When they say u can cancel it at anytime, they lied. I had some personal issues going on right after I got the membership so I couldn’t go to the gym anymore and forgot to cancel my membership. I’ve went a total of 3 times the first month. Now there telling me I can’t cancel it until I pay $250. This shit should be illegal. So now there just going to keep charging me until I pay the complete bill when I’m not even using there gym. Shit happens in people lives, this shouldn’t be allowed!

Jess and the team at Champion are nothing short of awesome. William is always happy to be there and greets me with an awesome attitude without fail. Jess has been nothing but kind and welcoming since the very start. Shes made some awesome upgrades and it is obvious that the place is well maintained and cared for. Champion SCS in my opinion has the perfect storm of local, "small time gym" friendly/family feel with the cleanliness and newer/maintained equipmentof a big chain gym. Couldn't ask for anything better and Im glad to have found this gym after trying MANY others over the years in the metro Detroit area.

I haven’t stepped foot in a gym in over 10 years and was very apprehensive about diving back in. When I arrived recently I was greeted by Jess. She was warm and welcoming without making me feel pressured into signing up for anything. She gave me a personal tour of the facility and even demoed how some of the equipment works which was a huge concern of mine. I cannot say enough nice things about Jess, she made me feel like I deserve to take up space inside the gym and also made me feel like I was talking to someone I’ve known all of my life. I highly recommend Champion Health Club and it’s all thanks to her!

I've been extremely happy with champion and my trainer is terrific. He knows exactly what he's doing and he keeps me from hurting myself during my workouts. Their locations are spread far enough apart that it is convenient for me to stop in and grab a quick workout before I head to my regular work day which makes me feel accomplished.

Quick edit. I have been with champion now since they've opened the St Clair shores location. I was with the previous owners and not happy with my experience. Champion has been a breath of fresh air that just keeps getting better. They are doing their best to keep up with the equipment as the clientele grows once in awhile. There may be a piece of equipment you want to use that isn't functioning. They do their best to keep up the clientele that's there when I'm in there is fantastic. The place is as clean as ever and the staff is friendly and easy to talk to. I was enjoying my experience before. I'm enjoying it even more now

I’ve been a member for about 7 months since it was mac gym. It has improved over the last couple months but the personal trainer there are not the professional what so ever. I do a lots a calisthenics and was doing my sets of my muscle ups which I do often. I usually be zoned out but yesterday I forgot one of my AirPods. A trainer named TERASA was training somebody in close proximity, talking mildly loud. I could clearly hear her say “He just comes here to show off almost everyday”. Which very ignorant to many different training styles. Be aware of trainers here because they talk down on other members trying to better themselves.

I, like many others have experienced terrible service from the previous gym, and o include issues with billing for over a year and non existent staff or call backs- only to sell you personal training and not help. I recently had a final moment when a surcharge ended up on my account. I called peak then champion already in an aggravated state ( was building for over a year and a half) however, I could not be mad at Jess, the new gym, and he service or anything at all. She was absolutely amazing and genuine. She was concerned about my issue and followed up the next day with a solution. She even initially let me go on and on and was not rude or interrupt only to demonstrate superior emotional intelligence and real customer (member) service. I had almost forgot what this was I was so blown away. For that, she and champion gym will have a loyal customer for a long time. One day others will get this concept but for now, my hats off to you! As a Veteran in Macomb county, I will recommend all my friends from Selfridge and elsewhere to check it out ! Very military friendly staff! Thank you for all your help!

I have been an onn and off member of MAC gym since around covid 2020 and the management/staff has never been helpful or communicative, I've only ran into problems with them. I have now been membered with the st. Claire shores location for just over a year and things are finally looking like a real gym now that champion health took over in the last 2-3 months. Both Jess and Val are super responsive and have both actually helped me solve my issues. If your looking for a good local gym this is finally it!

The gyms it self are decent! There is definitely an old school vibe which is great.

