My initial review was a couple of years ago when I had a great lesson as you can see from below. Recently, however, my experience has been much different. I purchased three lessons from them and have not been able to book and they have since expired. I have received no phone or email responses from them either which leads me to believe that they are possibly out of business? Disappointed in my recent experience.

Recently had a session with Eric. Have had lessons previously but Eric was truly the first to help me break through some of my bad habits! My first shot compared to my last shot really showed progress!

Eric did a really good job of explaining the mechanics necessary, and why. He immediately picked up on my problems and helped me make the adjustments as well as little ways to help stay on track.

Really loved the video summary after the session. Will be booking again, highly recommend!!

Eric is an outstanding coach. His nonjudgmental attitude creates a warm and welcoming space, and his focus on one thing at a time has helped me improve my game without feeling overwhelmed. As a beginner, I was nervous about getting started, but after a month of working with Eric, I've been able to get some bogeys on the course. The setup at Eric's facility is impressive. With a variety of tools and two simulators, you can easily track your progress, assess your shot, and watch your shots through two camera angles. The feedback you receive from both the simulator capabilities and Eric's expertise is so helpful in fine-tuning and understanding your movements. My fiancé and I have been taking lessons together, and we've both benefitted from the structure that Eric has set up. It allows us to work independently, practice and get coaching all in one session. We're happy that we bought a package and will definitely keep returning.

I have been going to DGF for almost 2 years. And my golf game has significantly improved because of it. I have had the privilege of working with Eric for my lessons. And he has become a phenomenal Coach for me. He is very down to earth, and can work with anyone who walks through the door. Child or adult, big or small.

If you’re willing to put in the work. I promise you results will come. I started in DGF with an average of about 55 through nine. And in just one year Eric brought me down to 45 thru nine. And i am seeing a path to even lower. My drives went from barely scraping to 200 to smashing up to 300+ on a good drive and averaging about 280.

I have already recommended this place to several of my personal friends and would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to improve their golf game.

My brother and I have been taking lessons with Eric and it’s been excellent! He is a fantastic teacher, great communicator with awesome tips and friendly. I started with no golf knowledge while my brother had been playing a few years. He sees where you are at and works with you from there instead giving a blanket lesson. Both of our swings have really improved. Great area with excellent equipment. We can’t wait to continue! Thank you for an awesome experience!

Coach Eric is excellent. He provided many tips in my first lesson that have dramatically improved my game already. He took extra time to ensure I not only understood the swing flaws via video but left me with key next stepsto work on. After a few trips to the range my game has improved significantly. I highly recommend Downriver Golf Factory for lessons. The facility is great and Eric is knowledgeable and friendly. I did the 12 week off-season program and I am heading into the year playing the most consistent golf I have played. My bad rounds have gotten substantially better and my good rounds have become more frequent.

I had my first visit to the Gibraltar Golf Factory last night, I left very impressed. I worked with Eric Strong, it was easy to see that he enjoys working with people. The electronic equipment that we used analyzed approximately 20 different details of my swing. I was also videoed from two different angles. After each swing we looked at the electronic data, review my swing in slow motion and analyze what I was doing, and what I needed to do to correct the problem. He doesn't just tell you what do, he discusses everything in great detail, and shows you with a demonstration so you clearly understand. Using the same electronic equipment I have seen how his technics have improved my swing. There were so many things I was doing wrong, and that won't disappear in one visit, but he has given me the tools that will allow me to make the correction with practice. I plan on working with Eric in the near future on other aspects of my game, but first I need to practice what I have already learned.

Went in to hit the range on trackman... and to check them out as I "was" looking for a pro to help my game. Talked with Eric before a bit and after he finished up with a lesson, he came in as I was finishing up my "practice". Started talking and without me realizing he began to see a few things and ended up getting a lesson, very personable, and insightful.
Well it went so well I have booked sometime next week for my wife and I together. I dont believe in coincidence . I've been playing for 46 yrs, with some success, without any professional instruction. I'm in the best shape in decades, and with Eric and Rick's help and the Lord's Blessing, my dream can come true, now that life has come full circle.

Just an average golfer around a 14-16 handicap. In the past, I have received lessons from other instructors. Then I came to Downriver Golf Factory last week for a new perspective. Talk about a confidence booster, I had a 1 hour session with Rick H. and left there feeling that I can actually improve my game this year. He made sure to focus on just a couple things to help me and I didn’t feel overwhelmed with information. The next steps are up to me to ensure I remember and practice what we went over. I was so eager to work on what we cover in the lesson (with my irons) that I went to X-golf that same weekend and could tell I was hitting the ball with much more accuracy and consistency. Would absolutely recommend and am looking forward to schedule another session in the upcoming weeks.

Had an hour lesson with Eric. He was able to help correct my grip and swing. Very patient and his instructions were easy to follow. Worked on irons today, was able to improve my horrendous slice, distance, and accuracy within the hour time frame. Gave different drills to practice at home. Had a 1 hour lesson with Rick and within that hour he figured out a few key items that was causing poor club path. We worked on it and was able to fix it within the lesson. Prior to my lesson I was hitting my 7 iron average 142 due to my club path and cupped wrist. After the lesson my 7 iron average is 168 with more accuracy. Rick was great to work with, will definitely be back again.

Very bad experience this is like some sort of Golf scam. Rick has no training and barely knows the basics of golf. I also did not appreciate him texting my 18 year old daughter directly. Seemed very sketchy on his part as I was the contact for her. Buyer beware and obviously most of these five-star reviews are his family and friends.

Update: Rick claims to not know us and then says he was out of town when we came in. Get your story straight do you know us or not? This is a smalltown and you have a very bad reputation. Stay away from this this guy and this place!

Rick is a fantastic instructor. I have extremely limited mobility in my left arm and he was been working extensively with me to help find a comfortable grip to maximize my golf potential. Goes above and beyond and will listen to feedback and what YOUR wants are out of the lesson. Tells you exactly what to work on and drills to take home too. Good guy. Taking a 1 hour lesson with Rick was the best money I've spent on golf! I've played golf on and off for a couple of years and I've really struggled with how to improve. Rick was able to diagnose a couple of key things that I was doing wrong in my swing and gave me some great advice for how to fix those areas.

By the end of the hour, I was already hitting the ball both longer and straighter. After the lesson, Rick sent me a video summary of the lesson and explained how to practice so I can lock in the changes to my swing. I'll definitely return again in the future!
