I have been a member for quite some time now, this Pilates studio is great! Every single staff member is awesome, and the variety of classes continues to expand. Very cute and clean studio, Core collective has set the bar fairly high! I have been to other studios and this one is definitely above average and a fave of mine.

Love this place! I worked with instructors Chelsea, Riley, and Pavlina. I enjoyed how they all brought different techniques to the class and were all very attentive and engaging. The studio is aesthetically pleasing and inviting. I live in Los Angeles and go to a lot of different studios but this one stood out. I will definitely be using this as my home base for Michigan!

I absolutely love this studio! I just had my first session at this location today, and I couldn’t be happier. The instructor, Lindsay K, was fantastic—super welcoming and attentive. I really appreciated how she offered modifications throughout the class, which made it feel accessible and supportive, especially as a newcomer. The environment was warm and inviting, which isn’t always the case when trying out new places. I’ve tried two other Pilates studios before, and this one stands out by far. I signed up for the trial sessions and already committed to continuing with 8 sessions a month. So glad to have found Core Collection I’m excited to keep going!

I have always been somewhat who associates a good workout with my heart pumping and a good sweat. However, I have found a new love with pilates at Core Collective. I find myself trembling during class with a trickle of sweat. I leave feeling strong and grateful for what my body allows me to do!

I absolutely love Core Collective. I have never been a person that exercised regularly and pilates at core collective has changed my mindset dramatically. I feel so much better physically and mentally since starting. All of the teachers are incredibly encouraging and welcoming no matter your ability level. The level of kindness and care is really what stands out the most…not to mention the great workouts that never get boring. I started as a complete novice to both Pilates and group exercise classes and felt welcomed and supported right away. I am getting close to 200 classes and my obsession with Pilates and exercise is still growing! I really can’t say enough about how great everyone has been and how much stronger I feel.

Love it here! I have been attending classes regularly for a while and it has made such a difference in my health. Every instructor is friendly and pays attention/assists as needed. Reformer pilates is so much fun and challenging while always being adaptable for different needs. I use it to help with hypermobility issues and need varying modifications depending on pain levels. All ages and bodies welcome here!

I joined Core Collective in October and quickly upgraded my membership to 12 classes per month. All of the instructors are wonderful and welcoming. Every class is unique and challenging. There are so many classes each day, so it’s easy to find one that works with your schedule. I can’t wait to try out the new Packard location soon!

I have been going to this studio for exactly a year now! I initially picked it due to the glowing and consistent 5 star reviews. My doctor advised me to start pilates to build my muscle strength due to being injury prone due to Ehlers danlos syndrome. Let me tell you, drop everything and book a class here. Once I took my first class, i could NOT stop talking about this lovely studio and their brilliant instructors! So much so that I had gotten 7 people around me to sign up for a membership after their first class, including my now-fiancé! He loves doing pilates here as well and I feel that it has brought us closer together since we do it so often. Emily, the owner, clearly cares so much about the studio, her instructors and the members. It is an incredible, kind, non-judgmental and encouraging environment to be in. This was the first time I had ever done a workout class and I was so anxious to go, but after my first class I found myself to be so inspired to keep coming. I love the difference in the classes that they offer and how each instructor changes up the exercises so you don’t know what to expect that day! The price for membership is unbelievable compared to the rest of the studios in the area (please never change!) and it is worth EVERY penny. Last year I wanted to seriously invest into my health & wellness, and wow I felt like I have struck gold at this studio! The changes I have seen in myself, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, in a short time has been immensely rewarding and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment, knowing what my body can do in a short time. These workouts can be tough but I walk out every class feeling really proud of myself and I feel so much gratitude to have the opportunity to come here, I seriously fell in love with pilates! I never thought I would personally feel this way about exercise at all because I always hated working out and never found it to be enjoyable. Now, I found myself squeezing into class a few hours before I hopped on a flight because I knew I was going to miss it on Vacation! Every instructor they have is truly amazing at what they do. I feel a sense of community every time I step into the studio, which feels fulfilling. Some of my friends who moved away from town said they can’t find a studio thats similar to Core Collective and they miss it greatly!! This studio changed my life entirely, and if you give Core Collective a shot, I am sure it will change your life, too :)

