My granddaughter loves gymnastics. Since she turned 3 and moved to the Hopper's, she is left hanging. Coaches do not teach and they are looking everywhere but at the routine. No coaching at all. If I want to take my daughter to just jump I would go to a cheap play place. Step it up. My granddaughter is really good for 3 and pays attention.

This is a great center for gymnastics. They offer several classes and activities for your kids to learn, prepare, and excel through their programs. Additionally, they offer party space for birthday parties for kids to enjoy.

the thicker lady with highlights seemed like every question i asked was a stupid question. she seemed annoyed to help me. i almost left. the reason i didn’t/don’t give one star is because the guy who was working inside the gym (chase?) was awesome, kind and accommodating

Me and my girls have been a part of the DG family for YEARS. We spend a lot of our time in the gym and have grown very close with the staff and environment. The coaches take the necessary precautions in making everyone feel comfortable and motivated to make progress in their skills. We love DG, and this is why we come back day after day, year after year.

Paid for a month of classes on 11/12 they were charging me AGAIN 2 weeks later… they told my daughter to have me come in, I did and they all ignored me while they talked to eachother. If I didn’t have to come here for my daughters cheer I wouldn’t come back. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My granddaughter takes an aerial silk class on tues @ 500pm. The instructor for this class is awful. Today I got to watch her give pony rides w/kids. Wrestle on the floor w/them. I've been watching this class since Sept and very disappointed in this instructor. During this class, My granddaughters foot was stuck in the silk and couldn't get out as she laid on the floor w/her foot hanging in the air.
Instructor not even paying attention. We also got to learn how to swing today!!!! Did I mention my granddaughter is 9 and already knows how to swing!!! Dont recommend this class

My son loves the Ninjakour. We had a new coach for one day (Jacob). He was really the only who taught the kids. He’s a true coach. My son got more skill building from him in one session than the 5 weeks prior. Mostly the other coaches just let the kids do random things.

I'm disgusted. Thankfully I was only a guest at a birthday party, But the place was gross. There was random water bottles laying around and there was used bandaids laying on the floor. Pipes on the floor were exposed ( not covered by mats), I could go on... I looked at my socks after getting home, they were gross, my husband and daughter's were too. We were thinking of starting classes there but this experience was a huge turn off...

Hands down the absolute best gymnastics center I have ever stepped foot in with my children. Downriver gymnastics is more than just gymnastics, they're family! The gym is always clean, and safe. Downriver Gymnastics has always given that little bit of extra.my two boys have participated in the summer adventure program for the past 10 years. Even with immediate family I have chosen to bring my kids to their day camp program they get so much more than just gymnastics. They have friends they've played with for the past 8 years I' love the retention rate this company has year after year returning summer camp students,its more then a day camp, my oldest loves the hands on science experiments and crafts my youngest loves physical fun with such a wide variation of games and play,and last year they even had yoga which I could never imagine my son's partaking in but they loved it! Downriver is our summer go to! Can't wait to get back in the gym!!

I love this gym and i think there is no replacement for it. All the coaches coach differently so, if you don't like one there is always another . I think it is very clean and organized .They always put your safety first no matter what . There are great staff and gymnasts . Many older gymnasts want to come back as coaches . Many amazing gymnasts have been taught here and I hope to be one of them!

I was a gymnast growing up and I attended Downriver Gymnastics for most of my childhood. I used to have the best birthday parties here! They even let me have a sleep over birthday party! Whenever I come to visit Michigan again, I like to stop by. They always made me feel like part of a large family. Coach Lisa is amazing. Love her.

We aren't impressed. Our daughter has been here for over a year and she knows literally NOTHING. There is no structure, no method, no credentials, no progress, no communication. I understand they're meant to have fun BUT I'm not paying for basically a class that's run as an open gym. I'm paying for my child to learn respect, discipline, and perseverance. I've met mothers who enrolled they're children in Mills at the same time as my daughter and they're doing so much more than her. I know it's not a competition and every child has their own pace but I know my daughter is capable of more. We have now made the switch to Mills as well.

My daughter loves being in gymnastics but every time I've needed to talk with the front desk, they're always very rude with bad attitudes. This is more than one person and multiple times. Also, depending on which coach you have, they may take water breaks every 15 minutes wasting time. However, my biggest issue is with the awful front staff which is making me consider switching locations.

When I spoke to the owner she refused to acknowledge the situation and then had the nerve to ban my husband and me so she wouldn’t have to deal with our complaint. I wasn't a fan of the first class. They crammed 2 classes together, 1/3 of class was stretching and instructors seemed preoccupied with discussion. The second class was great! Separated classes, instructor was engaged and my son got a lot out of it! Very happy with the direction the class is taking.

Yes, I can watch them but a progress report or a conversation would be great. I'd like to know what they need to work on, what they have improved on, and what will make them better.
