Came in to cancel my membership due to a family emergency. The front desk guy was literally playing a card game on the computer and couldn’t be bothered to help. Told me about a $150 fee and just shrugged when I asked for help, saying “call the manager.” I left a detailed voicemail and never heard a single word back. Easily the most unprofessional gym I’ve dealt with.

Worst gym ever, dirty, unhygienic, old equipments, old work out carpets smells and lots of dust, and worst of all changing and bathrooms are so old broken lockers, stains everywhere, rust, spider webs and worst they never pick the call, and one time they picked told me having internet issues will call back then dropped right away, One week later have not received the call back, I tried calling they turned off their phone, pathetic customer service. The billing system is so outdated they dont even support various insurance needs so you got to bang your head against the wall to figure out how its gonna work. Not recommended at all !!

Impossible to cancel subscription! They’ve tried charging me $50 every month for over a year! When I called asking for assistance (this was the second time!) they were not only rude, but told me I have back pay and tried to charge my card 3 times while on the phone. It was not permitted to even try the charge! This person could’ve over charged my account by $900 or more. The employee sounded like she was under the influence, she was trying to rush me off of the phone, charge my card for an unexplained $350 fee, and would randomly get distracted. She would then yell at me about the $350 fee not going through. I had to lock my account while on the phone, I knew something like this would happen. This place is sketchy!

I went to this gym for two years and it was a great experience. They had all the equipment I needed along with a sauna and tanning bed, which were nice added extras. They were always bringing new equipment and trying to fix their existing equipment. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Sadly, I had to end my membership due to moving, but my cancellation process went really smoothly and was super easy. Great spot!

This has been my favorite gym in Kalamazoo for 5+ years now. It’s an older gym, but I personally love the chill and welcoming atmosphere it brings. There’s so much space available, so it never feels crowded or like you’re on top of each other trying to use machines. I especially like having the women’s-only section when I want a little extra privacy. Cristi is amazing and so helpful, the rates are extremely reasonable, and it’s 24 hours so it’s been perfect for me.

I love this gym. Cristi is always available and very helpful. Every time I needed to make changes to my membership she was very helpful and accommodating. When I was dealing with harassment management took me very seriously and handled the matter to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. This is a very good gym if you don’t want a lot of people. Billing is a scam here. I signed up for the gold membership and it was a one year deal. The manager was even nice enough to have it end a few months before since I made it aware I’m leaving a few months before the year is up , she told me she noted my account. All of that was an absolute lie and scam. Now they’re telling me it’s a two year contract. Don’t come here , or you will be scammed! Just read the other reviews of this place saying the same thing.

I hesitated to write this review because I genuinely liked this gym and its owner. It’s a great facility for those who prefer to work out without large crowds, and it meets all the essential fitness needs.

Unfortunately, I need to address an issue regarding billing. I moved out of state in July 2023 and canceled my membership around June or July 2023. Recently, while reviewing my bank statements, I noticed that I was still being charged a $30 monthly fee for a membership I had canceled. These charges date back to October 2023, which appears to align with the gym's annual renewal period—though my membership should not have been renewed since I had already canceled. While there were no charges in November 2023, December 2023, or January 2024, the total amount deducted since October 2023 is $459.98.

I attempted to resolve this directly with the gym by emailing them, but I received no response. I also called multiple times on different days, both in the morning and afternoon, yet no one answered. Since I was unable to resolve this through gym management, I was left with no choice but to dispute the charges through my bank.

I regret having to leave this review, but given the lack of communication from the gym, I have no other means to address the issue. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback and improves their customer service and billing processes moving forward.

UPDATE: Gym manager called me out of the blue to argue with me and harass me about this review, and to tell me how this billing situation is actually all my fault, according to her. It was a very odd and combative conversation that basically boiled down to demanding I "do the right thing" and delete my review so I don't hurt a small business owner. Again I will reiterate, I did do the "right thing". I called the gym multiple times during what are "staffed hours", and got no resolution or answer.
If you are reading this and want to call back again, please leave me alone, and don't hunt down and harass other people for leaving bad reviews either.

Randomly resumed charging me (3 charges in 4 days) over a year after cancelling my membership. I'd like to note that the card they had on file had expired months prior, meaning they updated the expiration date without even attempting to get my consent to do so, and showing that this was definitely not an accident on their part but rather intentionally dishonest scamming. Could not get a phone call answered to resolve this issue with them or clarify why they had chosen to do any of this without contacting me, and had to cancel my debit card as a result. Nice facilities, but maybe sign up with a prepaid card if you don't want to be stolen from.

Update: The manager, Cristi, reached out to me after hearing what had happened (below), to straighten things out. It turns out that I was misinformed when I registered...She was very nice, understanding and prompt about it. I was eventually offered a refund, for what I understood to be my thirteenth monthly payment. Greatly appreciate her kindness. To reiterate, the gym itself is fine, location is nice, just had some communication issues when I registered.