LOVE!!!! Core Collective has quickly become one of my favorite places. I am so grateful for the environment they cultivate there - kind, supportive, fun, free from shame! I always always leave happier than when I arrived. All of the instructors I've had have been great, often provide options for modifications, and are so encouraging and kind. The space itself is beautiful and clean. I love the variety of class options. I love how strength, flexibility, and cardio are combined in most of the workouts and moves. The price is a steal, in my opinion. I highly recommend trying it if you're on the fence. I had never done reformer pilates and within a week of trial classes it was my favorite. 10/10 recommend :)

I love love love this studio! I joined about a month ago while recovering from an injury, desperately needing a workout that was challenging yet low-impact. Core Collective was exactly what I was looking for! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, the studio itself is gorgeous, and the music is fantastic. The instructors are amazing – they offer modifications for every level and always suggest ways to push yourself (or take it easy) depending on how you're feeling that day. I have loved every class I've been to so far! Truly, whether you're looking to tone up, rebuild strength after an injury, or just find a challenging and mindful workout, I can't recommend Core Collective enough.
And if you've fully read through this review and are wondering whether to try it – this is your sign to just book that first class! :)

I've been going to CC for a little over a month and am VERY happy about this decision! There were several in town I was looking into but I landed on CC due to several recommendations from other moms and because the pricing options were unlike anywhere else and much more affordable. I generally come 3x/week and take classes with a variety of instructors. Each instructor has their own style but they all are clearly VERY well trained, professional, friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic, encouraging, and helpful. I've never had a class that was repetitive of itself during a given session or repetitive of a previous class. I don't know how they do this given the amount of classes being taught each week, but it's really awesome and avoids boredom. I always wanted to do Pilates because the reformer looked so fun (haha) and now I'm happy I finally get to slip and slide on one myself. Not really slip, don't worry. Although, when I did have a bit of a snaffoo, Jen U. was quickly by my side to make sure I was okay...whoops! Come here, you'll be so happy you do!

A friend invited me to take a class at Core Collective back in 2023. After that first class I was hooked! Pilates at Core Collective is dynamic and challenging, and also fosters a welcoming environment. Each class is different but also offers a reliable total body workout. I never get bored and I don’t dread going to class.
I think the best type of exercise is something that you can do consistently, brings you joy most days and happens in an environment that is positive. Core Collective hits all the marks for me!
Their classes are all-levels so you’ll practice alongside beginners and people who have been taking classes for years. The instructors are very good at helping you get oriented, and after a couple of classes you’ll get the hang of things. Core Collective offers a great range of class times so it’s easy for me to fit workouts into my calendar. I would recommend signing up for classes early because they do fill up quickly!
I’ve seen my strength, flexibility, balance and confidence grow after practicing for almost 2 years at Core Collective. Try a class and invite a friend :)

I’ve had a fantastic experience as a regular at Core Collective. The instructors are all great. They each have their own diverse style and personality which I love; it allows you to get to know your favorites and pick and choose classes based on what you’re in the mood for. I’m an older Millennial but never feel out of place; the ages are fairly diverse and everyone is friendly and welcoming. Very unpretentious and a great workout!

I highly recommend Core Collective! Prior to joining the studio, I had never taken a pilates class before, or even seen a reformer, but all of the instructors were very intentional in making me feel welcome and helping me get used to the classes. There are a wide variety of class times, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, which is super helpful to be able to go around my work schedule, and the scheduling app is easy to use. I've never felt like I'm just taking the same class over and over again because the instructors do an amazing job incorporating different equipment and exercises that keep classes engaging. My favorite workout ever! My first few classes here were HARD as I was pretty out of shape when I started. I was so encouraged by the amazing instructors that I wanted to keep going. I love that they always offer modifications so I feel like I can make the workout harder or easier without feeling like I’m falling behind from the rest of the class. I’ve been going twice a week for a while and always look forward to my classes.

