Erin Cantrell Fitness is Ann Arbor's premier boutique fitness studio. We offer personal training, Pilates, group fitness classes and nutrition coaching. With over twenty years of experience, we cater to fitness enthusiasts in Ann Arbor. Our HIIT, Strength & Endurance, Yoga Sculpt and Pilates classes are programed for results and are designed for ALL levels of experience.
Erin Cantrell Fitness is a path where you find accountability and new limits, and that’s how individuals grow and become strong.
No long-term contracts, all sessions are A La Carte, including student rates! We also conduct corporate fitness programs, virtual and concierge sessions.

Very chic studio, the energy is upbeat and motivating. The studio space is immaculately clean and well cared for, the instructors make a point to connect with each client and hear their goals and concerns, I felt very supported and inspired to keep coming back and working on my strength. I took "Buns and Guns" (one of the many pilates classes) and it was a great total body workout with a focus on our glutes and upper body, the combination movements really helped to challenge me but with the adjustments from the instructor I felt like I got a magnificent workout. Will definitely be going back!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Erin Cantrell Fitness — this place rocks! As a beginner in the gym world (and yes, the oldest person in the class most days!), I was honestly a little nervous walking in. But from day one, I felt nothing but welcomed, encouraged, and supported.
The community here is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Everyone is so friendly, positive, and uplifting — it truly feels like a second home.
And I have to give extra props to Fallon, who has been an absolute superstar. She’s incredibly patient, motivating, and supportive.
Her full-body workouts are thoughtfully designed, and she always encourages me to go at my own pace without ever making me feel out of place. Her energy is infectious and her guidance is spot-on — I genuinely look forward to every class with her!
The facility itself is top-notch — clean, modern, and in a prime downtown location with super convenient parking. It makes getting to class easy and stress-free, which I really appreciate.
I never thought I’d say this, but working out has become the highlight of my week. Erin Cantrell Fitness has helped me find strength, confidence, and a new kind of joy — and I couldn't be happier.

I loved ECF from the moment I walked through the door for the first time -- Erin was the first person I talked to and was so kind, warm, and welcoming. She even made a point to check in with me after class to hear about my experience. I have had so much fun sampling a bunch of different classes and have settled on a couple of them to add more structure and community to my ongoing training. Every single teacher has been amazing and very helpful and they're obviously all incredibly knowledgable. The clean space and extra touches (great music, cold towels at the end of class, high quality equipment) give me the extra push to make my early morning classes. I am obsessed with this gym! I haven't taken a day off since I joined because I love it so much! Every trainer I've had is motivating, fun, and supportive. Erin clearly puts a lot of thought into who she hires and has done a phenomenal job creating what I would call a gym culture. This gym is a great place for seasoned fitness enthusiasts looking to maintain peak level fitness and for those who may be new to developing a regular fitness routine. As an experimentalist and lifelong learner, I look for a gym that keeps me engaged with variety. This gym offers exactly that with its class types ranging from pilates mat classes to strength and conditioning classes and even restorative yoga. No class is easy which I like! I cannot tell you how excited I am to find ECF. After moving from LA a few years ago the one thing I've struggled to find is a gym that offers the types of classes I had been taking - good variety, make you feel like you've had a full body workout, have every age and body type in class, and offer a fun atmosphere without losing the intensity. ECF has it all. I don't know how it took me so long to find you! Already looking forward to tomorrow's class!

I started doing 1:1 training here early in my pregnancy with my 2nd child. Erin and team helped keep my diastasis recti under control and my core muscles in tact. I continued training up until 39 weeks pregnant. My recovery after labor was SO FAST compared to my 1st pregnancy. I credit all of this to Erin and team. Thank you 🩷

Whenever I come to town I have to come to ECF. The facility is gorgeous and the trainers are some of the most knowledgeable trainers I’ve met in one facility, and that’s coming from a fitness professional. The workouts are challenging and the atmosphere offs welcoming. You must try them out.

So happy I decided to try ECF!! I was super reluctant as an older woman, but I couldn’t have found a more perfect spot!! I love that she offers multiple classes, personal training, and massages!! I have really been enjoying my one on ones with Mason, he pushes me hard, but does a great job with not breaking me, the perfect balance!
I’m already seeing results and it’s only been 3 weeks, and cannot wait to see where I’ll be in 3 more weeks!! 🤗 Anyone looking for a “Sports Specific” trainer, Mason is your guy!!!

I just passed my four year anniversary of working out at ECF! This time has been truly life changing for me, in terms of my overall health and wellness. My personal trainer, Heather, is a perfect representative of all the great things about ECF. She has been my trainer for all my time there, except the first month or two. Heather is always upbeat, always positive, always motivating, and always ready to go. That’s what’s kept me coming back, even on the mornings I didn’t really feel like it.
I couldn’t be more pleased with the improvements to my health and strength. One of the best decisions I’ve made in my life was to trust ECF with my health at the time I did.