However had a poor experience with PT. Not one but two Personal trainers stopped showing up or quit. Leaving no training available.
A week after the location we used got sold.

This all happened in early December (a month after signing). The new owners have answered the phone but have not been able to come up with a solution.

I’ve only been a member of Champion Health Club for a week, but I’m already impressed! From the moment I joined, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. The facility is spotless, and the equipment is modern, varied, and in great condition.

Even in my short time here, I’ve noticed how well-organized everything is, from the workout spaces to the locker rooms. The gym never feels overcrowded, and there’s a great vibe among members—everyone is focused and supportive.

It's a Christmas miracle!!! MAC no longer owns this location! The manager I met today is promising new/upgraded equipment. I'm so happy those crooks from MAC are gone. I'll never get my $1000 back but I won't be raging every time I walk in and see those idiots!

I joined this gym 1 year and 3 months ago. I had a personal trainer for most of this time, 3 to be exact. For some reason they cannot keep personal trainers staffed, guessing due to management.
My year was up in March and the manager that signed me up originally I was working with to cancel my training sessions. Payments kept coming out and I kept talking to this manager. She kept telling me "that was the last one". Now I have overpaid $900. She kept promising me that she would send me an email regarding the cancelation but I never received one. Now this manager leaves on bad terms, I'm guessing, because nobody can contact her.
Another manager finally stopped the payments. It didn't seem too hard, one click of the mouse! It really makes me think that she tried to screw me over!

NOW I'M TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK-
This just is not going to happen unfortunately. If I took $1000 without permission out of someone's account it would be considered a felony. A gym stealing $900 is acceptable somehow.

I live in St Clair Shores been here for sometime. I noticed on Facebook neighborhood page. There was some back-and-forth about this gym and the agreements and some dispute. I’m the kind of guy that takes things at face value, and I give my own opinion based off what I see and feel. I went in there on Monday. I dealt with Mark and Meech these guys were great. First off Mark for sales was extremely knowledgeable. He spent somewhere around 40 minutes, addressing my goals, my needs and carved out a program for me that seemed like it was from a Personal Trainer. I’ve worked out for many years and I’ve never been to a gym that showed that kind of care. It compelled me to sign up for a membership. I did secure my price for two years. Although they had an option for one year and month-to-month for five dollars more monthly with each level. I made an appointment for Tuesday to get my app loaded and utilize Meech and his services called the assessment. They sent me home with a form called a par Q. Which I felt was very professional. It had my medical past current eating habits and things like that on it. After the assessment, they evaluated my muscular strength, endurance, body fat, heart condition. And things I would’ve never done on my own. I think what’s stuck out to me was the comparison of how analytical we are as people in every other area other than our gym and our fitness. We spent 2,4,6 even 8 years in college. To study for our career. Mark made a great point how much have you studied for your body and your fitness with the amount of time you’re gonna spend in it? Based off all this input, which did not feel sales it felt informative and influential. I decided to sign up for personal training with Meech. They were clear that if something happens with Meech and he were to move or change his life or anything for that matter there would be a follow up from the club to assign a different trainer. Which I’m fully understanding of and in support of— I agreed as Mark stated they can’t control how long somebody decides to stay in this career, but they can’t control if I have somebody to help me.
I say all this elaborately because I have read the feedback on social media. And if I did not experience this for myself. I can see where some people could be coming from. But I really think it’s not on The Gym. It’s on the person to use it. It really is kind of like a lease when you look at it. So for my experience, it was excellent. I can’t wait to get to my goals with Meech and I will update my progress along the way.

Worst experience of my life. Supposedly I was in a month to month contract after refusing to sign up for one of their long-term contracts. I was at the SCS location, but had to go to the Fraser location to cancel in person (per their requirement) where I wrote a statement of cancellation with Ava. They were STILL charging my card for 3 months straight after my written statement. I called several times a week for months to try to get it sorted out. While I was waiting for any manager or literally anyone to call me back regarding my situation, I was still getting soliciting calls from their personal trainers that “I haven’t checked into the gym in ‘X’ days” and trying to offer me “free” personal training sessions to get me back in the gym. I finally disputed the charges on my credit card & they sent me to collections. I continued to call and finally got ahold of the SCS manager’s personal cell phone number & started messaging her. After that, the charges disappeared & I called the collections company to verify. Can’t say enough bad things about them.