Core Collective is great! About a year ago I started working with Lauren in one-on-one sessions after an injury and a long period of inactivity. I was anxious about getting back to exercising, but Lauren was awesome. She struck a great balance of being kind and supportive while still pushing me every session. I’ve worked up to regular classes now and really enjoy them! I definitely recommend a few one-on-one sessions if you are worried about injuries or are just tentative. Classes can be intimidating at first, but stick with them! All the instructors are super kind and are helpful in offering modifications to exercises.

Having had experience as an instructor in the fitness industry in my past, I am keenly aware of the importance of instruction for beginners, offering modifications as well as having a challenging class for experienced students. Core Collective does all of that and more!!
Let me share some of my observations:
1) The instructors have been friendly, professional and have greeted me when I arrive and when I leave.
2) The instructors are demonstrating as they are teaching and correcting/improving on one's form.
3) The studio has an inviting, warm and friendly atmosphere.
4) The music is fantastic.
5) And let's not forget the most obvious... an excellent Pilates workout.
I love supporting small business and am very happy that I found the studio!

I really hate to be the one that is leaving Core Collective their first less than 5 star review but it is really for the safety and the knowledge of the public.
This is not Pilates as intended by Joseph Pilates. This is an exercise class on a Pilates reformer and it could potentially harm those that do not know how to use a reformer properly. Never have I gone to a Pilates class where the instructor had us add all of the springs on and then “leg press.” That is not how a Pilates reformer is intended to be used. Not once did an instructor mention breath work or form or when to use imprint spine vs neutral spine. There was no talk of where the move should be coming from. There was no mention of pulling in our rib cage or engaging our pelvic floor. There was no Pilates nomenclature at all.
I have been going to reformer Pilates classes for over 8 years and this is not Pilates. Don’t get me wrong, it was a pretty good workout: I was sweaty by the end of the class and I was sore the next day but I was not sore the way one should be after going to a Pilates class. Also, the instructors here do not go through the 500 hours of proper Pilates instructor training.
I’m sorry, Core Collective, but your practices are very dangerous and your classes are not Pilates.

I have been doing reformer Pilates for over two years and I’m obsessed. I had a place in California that I went to as often as possible, 5 or so times per week. When we decided to move to Ann Arbor, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a place as good as my place in California, I figured I’d have to “shop” around to find a place. Core Collective was the first and only place I tried. Once I tried it, I knew it was the perfect place for me. The classes are fun and challenging, there’s a great variety of class types, the instructors are wonderful, there a wide range of class times! I’m so happy I found Core Collective and I’d highly recommend it!

I love love Pilates at Core Collective. I started for the very first time last August, and was immediately hooked and have been going consistently ever since. I really enjoyed the physical challenge of the workouts, and it did not give me the usual pain in my knees and hips that I experience in other workouts from my loose ligaments. In my six months there I have noticed great improvement in my strength, flexibility, and balance.
All of the instructors I've worked with there are very intelligent and have a great understanding of anatomy, which I hugely appreciate. They teach great classes with modifiable levels of challenge, and are very nice and welcoming. I have always struggled working out publicly, but I feel that Core Collective is a safe, non-judgemental space for me with the instructors, and the other clientele as well!
Highly recommend. <3

I found core collective almost five months ago and it has honestly been the best decision I’ve made! After having a baby I was looking for some form of guided exercise that I could do at my own pace and level to rebuild my core and just return to being physically active again in general. I had heard of pilates, many of my friends swearing by it, so I decided to give a try.
I always had that nervous feeling going back into the gym after a while and had that same feeling going into Core Collective. However, I’ve never felt more valued, comfortable and included as I do at Core Collective from the moment I walked in that first day.
There are several instructors and I love every single one of them of who I’ve attended their session so far! They guide you, allow you to go at your own pace, but also encourage you to improve, excel and push your hardest.
The app makes it so easy to book sessions and I love that you are almost guaranteed to find a session that works with your schedule!