I started with EC in October of 2022 with nutrition coaching and personal training. My doctor said I could go on medications or try to make healthy lifestyle changes. At 55 I I was pre-diabetic and my cholesterol was higher than it should be. My friend set up a consultation for me at EC. I met with Heather and set my goals…lose 30lbs in a safe and healthy manner and to get physically fit. By August of 2023 I had lost 30lbs, and reduced my body fat by 12%. I had regular coaching sessions with Heather and did strength training 1x per week. Heather changed my life and I will be forever grateful to her for her ongoing support, and coaching. I was in treatment for breast cancer for the first 4 months of our journey and when I was to tired to even think about meal planning she sent me recipes, meal plans, lists of foods to eat to help with energy , encouraging texts between appointments and when I was traveling for work I didn’t miss my workouts as they also provide virtual coaching. It’s amazing the workout you can get in your hotel room. Heather helped keep me focused on my goals. I will never forget her words while I was undergoing treatment that still stick with me today;…”think about food as medicine for your body”. It kept me on track. I highly recommend nutrition coaching with Heather if you are ready to change your life. There are times you may go backwards but she will keep coaching you forward you just need to trust the process and stay committed. I am on maintenance now but continue with occasional checks ins and the only weight I have gained has been muscle. I love seeing the results with the monthly scans and as a result I continue to see progress with my fitness and feel amazing. A few months ago in addition to my weekly personal strength training with Heather, I have added in classes 1-2 times per week with Mandy and love it! Mandy is a ball of energy and provides an excellent training as well. I love that if I miss class she checks in, it helps to keep me accountable. All the trainers at EC are focused on helping you achieve your goals. The studio environment is a great atmosphere that you look forward to. Thank you to all of you at EC, you are amazing and thank you for changing my life.

Did a drop in class with a friend to check it out with a friend - the 45 min tread and strength HIIT with Mandy and really enjoyed it. Mandy is a great trainer and loved the workout. The 45 min went by fast, totally would go for an hour. The treadmills were great - really nice quality and have multiple functions (including sled mode which we used today). Everyone was so nice! Met Erin, the owner , she was so sweet and the other trainers we ran into were great!
The space was awesome. So well done. Nice set up, cozy/inviting and lots of great equipment.
Classes of 10 max is a great size too so you get that camaraderie without it feeling too big.
Would definitely love to come here consistently if I lived in the area, but was a great spot to get an excellent workout in while home over the holidays. A lot of great options for different types of workouts.

She pushes you to challenge yourself but will also provide modifications depending on how you're feeling. Karthik’s enthusiasm and belief in my ability to do hard things is infectious. I had the pleasure of attending yoga classes with a wonderful instructor named Sarah. She exudes professionalism, care, and a delightful sense of fun. Sunday mornings became my favorite time of the week thanks to her classes. Highly recommended for a fulfilling, relaxing and enjoyable yoga experience; great way to start your day! Class is petit, as it serves 4 people max, which makes attention almost personalized. Sarah is super sweet and always checking on how you are doing!

I started going to Erin Cantrell this past Spring and am so glad I found this studio! I’ve taken a few different group classes and have found the Power 60 Strength class with Dylan on Saturday mornings are my favorite. The group is small, so there’s a lot of attention on each individual, and the workout is always different so it keeps it interesting! Dylan is awesome - very knowledgeable and a passion for what he does, which shows. Definitely recommend ECF to anyone looking to get/stay in shape!

I started going to Sarah Hartman's yoga classes and immediately made it a point to go every chance I got. She meets you where she's at, her classes are intimate, and she is very thoughtful about her teaching plan and the tone she sets for the class. I have back pain, and going to her yoga class is better than a massage!
I also started doing personal training with her and she is extremely attentive and experienced - really glad I met her in yoga!

I absolutely love Sarah’s yoga classes and couldn’t recommend them enough! VinYin is a perfect balance of flow, some sweat and deep stretching and it’s a great way to end my Wednesday or start my Sunday. I absolutely love the challenge of Friday’s power sculpt! Mandy was my trainer. I struggle with social anxiety and body image but Mandy made me feel welcomed and cared for. Mandy was so involved in my session it was as if my personal goals became her own. It was as if she personally wanted to see me succeed. I loved that.
In addition to the mental stability I felt, Mandy was also knowledgeable of the science of strength training, hyper focused on form, and injury prevention. I have a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am certified with ACSM, TPI, and Barwis Methods. I was a trainer for 8 years and am now pursuing a classical pilates cert. Coming from an experienced trainer, Mandy has mastered both the science for getting the results you’re working for and the social empathy to keep you excited and coming back for more!
Lastly, I absolutely love the decor and layout of the facilities! Everything is spotless, fresh and clean. There is even an area for clients and staff to sit and chat with one another.

I've worked with Erin and Benton and they are extreme professionals and masters of personal training. This is a great business and they assess you well and start where you want to start - that is called active listening and knowing how to treat a customer. I even had them speak to my Physical Therapist who I have been working with to address tendonitis in my achilles. Benton has been incredibly surgical in helping me stabilize my balance, strengthen my core, and evolve my athleticism for my sport of tennis. I was so excited with the efficiency of my first workout, I told my wife to start going as well. Thank you!!