I went in for a $20 day pass in April. They have since charged my card fraudulently for $85, $115, $5, and $250. I have tried calling them and emailing them numerous times. They might try to underplay this by saying I’ve never visited their gym as they’ve said to others, but that’s a flat out lie.

Initially this place got a 5 review, only because when you sign up for a membership they make you review before you leave. But if I, and about 50 other disgruntled members could go back in time and not sign up here we would. Do me a favor and go to the St Clair Shores residents page and see the turmoil normal people have been through because of this gym. My issue is... be very careful, they will auto renew you even when you jump through hoops to make sure your two year membership is not renewed. My husband and I decided not to renew our Gym membership that was about to expire. So we jumped through hoops to do whatever they told us so that it wouldn't auto renew. We had to go in twice then type a letter out, then deliver it, then call a month later to make sure it was done. We did it all but then a month later we get hit with another payment. We called again and no answer. FOR 3 MONTHS. Finally someone called us back, sand said that they don't have the letter and they have no clue what we are talking about. And of course the person we gave that letter to doesn't work there anymore. We have gotten nothing but the run around since. Been in 3 times, talked to multiple people in person, via text and via phone. All of them say this should be resolved and it was probably an oversight. Fast forward to a month ago they ran our card without permission again for over 400 dollars and we call demanding a call back after we filed a fraud alert. Then we get a call and she says -in a nut shell- oh well. They don't have record of any of this and legally we signed a contract to auto renew. We told her to talk to the owner and we aren't paying, we are done. WE CANCELLED. This is so unfair, it is not our fault they have so much turnover that no one knows what they other is doing. We filed a report with the BBB and they responded that they money we owe is for charges that were before our contract expired! What? Then why are they charging us every month more and more money as if we need to pay our membership? They are scammers. Well, now I am doing this review and then filing a report with the Michigan Attorney Generals Office also. Just be careful you guys.

I'd honesty not come here if you look on the St. Clair Shores community page in which a couple hundred local residents came with membership issues, and it's almost hard to cancel. The club app which had the membership card attached to it they deactivated, cause the last call was a personal trainer soliciting training sessions, and was being really abrasive when you said your not interested, or no.

Don't get me wrong its a clean facility, but that's because only a handful go there vs other local gyms like the planet, the LA Fitness, or the best in the area The Edge Fitness.

I'd prolly Not venture to MAC Gyms as a whole cause a few years back at the Mount Clemens location, they were not suppost to charge me a fee which was $10-prolly 20 for the owner to set up an app in the phone. According to Blue Cross, I wasn't supposed to pay anything to them Lol.

I first thought this was a good choice I later found out they will say whatever they can to get you to sign up. They are not true to their word or intentions.they just want your money and will more than likely go bankrupt because there is no one in the building when I have came in maybe 3 to 5 people and more than likely they work their or related to the owner. If I could give this place zero stars I would . 1st after I signed up I was told the 80 pounds I lost I did the incorrect way and my doctor was wrong . That’s funny . I went for a few months and the atmosphere there was uncomfortable. 2nd I ended up moving away and your allowed to cancel your membership if you move away so I called and called and called again with no response or returned phone call. Finally a month later I got a phone call back and was told that someone else would call me about my membership. That didn’t happen . Then another month goes by I call again and finally got someone to help me . They said I needed to send proof that I moved . So I did that and a few weeks later my account was still opened . There is a $150 dollar fee to cancel which I was fine with 3 months ago when I was told that but in the mean time they still took my monthly fees out totaling $80 so on top of the $80 they still want the $150. That is such poor customer service. Drag me on for 3 months and still charge me $150 to cancel. I should only now have to pay $30 to cover the $150 fee. I was also told I would get a call from management a guy named Mark which did not happen but Sarah said there was notes that Mark tried many times to call which is not true I have my phone on me 24/7 which I have to for my job. I asked to talk to him and she refused. I asked who the owner was and was told she can’t give out that information. That is a joke. I will and would never recommend this gym to anyone EVER. I was warned about it and I should have listen to that . I guess it is a lesson learned .