Core Collective saved my life. Grad school made me so sad (mentally & physically, positive feedback loop). But attending this studio made me happy as I slowly saw myself get leaner and stronger. All the instructors are extremely passionate about Pilates and I leave every class sweating profusely because the classes are always always challenging. I’ve been going regularly for several months and I still get sore the next day. This studio is truly a gem in A2 (reasonably priced too) and I am so grateful that my friend introduced me to it.

I've visited several studios in the US, and this one is by far my favorite. It stood out to me because the staff is extremely personable - the instructors are quick to learn your names and are very friendly. As a newcomer, they take your time to help you adjust to the reformers and show you the ropes to the studio and the programs. There's a variety of classes offered by different instructors, all of whom are kind and have their own strengths/preferences, so while it takes some time to get used to each instructor, you can quickly get a sense of their strengths/preferences. It's worth noting that each lesson is different so it's good if you want a variety of workouts since no two classes are the same, which I particularly like since time goes fast when the routines are new and engaging. I also like how the classes are based on time and not committed to a specific time/instructor, which makes it convenient for me (and many students) to choose based on my schedule! I also appreciate how the last five minutes of class are dedicated to stretching - it's a great structured time to actually get a stretch in and decompress after pilates. Overall, I like the other students, instructors, and the overall warmth of the environment. I somehow manage to walk out of class always feeling content and regulated despite coming in not being in the mood to workout :)

Can't recommend Core Collective enough! This is my first time ever writing a google review--that's how compelled I feel to say good things about this studio and its warm, generous, amazing team of instructors. After taking classes here for a few months, I moved to ny and couldn't find a studio that came close re variety of classes, intensity, and just general vibe (and I looked hard!). I'm back in Ann Arbor for a little bit and back at Core Collective for as long as I'm here :) They've expanded their instructional team and I'm consistently impressed with the breadth of what's on offer and how attentive instructors are to every person in the room. They care, about us and about what they're doing, and it shows!

I would recommend this studio a thousand times over, whether you are new to pilates (like I was), looking to begin your fitness journey, or a seasoned fitness junkie :)

I love this place and couldn't recommend it more. I'm newer to Pilates and after one intro session with Lauren, I was hooked. I have struggled in the past to find a workout that can keep my attention and motivate me so I am so happy that I came to Core Collective because every class feels new and innovative and I actually look forward to the workout. The instructors are talented, knowledgeable, and friendly. The sessions are challenging physically (in the best way) while the instructions remain easy to follow because they are excellent at communicating. The studio also has a great aesthetic. It is a very welcoming and motivating place!

My time at Core Collective has been the most welcoming pilates experience I could have imagined! I came in as a beginner looking for a low-impact way to strength train as a runner. The instructors have all been so helpful, and after only a few weeks I noticed better posture and running form. Thank you, Core Collective :)

I’ve been coming to Core Collective for about a month now and I absolutely love it! This was my first time doing reformer pilates so I was a bit nervous coming into it but everyone there is so nice and makes you feel so comfortable. The classes definitely challenge you, but do so in the best way and they offer many modifications to suit your experience level. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

This was my first experience with reformer Pilates classes and it has been an amazing experience. The classes offer a perfect level of challenge with modifications for beginners and advanced. All instructors are easy to follow directions from, supportive and educated. The class atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, with people from all shapes and ages joining. They offer a variety of classes - my favorite has been Core Jump (mainly cardio) and Row + Restore. I have recommended Core Collective to several people. Keep up the great work!

I’ve recommended Core Collective to all my friends! I tried a class as a first-time student in reformer pilates, and I loved the way it helps you work muscles and stretch in ways I never would otherwise. I also really appreciated how the instructors took notice of me being new and helped me learn the forms.
Thanks to the team here for creating such a really welcoming, friendly, and encouraging environment :) It really makes this place feel like a soothing escape, except that it’s also helping you become stronger and more flexible.

