This was my first time trying Pilates, so I already walked in feeling a little nervous. I didn’t know where the shoe cubby was, and before I even had a chance to figure it out, I was called out in front of the whole class for having my shoes on. I apologized and explained it was my first time, and one of the staff members was very kind and understanding she reassured me that it wasn’t my fault and helped me get situated.
However, the initial interaction really threw me off. If the studio wants new clients to feel welcomed and come back, a little more patience and kindness toward first-timers would go a long way. Pilates can already be intimidating for beginners, and small moments like that can make a big difference.
I appreciated the nice staff member who helped me, but I do think the overall experience could’ve been more welcoming.

I had never tried Pilates before — I used to be really into weight training. But because of my allergies, I can’t do intense workouts anymore. I was looking for something gentler that still felt effective, and that’s when I found Club Pilates. I joined a free trial class and was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
The class was both relaxing and energizing. I felt safe, supported, and still got a good workout without pushing my body too hard. What impressed me most was the instructor-led format — every movement was guided and adjusted to fit each person’s needs.
Sarah, in particular, made a huge difference. She’s warm, approachable, and explains everything so clearly. Even though I was a complete beginner, I felt confident following along. She pays close attention to everyone in the class and always helps us adjust our posture to prevent injuries. Her care and clarity made me feel truly welcome.
I’m so grateful to have found this place. Highly recommend Club Pilates to anyone looking for a safe and supportive way to stay active.

Can't wait for the three month minimum to be over.
Extremely disappointed in the sales and the general manager. I have been waiting for an email back for a week. Sent emailed every couple of days because I understand it could get lost. However, this is not the first time that I have reached out to the studio and not received a response for weeks. But they will post on social media. Completely unacceptable. Cancelling my membership and will not be back.

Despite the rating, I really do enjoy the instructors here. The front staff ruined the experience. I had numerous billing issues with this establishment. Upon joining Club Pilates, they were unable to locate my membership because my purchase was ran underneath someone else’s account so it took a few days for them to locate that. Around Easter I had a random charge that they corrected once I acknowledged it. However, without that acknowledgment, the charge would not have been resolved. In August, I completed a termination form to indicate that it would be my last month. That same day, I received a call from a member of the club to confirm this as well. Fast-forward to September, I’m being charged yet again for another months worth of membership. And apparently they “lost my cancellation form and would need me to fill out another one” a month later. I think this is ridiculous and very unprofessional. I do believe they should correct this error. I’ve tried reaching out but I have yet to hear anything back from an actual manager. I wouldn’t waste my time here. They’re very unorganized.

New Club Pilates member, and new to Pilates in general. Historically, I am NOT a gym goer, nor a fan of group classes. I haven’t worked out in ages and was intimidated at the thought of trying Pilates. Tried the Intro class with Sherryl and LOVED it- signed up that day for a membership. Have worked with Sherryl and Sarah the most and have enjoyed every single class! Never boring, not repetitive, always learning a new move. Great for people of all levels of physical fitness, as each move can be modified to your individual ability. Clean, welcoming environment full of positive energy! They run fun events, themes, and challenges. Rather expensive (worth it, just not personally within my normal budget for working out), and it’s a 30 minute drive for me (after a 2hr round trip work commute!) but honestly I wish I could go more frequently than 2x/week!! If you’ve been on the fence, give the intro class a shot!!
The only downside is that classes fill up rather quickly, but I’ve been on the waitlist 3 times and ended up with a spot all three times.

I’ve been a member since they opened, and I love it here highly suggest taking an intro class if your not sure it’s for you(the intro is free!!). Always a class open and the instructors are amazing! If you can I’d suggest taking Suzanne, Sherryl, or Danielle’s classes! Club Pilates also does a lot of fun member appreciation events! Care for women is my work specialty. Most of my patients often focus on weight loss. It's more important to build core strength and balance and Pilates is a great physical exercise! I had the chance to try out a 30-minute intro class at Club Pilates in Okemos and was truly impressed. I went with a friend, and we both left feeling refreshed, supported, and surprisingly energized. We each have a history of injuries—especially involving the neck and spine—so it was important that the movements were safe and well-explained. The instructor did a phenomenal job guiding us through each exercise with clear, thoughtful cues that made everything easy to follow, even for total beginners.
Her tone was calm, friendly, and super encouraging—no pressure, just great energy and a real sense of care for everyone in the room. It was clear she knows her stuff and genuinely wants people to feel good while getting stronger. The class flew by, but we felt like we got a full-body workout in just half an hour.
Also, I was really impressed with how clean the studio was. Equipment was sanitized right after class, and the whole place felt fresh and well-maintained. Staff at the front desk were warm and welcoming, and the whole environment had a positive, community-focused vibe.

I recently attended a 30-minute complimentary class at Club Pilates studio in Okemos and was absolutely impressed from start to finish. I brought a friend with me, and we both have past injuries and spine/neck issues—so proper alignment and safety were top priorities. The instructor exceeded our expectations with her expert guidance, clear instruction, and warm, compassionate presence. She made the class feel accessible for beginners while still giving us a solid, invigorating workout.
Her voice was soothing and encouraging—not intimidating at all—and her passion for Pilates and helping others truly shined through. She packed a lot into just 30 minutes, yet it never felt rushed. In fact, we both agreed we could’ve gone a full 50 minutes and still felt great. The session was the perfect blend of relaxing, fun, and physically challenging—exactly what I needed.
The studio itself was pristine, and I appreciated seeing the staff sanitize everything after class. As a nurse, that attention to hygiene is something I notice and truly value. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and clearly excited about their work and community.