Update: I originally gave this gym an excellent review. However, as time went on I have learned this gym is terrible. They offer personal trainers and consistently people do not show up. I had to fight for months to be refunded after my contract was cancelled. Each time I called there was a “new” manager. Each phone call always resulted in false promises of resolution. I have never dealt with such incompetence. It’s borderline criminal the tactics they use to avoid allowing people to cancel a contract when they do not honor their part of it. If you are considering this gym, DON’T DO IT!!!

I visited here for the first time today with my spouse. We met Demetrius who was our guide. He gave us a tour and even took the time for personal mini workout sessions. This was the best experience. He was super personable and made me feel like I was part of the family. I can’t wait to come back and begin my road to a better version of me. Tyler was also such a cool guy. DON'T TRUST THE PROCESS!! Their slogan is 'Trust the process'. Obviously this doesn't apply in their policies. I moved from the area and I have been attempting to cancel my membership. I've made multiple in-person attempts and phone calls, but all I get is,"our finance person will call you to set up an appointment". It's been nearly 2 weeks and they still haven't cancelled my membership. This is beyond ridiculous!!!

We decided on MAC for this reason. Also our daughter is able to be on our family plan and workout with me. She loves to participate when I workout at home and now she can come to the gym with me!
I met with Brian this morning and talked about my previous experiences and what my long term goals are. We had a great conversation and I feel like I could definitely see myself and my family here long term. This is after all, a lifestyle change not just a quick fix. Looking forward to day 2!

Stopped in today and was instantly greeted with good energy and told what i should expect, all the trainers here are hard working and extremely helpful, they were showing me around and gave me a quick workout for shoulders and chest. The facility is nice as well, it has a smoothie bar, machines for anything you need to lift, and a place for boxing. Overall amazing experience i just signed up and can not wait to get started.

Following up on the email I sent regarding the response to my review, I spoke to Sarah, who was willing to let me out of the contract for $150 and two pieces of identification showing my new address. This was absolutely great and was more than willing to do this! I really thought we had made some progress. However, when I requested this agreement in writing, she said they couldn’t provide anything in writing because they didn’t want other clients to see that they did this for me and have others attempt the same? Which was extremely backwards given the fact that that they are doing what is stated in the contract and I got a lot of pushback about what I signed. They essentially wouldn’t put in writing that they are going to do the right thing. Which is a very baffling business practice.

I was apprehensive about sending the money after already having my membership in collections. Sarah advised that I could either pay the collections or $150. I explained that if they didn’t handle this properly—which has been a recurring issue—I would end up with the collections account and $150 in fees. My apprehension of sending the money without something in writing is valid given that I’ve been dealing with this for years.

I was essentially mocked and told that the reason for collections was my failure to send money, which is incorrect. I ended up in collections due to dishonest business practices and misleading information from their sales team and management. Their management advised me that this that “it was an agreement not a contract” which was the resolution…or so I thought when I finally got in contact with management years ago. I have been going back-and-forth with the collections agency as well trying to dispute this.

It was repeatedly pointed out that it was stated in the contract, but the fact that I was lied to by the sales team on multiple occasions and that all I want is something in writing advising that if I did what they asked would take care of things. This was what I thought was a reasonable request after all the dishonesty from the team. It fell on deaf ears and mockery. As a business, honesty should be at the forefront of their practices.

The audacity of the conversation really took me aback. Towards the end, instead of trying to have a productive conversation, it became unproductive, so I disconnected the call. Throughout this process, the blame was shifted onto me, and there was no accountability for their wrongdoing. This has been an incredibly frustrating and shady experience with this company. We will see if they sent me something in writing, but I doubt it.