I joined core collective last year and let me tell you, it was the best decision I have ever made. I started first with 8 classes per month and quickly progressed to 12 classes and then unlimited without a second thought. Month after month, I noticed significant changes in my stamina, core strength and weight. The studio is so cute and quirky and not to mention clean. The instructors are amazing and friendly. Despite a class of 15, they keep eyes on everyone and give you advice and pointers on correcting your form. Special shout out to Lauren, Gigi and Lindsay! I love how every class is different and not the same routine over again. I highly recommend this place for everyone looking into pilates and a fun/effective workout. Wonderful experience!!

It is completely worth it! The prices are way more reasonable compared to other studios. The instructors are so welcoming and motivating. I'm pretty disappointed in the studio.
I found the booking process to be extremely difficult because the website isn't user friendly at all and there isn't an app for booking classes. Furthermore, the classes are usually completely booked unless you can reserve more than a week in advance, which doesn't work for me because I can't always attend classes on a set schedule due to career and family demands (3 young kids!)
On top of it, the studio isn't client friendly. I had been going there for once a week for about 2 months when I got an email from a total stranger introducing themselves and saying that they noticed I haven't booked any classes and if they can assist me in booking classes. Whar? Have they even looked at my account to see that I've been showing up once a week? Any other previous studios I have been to, the owners/managers/instructors make a point of getting to know the members and I feel like I'm just a number in this studio.
I feel like the studio cares more about recruiting more clients instead of improving on quality of the experience they provide. First, a user friendly booking app would be really beneficial. Second, you don't have enough classes to offer all of the members you have. Booking is super difficult. Third, get to know your members! Make them feel valued! People don't mind spending money for quality products, but they also expect to get what they paid for. I feel like all Core Collective cares about is making money and not customer service.
It's been a very disappointing experience.

I’m sorry I’m not sorry that this is going to be a long review – the TL;DR version is that you should check Core Collective out. :)
Whether you’re brand new to reformer Pilates (like I was) or a seasoned pro considering joining an Ann Arbor studio, you found the one! Core Collective is an absolute gem! It is my happy place and my daily dose of sanity. I’ve been coming here for just over a month now, but I have taken… a lot of classes. In addition to feeling stronger and healthier, practicing Pilates with this phenomenal team has provided me other, unexpected benefits. For instance, I am feeling happier, more energetic, and more in tune with my breath and with what my body needs.
I did a good amount of research before joining Core Collective. I tried out a few studios around town to figure out which one seemed best matched to what I was looking for. Because I had never been on a reformer before, it was very important to me that the instructors would give me easy-to-follow cues and would check my form to make sure I was doing the movements correctly. It also was very important to me that they offered many class times from which to choose so that I could fit a workout in to my busy (and variable) schedule. Another big, big thing for me was that the studio had a sense of community – both between the instructors and the members and amongst the members. Check, check, check!
Over and above these “must haves”, Core Collective has many other wonderful features. Although the classic reformer sessions make up the bulk of the classes I attend, I have come to love their cardio classes that make use of equipment other than the reformer (although the reformer can be used for cardio, too, with the fun jump board!). They have rowing machines that you sometimes use in the “Core Cardio” classes and always use in the “Row + Reform” classes (obviously). I try to work one or two cardio-themed sessions into my routine each week and really enjoy working up a sweat in addition to spending time strengthening key muscle groups (admittedly, sometimes I enjoy the rower more AFTER I’ve completed the workout rather than DURING the hard pushes, ha!).
In addition to the cardio equipment, they have other accessories you sometimes use for additional support or challenge (e.g., weighted bars, support balls, etc.). I don’t think I’ve had a chance to play with all the various accessories yet, but I’ve liked what we’ve used so far in my classes.
If studio ambiance is important to you, that is another way in which Core Collective shines (literally). It is a clean studio and very aesthetically pleasing.
Really, though, my favorite aspect of Core Collective is how wonderful the people are. I have taken at least one class with every instructor on their roster, and have only positive things to say about every single one of them. Not only are they great instructors, but they are kind, fun, happy, and wonderful humans! An added perk is that the members also are great -- catching up with the ones I have come to know before or after class has been a real treat.
So, in case you can’t tell, I’m totally Team Core Collective. :) If you’re curious about trying it out, check out the free introductory session. After that, you can sign up for an affordable one-week “trial” package before committing to an unlimited or session-pack monthly membership. (The other studios I explored didn’t offer that).
Ps. Because I can’t help myself, one more thing: the app (and website) you use to sign up for, reschedule, or cancel classes is super easy to use, and you can have it add your classes directly to your calendar. This is important to me since Google Calendar is my overlord.

