I like this gym overall however I went to the back room earlier today, and unbeknownst to me there was a cross fit class happening. No signs or anything signifying I couldn’t enter. Let me say there was legit one dude in this class. So I’m minding my business going to get my dumbbells and this man, who is the trainer, yells at me from the other side of the room and says “hey you, you CANNOT be in here right now.” And I was startled because this scary man just screamed at me, and I’m a teenage girl. Because he said it so loudly and aggressively I started crying. I simply apologized and left because I had no idea I wasn’t allowed in here but it just shook me up. I feel like if you are running a business, you shouldn’t make your clients cry.

Not sure what the owner’s problem with me is, but it’s good to see others have had better experiences. After introducing myself, instead of introducing himself, he said, “what’s your credit card number” - interesting business practice. Proceeded to give me nasty looks every time I entered the gym after that… needless to say I do not go there anymore. Shame, because the coaches are incredible people! It’s sad to me that this is what Anytime became - we need a gym in Oxford that is accessible to people that want to get a quick workout in to stay healthy.

Great gym with knowledgeable trainers that are a great resource as you pursue your fitness journey. Crossfit is fun and welcoming with a great group of people. Bryan is an expert at preparing a meal plan that will deliver the desired results. I lost several inches around my waist while simultaneously building muscle. This was all within a span of 30 days while eating more food than ever before. Along the way Bryan and Jessica provided health related guidance in classes and direct message that proved to be very helpful.

I’ve been with the BYT family since September 2024, but constantly since January 2025. I participated in Bryan’s 31 day challenge , that included a meal plan. It was super easy to follow, each meal consisted of a protein, fat and carb. I could mix and match based on the options Bryan gave me. I thought I would get bored of the “limited” food choices, but I did not. Right away I felt less bloated, despite earning more food than I was used to. It takes alot of the guess work out of weekly planning and will definitely help me make better choices when dining out.

This is an exceptional gym with great energy - everything needed for strength training is here, and everyone has an unspoken respect for equipment and gym etiquette. Gyms with this atmosphere are harder to come by these days - this place is a gem. Thanks to the staff for making it possible 🙏🏻

Building Your Temple (BYT) CrossFit has truly transformed my life in just 6 weeks. I’ve been a member of this CrossFit gym for 10 years, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, always pushing us to achieve our best. The community here is like a second family, and the workouts are both challenging and fun.
What’s even better is that my kids have now joined the gym too, and they absolutely love it! It’s amazing to see them develop a passion for fitness at such a young age. If you’re looking for a place that will transform your fitness journey and provide a welcoming environment for your whole family, this is it!

I was very intimidated to try CrossFit, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The community here is incredibly welcoming, helpful and encouraging. I now attend classes 3-5 times per week and have never been stronger. I’m about 8 months in and can honestly say I miss it when I can’t attend.
I tried it all - BeachBody, Peloton, YouTube videos, etc. NOTHING made my body as toned and strong as CrossFit.
The coaches are wonderful and they practice what they preach. Each coach specializes in something and they’re among the top in the state/country. Talk about motivating and inspiring!
Do yourself a favor and give this gym a try. 💪🏼

I joined this gym not knowing I would end up with a community and great group of friends. I was a cross over from Anytime and kept to myself and did my own thing.
Now not only did I discover a sport i absolutely love, but I am in the greatest shape I’ve ever been in and my relationship with my food and body are the best they have been in forever.
If you want a gym that will take personal interest in you and your goals, I highly recommend BYT.

I trained CrossFit here for awhile. The coaches were outstanding, providing exactly the kind of guidance and motivation I needed. The equipment was well maintained and appropriate for the training. My fellow trainees were outstanding people and a joy to work out with.
The gym has recently moved to a new location. I haven't been to the new building yet. I look forward to seeing what they're doing there. I have confidence it will be an outstanding facility.
Update: I've been training here for the last year. I meet a couple times a month with trainer Chris. Great equipment and outstanding people. This is not a glamour gym. Only come here if you're serious about improving your health and fitness. But if that's your goal, you won't find a better place!

I signed up and joined Crossfit. It's been about 10 weeks and I am already down 19 pounds combining with better lifestyle. The coaches are amazing and so are the other members. I was very apprehensive to join Crossfit, not being fit, but this is exactly the encouragement and lifestyle change I needed!!! Highly recommended for any fitness level.

At first I thought the CrossFit portion would be too small for some of the sessions. But after two weeks I think it just might be an ideal size and work even for the few occasions that we may be crowded such as the Murph Challenge. But we are all family and will make it work. Love the 24/7 side of it.

Since the owner bought out Anytime Fitness and moved into that space, this is now the best gym in the area. He kept all the best equipment from both locations, set up the crossfit box in the back, and even kept the spin classroom. It’s a gym for people who take their health and fitness seriously, and the other members are friendly and always willing to offer guidance to a newbie. And with all the trainers combined in one building (6 total I believe), anyone can find a perfect fit.

If you are Beginner or advanced within the working-out perspective, CrossFit at Building Your Temple Fitness is a must for everyone to try at least once! Not only are the coaches extremely professional, they’re also well knowledgeable. Now in my 5th week at the beginner level phase, Candi (trainer) excels at educating and demonstrating how to use proper workout techniques.
Rating 1-5 (5 being the best) the following are my suggestions...
Class Times=5* having a busy schedule is NO problem, am & pm classes are offered therefore no excuse can be used regarding time.
Trainers= 5* if you are in the mood for a drill Sergeant, tough but not so rough trainer or one one who smiles throughout the workout... then BYTF is the place for you!
Cost=5* I signed up for the 6 week challenge and plan on staying afterwards. CrossFit is unlike any other workout I have experienced before, it’s intense and results are intense therefore you pay for what you get.
Class Size=5* classes are usually 3-12 people from my experience. Each time it feels like I a personal trainer (which is amazing since I’m still new). Classmate at all levels are supportive of each other and the energy level is extremely positive.
Overall my experience and strength ability have shocked me. I can’t express enough how much my fitness level has changed for the better. Within my 5 weeks (coming 3-4 times per week) I have yet to do the same workout twice. It’s a fun new experience everyday and again it’s a must try for everyone!