When I signed up for the gym I was told that if I moved I would be able to get out of the 2 year contract. Knowing I was likely moving but unsure of the date I explained this to the person who signed me up. They said it was not a problem. That was not true and after calling the gym and letting them know that I moved, they wanted me to come to the gym and talk. Which wasn’t possible because I moved…it has now ended up on my credit report after talking to them multiple times on the phone. After talking with one of the people he said “it’s more of an agreement not a contract”. I thought this was settled after our final conversation. More lip service I guess. What a mess. Lesson learned. Read carefully and don’t give in to pressure sales.

I’m going to revamp my review due to a phone call I received apologizing for the unprofessionalism of one of their employees. However I leave three stars only due to the fact that the location in Mt Clemens on weekends is run on bank bank hours which is ridiculous, and the fact that in order to get a well rounded and complete workout I had to travel between St Clair Shores and Mt Clemens which is inconvenient. I’m looking to cancel my membership with an early payoff let’s see how that works out…I’m reading a ton of contract horror stories.

Avoid this place like the plague. The equipment is always broke, memberships are extremely expensive, and they also coerce people into writing good reviews for them. Not to mention the management staff is incredibly pushy and will not take no for answer. They also will automatically renew your membership whenever they feel like it. AND lastly... if you try to get out of your membership, they will not hesitate to report you to the Credit Bureau and destroy your credit score.

I write to share my troubling experience with MAC Gym, which has left me feeling deceived and financially exploited. This membership is nothing short of a nightmare, filled with misleading sales tactics, hidden fees, and unethical business practices that everyone should be aware of.

Misleading Sales Tactics: I visited MAC Gym to sign up for a monthly membership. I wanted two weeks of personal training to kickstart my fitness journey. As someone who works in construction, my schedule is tight, and I made it clear that I could only afford two weeks of training. The trainer assured me repeatedly that I wouldn't be locked into any recurring payments for personal training and my only contractual obligation was the 39.99/month membership fee. This assurance was a blatant lie.

Hidden Fees and Unauthorized Charges: The Personal Training (PT) Agreement was printed/hand-filled, but the copy that was supposedly executed was withheld from me, I only received the digital membership agreement showing zero PT fees. After I noticed unauthorized charges of $195 in weekly fees I tried to get clarity. The gym acted surprised at my reaction and refused my request by "forgetting to email" or putting a different employee in charge of my case to keep me in an endless loop of meetings designed to discourage me.

I received a copy of the PT agreement via text message days ago (May 3rd) finally revealing obligations I was assured did not exist. Before leaving on Sept 3, 2023, I explicitly stated I wanted to cancel any PT agreement if there was any fee beyond the membership + $390 worth of sessions. The trainer said there was nothing to cancel other than the membership. He even joked, “We are not LA Fitness." Also, the only contract they emailed solely represented the digital membership. Zero PT agreements so I felt as though the trainer had been honest.

Financial Impact: Working in construction means I can manage this financial burden, but what if I were a single mother struggling to buy baby formula? The predatory nature of these contracts could cripple someone living paycheck to paycheck. The gym's practices are not just deceptive; they are potentially ruinous for anyone on a tight budget.

Blaming Employees: When confronted, the gym's owner, Jeff, will not speak to you but has time to fly to CA to watch the Lions play, (with stolen money) and he is the only person who can provide a refund or stop the charges. He instructs his team to blame former employees. They portray themselves as victims of bad employees, but this is part of a calculated strategy. The turnover rate is high, with managers leaving due to the unethical practices they witnessed. One explicitly stated they left because of illegal and unethical behavior. They are willing to testify to these practices, highlighting a pattern of deception and exploitation.

Trained Deception: The sales staff at MAC Gym are trained to mislead customers with statements like, "You have to pay your cell phone bill even if you don't use it," to justify ongoing charges. They create a false sense of security during the sign-up process, only to trap customers in financially draining contracts. When I realized the extent of the deception, their customer service was evasive and unhelpful, further compounding my frustration and financial loss.