Original: Endurances facilities are totally fine - the issue is that their business model is to scam you. I signed a one year contract, and visited the location several months prior to when the contract was suppose to end, to cancel it early. I was informed that I would be charged a fee, which would cost me more than just letting the membership expire (and was explicitly told that the membership would not auto renew). Thus, I decided to let the membership run its course and expire. One day before the year contract was suppose to end, I went into the location AGAIN, to confirm that my membership would be cancelled. I was told that my membership had ELEVEN MORE MONTHS remaining. I asked how that’s possible, considering I was told that the membership doesn’t auto renew, and was told explicitly, for a second time, that the membership does NOT auto renew. The following day, I was charged, which would be the thirteenth month I was charged by the gym. I contacted the gym by email twice, and was never responded to.

I’ve been a member at Endurance Fitness for about 1 year and I’ve enjoyed working out there! It’s in a great location, close to many apartment complexes and residential neighborhoods, businesses, and I-94 highway. It’s a medium-sized gym with a good number of treadmills, a swimming pool, and weight & multipurpose rooms. I enjoyed lifting in the women's only weight room as it was not crowded and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly, especially Christy and the rates are very affordable.

Pretty good gym. Only one squat rack (I think they are putting in a new one) but I rarely had to wait that long. There isn't a dedicated deadlifting area but people just use the floor and it's okay. There's a big open area too. Good vibes from staff and other gymgoers. Everyone puts away their weights and cleans machines after using. It's not boutique - sometimes the bathrooms and floors aren't the cleanest. But it gets the job done pretty well. I hope it survives the pandemic and reopens.

Small friendly location. I've been there for 2 years now, The system used to get in is smooth. Staff have always welcomed me and answered my questions. I remember signing up, it was easy quick and the membership was well explained and at a great deal. I use cardio and weight room, it's always clean and some good music is always playing. I love how it's not crowded. If you're not an absolute gym head and want to do some weights and be in a friendly environment this is the place. I truly recommend it.

I signed up for an apartment lease which included a gym membership. I paid $25 for the whole year so I didn't really care too much about the shape it was in. If I want 24/7 access, it's an extra $10/month, otherwise they have weird hours (from memory, may not be 100% accurate: 6am-8pm M-TH, 6am-4pm F, 9am-2pm Sat, and closed on Sundays). In case you're looking to join here, I advise looking elsewhere. There is usually at least one broken machine (sometimes more!), the ladies locker room is...severely lacking. A lot of the lockers don't actually close properly, so even if you put a lock on it, you can still open the locker. I've seen the same lock on a locker since I've been going (almost a year now). You can hear the people running on the treadmills above you, but I swear, it sounds like they are going to fall through. They have a separate area for women's gym equipment, which is nice...but most of the machines in that room aren't in the Co-Op. There's a huge lack of ventilation, so you can usually smell everyone and the cardio room is either super hot in summer or you're under a heater vent in winter. I've never been to any of the classes or the gym, so I can't say much for that. On a positive note, I usually get a hello and goodbye from the staff members.

Used to be a great conveniently located gym but since new management it has gone down hill pretty badly. Equipment is always broken, the sauna, when it does work, is disgusting. No one behind the desk knows where anything is and you can never get them to answer the phone. Walked in to inquire about any discounts for veterans and the lady that apparently was the manager was entirely disrespectful as if me asking the question inconvenienced her. Signed up for the free 14day trail to try something new other than planet fitness. Endurance gym seemed to have more to offer because of the sauna and pool. When I went in the first employee was friendly and showed me around. When I asked questions about pricing she instructed me to work out first and see if I liked it and to stop up at the table to talk about pricing when I was done and I agreed. My first thought of the gym was it was dirty and they hardly deep clean the place. Despite that I still wanted to give it a shot. After working out I went up to the table as instructed and told the desk person that I had questions. The desk person was a different person than the previous lady by this time and she was chatting on the phone and asked me to take a seat. This new person continued to finish her conversation on the phone with another employee completely bashing their boss. I learned the boss has a "big stick up her ass" because the employees are not filling out contracts correctly amongst many other nasty things about the boss. After 15 mins of hearing this conversation I decided to leave and never come back.

They said it was reoccurring which I did not agree to. They can see that I have not checked in for well over a year and yet did not reimburse me for the time I was not going. This gym is a bit sketchy. They kept charging me monthly after my contract had ended, even though that was not stated IN my contract.

The men's locker room was NEVER clean. The soap and paper towel seemed to be always out. The hot tub/sauna seemed to be out of service more often that they should have been and the steam room didn't work at any point while I was there. I impression is that they just don't have the finances to support themselves which is probably why they're always running 'specials' to get anything they can.

The staff was never RUDE but they certainly never went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience.

I will however concede that they had adequate equipment and machines. I can't knock them entirely.
