the back to clean which is great but the bacteria and viruses floating the gym floor and equipments that are NEVER cleaned is disturbing. i hate to post this review but im hoping it’s a way for them to open their eyes. ive never seen anyone clean the gym area. no steaming, no disinfectant sprays, no vacuuming or mopping the gym ground… the membership is not cheap, it’s more on the expensive side compared to other gyms who offer the same or MORE and the least you can do is keep it clean…

Unfair and Biased Cancellation Charges – Very Disappointed

I’m giving this service one star because of how unfairly they handle cancellation fees. I was charged a fee when I canceled my membership, but I later found out that others I personally know weren’t charged anything at all — simply because they know someone who works there or have some sort of personal connection.

This is completely unacceptable. A business should treat all customers equally, regardless of who they know. It’s frustrating to feel like you’re being penalized while others get special treatment for no valid reason. I reached out to customer service for an explanation, and all I got was vague answers with no real justification.

This kind of favoritism and inconsistency shows a lack of professionalism and transparency. I trusted this service, but after this experience, I won’t be using it again — and I definitely won’t be recommending it to anyone else. If you value fairness and respect as a customer, I suggest you look elsewhere.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but I feel I have to share my experience with this gym.

I walked in genuinely wanting to register with my credit card in hand. The facility itself has a lot of potential. There’s a swimming pool and a hot tub, which is a great bonus! However, the gym area was extremely hot and uncomfortable, with only two fans trying to cool the space. That alone made it hard to imagine working out regularly there.

But what truly made me walk away was the customer service.

On my first visit, a staff member told me there was a 4th of July promotion reducing the registration fee from $100 to $50. That sounded great, so I came back the next day ready to sign up for a month-to-month plan and give the gym a proper try. But the second staff member-who was shockingly rude—told me the promotion didn’t apply and that the previous staff member was wrong. No apology, no effort to clarify or help—just attitude.

I’ve never encountered such unprofessionalism at a front desk, especially from someone whose job is to welcome new members! The inconsistency in pricing, the poor attitude, and the lack of basic customer care completely turned me off.

If you’re the manager or owner of this gym, please take this seriously. You have a great facility with a lot potential, but your staff and lack of hospitality are seriously damaging your reputation.

I really wanted to like this gym. As a women’s-only space with mostly Muslim members, I expected it to feel safe, comfortable, and supportive. Unfortunately, it felt the opposite.

The environment is cold and unwelcoming. In the pool area, the regulars eye you up and down and make comments as if you walked into their private home, not a public gym that everyone pays to use. It creates an uncomfortable and tense atmosphere that makes it hard to relax or enjoy your workout.

In the empty studio room, groups of young girls often take over to film TikToks. The music is blasted so loudly that you can’t even hear your own headphones. It completely ruins the focus and calm you might be looking for in your workout.

This place had so much potential, but the lack of courtesy and respect from other members as well as the staff, makes it a frustrating experience. I don’t recommend it. Save your money.

Absolutely the worst gym experience I’ve ever had — avoid this place at all costs!
This women’s gym is a complete scam and a waste of time and money. They are incredibly manipulative and dishonest, especially when it comes to membership terms. They don’t clearly explain the cancellation policy or the fine print, and when you try to cancel, they force you to pay outrageous fees and make you sign forms you barely understand — all while pressuring you through nonstop phone calls. It’s predatory behavior, plain and simple.

On top of that, the gym itself is tiny, overcrowded, and poorly equipped. There’s only one machine of each type, so you waste half your workout just waiting. It’s frustrating and completely inefficient. The entire setup is laughably small for the number of people they try to cram in there.

The music is ridiculously loud — blaring songs and noise non-stop that makes it impossible to concentrate or feel at peace. For a place meant to be empowering and safe for women, it’s just stressful and chaotic. And don’t expect help if you’re new — there are no trainers or staff to assist you, unlike literally every other gym that actually guides beginners. It’s neglectful and unprofessional.

The cleanliness is also a serious issue. You’d expect better hygiene standards, especially in a women-only space, but it’s just dirty and unpleasant.

They keep charging high fees instead of improving the space or the service. It’s obvious they’re more focused on stealing your money than actually providing value.

The only reason people sign up is because Muslim women often have no other options — but if you can, save your money and avoid this place altogether. It’s one of the worst gyms imaginable and completely disrespectful to its customers.

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel like people deserve to know what they’re getting into with Athletica Gym. When I first signed up, they rushed the process and had me sign the contract on a tiny screen without even showing me the full terms. I didn’t realize until later that they bury you in fees if you ever try to cancel — and let me tell you, canceling is made intentionally difficult. They don’t explain anything clearly upfront, and once you want out, they do everything possible to trap you.