Call for Action: I am determined to fight this and am seeking help to expose these practices. This is not just about my personal experience; it's about preventing others from falling into the same trap. The owner's affluent position allows him to intimidate and exploit customers and employees, leveraging his wealth to silence those who cannot afford to fight back. Standby MAC Gym.

Always thought gym cancellation nightmares were a thing of the past. I move around for work, and have had 4-5 different gyms in the past 5 years. This is the ONLY gym that has not worked with me on cancellation due to moving. Apparently I was auto-renewed without knowing. They expect me to drive 35-40 minutes to use their facility until March. Absolutely disappointing. When I move back to this area in the future I would gladly use a corporate gym over dealing with this again.

Avoid at all costs. My fiancé recently joined after speaking with very aggressive employees and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Worked out ONCE on a month to month contract. Not only did the trainers call and harass him every week to come in for training, it’s literally impossible to cancel the membership.

We have made four separate attempts to cancel the membership, following all the necessary protocols outlined by the gym. We delivered a hand written notice as requested (which now they say they never received). On top of this every time we call to discuss this matter they say “I cannot help I’m just a trainer here, you will have to keep calling back”. Mac gym failed to cancel my membership after several attempts and continues charging my card every month. I now have to report it as fraud.

Ive worked at gyms, worked out at various gyms, none compare to even the intro alone of MAC Gym. The people inside of that building Curtis and Devin are some real down to earth people. At the end of the day its a business but they don’t let that get in the way of making sure u feel comfortable in the gym environment and comfortable with your own decisions on what u wanna focus on . Cant wait to spend more time here with my membership being fresh, but already I was made right at home and feel a connection with MAC outside of just clocking in to a gym full of equipment. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to lock in and get better and focus on yourself with guidance available if needed!!

Cannot be happier that my contract is up with this gym. I wish I had never signed up in the beginning. There is a long list of reasons why I would not recommend joining this gym.

- 2 year contract that you cannot get out of. Not to mention that you must give a 30 day notice you want to cancel even at the end of contract. I was unable to speak with an employee in the days leading up to the end of my contract due to lack of availability and ended up telling them 29 days before my next billing cycle and they still charged me for the next month. Unreasonable. I was told to write a letter stating I wished to cancel and someone would contact me. 2+ weeks later and no one ever called. Every gym I have been a member of cancelling was easy as that day let alone taking weeks on end.

- Gym equipment was poorly maintained and often broken for weeks at a time.

- Priced far higher than most every gym in the local area with much less to offer. Fewer amenities, workout classes and variety of equipment.

Quite literally the worst gym I have ever been to. The experience from the very moment I walked in was shady.

I had to come in just to hear about pricing options. No one would tell me any pricing options over the phone or contract options or anything. First red flag. Right when I came in they were trying to sell me aggressively. Super aggressively. It was beyond uncomfortable. I signed up for a membership honestly out of just sheer discomfort and I felt like I had to. They totally pushed me into a 2-year contract. Then they start telling me I need personal training and I won’t meet my goals if I don’t use one of their personal trainers. I said no and the guy continued to push and push and push. I told him I absolutely could not afford that and he would not let up. I left and tried to cancel a couple days later and they would not let me. They even mentioned how I’d have to start counting calories and sharing that information with my personal trainer if I wanted to meet my goals.

The equipment isn’t well kept, spiderwebs all on the tvs, they can’t even bother to keep the times right on their treadmills for those who use them. I like to watch TV on my phone while I run and I was told when I went in there asking for the WiFi password that they, “got rid of WiFi”. You pay a decent amount for this gym membership and they can’t even have WiFi available? This was a few months ago, and they do have it now- but they didn’t for a while during my membership.

All around just super unprofessional and not great staff. There is also constant turn around when it comes to their staff. Their pushy sales tactics may get people for a time, but it won’t keep them I can promise you that. Many people feel the same and I definitely try and spread the word as much as possible so others don’t get sucked in.