I really enjoyed my three months of Pilates. I was completely new to Pilates when I started, and I think this studio was ready to teach people and help everyone learn the lingo. While the front desk isn’t the most welcoming I will say the instructors are top notch and very well trained especially in helping all body types adapt. I really appreciated Sarah’s meticulous instruction and Andrea’s infectious happiness. I also loved the class times offered and after the initial grand opening hype died down it was very easy to book and get into any class I wanted to. This is a great studio to start your practice or challenge you no matter where you are.

The front desk workers were kind and welcoming. However, I attended the intro class and was grossly disappointed and offended by the teacher and the class content. While I was laying on my back as well as facing the wall, the teacher was often physically touching and moving me, without my consent and without prior warning that she would be doing so.
In the beginner class, I was also not allowed to modify the movements to accommodate my abilities. I was corrected multiple times for not reducing my range of motion. The teacher was more interested in getting me to conform to her instructions than to actually allow me to engage my abs when taking pilates. It made me question if the point of class was to get a work out or to appease the teacher?

I can’t say enough good things about Club Pilates, especially classes led by Sherryl. She is truly one of the most effective and engaging instructors I’ve ever had. What sets her apart is the way she teaches: her instructions are incredibly visual and easy to follow, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to stay aligned and get the most out of each movement.
Sherryl doesn’t just say “engage your core”, she shows you what that should look and feel like. She uses clear cues, relatable analogies, and gentle corrections that help you understand your body better every time you take her class. Even complex moves feel approachable with her guidance.
She creates such a positive, focused environment that I find myself pushing a little harder, staying a little more mindful, and leaving each session feeling both challenged and refreshed. Her classes have improved not only my strength and posture but also my confidence in trying more advanced Pilates work.
If you’re thinking of joining Club Pilates, do yourself a favor and book a class with Sherryl. You’ll be glad you did.

I’ve always wanted to try Pilates and was super excited to hear that CP was coming to the Lansing area. I signed up the weekend they opened and I have not been disappointed once by my decision!
I’ve tried each of the class styles (love them all) with multiple different instructors and each one is amazing although Sarah has my ❤️🔥 right now. lol The different class types offer a perfect variety for my wellness routine.
If you’re worried your going to walk in and be lost or that your not at the right fitness level for Pilates I promise you that is not the case! If you’ve been wanting to try it you absolutely should because it really is for everybody!

I wasn’t sure I was going to like Pilates but decided to try it with my daughter. I LOVED it! The stretching felt so good plus a great workout that wasn’t killing me. Cannot wait to go back. Oh and the team was super informative and friendly!

I love Club Pilates Okemos! The instructors are all very knowledgeable and offer ways to modify or enhance each exercise. Reformer Pilates is the only workout I’ve ever actually wanted to go to! I look forward to it each time!

This is my first time doing Pilates and I must say that I have really enjoyed all of my classes so far. I absolutely love the studio. The vibe in the classroom is peaceful and relaxing. The instructors and staff are very helpful and hands on and the workouts are challenging but not impossible. I have been looking for a good workout that I can enjoy instead of workouts where I feel tortured in the name of fitness and I think Pilates is that for me.

I've had two personal sessions with Suzanne, so far, and have found the Pilates experience to be beneficial to my rehabilitation goals. She's been very mindful to not push me beyond my current limits, while also explaining how the movements will help me build strength and flexibility. I've found the space to be comfortable and welcoming. I'm looking forward to graduating through all the levels!

I’m obsessed! Not only is it an amazing workout, but it’s also incredibly fun! I never dred going. I’ve made friends and love the instructors- they are very attentive- essentially it feels like you have a personal trainer giving you pointers and leading the class! I felt stronger within the first couple weeks of going ❤️❤️❤️

What a pleasure to have this place in Lansing area finally! Studio is new and super clean. Instructors are great and what I really appreciate they are correcting you when needed and explaining technique details. After few classes I upgraded my membership. I had a lot of pilates and yoga classes before but no experience with CP. So far, very impressive and hopefully will grow in same direction.

Since having kids, I have been trying to find something to do outside of the house that is for "me," but have never had much luck. When I saw that this Club Pilates studio was opening in Okemos, I decided to sign up for an 8 class/month level membership to see what it was all about. After three weeks of classes, I was hooked. My husband said he noticed a change in my confidence levels and how I carried myself, and encouraged me to sign up for the Unlimited level membership. I am so glad I did!
I love the flexibility of signing up for a class when I want, and that there are a variety of different class types so I can always mix things up.

I’ve been taking classes at Club Pilates for 5 weeks now and I am absolutely addicted. I cannot believe how much stronger and happier I’ve felt since I started. My energy level has skyrocketed and I have less back and knee pain.
The facility is very clean and just beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and the place has an overall welcoming atmosphere. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. I highly recommend it!

My wife and I are very grateful for the Club Pilates in Okemos. The staff and Pilates instructors are absolutely outstanding. I can see the positive difference in my physical health and posture.