Every time I walk out of Core Collective, I feel accomplished and excited for my next class. All of the instructors are upbeat and encouraging. I have a genetic hypermobility disorder that can easily cause injuries. Emily and her staff have always listened to my concerns as well as offer input on modifications to help keep me and my joints safe. This is extremely important to me as in the past I have been patronized and spoken down to for needing modifications in other gyms/studios.
This is a small studio where you can truly start to feel like you are part of a family the more you go. Emily genuinely cares for her clients as well as her instructors.
Personally, I love that when I go to class, I never feel like I am in competition with anyone else there - it is an environment where you are only competing against the person you were when you walked in the door.
If you are looking for a workout that is effective without being too hard on your joints, Pilates is for you. But, if you want that workout in an environment that makes it easy for you to want to actually go to class every day, Core Collective is the place.

Core Collective is the best. I've relied on yoga for about 15 years and I was ready to add something new and do more strength & conditioning. I tried out three pilates places in Ann Arbor and Core Collective is next-level. Emily & the team are so amazing -- they're friendly, relaxed, they love teaching, and they don't assault you with memberships or psycho fitness culture. The studio just feels like a bunch of buddies getting together to listen to music and workout for fun. I've tried reformer pilates several times over the years, including fancy studios in big cities, and it never really clicked for me until now. Coming from yoga, sometimes I feel like a beginner in pilates and other times I need the advanced moves -- the CC teachers are great at helping you adjust to get the most out of it for you. Also the classes are 45 minutes rather than an hour, which is AMAZING and somehow makes it so much easier to squeeze a class into a busy day. And they have classes all day at all times, which helps a ton too! I have been managing to get in twice a week, which is a first in my life. THANK YOU!

I’ve been attending classes at Core Collective Ann Arbor since their opening in December 2017. I LOVE coming here for several reasons:
1. The instructors are all incredible. Each has her own style and element in their class, but all of them are kind, helpful, and clearly have a passion for what they do!
2. The studio is clean, and has tons of natural light.
3. The members are all amazing and bring good-vibes. I don’t come from any sort of athletic background, so it’s important for me that my place of fitness does not feel judgmental- This place is all good vibes and encouraging.
4. They clearly WANT us to keep coming! They’re great at reaching out to the community to find ways they can better meeting the needs.
5. Obviously, the workouts are fantastic! My muscles always feel more sculpted and awake during the class- and the day after.

I've been going to Pilates classes at Core Collective since September and I can't say enough good things about this place! Everyone working here is so friendly and knows each client by name -- I've honestly never felt so welcomed by a studio before. The classes are catered to every fitness level, instructors give modifications to each move to make the workout easier or more challenging. Emily (the owner) changes the schedule monthly based off customer requests and she works with each person to make sure their plan works best for their needs. I came to Core Collective, never having taken a Pilates class before, with a goal to build strength after a recent surgery. Since then, I've never done the same workout twice, and I've built more core strength and stability than I had during my competetive swimming years! I highly recommend Core Collective: these classes will challenge you in many and new ways.

I have been doing Pilates for years, and attend classes at different studios in the Ann Arbor area. Core Collective of Ann Arbor is a fun and fresh fusion of Pilates and HIT barre etc. The classes are affordable, and plenty to choose from. Love taking classes from Emily.