I don't know the persons name (the guy who sits at the first desk on the left inside of their office) wouldn't even give a tour of the new facility upon arrival. Very awkward, made the experience uncomfortable. There was no one at the front desk at all. He was very confrontational and tried kicking me out just for asking questions about the pricing. I stayed inside the office and he still tried kicking me out. I had to call a different MAC gym just to get service. Weird, I also grew up in St. Clair Shores. I would not recommend this location with their "Manager" on duty he has a major issue and doesn't want to tour unless you register and fill out the "Birth Certificate". I tried explaining that I did not have any goals and I just wanted to price and see if I could get a membership. Very lazy and just was more focused on getting a sale which never happened at this location. I recommend Registering at a different location hopefully you can use your digital key to get into MAC gym without dealing with the St. Clair Shores Manager. Need a need Manager at this location AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Contacting the BBB about this as well. BTW prices are $59.00 but I did see some of the lower prices after driving to a different location just to get info. The SCS Police said that they would just take their business elsewhere after contacting them, not recommended. Save your money

Nice gym. New equipment but be aware that the associates here are extremely pushy. They are worse than time share sales people they won’t take “no” for an answer. To top in off I signed up for a year membership and had to renew it after 6 months 😱. They literally cancelled it after 6 months for no reason. When I went to re sign up for the other 6 months now the “manager” who calls himself Demetrius can’t even sign me up. I found it hilarious. It’s just so typical when your not buying a package from them for this company to send you thru these hurdles. Keep in mind when I signed up it took me 2 hours of rejection before they signed me up 😱😱. Make sure your contract reads what they tell you or you will have issues with MAC gym

If I could give a negative zero I would. Gary is a head case. Tried canceling our tanning package for 3 months. Talked to Avia, at Fraser, (who scammed us into a membership for 2 yrs, when we just wanted a day pass to check the gym out) she said she would cancel the tanning pckg. That didn't happen. It took us 3 months to get the tanning canceled and our refund. Then they cancel and I guess baned us from their gym. Why?? Becuz We left messages to try to cancel the tanning, we went in and sat w managers to cancel the tanning. We would call Avia and she would pretend to be someone else. It took me blowing up fb on their pages, which I'm now blocked to have them cancel our tanning. Why was this so hard?? Becuz Gary has to put it thru and if Gary wants to play childish games he will. But before all this the owner offers my daughter a job. All is good for 2 wks then becuz Gary is a head case he harass my daughter and ends up firing her. Becuz she wasn't "ALL MAC" he wouldn't let her leave work after working a 12hr shift becuz she didn't scam anyone into a membership. Also, she was told not to talk to "certain members". Actually, the whole mac group and Gary all had a "special talk" w my daughter on why she shouldn't talk to these ppl. She ended up telling Jeff, she didn't like how they misled ppl and then signing them up for 2 yrs so Gary wasn't impressed and continued to harass my daughter and fired her.
ALSO, GROSS, the towels that ppl use to wipe down the machines r never changed out. It's the same towel for hours. I can't believe the health department hasn't caught on. So months pass, my daughter goes in w her workout partner who still has membership. He pays $20 for a day pass for her. Mind you this is late at night, at the end of their workout, Gary comes in and tells her she's banned from the gym. Which she didn't know she was banned, oh but take their money, let them work out and then tell her she's banned. I have been in gyms all my life, I have never dealt w such crazy in my life. READ THE REVIEWS, PPL ARNT LYING. STAY AWAY FIND ANOTHER GYM

I’d give 0 stars if I could. I was forced to write a “good” review before ever even completing a workout there. So maybe think twice about all the seemingly good reviews. Staff was incredibly pushy and judgemental. They made multiple comments about the type of workout I chose to do. Not a comfortable environment to workout in at all. It’s never busy and there’s definitely a reason for it. I would advise you to workout literally anywhere else.
