Was never notified that the gym was closing, getting charged for March even though I have to go 25 minutes to the nearest location. Can't even get ahold of management to speak to someone to get an explanation. Will never be a fitness19 member, nor recommend this name to another person.

Very disappointed to see that this location (which was very convenient) has closed and received a form letter in the mail - for notifying all members of closure virtually the same day that the gym actually closed. Nearest location is now nine miles and 15/20 minutes away. Was billed for the month and also for annual membership just days before closing at this location. Pretty shady and underhanded.

I went in on 1/12/17 to cancel my membership. I was told at that time that I would NOT be charged the annual "maintenance" fee which comes due in January. However, 6 days later I was charged. I left several messages for a manager to call me. When "Brandon" finally called he was rude and condescending. When I asked to speak to the owner, he said that he was instructed to never give out the owner's name. Very poor treatment of a customer who has been a member for several years. Apparently the owner does not want to be bothered with customer satisfaction. Very poorly managed, would not recommend.

Management is very disorganized and rude. Gave me the wrong information and kept charging my account after it was closed. Never returned calls and was extremely disrespectful when trying to solve my issue. The air condition has been out on many occasions and the floors are very dirty. The price would be reasonable but they have charged my childcare for more without informing me and as well as increased fees without any notice. They said it was easy to cancel but so far has been a nightmare. There are many other facilities in the surrounding area that will treat their customers a lot better, I recommend you try another gym!

Well being a member since 2007 I really hadn't had any problems but recently visiting other gyms and starting to compare I can see the low quality that fitness 19 has to offer staff not friendly.. or helpful.. not will to negotiate any problems you may have with the gym it's not surprise to me that planet fitness has taken half of there members and does so on a daily basis. I don't see much of a future for the Commerce location

Buyer beware. I had been a client at Fitness 19 in Commerce since 2008. In 2013 I began working with a personal trainer. We trained until Summer of 2015 when she was fired. I had asked for my money back, but was told they would not do that, but I could train with someone else. My trainer was the first I ever had and I didn't feel comfortable training with anyone else, so I took time away from the gym and in that time another manager was fired and a new one came in.

When I finally decided I would use my remaining sessions with another trainer I was informed they had no record of my contract. I told them I could bring in my bank statement, show them my text messages with the old trainer. I asked them to call her or the manager at the time she was fired and they refused. They offered me a "discount" but I had paid $500 for my 20 sessions and had a minimum of 15 left. My trainer and I often went contract to contract and in this instance I wasn't given a copy, but I wasn't worried about it because I certainly wasn't expecting her to be fired. This was the lesson learned on my part.

In January I filed a civil suit asking for $375 (15 sessions worth). My trial was today, March 3rd, and I brought everything I offered to show Fitness 19 to prove my contract before filing, including my former trainer and easily won. They brought with them a contract I had from 2013 to try and show I know their "policies" about having 6 months to use my sessions, yet the claimed they had no record of my contract existing.

Come to find out someone instructed the employees at this gym to take my trainer's contracts out of the gym a bit after she was fired. My trainer has other clients who are going through the same thing, but I was the first one who took it to court. I would advise you not to be a member at this particular location, if you do choose to and ever want a trainer have your attorney present before you do anything. They have no problem taking advantage of their members and bank on the fact no one will do anything about.

I am now a very satisfied member at Planet Fitness across the street.

Covenient,no hastle,friendly staff and very,helpful,when needed...I just think the hours should be extended on Sat..till 10:00 or 11:00...that would be nice

I have been a member of Fitness 19 Commerce since they have been open. This is a great gym. The staff knows me and my family by name and the manager was even at my wedding. They just remodeled the place and it looks great. New dumbbells, new flooring, new bathroom set up, new TVs, etc. The reviews from some people on here like Jeff Hills review couldn't be further from the truth. I and other members/friends that I have talked to have nothing but good thinks to say about Fitness 19 Commerce. And one more thing you can't beat the price. And you all know you like that:)

Fitness 19 is a well established gym in the community with a very welcoming and friendly staff. The new renovations as of Aug 2014 only add to the overall experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to live a healthier lifestyle.

The remodel they just did looks great! This gym is affordable, has kind/helpful staff, experienced personal trainers on staff, and is judgement free. Thumbs up from me!!!

Fitness 19 is not only an asset to the community but also the gym I attend. Fitness 19 is a clean, laid back gym that is great for those who are just starting working out and those who are in advanced-training.
The Fitness 19 staff has always been exceptional towards my sons and I. Using their child care facility when my sons were young was great!
In addition, as a fellow business owner, I know first hand that Fitness 19 is really into supporting the community like I am. They donate to local charities, events, fundraisers, etc. I, personally, know how much work it is to be consistantly active in the community and a business that does the same earns my support.