The gym itself is overpriced for what it offers. The equipment is minimal — seriously, ONE hip thrust machine in a gym marketed to women? If someone’s using it, too bad. You end up wasting half your workout waiting. For the cost, I expected more variety and better availability of equipment. The space is small, and it's clear they just want to squeeze as many sign-ups as possible without investing in the actual experience.

On top of that, when I tried to cancel, they made me jump through hoops. Multiple emails, calls, and still hit with charges. It felt like they were deliberately stalling to squeeze out another payment.

There are other women-only gyms out there that are way more transparent, better equipped, and actually respect their members. Don’t waste your time or money here. I regret signing up and hope this saves someone else the trouble.

Horrible experience. Let me start by saying this is the worst staff I have ever witnessed in my entire life, anywhere, period. They mean mug you when you walk in, you say hello and you get no response. I wait at the smoothie bar for minutes while the girls upfront sit on their phone or lay on the black couch next to the door. There is a huge attitude from these girls, to the point where it makes you uncomfortable. The only girl that works in there, Afnan has her head on right and has exceptional customer service. The sauna and locker room has a moldy smell, and it is an overall ugly and uncomfortable vibe. I will be exploring other options forsure.

I used to go to a different all female gym in the area. I can’t elaborate how much a difference there is here at Athletica! I found that the cleanliness at this facility is reason enough to stay. A good amount of machines to choose from and all the staff are so helpful! Danya helped me tremendously. You won’t find this kind of membership elsewhere in the area. Highly recommend!
PS - please lower the speaker music in the gym, it’s extremely overpowering over our own headphones.

I love coming to work out in the mornings. The front desk girl always hasuch an amazing attitude, shes always making sure the gym is up kepf she makes killer protein shakes and she also helps resolve any issues or concerns some of these members have. I came in to swim for a day, we spent a while signing up, and paid for 3 day passes to find out that our clothes didn’t meet “their standards”. They were nylon shirts and leggings allowed in most pools. But why did it take me all this work to find out that we can’t swim. Refund doesn’t come in for days.

I recently got a membership at Athletica, and truth be told, I love it there. Very clean, no wait for machines, very helpful and friendly, and I love the fact that it's all women. Also, I'm not into protein shakes, but I heard there's were great, I had one today, and for the first time and no joke, Afnan made me a really tasty mango protein smoothie. Highly Recommended!

They charge 60$ a month, if you don’t have a membership you pay 20$ every time you want to use a pool, in my opinion that is too much money. It is a very secure gym, it has a ring camera on the outdoor door to make sure that only women come in. It has a decent amount of parking space. I feel like because it’s an only women’s gym it’s a bit more costly than a regular gym with males and females.

I love this gym. It’s clean and the environment is very friendly. The workers are very helpful and approachable. However, I’ve been noticing a few times I’d get charged an extra $23 on top of my monthly payment. When I called to ask why, they told me if the card declined I’m automatically charged a late fee which doesn’t make sense since it is auto-pay through one of my credit cards which is no where near declining lol. I love supporting my local businesses but I don’t like feeling like I’m being taken advantage of.

Gym is clean, machines are good quality, patrons are nice. Having a women's gym is just so nice in this community. However I think an improvement can be made with the staff. The staff is made up of young women who are nice but clearly lack customer service/ social skills, I wish they were a little more friendly to everyone, not just their friends or peers. I just think they need a little more training on this. For the price of the membership... this place is definitely worth it!

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I had came here before and had a good experience however I ended up bringing a extra friend with me today and the old lady’s in the pool kept making comments about what we were wearing and I informed one of the staff members (who is rude for absolutely no reason) and she came and spoke to them while we were leaving she had a comment to make and was saying we were disturbing and “we’re too loud “ when it was the lady’s who were talking about us we complained. This is my second time here and now I understand why people say hype is better than this place. If I could speak to a manger I would tell him how this disgusting workers and members he/she has. Hiring children and having people who are giving Islamic advice they can’t take their own , I do not RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AT ALL.

Came here to sign up about two weeks ago Afnan and Sabrina were the sweetest girls ever helping me and my friends sign up. Afnan especially made us feel very welcome and comfortable. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would not recommend this gym to anyone, it is absolutely horrible.
1. Very unclean—the showers are full of grime and hair. Sometimes there are flies in the gym. The pool is never clean, they just add more water and chlorine. The saunas increase my sinuses instead of relieving them because they are so unclean.
2. No hand sanitizer, wipes, or alcohol spray. I am pretty sure that’s a covid violation.
3. Broken equipment—the showers are broken or only have certain temps (hot or cold). The exercise equipment is almost always out of service.
4. Rude Staff—they will scream at you when it close to closing time or shut the lights off, it doesn’t matter where you are (showering, swimming, or working out). They also scream if you spend more than 5 minutes in the shower (they will literally start screaming “5 mins…2 mins” like we’re in prison)
5.Lastly, very inconvenient hours for the money you pay monthly (cheapest plan is $60)