This is an amazing studio! As a college student I had been looking for a fun place to workout that was still affordable and had lots of class times. This has been the best place I've tried in Ann Arbor. I get a great work out every time that's always different! I hadn't done pilates before but I have always felt comfortable thanks to amazing instructors like Emily and Hannah. I recommend this to anyone no matter what level of fitness and after about 6 months I feel like I could hold a plank for days.

I completed the Sweat and Reset Challenge - it was just what I needed to refocus my health during this unusual time. Thank you!
The classes were challenging for me as a pilates newbie, but I did gain some strength and improved my familiarity with the reformer. Emily and Elliot were excellent teachers, correcting my positioning in the moment and motivating our group well. I enjoyed the inward focus of the food and exercise logs, too - it helped me realize where I could improve my overall health. I would recommend this program to those who need a little nudge to get back into more healthy habits. Emily was very supportive through the process, and her passion for health and wellness is clear. Thanks, Emily and Eliot!

Pilates is amazing; the range of exercises is huge and I've never felt bored or like sessions are repetitive. I'd only done pilates on a mat and the reformer allows the instructors to be super creative; I'm finding muscles I didn't even know I had! Class size is perfect where you get enough coaching not feeling too crowded.
And about the culture...not all gyms are welcoming to plus size folks. People assume strength only comes in certain body types. Core Collective has been lovely that the community is diverse in bodies, ages and race. It makes me feel welcome.

This studio is a hidden gem. Open and inviting and not at all intimidating. The Pilates Reformer classes are a great workout. Each class is carefully instructed with clarity and ease so you know what you are doing and what to do next, without having to rely on your neighbor. Every class is different and the time on the reformer flies! Before you know it, the music slows to a relaxing tune and you are guided into stretching and cool down. Your body and mind will THANK YOU. You'll leave class feeling stronger, balanced and more focused. The class bonus is a souvenir of body soreness in areas you never knew you could target in a workout! Lastly, do not be fooled by Lauren and Emily. :) They are very friendly, will greet you warm smiles and then slowly and gently kick your bum! Totally recommend taking a class or 10!

If you’re looking for where to make your workout home, you need to look no further than this studio. I’ve tried many exercise programs here in Ann Arbor and this is by far my favorite. You not only get an excellent workout, but you get a community of people to laugh with and encourage you when you’re not sure you can keep pushing yourself. I’ve not only grown stronger and more flexible, but I’m happier and feel more connected. Emily and all the instructors are so nice and are genuinely happy to see you. Even when I broke my foot, they worked with me so I could keep taking classes. I can’t think of more generous and encouraging people. Classes range from traditional reformer to more cardio-based on the rowing machine and HIIT style to stretching and restoration. There’s definitely something for everyone!

This is the best fitness studio in the area and it not is only Pilates, they also have rowing, high intensity, barre and suspension classes! All of them are very challenging and always different so you will work out every muscle in your body. The staff and instructors are super nice and the place is always super clean and welcoming. If you are not sure the first class is free and they have a very nice starting pack for only $10 that will make you love this place!

I highly recommend this Pilates studio in Ann Arbor! This is the best Pilates studio in so many ways. The owner and teacher, Emily is delightful, warm, caring, welcoming and very knowledgeable. She is also a superb Pilates instructor. She has created a studio where the classes provide challenging exercise but are also fun and comfortable for everyone to reach their own level of attainment. All of the teachers are excellent, with their own style and pace. They are helpful and answer questions about any of the exercises, and show their knowledge of Pilates and the body by how they shape their classes. In the 2 years+ I've been taking classes at this Pilates studio in Ann Arbor, I've gained enormous strength and flexibility. These classes have helped me to overcome knee surgery better than physical therapy. Three friends who I recommended to take classes at this Pilates studio in Ann Arbor, who each had hip and shoulder injuries, are regular students and say the same - the Pilates classes were better than physical therapy.
I highly recommend taking classes at this Pilates studio in Ann Arbor. Not only is it great exercise, the structure, hard work, fun and discipline of being in Emily's Pilate's studio helped to keep me sane during this pandemic.

I've sampled several Pilates studios around town and I love it here! I was pretty happy at my previous studio but for challenge, price, and convenient class times this is the place for me. The atmosphere is positive and supportive and I am able to take my 12 year old with me, which we LOVE. The variety of classes are great. The Strength and Stretch class has helped me quite a bit with dealing with a chronic injury I have. Modifications are always offered for differing abilities during class. If you are very new to Pilates and are trying to recover from a significant injury, I might recommend either some private sessions or a semi-private reformer class elsewhere initially (here they have 12 reformers to a class), but other than that this is a wonderful, inclusive place to keep moving.

"This studio is by far the best gym environment I have ever been a part of. The staff are amazing, welcoming and very knowledgeable. I was a member last year, but had to take a hiatus due to complications with my pregnancy. I just returned and I am so happy to be back!! I am a person that does not love to work out, but do it because I want to live an active and healthy lifestyle for myself and my family. The classes taught here are challenging, but still very doable. I always leave feeling stronger, motivated and excited to return! I highly recommend becoming a member! This pilates studio is an amazing place! The instructors are extremely warm and welcoming, while the workouts are very challenging. My physical therapist recommended pilates for me to heal from a long-term injury, and when I was exploring membership, one of the studio owners did a private session with me just to walk me through form and learn about my fitness needs. I was already "in shape" from years of barre classes, but the classes work muscles I didn't even know I had! I would highly recommend it!

As someone who has never considered myself in-shape or fit, these types of places always make me uncomfortable. I joined a friend one day and enjoyed it, but wasn't ready to make that commitment to myself. Fast forward to now. I have had the pleasure of joining a 2 week kick-start program. It was exactly what I needed. Emily, listened to my concerns about previous injuries, fears, and goals. She gave me "permission" to confidently modify the exercises to my ability level. During class she always provides modifications, which helps me to remember this is my workout and to focus on my best and not worry about what others are doing, which in group classes can be difficult. Emily provides a welcoming/supportive environment for everyone.
COVID Specific - When I started a few weeks ago, we were outside. We have now transitioned inside, which I was a little nervous about, but there is ample space and everything is sanitized heavily and regularly! Very Safe!

I started going to the studio in December of 2019 at the recommendation of a friend. I have had an amazing experience with all the teachers.
One thing I will say - don't let Emily and the teachers deceive you! They are super friendly, encouraging, but they make some mean and tough work outs!
There are good options for class times. Scheduling is easy to do online or through the Mindbody app. I can typically get off the waitlist for classes and find the morning before which is helped by the fact there is a recommendation to cancel 6 hours before.
Studio is clean, has good lighting (lots of natural light), and there is easy parking. It is a bit cramped at times. There is a bathroom, no shower. Also a water filter station.
Overall, I love my experience thus far and have started going several times a week. Emily's passion for fitness and her friendliness make it an accepting provider and this traits are also emulated by the other instructors.
There is a fundamentals class to try out, I recommend that you don't start out with suspension training for your first class!

Great classes and options with knowledgable instructors. The classes are approachable and can meet you wherever you are- I started while recovering from an injury and had the help to find adjustments as necessary. As i got stronger again, I could take the same classes and make it more challenging. The range of classes offered also help you find a nice mix of classes for a dynamic week of workouts.
It's also a wonderful community- something I had been struggling to fin when I first moved here- super friendly and welcoming and wanting to get to know you and introduce you to others!

I had a hip replacement over a year ago and find that reformer Pilates helps me stretch and strength in ways that is unique to my fitness repertoire. Not to mention that classes here fit all of my criteria - enthusiastic instruction with targeted feedback, suggested modifications, inspiring music that fits the entire workout tempo, continuously novel ways to stretch and strengthen (and to aerobically challenge with jump-board classes), inviting atmosphere, clean studio, friendly staff and a fair price.
